501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How discipline are you in managing your bankroll? on: November 15, 2023, 03:51:07 PM
Could you please share some of your honest experiences here and how you became a disciplined gambler, particularly in managing your bankroll? What factors do you consider to be satisfied and to stick with the game plan all the time?

I can relate to what you experienced especially the part when you are longing for a more action pack gambling experience just because you are not winning decent amount of money. The problem on this is your total bankroll is not suitable to the type of gambling experience you are looking for.

It’s like you want a 50$ profit on single bet while your bankroll is just a 100$ or less. The best way to deal with this is try to learn on adjusting your profit expectations based on your bankroll so that you will not overextend your bets out of your bankroll range. I control this problem by not playing when I really urge on gambling and play while I’m cool and not thinking of winning too much.

So ...Clippers 6 defeats in a row ? Sad didn't Harden said out loud that "he is the system?" ...well ? where is this system he is talking about ? because so far I can't see anything.

He is the fuckin problem! Yes he contribute sometimes on points but after that he is useless on defense. Offense will not gonna win the game alone so his fuckin system is a literal disaster.

Clippers is good team before because they have good balance offense and defense while inserting Harden crumble their defense while their offense is just the same since only one person can shoot the ball one at a time so Kawhi or PG can do what he is doing with or without him while their defense becomes minus 1 with Harden.
503  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: J.P. Morgan Thinks the Big Crypto Rally Is Overdone on: November 15, 2023, 01:10:51 PM
How can they be so bad at their profession? I don't have a finance degree and I was able to call the $26k to $40k to $30k like two months before it all happened.

What do you all think about this?

Their analyst is doing what’s their company wants. They are thinking using their balls instead of their brain when it comes to Bitcoin. Their company probably missed out the dip or just recently take profit that’s why they resort to this kind of shitty prediction just to fuel FUD in times of correction.

I bet that they are spouting now about Bitcoin target price is 1M if they are holding Bitcoin right now.

Quoting what my girl Taylor Swift said:
Quote
And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate
Baby, I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake
I shake it off, I shake it off (ooh-ooh-ooh)

Let’s just shake them off! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
504  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bullrun Strategy Discussion on: November 14, 2023, 04:26:06 PM

If everyone agrees, in the next few days I will print it on T-shirts.

This is so good taufik. Maybe you can add small print of bitcointalk.org I guess? I’m interested to purchase one if you will produce one of this mate!

506  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: FALLING FALLING! on: November 12, 2023, 06:38:49 PM
When the EMA 200 was broken and the trend changed, I also don't dare say that now we are still in a bearish phase. Apart from discussing support and resistance with TA, Bitcoin's fundamentals have also improved recently, Fomo halving and ETFs have made investors and retail feel confident that BTC will continue to rise. So regarding the OP who stated the double top has been refuted because Bitcoin experienced a rebound to $38K a few days ago. This is very dangerous if we go against the flow, especially with Bitcoin's fundamentals which have been good recently.
You should be careful about that bro, because as you say price is currently drive by good fundamentals, especially by the ETF pending approval by the SEC. But how the market will react once it will happen? Seasoned traders buy the rumors and sell the news, so we are likely to undergo a dip when the first Bitcoin spot ETF will get accepted even if it's before the halving. So I don't think it's time to buy more BTC currently.

DCA is still good just for an assurance to accumulate more right before bitcoin reach above 40K level. You’re right that this current bullish trend might collapse anytime but I believe the price will still recover at some point since there’s halving next year which is one of bearer of positivity in Bitcoin.

You can still benefit on buying now if you will just hold still no matter what will be the next price movement of Bitcoin in the following days. I believe that SEC will just delay the announcement as much as possible instead of declining or approving any ETF since they already lose one case recently about declining an ETF approval.
507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not get scammed by this, specially newcomers. on: November 12, 2023, 06:27:06 PM
There’s tons of this scammer on telegram that is far worst than that. Telegram scammer impersonate an admin of the project which the user ask for help when he post on project telegram group. An ignorance user will surely become easily scam if they didn’t check the username of the impersonator carefully since they use tricky username just to imitate the legit admin.

Same with facebook and other social that scammer is being creative on how to trick poor newbie to get their seed phrase and private key.
508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you use bitcoin when gambling? on: November 12, 2023, 05:11:26 PM
Seeing how bitcoin's fees have gone up a lot, I would assume that with the plethora of options for cheaper transactions, people must be using other options much more. Some might even prefer to use conventional means such a debit or credit cards.

Whatever your preference is, feel free to express why that is and also answer the poll (optionally). It's for research purposes only. Cheesy

This is only applicable for those user who stored their Bitcoin on exchange or not a Bitcoin holder naturally but as a Bitcoin holder, I still use Bitcoin to gamble since I need to still hold it while gambling so that I will not missed out the pump. A 2$-3$ fee can be easily recovered through a single bet and it’s really inconvenient to send my token from non custodial wallet to exchange just convert it on token that has cheaper fee.

