To reboot you should be able to just issue the command.
Code:
reboot
If for some reason that doesn't work you can try a force reboot.
Code:
echo b > /proc/sysrq-trigger
To restart cgminer you can issue the command.
Code:
/etc/init.d/cgminer.sh restart

@abracadabra,

Thanks!  Sorry for the wait.  Wish we could have gotten those to you a bit sooner.  Darn weekend?  Why do we have a weekend?!?!?   Huh Huh Huh  7 days work week baby! - YAY!!!!    may be not...   Cry

Also, please check the fan speed and physically looking at the fan as well.  Some fans seem to dry up the grease and spin slower. (Not many but a few, it seem to be happening)
505  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 Discussion and Support Thread on: February 11, 2015, 01:39:56 AM
yes 61...  a bit too high but every customer have different deployment method.  Looking at the running up time, at least the high end is stable or managed some how, so it's not crushing the unit.

This PSU should work!!

Anyway to run one of these S3+ with this power supply.

509  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Quiet, preferably wireless miners on: February 10, 2015, 12:57:49 AM
May be this U3 or U3 v2.  it is quiet but hash power is not strong tho.  These are to have fun, or go for the luck.  Point it to the solo mining and see if you can hit the block!

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00SL2UVIK

Quiet Miner is hard to come by now days with the hashing power in TH level.  Bitmain products and even other manufactures, it is noisy.

what 64ghs unit are you speaking of?
510  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Quiet, preferably wireless miners on: February 10, 2015, 12:25:13 AM
1 option is to use syscooling designed S5 water cool module with a higher quality pump from Ebay...

then you could have over 2TH (2.3 - 2.7TH out of 1 unit), however the PSU is not included.

You can use the server grade PSU to lower the expense if you are in the environment with no flammable items around the mining operation.  Other wise, high end regular ATX computer PSU to power them up!

Just wondering which ASIC bitcoin miner would work with the following parameters:

Quiet (in the same room as me)
Preferably wireless, but can be ethernet.
The more power efficiency the better
If it comes with it's own PSU or it is built in, that would be great too!

I currently have a s3 that I got for $200 Canadian with a Power supply which seems like a steal, but would love to get more hardware.

Thanks!

@sloopy,

If you could, please send your shipping info and Order ID and a telephone number via that ticket.  If you have already done so, please one more time with "sloopy" in it

If you have a spare PSU to power the unit, please DO so, as that will not void the warranty.

Thanks

Hi Bick!

Great to hear your S2 still going strong.

for customers who purchased Antminer Products from Minersource.net or Miner Hosting LLC, and needing the warranty service, or technical assistance, please contact +1-844-248-6246 Option 2 or PM us here and we will assist you as much as we can.

If you are in USA or Canada, you can just dial 844-248-6246, if you are outside USA, you can dial it with country code (1)-844-248-6246

IF you are asking for the refund on the credit card purchase, you have to talk to your bank or credit card companies.  We are not able to refund you for the purchase you made from else where.

The 2 S2s we bought back in May of 2014 still running. No issues other than having to replace the PSU's that originally came with the units and to much bouncing and cards popped out during shipping. Rock solid units still going today. Mining Freicoin non-stop most of that time.

So I have 3 S3 units. I bought one and it hashed for a week and the control card died. Now it sems the other 2 have also died. Yes. I have done all the usual. Updated, reset, etc. Got about a month out of each unit.

Unfortunately I bought these from minersource who now appears to be gone as their website is gone. So I can't get the original shipping info or purchase order info for warranty. Such as it is.

I would have atleast expected your products to be more durable than a month in hashing time. After some research it apears to have become a common problem with your gear that the control boards fail prematurely by a bunch. Sadly I am being told that unless under warranty the parts to fix are not available. SO after not quite a month out o each miner I am dead in the water and burnt it seems. Sad just plan sad.

Well guess I will try the spondoolies out to see if they are any better. First one is going to be an sp20 unit.

By the way. the BtcGarden unit I own has literally ran circles around the s3 units as far as stability and realiability goes. Wish they would come back.

Well hope this bit of info can help save others from the pain of wasting money on low grade gear.
