Tried switching to chrome- getting password error message again.

BBL
Tried copying and pasting your password so you will be sure you have no uppercase letters there?

Bingo!  Had to change my password because one or more characters were not reading properly but works now.

So what was the problem? you had a uppercase which you didn't input on your tablet?

To be honest i think this is a wild and crazy thing but if this is to actually come to fruition you would have to buy a micronation, one that had enough land for people to actually live there. We are talking about spending TONS of money, could you pull it together? Maybe.  Also if you find anyone actually willing to sell you might be able to get ThePirateBay to go in maybe 10-20% if you make a deal with them for certain laws and them moving there. (as they were in talks of making their own nation to avoid copyright laws)

It may be wild and crazy but it is possible and would be awesome if it could be done.

Didn't the FBI capture the main TOR server a while ago...?

I don't use TOR, used to though. After I read the main server was captured, I decided against using it in the future. On Ubuntu, just run the bundle. That should be enough to get it working.

That was Tor mail and not the actual Tor browser.
Oooh ok, I guess that makes sense after reading the article again. Maybe I'll consider going back to it, it wasn't too bad of a browser. I pretty much everything that it offered, and it did it well.

So any word on if the OP got it running yet?

Got it running in Ubuntu. But would really love to use it on slackware.
485  Other / Meta / Re: Can you sell/buy bitcointalk accounts? on: July 17, 2014, 05:13:33 PM
Seems like the majority of the account selling is for signature campaigns as they normally state in their post that its already enrolled etc.

Can't wait for the WC in Qatar.

You might be waiting a long time for that. If the World Cup is held there, expect a long of protests and drama

If they don't change that I really hope the Dutch refuse to take part. (and of course I hope others will follow that example).

I should imagine some will try to refuse and there will be a change when it comes close to the WC.

I've run in fine on Ubuntu before. What are you trying to run it on?

I've got it running on Ubuntu. But I WOULD love to get it running on slackware as I love using Slackware.

I couldn't justify purchasing something like this I would be scared someone would scratch it and would only have it in my show room.

491  Other / Off-topic / Anyone got Tor working for Linux? on: July 17, 2014, 04:29:31 PM
I've been trying to get it to work for awhile now and wondering if I do get it to install correctly then will it still be secure or is it simply not suppose to be run on a Linux machine.
492  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: re:Would you be interested getting around 50 btc and more? on: July 17, 2014, 04:28:30 PM
If ever in doubt about a program run it in a virtual environment which will help with security.
493  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Do You Buy BTC? on: July 17, 2014, 04:26:46 PM
I try to use localbitcoin when ever possible and try to meet up with other Bitcoiners to keep the money within a local radius. otherwise I use other exchanges.
494  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what is the best online wallet for my spending money on: July 17, 2014, 04:25:44 PM
You can't go wrong with Blockchain, info they don't have access to your wallet or private keys. you just have to keep your computer secure which is easier said than done.
495  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: any way to get a couple mBTC for free? on: July 17, 2014, 04:24:42 PM
I don't know how much that gives, but you can get free coins by opening a blockchain.info wallet and sharing it on twitter. There's a publicity about that on the wallet's page.

I don't think it's that much otherwise it would be exploited rather easily.
496  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why does losing ~10,000 satoshis feel so bad? on: July 17, 2014, 04:23:50 PM
I get this feeling too. I know faucets give out nothing, but I can't help doing them.

You'll soon realize that it's a waste of your own time. within those days to get 6 cents you could of made that in 10 seconds.
497  Other / Off-topic / Re: I need a new game on: July 17, 2014, 04:19:29 PM
mmm based on the games you like i would recommend Mount and blade: warband

i don't want to sugarcoat it or hype it too much so i'll let you check it out.
It's a really awesome game for sure. It's funny, though, because one of the reasons it's awesome is because it's really "small," with devs just kind of off doing their own thing on this antiquated engine. Somehow, they found a group of devs (the same people who did the Eador remake, incidentally) who licensed the engine to create a Pirate-themed M&B focusing on ship combat. Early access version up on Steam, not "released" for a couple-few months. http://store.steampowered.com/app/293010

M&B Warband is a great game especially with the amount of mods which you can install and the make that much better. I don't know how many hours/days I have spent on this game amazing.