I believe many user still use Bitcoin to gamble if they are a natural Bitcoin holder that is gambling regularly since the high fee is not that high to the point that it almost cover most of the balance on the transaction.
509  Local / Pilipinas / Bullrun Strategy Discussion on: November 12, 2023, 04:38:04 PM

510  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you believe Technical Analysis? on: November 12, 2023, 04:26:43 PM
Technical analysis is helpful, although its not 100% accurate to give us profit, but it can give us an idea of the prediction that we can see in the actual chart graph of trading. And of course when we do this there is still a lot to consider.

You know that in this situation we will still use different indicators to find out what we are looking for in actual trading as a trader. So it's really important that we know this in reality if you want to learn to trade and make money from it.
technical analysis is good for short term trading where we are looking at really short time frame here, trying to make profit off the margin at market movement, but we don't really use it for long term honestly.
I think many people are thinking the same way as me, technical analysis for long term prediction is mostly inaccurate, so many things could happen, one major factor that make the prediction fails is the rumour and news along the way that will unexpectedly make prediction invalid.

at the end of the day, the market is purely depend on supply and demand, don't get too fixated into something, because it might not be the answer here.
always try to make judgement towards coins from other perspective.

Technical analysis is both good on long term and short term trade since you can use the time frame to adjust the goal of your analysis. Longer time frame means you are aiming for long term price result and vice versa.

I believe you are pertaining on fundamental analysis which focuses on news about the project that gives impact to the price in short term. Technical analysis has various usability and one of them is to determine the price behavior in long run through the use of old price data.
511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A tip for staying resposible while gambling. on: November 11, 2023, 10:06:30 AM
So I have a tip for them you can stick a real paper money note in front of your monitor which will remind you that money is hard to earn and play responsibly or don't play with big amounts.
the note will remind every time that how you earned that money, and if you are controlled and this tip is not very important for you them you can ignore it, but i found this helpful.

I believe it will be helpful to sticky the picture of the deity of your country believe instead of the fiat if your goal is just to remind something that will make user control gambling when he is on the tough time.

Honestly, A picture of my mother will remind me how valuable money is instead of a paper bills since I’m already playing using real money which means I will not care anymore what’s the real value of money unless something that can trigger me on remembering who teach me that logic.  Cheesy
512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Would you Like Your Pension Paid in Bitcoin? on: November 11, 2023, 09:48:35 AM
No bro, what I'd like to happen is the other way around, to have my pension be paid in bitcoins and be able to convert that bitcoin pension fund into fiat when I claim it at my local social security branch and given my belief in bitcoin that it's going to eventually cross the million dollar price point somewhere along my lifetime, I think that it's a win-win situation for me to do that but on the flip side though, some financial advisor would probably say to me that it's not a good way to save up for your pension and I do agree, even if you have a solid belief that bitcoin will never crash or be gone in your lifetime, you can never be wrong when you're playing it safe, always diversify.
Bitcoin is a good thing and investing in it is a great idea but I want to save Bitcoin and invest in Bitcoin in my youth but I don't want to tie up my pension money with Bitcoin. Because it will be my last age. When one crosses the pension age he is almost ready to die and the price of Bitcoin fluctuates constantly and it is not possible to hold Bitcoin for a long time.  So I don't support paying pensions in Bitcoin. But being able to get paid in Bitcoin would be great and I would love to have it

I believe there’s same topic like this before and you are not wrong on your preference over Bitcoin when use to pension. But some people is not relying that much on pension when they are old since they have other savings that’s why they can afford to take risk on Bitcoin since they are already on the last stage of life.

But this is a case to case basis depending on the understanding of someone on Bitcoin since it’s useless to use Bitcoin to pension in general if the majority doesn’t know how to use it and just learning Bitcoin for the sake of claiming pension. Maybe an optional is the best approach on implementing this.
513  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BlockDance B.V., BC.Game and its Fraudulent “Operator Verifier” on: November 11, 2023, 08:56:36 AM

Update on my case:
Casino Guru team has produced their final ruling:
“ Dear earlypaco
After reviewing all the evidence received from both parties and discussing the case multiple times internally, we have concluded that your winnings should be honored in this case, minus the amount already awarded. We have therefore asked the casino to reconsider its decision regarding this matter, and currently await their reply.”

BC. Game hasn’t responded yet.

link to the whole story:
https://casino.guru/bc-game-casino-player-s-withdrawal-blocked-due-to

The timing of your case to other user @Jannn with same result on casino guru is kinda questionable that make me think you are just account but I’m not saying that your case is not that relevant. I think it’s better to make the OP simple and updated about the result so that user can easily use this thread as referral on evaluating BC.game trust score.

Bc.game is currently have 2 positive trust score from trusted DT this is why the process on verifying each case related to them is handled very careful because they are trusted here before. Let’s wait for expert look on your case carefully.

I was expecting something huge at the Dillon Danis fight too to be fair, they were actually sponsoring him, and he lost, so there could have been something major there, regarding his lost. They did boosted the odds on him winning, but we all knew that he would lose, dude had 9 punches all fight long, he wasn't even there to win, he was there to have fun, at some point he was taking takedowns on a boxing game, that's really weird, if only duelbits had some losing bets rakebacks too.
I have no Idea that there is a Fighter that just goes in the ring/octagon just to have fun , what I do believe that every sportsman wanted to win and this is the true behind all fights.
though some are there with less potential in winning yet they are trying to beat their opponents.

