Maybe it's because the wallet is currently based on Qt Webkit, which is a web browser framework. Version 1.4 will bring a new GUI based on Qt Widgets that should be more lightweight, more responsive and have less bugs.

I think you cannot import the Windows wallet.dat on Mac currently, because Mac has an older version of BerkeleyDB. You need a Windows PC, or import your clear-text private key in case you have made a backup of it.

You could try running a virtual machine inside Virtualbox, install Windows and then import your wallet. Then you can export your private keys, or just send the funds to your new Mac wallet.

Lol no you completely misunderstood him. The Espers community is here. There are 2-3 people who call themselves the "Espers community" and are now trying to swap ESP to a PIVX clone. That doesn't make much sense, but it's really not our problem over here. Espers is continuing as planned, including Gawlea (-ESPERS-) I hope.

Why are you not doing a plain ICO for Bitcoin, instead of Espers? Do you think ESP will be more valuable?  

A "swap" is usually meant to swap the entire chain, not to swap coins (swapping money X for Y is called buying something). As Espers is still being actively developed, you won't deprecate it through this offer, and thus it's not exchanging one thing with the other, but simply adding a second coin.

That being said, Wispr sounds like a nice name for a private messaging system. Would you tell us more about your team?

Just copy it over there so that the wallet makes use of it. The location of the wallet binary (the zip that you download) does not matter, just place it where you like.

According to the block explorer (http://espv2.miningalts.com/richlist), the top 25 wallets hold 46% of the coins. This is not unusual for a 2 Mio market cap coin I would say, and it's certainly not all owned by the developers, but simply big investors (like me - and I'm not part of the team).

Note that this was an airdrop coin, and market cap was much lower once, like 80k USD. Many investors who invested a few thousand bucks back then might still hold their coins today, but they will probably sell when they feel like it's time to get their money out. Business as usual, I've seen this with many coins.

Yes, the Webkit based wallet inherited from ShadowCash still has problems updating the interface sometimes. JBG is currently working on migrating the wallet to native Qt widgets for version 1.4 to be released towards the end of this month.

Because dev was not seen for months, and now shows up occasionally again. He had problems in RL, and now it seems (to me) like the project is slowly becoming more active again. Other people still think that he will not continue working on it this time either. Who is right, time will tell. 

As you know, your chance to get a reward does not depend on the number of your connections, but on the amount of coins you have and the total balance on the network (i.e. the people you compete with for getting the next block reward). And, just as in every other competition, you can have a bad streak.

Not correct... it only shows you how many people you are connected to. You can't be connected to everyone in the network, you know...    And Windows is even restricted to 16 connections in total IIRC.

Of course, only if our Cryptocoder manages to build a company structure, and not just codes it all on his own. Which he said is the plan, so there you go!   It's just a matter of time.

Unfortunately I don't have access to the Slack any more, so I don't know what's going on either. But Cryptocoderz has been more active in this thread recently (at least more than all the months before), and he has also been seen in Discord. And he seems to be very dedicated about continuing this project. So to me, that's a good sign.

I have bought more ESP at 4 sat, 2 sat, and will continue buying at 1 sat while I still have a good feeling about it.

I'm a long-term investor. I don't care when things will change, what matters to me is that there is dedication about doing so, so that the situation will improve eventually.
