Pretend your a BOINC cruncher, You dont know cryptocurrency, I tell you about BiblePay and you click this link:
http://wiki.biblepay.org/BOINC_Researcher_Setup

Will you succeed? Will you get stuck or confused somewhere?
(I assume these crunchers are fairly tech savvy)

Is there any incorrect information, is there any information missing?

Also Note: The wiki is open for anyone to edit or add notes/comments to!

Im having some trouble with my PODC rewards, I haven't recieved any since superblock 75860 (October 9th), does anybody have a clue what may be going on? My PODC updates are going OK, at least 5 times a day and my RAC is over 1K.

Help List from Luke (znffal) from Discord:

1. What does the output of the following give you?
exec getboincinfo
exec stakebalance
exec podcupdate true

2. Have you solved any Rosetta/WCG tasks in the last 24 hours?
3. Are your computers on Rosetta/WCG hidden?
4. What is your name in the pool list?
5. Is your controller wallet connected to the internet 24/7?
6. What wallet version are you running?
7. Is your wallet encrypted? If so, are you entering the password when you start up the wallet?

I have been running the BiblePay wallet 24/7 for 12 days now and I have been getting my regular once a day PODC payment. Today however, for the first time, I got some coins with the label "Mined" in my transactions. What is this? Have I been mining in the same time? Where do these coins come from?

I think BiblePay Wallet by default runs 1 miner thread for the Proof of BibleHash (POBH) [Proof of Work] algorithm,
I think it runs for 250ms and then sleeps for 250ms and repeats,
Sounds like you solo mined a block! congrats!

Reference: PODC UPDATE FREQUENCY
http://wiki.biblepay.org/Distributed_Computing#PODC_Updates
"In order for automatic PODC Updates to work, you must leave your controller wallet (with DC association), mining with a genproclimit=1 or higher, and your HPS in getmininginfo should be above zero"

So just rehashing the steps real quick for new cruncher:

0. Overview - Lightly Explain BiblePay, PODC, Staking

1. Download/Install Wallet

2. Get coins from Non-BiblePay Team Faucet (Enter CPID and Address, go over how to generate an address, how to find CPID)
QUESTION: Will the coins have to wait 6 confirmations before they can be used for Associating BOINC account to the wallet?

3. DC Tab, Associate (Enter email and password of research account)
QUESTION: Does this only support Rosetta@home? Can they enter in WCG credentials?
Notes: http://wiki.biblepay.org/Distributed_Computing_2#PART_C._Link_BOINC_Account_to_BiblePay

4. Run exec totalrac command, figure out how many coins you need for staking
4a. Profitability equation, BBP Fiat Value CoinMarketCap

5. Buy coins (Buy Bitcoin [Create account, Use CC or Bank], Buy BiblePay [Create account, Send Bitcoin, Explain Limit Orders?])

6. Transfer coins to Wallet for Staking, Keep Wallet on 24/7, Get paid every day, exec getboincinfo

Misc: encryption, backups

Anyone know if the mandatory update to 1.1.5.7/9 removed the rosetta@home requirement, meaning that you can research on WCG only and still receive rewards?

Let's say someone posts a prayer in the wallet and the prayer is either answered or is no longer relevant due to new circumstances.

How does the poster remove their prayer?

Currently I think only Rob has the key/power to delete a Prayer object.

I think his vision is to have an upvote/downvote prayer/content system that also adheres to GDPR so that users can delete their content.

im wrote here ... where is problem and why theymos doesnt trust you and bbp ... no proofs from profi ADVISORS

What is a professional advisor? Do you know any professional advisors?

What I took from his message is BBP needs a lot more third-party reviews and news, that's not coming from within BBP. You can hire auditors or PIs, but that's BBP justifying BBP. I believe that if there was more information coming from OUTSIDE, it would be a big help. The coin needs reputation, not justification.

I like it, How do we get more reputation?

Did you seriously write --BiblePay added new Charity Report Command: "exec theymos". That's just silly, unprofessional and pandering.

I think your looking for something that isn't there

Theymos 4th Rejection for Bitcointalk Banner Ad

"Still no. I'd probably only be comfortable with BiblePay if a lot more info, news, and third-party reviews of your practices come out. As-is, I'm not particularly convinced by your responses to my previous concerns (though admittedly I don't have time to spend more than a few minutes looking at it), and I see a lot of red flags. If I was convinced that BiblePay was like "Litecoin with a bible theme and a donation thing", then I'd probably allow it."

Arghhh, what else can we do?

I can try to pay Theymos for his time?
Hire an auditor? Hire a private investigator? LOL
Videotape ourselves calling Compassion?

If Compassion mentioned us publically that would be cool
(I dont know how to show proof of an email, and also my screenshot of the email was edited to take out Lukes last name)
I can poke Jim on twitter, its on my TODO list
But I need an article first, that explains how much we have donated to them, anyone want to create it?

Should we start some sort of bounty campaign?
If you can prove our donations were illegitimate we will pay X Bitcoin.
If you videotape yourself calling compassion, we will pay X BBP.

Thank you for working on the report Rob, I wont give up!

Just talking out loud,

Does the "exec totalrac" command work if a cruncher hasnt linked/associated their BOINC account yet?

