https://archive.is/d8OIC text of The Bitcoin Standard by Saifedean Ammous @saifedean

This book is a very good read (scan is minus charts and links.) First half is devoted to the history of money and some economic theory, e.g. explains why silver will never be a good investment, last half explains how bitcoin works, the controversies and is current up to post BCH fork. The author is bullish long term on bitcoin and this is the best book I have ever read on monetary theory and bitcoin that is written for beginners. Do the author a solid and buy a copy or download to your Kindle.

@Hhampuz please consider adding a countdown timer to OP makes bidding easier coming down to the wire in a close auction.

You must be new here

Not at all. Remember this? Back to trading I am shorting when I see a proper set up.

Great stats to have Bobby thank you for taking the time! These production numbers were sorely needed and very much appreciated.

Swear to God (yes I am a Christian) this is the Wall Observer thread and needs more moderation. If you want to talk about Nazis, holocaust speculation, silver or gold bugs, people of different faiths like Jews and Muslims or tin foil hat controversies there are other forums that will welcome you. I don't post much here anymore because 1) I am busy day trading and 2) over about half the posts here seem to have nothing to do with Bitcoin. It is becoming a bit of a joke and a cesspool frankly. Just a thought.
511  Economy / Collectibles / Re: McAfee Redemption Unit Thread on: June 01, 2018, 03:44:05 AM
I should have created a moderated thread my mistake, @OWZ1337 this thread was created for discussion of McAfee Redemption Unit collectibles not for you to discuss your BitcoinInstant coin. This is after all the Collectibles board not for altcoin promotion. You have your own thread for that. Locking this thread sorry friends will create another one (moderated next time) when McAfee brings the MRU to auction if it happens.

Well that noise was not helpful.

Hi. This physical coin/Bits bar has a balance of 0.1 BTC?

@Adriano2010 most Kialaras are unfunded. While it is possible to fund the bar, you would have to destroy it to get to the private key. Most collectors do not fund Kialaras as it generally hurts the resale value ... except for some of the Signature Series which come with tools to disassemble. Oddly the Kialaras which can be taken apart don't appreciate in value much. If LC had funded the bar on auction here it would have been made clear in the OP.

Only a coke head would literally sell himself on the blockchain... How fun! Cheesy

To be precise his drug of choice was MDPV.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methylenedioxypyrovalerone

Quote
High doses have been observed to cause intense, prolonged panic attacks in stimulant-intolerant users,[10] and there are anecdotal reports of psychosis from sleep withdrawal and addiction at higher doses or more frequent dosing intervals.[10] It has also been repeatedly noted for inducing irresistible cravings to re-administer.

Well that makes sense...

Quote
Reported modalities of intake include oral consumption, insufflation, smoking, rectal and intravenous use. It is supposedly active at 3–5 mg, with typical doses ranging between 5–20 mg.

Good lord I hope he just smoke it...  Undecided

Sorry to be explicit but from the link I posted:

Quote
He recommended that the most effective way to take a dose is via rectal insertion, a procedure known as "plugging," writing: "Measure your dose, apply a small amount of saliva to just the tip of your middle finger, press it against the dose, insert. Doesn't really hurt as much as it sounds. We're in an arena (drugs/libido) that I navigate as well as anyone on the planet here. If you take my advice about this (may sound gross to some of you perhaps), you will be well rewarded."

Gotta get a few of those MRUs if he actually does bring them to market just for the history of McAfee.

520  Economy / Collectibles / McAfee Redemption Unit Thread on: May 29, 2018, 08:44:48 PM
The always entertaining John McAfee announced he will be releasing his own crypto-backed fiat currency on June 24 called McAfee Redemption Units.

More details at this article. Currently, the face value of each MRU unit is $9.95. Considering notoriety of Mr. McAfee this could be an interesting collectible; waiting for details on availability, final pricing and how to order. Apparently the notes will be sold only on auction sites TBD. Don't shoot the messenger please:)
