481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What You will do in this situation? on: February 20, 2024, 10:11:46 AM
~ If you go to such a person to sway him away cos you think he can do better in the alternative, you might be destroying him, do not also forget that if he has no passion for the alternative, he might incur series of losses despite knowing about the game. If such happens, you will always be blamed.

That's most likely what will happen if his friend losses money after switching to sports betting. It's better to treat gambling as entertainment and then it doesn't matter in which field you are an expert. Just do it for fun, and maybe you can win big one day because of good luck, but don't try figure out how to make money on it regularly.
482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: February 20, 2024, 09:28:01 AM
~

good points again, you can find a balance where you gamble for fun with money you can afford to lose and don't become and addicted
and you are right 1% house edge isn't so high, I didn't know it was like that
even for slots.

what is the game you play the most?

It used to be Dice for like several years when I only had started with my gambling career. Then I switched to poker(not Video Poker, but real poker with real people at the table). And it's slots for like 3-4 years. I really like playing slots with good animation and sounds. Also, I've been always doing sports betting ... in fact, there's probably no game in gambling that I haven't tried. Smiley
483  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: February 20, 2024, 08:44:06 AM
Does Roobet now require mandatory KYC? Why am I still able to withdraw my funds from Roobet without taking any KYC process?
That's odd. They have enforced mandatory KYC for sometime now and I had to submit KYC level-1 too even though I am an old player on their site. There are more levels too, but they aren't mandatory.
~

What's odd to me is people are afraid of KYC so much. Why? Do any of you think that those evil people who want to steal you identity haven't done that yet? There are so many ways to do it besides asking about it openly on a gambling site, you can't imagine. Just relax, submit KYC level-1 and move, people. Live easier. Smiley
484  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Anyone +18 Play Gamble? on: February 20, 2024, 08:19:01 AM
Yes, they do.
What does that mean? At some point in time when we were 18 we were also inexperienced gamblers. No one starts as a pro. I mean, there might be tutorials out there about the games but one gambler should still take that first leap and try betting on his own and that part is unteachable.
I admit I started way young and I got a good idea about gambling and how it works but still, before I learned all that I watched people doing it first before I learned how the game works. But the next part will be the most difficult because you will sit there and gamble your own money, that's where we get more experience and I won't achieve that if I didn't try at first.

I think every legal age has the right to gamble and it is up to him how much, when, or where. The gambling industry is growing way fast, I am more worried about the younger age people who are faking their ID's just so they can do what the old ones are doing.

Yes, that's a problem in some families. Not in all families, because usually parents explain their kids that gambling, like engaging in sex and drinking alcohol and some other things,  is not for people below 18.

I hope there will be more effective ways in the future to ban teenagers from gambling. It's just a matter of time.
485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: February 19, 2024, 12:14:35 PM
~

I believe when comes to betting on events like this one (elections and political happenings), it is common to see lower odds than in some sport matches, that is true, that is the downside. The upside is that there is a lot of time for people to analyze (with the United States elections we have literal months before choosing our move) and we have more resources to lead ourselves to a right prediction, you know: polls, rallies, news; now we have indictments, scandals with secret documents... This could be a good chance for some people wise within the political analysis so make some good money, even those with those low odds. It must be kind of weird for someone like you to be in the spotlight of the news and becoming an important factor for the United States to choose their next leader and the alleged leader of the free world.
I believe you have told me before, you think Trump does not actually many chances to become the next president of the country, if so, then you should step forward and wager some money in favor of Joe Biden, not much, though. It could be fun.  Smiley
I am myself waiting for this year to continue to advance before finally deciding where to put my money on, if you already have a choice then do it.

Yes, it can be fun. I mean, I think I'll wager a dollar closer to the elections. It'll give, what, three dollars? Still it will be fun, right?