I’m not a believer too that someone will go in the ring and risk their body to pain just to have fun while he can do a lot of fun using his money on different activities such as drinking. This fighter are sacrificing their body to gain money quickly for brawling.

On Dillon case, I believe he just troll in the end since he knew that he can’t win while he already achieved his goal to entertain viewers and at the same time earn profit on this exhibition match. He has nothing to lose here while the game is already lose for him that time.
515  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Refer to my previous topic: "Investing plan" on: November 11, 2023, 03:19:23 AM
I believe future is for BTC and my investments will mostly on it. I wanna use Electrum as my main btc assets storing. As i heard exchanges is not safe for storing purposes.

Also my plan is to invest after that litle by litle for example from my income to invest 100-200$ in month.

Since you are doing already a regular investment every month for long term, I suggest that you should purchase an open source code hardware wallet to hold your Bitcoin safely since it just cost you as low as hundred bucks compared to the total amount you are saving for long term.

Electrum is safe but there’s a chance that you might get hack unknowingly when you accidentally install an app with malware. Hardware wallet can protect on this kind of potential risk since your coins is safe offline.
516  Economy / Economics / Re: Real estate vs cryptocurrencies vs business on: November 10, 2023, 03:12:41 PM
Yes Crypto, Business, Real Estate every investment is fine and profitable but each investment require different amount of fund and different investment strategy. So different people invest in different things based on their financial status and plans. But if one invests in these 3 things then it will be better because one will cover the loss of the other.  It is always better to invest in multiple things rather than just one investment

Yeah, This is the real diversification of assets compare to holding different crypto currencies that behaves the same during bullish and bearish market. If I have a huge fund for investment then I will choose the same way of diversification since this 3 market is independent to each since they have different target consumer.

Funds is really the biggest concern here especially the real estate industry since it requires tons of money just to acquire properties to flip or rent just to get a steady income.
517  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Know how to use Fundamental and Technical Analysis on: November 10, 2023, 03:08:24 PM
Fundamental tells you what to do, while Technical tells you when to do it

Not exactly this but you have some merit on your opinion. Fundamental Analysis is use for long term holdings since you will choose an asset to invest if it has a good fundamentals so that you can guarantee success in the future while Technical Analysis can give you a guide on when to enter and exit through indicator and chart patterns.

I said you have a merit since you are right on your point but lacking some details, Fundamental Analysis is the foundation of your investment while Technical Analysis gives you the guide for your investment.
518  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the right age for financial stability? on: November 10, 2023, 09:53:37 AM

It's always wise and profitable to start saving and investing at a young age, like 18 years old.

I believe it depends on what is the legal age on each country because that’s the only time you can get a real job to become financial independent on your own. It’s useless to chase this financial stability if you are using part of your parents money to invest since you have no steady income.

I become financial stable right after I graduated in college and got my first job. Since then, I involved in different kind of investment using my work salary and at same time climb to the ranking in our work to gain more salary that makes me financially stable. My investment right now is for my early retirement goal so that I leave my job in young age.
519  Economy / Services / Re: Old trader offering here hedgefund service on: November 10, 2023, 09:49:30 AM
Why people will trust money to you(newbie) if there’s a legit fund manager out there does this kind of work legally. I’m not trying to let you down but your offer needs a solid reputation by you to gain trust by user here. You have nothing to lose with your newbie account once you already got the funds of your investors.

If you are really serious about then start showing your real credentials which I doubt you have since you will need to expose your identity just to prove how legit this kind of service is. Why not use leverage if your only issue just funds since exchange allows you use up to x100 leverage to increase your capital siginificantly.
520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you use multiple platforms for betting? on: November 10, 2023, 05:44:19 AM
There's a particular bookmarker I use mostly in placing my bet via crypto, however I do not restrict myself to it alone. Though, It's my favourite gambling platform because it has good odds and markets but occasionally I explore other betting platforms to compare and contrast. By so doing, I've come to realize that there are certain market or sports that a particular bookmarker might be good at but not good at the other. For instance, I don't play live bet or inplays in my favorite bookmarker.

That is something I do as well and it is very natural, this is just like comparing prices at different stores, if you see the same product being sold for a cheaper price then you buy from that store as you are getting the same quality for a slightly better price, and the same can be done with odds, as different casinos may have different odd providers and they may have different needs when it comes to balancing their books, and this can allow you to get better odds from time to time.

This is true if you didn’t consider the loyalty rewards on each casino you are playing. The difference on odds will just give minimal boost on the result of your bet when you are just betting an average amount while loyalty rewards can give you a decent return in the long run especially if you accumulate already huge wager that will boost your reward if just focus on one casino.

There’s a pros and cons on casinos but it’s important to stick on what’s give you the security over chasing some minor odds boost that might pit your bankroll at risk.
