501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: February 21, 2016, 11:42:25 PM
Hello guys.I have some money and i start to think to buy a farm with 2x7990 and 280x so it has 110mhs it costs like 1400 bucks and i found another farm with 5x270X it will get me like 70-80 mhs i think, it cost like 900 bucks.I have a cheap electricity in my country, will it be worth it buy a farm and mine or just forget about it and just buy ethereum on this money.

You would want accumulate as much $ETH as possible before it goes Proof-of-Stake. Buying is probably the best choice since Ethereum 2.0 is a head of schedule.

Although you can mine all sorts of new cryptocoins with GPUs so they wouldn't be worthless. Who knew that mining EXP for the last 2 months could have made you $100,000 USD.

502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: February 21, 2016, 09:23:00 PM

BTW, I've started to clone the Synereo technology stack using the monadic design pattern for the web. I will then also clone ETH 2.0 once it's complete.

If anyone is interested in learning how to use the Synereo tech stack + ETH 2.0 , let me know.

Lot's of potential here:
Ethereum = 0 PoS nodes
New ideas = 0 PoS nodes

Everyone is starting at the same line.

When will the beta come out, I am looking forward to trying it.

There can't really be a beta until ETH 2.0 is released. They can have a prototype though.

The Founders don't do much and also don't allow the community to get very involved for bounty payouts. All bounty payouts have been around $50. There was one payout for $500 worth of work but that was all the community was allow to do over the entire last year. In the meantime the Founders collect their 20% premine.

I'm looking out for clones of this idea or other apps that are going to use this stack for entirely different ideas. I see huge potential in apps using this software. I don't see much potential in the corporate Synereo LTD due to a "Founders, Lords (large investors), public" type of project management structure. It's too slow and doesn't have the right vibe to attract users.

Crowdsale starts soon? I have XCR. Is it too late to trade for LISK?

THC wallet doesn't seem to have a addnode command in the console when you enter help for the command list.

I also put my addnodes for coins into the "coinname".conf file. So inside of %appdata%/roaming/Hempcoin/hempcoin.conf you put the add nodes.

Sorry if the filenames and folder names are wrong. The computer I was running a hempcoin node on crashed.

508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: MaryJanecoin LLC The Bitcoin of the Cannabis Industry and Community on: February 19, 2016, 11:08:27 PM

How many coins are available? I thought it was like 15 millionish

http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/maryjane/ says there are 51 million. Did a bunch get destroyed? Then coinmarketcap should update this to include "available supply" and "total supply".

509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SHIFT] 1st ETH fork | UPDATE v0.4.0 | GUI WALLET on: February 18, 2016, 07:45:41 AM
can't wait to see more of these... too much hype with premined ethereum, the same tech can be utilized with any derivative.

This is true. Especially with Ethereum 2.0 Proof-of-Stake that is going to have sharding. You will be able to have a highly secure and fast network that can scale. A well distributed coin like SHF has ability to build out a powerful network to run some really cool DApps.

A project like SHF has huge potential if they upgrade the Ethereum 2.0. I'm not sure why people are mad at the original SHIFT dev. He made an amazing coin... There isn't really anything more to do until Ethereum 2.0 is ready. A block explorer would be great! That's about all I can think of that needs to be done.

510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Cannacoin (CCN) | PoW->PoSV | No premine | No IPO on: February 17, 2016, 09:32:34 AM

try deleting everything except the wallet.dat (unless you arent using it then you can delete it) in the cannacoin directory inside of %appdata%

You can also try the sweet ass USB boot drive thing that I haven't tried out before. It's a linux distribution with Cannacoin pre-installed.

I support your take over though.

Moderated bitcointalk threads are garbage as well.

Last Call on requests for wallet features/fixes in imminent round of updates

There haven't been a lot of responses so far so that means most people are basically happy with the wallets as they are or what?

I'll be closing the book on requests/suggestions for this round midnight (GMT) Friday, February 19th so if you have a need/want for wallet feature addition/change you need to bring it to my attention this week.

If you do not wish to post publicly then you can message me on this forum or email here

Smiles cost you nothing and provide surprising dividends, share one with someone new every day Cheesy

Ability to have all my weed coins in one wallet! lol jk

Wallet is good. What we need is D9 to come back, make more youtube videos, show off his CANNdy supply from this last years harvests, show sales of CANNdy at dispensaries, run another special event to gain new users, donate CBD oil to children in need, donate high THC oil to patients in need.

What will the new developers do once the 91k donations are spent and no price rise? Nothing, but they will for sure know how the original SHF dev felt.

515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SHIFT] 1st ETH fork | UPDATE v0.4.0 | GUI WALLET on: February 17, 2016, 02:17:49 AM
Ugh...the constant drama at Bitcointalk is the reason why I keep leaving this place. I've comeback to say that founder of shift is not a scammer, he tried his best and all it came down to was the low value of shift and the fact that the dev was not wealthy enough to support all of the burden of this coin from his own funds. The block explorer took a substantial portion of the premine, in terms of the monthly payment and the total cockup with altsheets.

In terms of the website, I will not be releasing anything without approval from the founder as thats who paid me. I wouldn't say the website is 95% done and if I do get approval to realase it, I will probably fix it. I never finished it as I already cut my rates by more than half to help the dev out (FYI, he did not ask me to do this) and then his medical situation made it seem unlikely that the coin will make a comeback soon.

I'm also pretty much out of all crypto, except for Bitcoin and two other major holdings.

Nice to hear from you again buddy, this guy is among the most trustful people on bitcointalk. Without a doubt.

This is true.

I bet if the new developers don't see a price rise within the first 4 months they will abandon the project as well.

517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][THC][1.7] The Hempcoin (THC) ✿ UPGRADED POW/POS ✿ Spread the Seeds ✿ EPIC on: February 17, 2016, 01:00:17 AM
I think Hempcoin should stay away from illegal markets. There are at least 26 licenced cannabis production licenced companies in Canada  that would likely advertise and trade their products including legally made Rick Simpson oil on a well run exchange. There could be many markets for legal herbs and hemp crafts and products that could established in a exchange using the blockchain format.

I agree. Legal stuff is way better. Things like Hemp protein power, hemp oil and hemp cereal might sell well. A small community of 1000 shoppers could bring in a few BTC of volume each day. From there the community could grow fast.

Someone in the community has connections to a popular clothing line related to THC in the UK. They're interested in being part of this if we can every get a good user base going on.

I used to buy bitcoin using Virwox. I now use We Sell Crypto. Hempcoin could offer THC coins directly in exchange for using a simple platform like We Sell Crypto or get listed as a coin they sell first.
https://wesellcrypto.com/

I've wanted to sell THC through paypal for a long time. It would make it so easy to get them.

It would be cool if I could sell a hardware wallet that come with a coupon to get a bunch of free coins loaded onto the hardware wallet that the user buys. It doesn't have to be a super fancy hardware wallet. Just something where a user can generate private/public key pairs. Then it can come with the coupon to get your free hempcoins.

Actually I've contact suppliers in China and I can get really old Android phones for $20. Install a program on that. It's a hardware wallet. Then sell them for like $200 but they come with a coupon for free hempcoins... like $150 worth of them for free.

519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SKY] Skycoin Launch Announcement on: February 16, 2016, 08:38:03 PM

I guess it will take a long time to get on an exchange because this is unique technology. The exchange would have to build new custom code.

I think it would be a lot easier to get stores, producers and such to use THC/HEMP if we had a popular app with a million users.