Now look Michelle Obama is the third favourite among gamblers:

I would definitely wager a dollar on her if you ask me. I'll wait a bit and maybe the multiplier for her will be over 10.00 again and then I will place my bet. She has a good chance in my opinion.
486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do i handle my first gambling experience on: February 19, 2024, 11:40:22 AM
~
That's right, I believe that what you're saying is a fact that people do experience when they're in a losing situation, trying to identify their mistakes in ways that sometimes seem absurd to most normal people. The point is, if you are always looking for something in the sense of trying to find what you did wrong that made you end up losing then obviously I think your actions are completely futile, and you will only create your own excuses which are basically not the real reasons that made you lose.

However, as I said before, these are the things that you will feel when you come without a proper understanding of gambling, you will look for anything that you think is reasonable enough to be the reason why you lost at that time. This is actually a completely absurd action because the randomness of the algorithm implemented by the casino makes it impossible for us to identify the location of the error, so don't take gambling too seriously, because the name of gambling is always about winning and losing which will always be the answer at the end of the session, it's actually very simple, if you lose it means you are unlucky.

Well said. Indeed, if you think of it, there is an "error" in your actions when you spin the reels of a slot and don't win a big amount as a result. If you made that spin a split of a second later you could win. But the thing that it's unknown when to press that button. And it can't be known when is that "right moment" by design.
487  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of war on global economy. on: February 19, 2024, 11:01:39 AM
I don't care if the increase in the national GDP of some countries can be caused by war .....

You have voiced a very subtle topic.
The point is that the GDP of a country that is actively at war may look good on the one hand, but on the other hand you have to realize that during a war the GDP generates products and services that do not create additional value for the economy. Take for example the terrorist country Russia - they claim that the economy is doing well, but in reality the economy is collapsing and the population is poor. Why ? Because about 40% of russia's budget goes to support the terrorist war - ammunition, shells, equipment, ammunition, payments to terrorists of the rf army...... And all this, after a very short time, turns into smoke, burned debris, corpses of their soldiers (and the loss of able-bodied population).  So the GDP of a country at war is not equal to the same GDP in peacetime !

I absolutely agree with what you said. To me it's a pity that all people around the world can't (or don't want) understand these simple things. War is bad for any economy of any country that is at war, and it is for the global economy too. Because, like you righly said, many things turn into smoke, burned debris, corpses of their soldiers etc.
488  Economy / Economics / Re: Price Regulatory Mechanisms: The Solution to the Economic Hardship in Countries on: February 19, 2024, 10:35:26 AM
I don't know, I think when a government resorts to price controls, it's never a good idea. What government should do is keep the streets clean from garbage and criminals. They should ensure that nobody from the government officials is stealing from the state. But economy itself should be regulated by the government as little as possible. The market should regulate it.
I agree with your opinion mate. What really is a solution to every country's hardship is not the regulation itself but the lack of good governance it has. Corrupt government is what pulled a specific country's economy down not the regulation. As long as there were corrupt officials in the government regulation will always have a loophole.

Yes, corruption in the government on various levels is what makes lives of most people miserable, especially when they are poor. I would propose to hang corrupt government officials on main squares, but I know it's the solution. Beheading is a better one. But then again, little kids might have accidentally seen it, and in my opinion they don't deserve such a trauma. So, it's complicated how to punish those scumbags, but what is certain they must punished severely.
489  Economy / Gambling / Re: How Crypto casino market themselves? on: February 19, 2024, 09:59:47 AM
I am curious to know who are their targeted audience and at what age group. In general gambling people target countries like thailand more but probably this is not the case with crypto. Do they target nerds or total dumbs? How efficient they are between their marketing tactics?

That's a strange question, to say the least. Are you a gambling addict who lost all his money and now going around mudslinging honest businessmen from gambling industry?

For your information, gambling is here for entertainment and relaxation, and some people have been cured from mental illnesses like PTSD even by gambling, both on-line and off-line.