I ran it on my wallet that isn't associated:

Code:
exec totalrac
{
  "Command": "totalrac",
  "Total RAC": 0,
  "UTXO Target": 10,
  "StakeBalance": 767944,
  "Threshhold to receive 10% rewards (below this UTXO Amount rewards are lost)": 10,
  "Stake Level Required For 10% Level": 10,
  "Stake Level Required For 20% Level": 10,
  "Stake Level Required For 30% Level": 10,
  "Stake Level Required For 40% Level": 10,
  "Stake Level Required For 50% Level": 10,
  "Stake Level Required For 60% Level": 10,
  "Stake Level Required For 70% Level": 10,
  "Stake Level Required For 80% Level": 10,
  "Stake Level Required For 90% Level": 10,
  "Stake Level Required For 100% Level": 10,
  "Total Team RAC": 7914764
}

But in order to link a BOINC account to a BiblePay Wallet you need BiblePay coins?

So they would have to buy a small amount to link/associate BOINC first,
and then run exec totalrac and then figure out how much more they need to buy for staking and then buy more?

Hmmm, so ideally then, we do want them to join Team BiblePay and get the Faucet reward,
so they can start with funds for the BOINC Association, So they can run exec totalrac?

The CPID Burn is about 1.001 BBP? Is there a way we can have a faucet that gives new users 2 BBP?
I assume most all of these crunchers will want to stick to their teams and cant do the faucet?

Would we want some sort of Web Calculator for Staking? Where user enters in RAC manually?
Could even pull in real time BBP price to give a fiat value

If all they need is ~2BBP, then this should suffice - http://biblepayfaucet.com/

The problem is, that faucet pays out about 0.06 BBP each time right now, so they would have to do it 17 times to reach 1.001 BBP

I believe SEO_Account runs that faucet, last contact with him was a few months ago, I could contact him again

If anyone feels like making some posts in some Boinc forums, it might be a good time to let some of the top teams know that BiblePay is accepting researchers with no team requirement.  I'd be interested in seeing how they react to this in their own forum.  IE US Navy, Oracle, etc.

First post I plan to make is in the THOR Challenge thread for Team CSF, Byteball already got away with advertising there hehe

I just wanted to make sure our on ramp, our instructions/guide is good first

Converting the crunchers is currently my highest priority, Ill be going strong on this over the next few days

If anyone else is joining in on this, please be careful how you advertise, so far I see that WCG forums have rules against soliciting,
so try to advertise in a way that doesnt totally come off as an advertisement

So like in the Bitcointalk forums, when I got temp banned, I was posting these huge 10 line Ads,
afterwards I started posting just 1-2 line half ads that had some more relevancy to the topic haha
497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay ✟ Governance ✟ Help Orphans ✟ PODC Cancer Mining ✟ Deflationary ✟ on: October 17, 2018, 11:48:49 AM
Excellent start.

So on the faucet, I think the faucet would go bankrupt if we turn off the team requirement and leave it at 1000 bbp.  I think we will either need to keep as-is and let them change the team, pull the faucet reward, and if they want change the team back they may do so.  If we remove the team, I believe we need to lower the reward to 50 bbp.  So for now, let's leave it as-is, and require team biblepay for the faucet reward.

For the UTXO requirement:  Yes, they will need 2 BBP per RAC to receive the PODC minimum rewards.

Thanks Rob!,

Given your feedback, I think we should leave out mention of the faucet,

I did find that with Staking, we only require:
0.8 BBP per 1 RAC for 10% reward
18 BBP per 1 RAC for 100% reward
https://github.com/biblepay/biblepay/blob/87d751ea7eee9c97ded2b747b312253dc772f238/src/podc.cpp#L249

So if a cruncher has say 30k RAC, they would need
24k BBP = $12, for 10% reward
540k BBP = $270, for 100% reward

and the crunchers will be thinking, how much BBP will I make in a day? How soon will I make back my stake investment?

(Personal RAC / Team RAC) * Daily PODC Superblock Budget * PercentReward = ~Daily Payout

========================================

Okay so here is Draft #2:

========================================
========================================

Steps:

0. World Community Grid crunchers, make sure your My Profile has "Display my data" enabled, Click Save
https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/viewMyProfile.do

===

1. Download BiblePay Wallet
https://www.biblepay.org/wallet/

===

2. Buy BiblePay (BBP) coins and Send them to your BiblePay Wallet

To be rewarded BiblePay (BBP) coins for your Recent Average Credit (RAC) every day,
you will need to buy and store at least a small amount of BiblePay (BBP) coins in your wallet first,
this is called "staking".

To get 10% of your RAC rewarded, you need 0.8 BBP per 1 RAC in your wallet
To get 100% of your RAC rewarded, you need 18 BBP per 1 RAC in your wallet

BiblePay is typically purchased using Bitcoin which can be purchased using local currency.

A. Figure out how many BiblePay coins you will need and how much it will cost
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/biblepay/

B. Buy Bitcoin (BTC)
https://www.coinbase.com/

C. Transfer Bitcoin and Buy BiblePay (BBP)
https://www.southxchange.com/Market/Book/BBP/BTC

D. Send the BiblePay coins to your BiblePay Wallet

===

3. Link your BOINC account inside the BiblePay Wallet

"Distributed Computing" tab >> Enter Account >> Click "Associate"

===

4. Keep BiblePay Wallet running 24/7 so it can send daily staking updates

and now you'll get paid BiblePay coins every day!

Daily Payout = (Personal RAC / Total Team RAC) * Daily PODC Superblock Budget * PercentReward

You can look up your account by CPID to view payouts:
