It's just a game. A gamble. A little bit of fun. As long as nobody drops their life-savings into it I really don't see the harm.
coinbomb is a game, this is a scam.
(less scammy than many other ponzis, though)

Given the current btc-e/gox spread, I'm currently willing to buy goxBTC for 60-65% realBTC depending on the amount.

I have completed realBTC <-> goxBTC deals with 21 members from this forum: gabbynot, rpietila, bimmerhead, micucci1127, OldHacker, jackmccauley, kwilliams, bigtimespagghetti, iguru42, Ashaman, TheOrri, scottvandinter, zyk, OgNasty, cryp2wizz, Bitsinmyead, johnbr, catcow, satriani, sonba, EPiSKiNG.

The market is very volatile so things can of course change.

PM me to discuss more.

please stop spamming! everyone already knows that you are buying. two or three announcements per day should be enough.

thx!
I am also a bit annoyed by that.
I think he's likely reliable and a good trader, but please stop spamming.
486  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Find places to earn and win FREE Bitcoin - Feedback welcome! on: February 16, 2014, 10:02:09 PM
Some of the sites reviewed to need you to spend time to earn your coins, however many listed only require a few clicks per day (less that a minutes work) to earn up to 2000 satoshis each day.
2000 satoshis ~= 0.00864€
Less than 1 cent.
For a comparison, sometimes people don't even bother to pick up a cent they accidentally dropped in a street (not implying they shouldn't).
487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Large Corporations and Bitcoin on: February 16, 2014, 09:51:11 PM
Margins on mining are low (possibly negative), you have absolutely no pricing power, brands are worthless (a hash is a hash regardless of who makes it), and your profitability is largely determined by what other people (not you) do. Does that sound like a business model that Google would be interested in?

I would find it much more likely that a Google would attempt to buy a company like BitPay then get involved in mining.
Very accurate and well-thought, I definitely agree.

Acquiring something like BitPay would make sense once they start believing Bitcoin can't be stopped: they would have a profitable company which could directly integrate in their services.

They are not free if they take your time, and if they take your time you can as well just work.
489  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: Bitcoin nella mia tabaccheria!!! on: February 16, 2014, 09:21:57 PM

Non ha senso!

Neither EFF is accepting them, which is even more worrysome.
492  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Double Your Money, #1 Investment Scheme, Payments Guaranteed (NOT A PONZI)!! on: February 16, 2014, 02:00:05 PM
all i have is 0.19BTC and I'm not willing to risk more than half!

while 0.05 makes it a little over 25% i have !

Got it now?
So you are happy handling ~25% of your whole balance in a scammy pyramid scheme?
Really?
493  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Double Your Money, #1 Investment Scheme, Payments Guaranteed (NOT A PONZI)!! on: February 16, 2014, 01:47:52 PM
One more investment of 0.1 BTC is needed so that the first investor can get paid.

I'm not that rich ... i was thinking to go to the 0.05 place where no one invested .... Smiley just wanted to make sure no one got that place
You are not so rich to afford 0.1, but 0.05 is fine?
It's just half as that.
This post makes no sense under pretty much any point of view.
494  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Petition chart services to remove Gox on: February 16, 2014, 12:52:04 PM
If you think the petition idea is stupid please let me know why. Otherwise who would support a petition sent to Bitcoin wisdom, Clark Moody. Bitcoincharts, etc. ?
Isn't bitcoincharts (partially?) owned by mtgox itself?

495  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Black Arrow is most likely a scam operation on: February 16, 2014, 12:49:11 PM
Yeah their company seems a bit sketchy but they are legit.
Just you saying "they are legit", without caring to debunk any accusation, nor providing any proof?

Seriously?
Is this the best you can do?
496  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: February 16, 2014, 12:47:06 PM
(also basicly all news outlets showed Gox charts and quoted gox prices).
This was the biggest problem, yes.

While it was known on this forum that Gox was to be avoided. The majority of people simply did not know this
Sure, and that's why I have dual feelings about that.
Still, if you just hear about something and you throw it your money without doing a bit of research, well...

Say you just came to know about bitcoins, find out about mtgox, and want to buy some?
Well, these are the results you get searching for "mtgox trustable" on google.

First three results I get tell you about problems.
497  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: February 16, 2014, 12:42:55 PM
Well, this is unfair.

Hi, I appreciate the thoughtful reply. I will have to take some time to address the issues.
Thank you, I'm relieved to read such a thing!
498  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Double Your Money, #1 Investment Scheme, Payments Guaranteed (NOT A PONZI)!! on: February 16, 2014, 12:36:15 PM
To this point, this is such a blantant scam that anyone who still falls for that fully deserves their fate.
499  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: February 16, 2014, 12:34:53 PM
I, on the other hand, also feel a bit good about that.

If you are the type that feels good for your daughter getting raped in a dark alley - after all she is stupid, lazy and the alley was dark - then by all means feel good for the life BTC savings that many lose in this debacle. Sad

Not only are they still criminals, your daughter was also raped and you are an idiot.
Well, this is unfair.

This case is not an unexpected event, everyone had many months in advance to withdraw their positions.

If they stayed at mtgox instead of using another exchange, it means they were either greedy (and greed sometimes pays you, sometimes burn you) or lazy (they couldn't bother to check the state of the company they were handling their money to).

I can't see how could this compare to such a case as you state.
If a criminal assaults you, he is directly harming you, depriving you from your liberty to go and do whatever you want (as long as it's not illegal).
In this case, instead, there is nothing forcing you to use mtgox as opposite to any other exchange: money is fungible, you could just trade it elsewhere.
Fun and liberty are not fungible, though, so you can't compare "going somewhere as opposite to somewhere else" to this.

I'm quite disappointed by this post of yours Sad

Finally, it's not an happenstance I said "I also feel a bit good about that", meaning that this is a bad and unfortunate accident, but at least those who were hit are those who didn't even try to save themselves, while people who did due diligence were able to escape.
How can you state that this is not a good thing, is beyond me.
500  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: February 16, 2014, 12:03:45 PM
This whole situation is highly unethical, I can't imagine how people trapped inside fort gox feel.

I'm disgusted with the lack of communication from Gox, they are basicly creating panic.

I don't have any coins at gox, but even i feel goxed.
I, on the other hand, also feel a bit good about that.

This is a situation were people who used their brain and did due diligence before taking decisions are not screwed up, while those blinded by their greed or by their sloth, are.

This is quite a good thing, if you think about it.