Also, gambling industry doesn't "target countries like thailand more". Don't spread lies. Get well soon.
490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: February 18, 2024, 11:42:53 AM
Gambling at work is tolerable if you are working at home. At least when you're working at home you can contain yourself when you lose, you can make  yourself at ease because you know that you are in your own safe space. But if it is in office, I think it is hard because your workmates can notice your change of mood, either you are sad or angry, and it much harder to contain yourself because you are in the office. And yes, it can affect your performance. Because of your bad mood, you tend to get lazy and much harder to work.

So for me, let's prioritize our work first because it is our source of income. Without work, you have no money, when you have no money, you can't gamble. Gambling is just there for side hustle and for fun. Do not let gambling ruin your work.

For me, working from home or working in the office doesn't make much of a difference. Only you will hardly punished for your gambling if you are doing it while working from home.

My advice, if you are working from home, allocate some time, like 7-10 hours for your work, and don't gamble during that time.
491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why in some religion gambling is forbidden? on: February 18, 2024, 11:11:02 AM
When we talk about religion we cannot dine the forbidden things like alcohol, prostitution and many other things in this topic we will discuss why do gambling is forbidden (Haram, interdit) .
So can you tell me why is it forbidden in your religion?
And for the non religious persons what you think ?

Not a religious person myself, but I know about it a thing or two. The main reason why gambling is forbidden by many religions is that when gamble you rely on money too much. Not on your God or Goddess, not on yourself, but on money. You believe it can bring you happiness and if it's a big amount it can make you happy forever. I personally think that it's wrong way of thinking regardless of someone being religious or not.

493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take time to read the terms and conditions of casinos before registering? on: February 18, 2024, 09:36:03 AM
~an expert. You can easily spot the parts that are different from other sites, and pay more attention to them.
If people want to read it, that's even better, even though sometimes it's not much different from other casinos, of course reading it is better, you don't have to read the whole thing because you just have to read the important points, where I'm sure every important point is also the same for other casinos, but maybe there are very slight differences. a little bit, not a lot, sometimes there are also casinos that are lazy about making copies of the terms and conditions of other casinos, as we can see, many casinos with templates that are not much different because they are lazy to develop further.

But actually, if you want to play gambling just to try with a small amount of money, you don't have to read it further, just make sure you don't break the casino rules. Usually each rule is not much different from other casinos, but for gamblers who want to play with quite a lot of money, you should read it. terms and conditions to avoid future problems just for not reading them, after all sometimes casinos often make changes to the terms and conditions on their sites without needing to notify their users.

The thing is that even betting a small amount you can win a lot, thousands of USD. And what a shame it would be if won't be able to withdraw you winnings in that case! So, I would say, no, not only you want to play with quite a lot of money you should read the terms and conditions. Save yourself from possible unpleasant situations, read them.
494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots 101: Basics, Strategies, and Discussion (with poll) on: February 18, 2024, 08:56:13 AM
~
As Panjul said, there's no shortcut to play slots... It's all based on luck, hence exploration is also part of the game.
But some information is better than no information, therefore you can find:
- Live RTP if you play on bitcasino.io or sportsbet.io
- How many players are live on a particular game on stake.com
- And public high-roller live data on various casinos

But yeah these data cannot be used for any serious analysis, IMO just use "many players are live" as an indicator of popularity if you are new to the game.

I've always  been interested in this part. If you want to be kind of a guy that is watching which slot machine hasn't delivered anything for a long time, Live RTP is for you, my friend. Yeah, I know it all doesn't matter and stuff, I want to that guy sometimes. Just for the hell of it.

What I wanted to ask, @mu_enrico, do you know, Live RTP refers to the RTP of a particular slot on a particular platform, or globally?
495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever introduced an elder gambler to online betting? on: February 17, 2024, 02:10:30 PM
Studies have shown that older adults are particularly susceptible to gambling addiction due to factors such as increased leisure time, potential loneliness, and reduced financial security. This can lead to devastating consequences, impacting not only their own well-being but also their families and communities.

However, it is important to approach this issue with nuance. While shielding older adults from all forms of gambling might seem like a reasonable solution, it may not be the most effective or respectful approach. Many seniors enjoy participating in low-stakes games or social gambling activities as a form of leisure and social interaction. Banning all forms of gambling could unintentionally deprive them of these positive experiences.

