481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ARK - Blockchains Interoperability with SmartBridge 🔹 ARK on Binance 🔹 on: April 04, 2018, 03:24:15 PM
Crypto is actually on phase of refusal and modification as right now so we noticed that most of most crypto eliminate a little % on the price however after this misunderstandings gone I think crypto will pump  soon

What kind of "misunderstanding" are you talking about? The current situation is indeed quite uncertain and we can only hope that regulators make the right decisions.

Right decision or not, even if they were to decide to ban crypto overall they'd have as much success as banning piratebay and the likes of P2P.
People will only find a "branded illegal" way to mine, exchange and trade coins if they try to ban or overtax.

That is right but it would significantly slow any progress down. If they cut off the whole e-commerce by forbidding them to accept crypto, that would be tough. They have some tools to slow things down, but I agree with you that they can't stop it totally.

No one is going to outright "ban" crypto since it can't really be done. Govt's can close exchanges but the underground will open more. The protocol can't be blocked as other traffic would be affected. They could cut off access to fiat which would only make crypto more valuable in closed circles. New ideas and uses would replace the current system until it once more broke out into the general population.  Best they can hope for is regulation and taxation and even that is sketchy and all over the map.

Verge will not visit the moon, it will go straight down the deplete, since november people stating it will increase now mar price should go on sinking

Quite laughable from someone advertising "Fishcoin" which isn't even listed yet. We really don't need another coin to collect data on the fishing industry. Having been a commercial fisherman, I can pretty much tell you it won't survive no matter who is behind it. But, to each his own and, your just a bounty hunter anyway...
483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some insight on ADA coin/Cardano on: April 03, 2018, 12:39:54 PM
Cardano is still overhyped even after the recent fall. There is no space  for it to go up in the close future - it is still on 7th position on Coinmarketcap even if it hasn't implemented any inovation yet.

99% of available coins are overhyped and will never produce any "innovation". At least Cardano has a solid plan and is moving forward. Be careful what you claim to be true without proof...
484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DNotes 2.0 - Alpha Pre-Release Available on: April 02, 2018, 04:39:13 PM
I saw in the notices on DNotes Pool that they intend to mine DNotes 2.0? I thought 2.0 was POS or, is it a POS/POW hybrid? Perhaps I'm misinterpreting the post?

It is full POS at this point. You can still mine POW blocks and participate in the swap until the soft deadline. We discussed briefly upgrading to a staking pool. However, haven't worked out the details around that.

Ah, got it, thanks!

Happy Easter everyone Smiley

Good luck with the launch of 2.0 tomorrow!!!

No luck needed with professionals like the Dnotes team on the job! But just in case, GOOD LUCK!!  Grin
487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DNotes 2.0 - Alpha Pre-Release Available on: April 01, 2018, 12:17:24 AM

Does anyone know offhand where I could find a list of every cryptocurrency and token that has launched? Even just the numbers would do.

CoinMarketCap doesn't list them all, and they also delist the abandoned ones every once in a while.

488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FedoraCoin (TiPS) - New Dev team: Fedoracoin Foundation on: March 28, 2018, 02:46:27 PM
Hello to everyone, I'm interested in mining (if it's possible) Fedoracoin, I see some of your posts but don't find any helpful information about that. Can please tell me where to look it, or just tell me what miner use, wallet, and stuff like that. Tnx in advance to everyone.

Wallet can be downloaded from the website: https://www.tipsco.in/ or, the Opening Page of this forum.

I highly suggest you join the TIPS channel on Discord:  https://discord.gg/MBanF4

Any SCRYPT miner will work, just depends on what you want to spend and how serious you are about mining. ebay is your friend. Search for "SCRYPT Miner" or "Litecoin Miner" For example, a Bitmain Antminer running at 504 MH/s will net you about 240,000 TIPS per day if you want to spend the $1500.00 to $2000.00 USD for that piece of equipment. If you want to start small and cheap, a few hundred dollars or less, (recommended), look for Zeus Miners or Gridseed machines that will cost you only a few hundred but will only bring in small amounts per day but a great way to get started. These will need a PC to run the mining software and they will connect via USB. The Antminer is a "stand alone" machine, "set it and forget it", does need a computer after initial selection of mining website. A good intermediate miner is the Innosilicon A2 Terminator Scrypt Miner which can be had for around $500 to $900.00 USD. There are two models, 88 Mh/s and 110 Mh/s. These, like the Antminer, have their own control board and do not require a PC after initial setup.

After you have a miner up and ready, go to https://minefedora.com and signup. Follow the instructions. I also suggest you join the Fedora channel on Discord for assistance.

The feedback on the project is not very good, and the team needs to work harder to come up with better ideas. I wish you success.

