EAC difficulty is risen by 3 times since 10hours ago. Price has risen around 25% only. Price should have gone up at least 2 times by now. Someone is selling hard. I wonder who...  

I also downloaded the wallet and it worked straight away. But unfortunately it's empty. Dev, how about changing that? Give me some mood to follow and support this coin into 2014

I like Earthcoin, im giving it a lot of time by running #Earthcoin on IRC, helping to build a community that i hope will be more tolerant to others.

Dev holds approx. 750 000 USD of premined coins in hes hands.  He continues to ignore all posts asking what will happen to premined coins. He has not published any plans for it. There has been only one little giveaway.

Apologies, it didn't go unnoticed, threw the comment at the team, discussing, will address when ready as it's sensitive and not something we'll just ignore forever nor address in one swoop. In short it's also exposing our bare ass re what strategies we take, who is involved for future moves, sensitive marketing moves, disclosing others ID who may wish to stay under the radar, maybe exchanges or sensitive relationships being out in the open for competitors to see, amounts for certain tasks... premine programme to last potentially more than a year or more so tons of audits with sensitive classified info all made public is probably not going to happen, but again that's just first reaction and few layers of thought pulled back, will discuss more.

So the last 10 posts got maybe 15 000 in total. This is 0.005% of the premined coins. Where is the rest?
When I would create a coin, I would premine too. But I would keep it transparent.

Just throwing this out there; HC has had a steady 2-3GH/s for the last little while; using an average of 2.5GH/s yield an average profitability of about 40,000$ USD per day for the pool (I'd say this is conservative).

2% of that + 0.4% (autotrading at Cryptsy is 0.1% so HC takes 0.4% on the autotrades) = 2.4% * 40,000 = $960 per day take home for the cows. There are other costs to run the servers sure, but because the profit estimate was conservative, I'd be willing to bet this is roughly the take-home pay for the cows.

Thus, the breach cost them roughly 26 days of profit, something they should absolutely refund.

To the cows: This refund is about a month of earnings to you... you have 2 options:
1) Refund the ~40BTC to your miners, solidify trust, and make the amount back within the next month, plus more (probably)! To the MOOOOn!
2) Lose your miners, and either operate a tiny pool or close it down altogether. You'll save the $25k but lose out on any future potential earnings. Remember, you are still in the growth phase, and your potential earnings are much higher than they are now. I wouldn't be surprised if by this time next year you're making $25k per day.
3) Other creative but immoral actions: eg: be scumbags and change your identities and open up another pool under a new name and start from scratch a completely new 'brand' if you will...

If you can choose, then why not choose a not premined coin? There are 10 new coins a day, the fair ones should take preference.
Comparing with established coins or currencies is a bit pointless, newer should be better, not the same or worse, otherwise let's just stick with the $