I absolutely agree with you. Low stake gambling can be like a medicine for older people. A medicine that costs much less than what they are usually taking, but at the same time more effective too. I'm not going around telling older people to gamble, but I know that I don't actually need to do that. All of them know what gambling is and using it for their entertainment, and I think they are doing the right thing.
496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does casino streamers have influence in your gambling life? on: February 17, 2024, 01:27:04 PM
~

That's right! depending to how you choose your way, if you think that by following those influencer might give you decent chance of hving some edge the outcome will be the deciding factor, though blindly following those influencers will mostly brings you to a sudden losses, it's better to have your own research and do your own analysis instead of believing from those lies which being presented by influencers who are only caring for their referrals and advertisement fees.

Most of them are not telling lies. They just show how they play and how they win. If they were saying that they win all the time, that would be a lie. But who of them is saying that?

You can research and do analysis for million years, but that will never give you an edge in the totally luck-based games.
497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: February 17, 2024, 11:13:37 AM
~
Yes it seems that you already feel the benefits of the right approach to gambling and one of them in terms of putting a very small amount of budget, one of the benefits is to minimize the number of defeats and also minimize your emotions when the results lose, I understand that with a small amount the chances of winning are also small as you mentioned, but this is gambling as I mentioned above that all the final results cannot be known and therefore it is really very advisable to put a small amount that will not make you emotional when you finally lose at the end of the session. On the other hand the gamblers who end up getting addicted are the ones who can't accept losing and it makes them emotional, you might be familiar with how emotions work, most people do things out of control without considering it first and this is gambling where you have to allocate money if you want to be involved and it means it's very possible for you to put a much bigger amount for the satisfaction of having uncontrollable emotions that drive you to do such things, this is the reason why addicts like to lose bigger amounts.

The chances of winning are the same, but if your stake is small you need to win with the multiplier like 100x to feel something. From my experience I can tell that actually it's not so rare as it might seem, but of course winning with 100x+ isn't happening that often. In my gambling career I won with 1,000x+ multiplier couple of times. That's a feeling, I can tell you that. Smiley
498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another health benefit of online gambling on: February 17, 2024, 10:26:00 AM
I think each type of gambling has its pros and cons. Depending on each person's preferences, they will choose to play outside or play online at home. Maybe crowded and cramped spaces will make us more susceptible to infectious diseases, but I think we don't need to worry too much about those things, because we can get infected anywhere, unless we just stay indoors. This is the case where you clearly know his illness, but suppose you go to a restaurant or a shopping center, there are thousands of people there and there will probably be someone near you who has the illness that you don't know, right?
Personally, I still prefer the experience of gambling with people around me rather than playing online. Being able to compete directly between people, along with discussing and chatting together while playing cards is a very interesting feeling, online gambling can hardly give us those things.

It heavily depends on the area you are visiting your favourite land-based casinos in. You say you like chatting with people around? Lucky you! It means they are good people to spend time with. Not all areas are like that.

And normally there are chat boxes in online casinos where you can chat with people too. I personally enjoy chatting in poker rooms, and I wouldn't say those the only places I chat with gamblers. Dice lovers are pretty nice to chat with too.
499  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: February 17, 2024, 09:54:35 AM
~

The BTC price has looked so bullish in the last few days, and it seems that the $50k level can be easily broken soon. So I also think that the range of $50k to $55k, as well as the range of $55k to $60k, looks tempting to place a bet even though there is still quite a lot of time before the end of the month.

Now that we have arrived in the range $50k to $55k already, the only interesting (and realistic) region that's left is "$55,001 - $60,000"

Remember when I made my post, the multiplier for the "$50,001 - $55,000" range was 15.10? Well, that's not the case anymore. I think I will get something extra due to the Time Weight Multiplier if we'll end up in that range, but it won't be anything even close to 15x.