Actually, the feedback on the project is excellent, things are moving forward nicely and, we now have a dedicated pool that is up and running. Don't know where you got your info but, try finding a new source.

hi,
Same thing as you with 1,06 eth lost I think. Now they are tell us that they have been hacked or something like that.

That is unacceptable as they clearly stated, and I quote from their twitter account:

You can use exchange wallets!

If you are late your ETH tokens will be sent back immidiately.

P.S Anyone who will send more then 3 ETH tokens and send screenshot+tx id will get HUGE gift from our team!

Enjoy, Verge  team!

Pure scam.  (i announced that when i first saw it)

Has the collective IQ of people dropped in the last several years? Time was, nobody would even entertain getting involved in something as obviously a scam as this. It's a bit scary honestly....

Hi
where can i find a wallet for windows plz

That would be on their website, but link to file is broken there.

File links are working. I suggest you wait a little longer as the "Sapphire" wallet will be introduced around the end of the month or, early April at the latest. Lots of improvements from the current "Lynx" wallet.

hahaha what are you talking about binance fanboy

I'm talking about Jared Tate taking an aggressively anti-Binance stand on Twitter. I'm talking about the DGB devs and community leaders pushing weird conspiracy theories about Binance in the official DGB Telegram. I'm talking about community members - such as yourself - assailing anyone who questions why there is such a negative Binance slant with this coin.

It's all very fishy.

And yes, I am a fan of Binance. Most people are these days, after how professionally they've managed their exchange. On the same day Binance handled a hack better than any crypto exchange in history, you have the creator of this coin tweeting about their "shady business practices." This is terrible optics and not good business, especially when there is a DGB community initiative to raise the Binance fee completely separate from the Foundation. Just hamstringing this coin for no reason.

I think the general myopicism of people in the DGB community will ultimately see this coin flounder. It basically needs to be on Binance to succeed, that's where the action is, that's where the liquidity is, that's where the adoption and excitement are. But no, listen to some anonymous dev's seventeen Telegram messages about how I have insider info on Binance about to go under in a year or two.  Roll Eyes

No vision with this coin. No ability to see the bigger picture. No pragmatism. Personal attacks on those who disagree, even though they want to see DGB prosper just as much.

Not a bad coin, but definitely has some fishy aspects.

And now Binance is the one that looks "fishy". Perhaps Jared did have some inside information....  Shocked

Warning! Use the strong passphrases in Agama and BarterDEX.

Few days ago i did some security research with main question "How strong are passphrases used by people?" in Agama and Barterdex and seems some people were used very weak combinations as passphrase (it can be easily bruted or used by other people).
Here is a list of affected addresses:

So, how could this guy know if you have a weak password? The data he posted can be obtained from a block explorer. What's the game here?

FYI, the address on the bottom got hacked and had his funds stolen as posted on reddit.

Interesting, seeing that it's the only one with any real value.

Partnerships with large scale companies
Real world adoption
At Verge we are always striving to achieve new heights and deliver products or software implementations that are requested by the community. Do I understand correctly that you are trying to compete with bitcoin? it is very interesting to know what you are different about? bitcoin is a strong coin.
If competitive with Bitcoin, NYC will be a very praiseworthy coin but it is still theoretical. At present, only ETH is thought to be able to compete with bitcoin.

Yes, I understand that. That's why I'm interested. it seemed to me that this coin wanted to be a competitor to bitcoin. maybe I misunderstood something?

I may be speaking out of turn, I'm not part of the team but, I don't think being a competitor to Bitcoin is really the goal. NYC appears to be aiming at being a real world (brick and mortar) payment system. This may have been Bitcoin's original goal but that is shifting to being a "store of value" more than a payment system for day to day "in person" purchases.

If you are not a dev working on code AND WANT TO HELP VALUE OF NYC, get more merchant acceptance! Make some stickers and get the business to post it on their front door, download Coinomi wallet, print out QR code and laminate on their counter/register/tables/etc. I will add their business info to newyorkcoin.net to get their business additional exposure and owner receives 100,000 NYC free! Max supply or circulating coins is not the problem. Awareness is the problem! GO OUTSIDE AND TALK TO BUSINESSES IN YOUR AREA. Merchant acceptance is the key to making NYC real. Will YOU help NYC?...

Just a little note to the complainers and those who see lots of things they don't like but offer no constructive ideas: This coin was dead/all but dead just a short time ago. If it wasn't for the dedication and hard work of the current developers, it would be totally worthless. And, those who want to cut the supply to increase the price, are you offering to give up half your coins? Go to CoinMarketCap and sort the list by "Circulating Supply" you will find coins with bigger supplies that are worth more than NYC. This metric means less all the time.

Want to make your holdings more valuable? Get out there and PROMOTE NYC! This project needs users and investors, technical innovations and public involvement. Get the name out, promote the coin and you will see an increase in value. After all that, we can discuss cutting the supply...
