1461  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BlockFi files for bankruptcy protection. on: November 29, 2022, 04:05:46 PM
Simply because everyone knows about this since there connection to FTX is already exposed since they one of the FTX collapse. Crypto market is currently experiencing a relief due to the recent positive news brought by Elon Musk and his twitter. Feds is also slowing down now on there increase rate hike gives a positive effect to the crypto community. BlockFi is just filing which means that they are not yet out of business. There’s still a chance that this will be a long game like Celsius that still operating until now despite they already freezed account of all there users money in there DeFi.

I think we might see the bad effect of this news once other project that exposed to FTX starts to pile up for bankruptcy application. I think BlockFi is just the tip of the Iceberg knowing how wide the network connection of FTX to crypto space. They lose multi billion dollars that only means many people and companies is affected due to the intensity of loss.
1462  Other / Meta / Re: Should the difference in size between normal and quoted text be smaller? on: November 29, 2022, 12:41:29 PM
It is good if reduce by 1px only to identify it as a quoted reply or make an Italicized font to see immediately but the people here are already used to the default quote so for sure most of them preferred this already, if this might be implemented its ideal if there's a feature of old and new so people would like to stick which they would like to prefer with.

I think the slight difference of the background color of quoted post to the actual reply is sufficient enough to notice that context is a quote. The main issue here is the readability of the quoted statement.

The improvement is good because it’s just a minor tweak on the font size and theymos can definitely change it quickly like the the additional (OP) tag for thread starter. This suggestion will be good if the improvement will have an option to adjust the size base on user preference because I don’t need to increase the text of the quote word if I’m the author of it since I know what I wrote.
1463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin isn't a religion. on: November 29, 2022, 10:38:11 AM
Probably not a completely correct comparison! But what kind of connection can there be?? Religion and digital currency?? It seems to me that there is very little connection here! It's just very hard to find any direct connection. Personally, I don't trace any connection here! Although I do not exclude the possibility that there may be worship in something here. It is difficult to understand what the author of this topic meant by this concept!

I will explain below to enlighten you on what’s the connection of the original topic about Bitcoin and Religion that OP describing. There some group of people like Bitcoin maxi believes that Bitcoin is all we need and will gonna survive. They put there faith for Bitcoin future price as if they are worshipping  it. The definition of religion is just simply having faith and worship on to something that will give you what are wishing for in your life.

Don’t view the topic as literal religion like worshipping to a supreme deity since religion has a wide scope and varies depends on the people perspective. Some people worship rock, nature, animals, money and something they can’t see. I think this the whole parameters people thinks when they are comparing Bitcoin as religion and not the typical spiritual type.

The crazy price gain makes user become a fanatic on Bitcoin investment because your life can be change if got lucky on your Bitcoin investment like what happened to all those users who invested on Bitcoin on its early stage.

Dota2 News…

New Roster Update for Boom Esports after expiration of contract for Jackky, Tims & Skem. They welcome Natsumi, Xepher and Xnova to replace the outgoing player while Yopaj, FBZ and Mushi will maintain there old position. I really like the new composition because Xnova is far better pos 5 compared to Skem while Natsumi is consistent position 1 player on Neon and Polaris that gives headache on the previous version of Boom during the SEA tournaments matchup.

I think the new Boom will continue to dominate SEA despite the upcoming BlackList team that full of all star PH player. Typically this kind of OP team results too poor performance because they can’t work together properly because they are good on there own and with previous team mates.

Summary of the updated Boom Esports Roster:

Natsumi - Position 1
Yopaj - Position 2
FBZ - Position 3
Xepher - Position 4
Xnova - Position 5
1465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Question on how to buy bitcoin & on dex exchanges on: November 26, 2022, 03:17:46 PM
I believe It's time for a necessary transition from altcoin to Bitcoin. I've been trading and investing mostly on altcoins (Sol, Dot, Dodge, Shiba, etc) with little of BTC. But of the recent happenings on cryptocurrency which exposes the weaknesses of these lower currencies. I seek the best strategy to accumulate Bitcoin in my wallet as a long term investment, is it best to,
*Buy all  at once, as BTC is arguably at its lowest rate.
*Buy at intervals because of any possible variable.
You already lose a lot and now you will shift to Bitcoin all your altcoin while the current price is at the bottom? I’m a pro Bitcoin but I’m just questioning your trading logic because if I’m with your situation, I will just hold that altcoins since the only way to recover your loss is for your altcoin to grow again while investing on Bitcoin doesn’t guarantee that it will grow on a percentage equals to the percentage loss of your Altcoins due to the difference of volatility.

I would invest separately on Bitcoin and leave the lose altcoins in there for a long hold if I’m on your shoe but it’s your money so what you want.

However, in my last post I expressed my disappointment with centralized exchanges, my unwillingness to continue using them and thankfully I got suggestions mainly endorsing Bisq, of which I've taken time to look into Bisq and other decentralized exchanges and observable is the absence of a support team unlike their centralized counterpart. That be the case, what are:
1. The recurring mistakes that could lead to loss of funds?
2. How can these mistakes be avoided. Since it seems like the only remedy.

Just don’t leave your funds on the exchange is the best practice to avoid those risk. Using it temporarily for buying or selling will not gonna exposed you on great danger because they are running for a long time. Even on FTX, all the user received a warning for what’s coming on the exchange when CZ announced there decision about there FTT liquidation, FTX user is just stubborn to let there asset stay despite the brewing shitty aura few miles away.
1466  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Rainbow Indicator drop on all time low on: November 26, 2022, 02:35:35 PM
Add another dark blue to the bottom of the chart, problem solved.

The thing is, these charts never make any sense. Just because bitcoin is at the bottom of the chart don't mean it is cheap. It is all relative. Bitcoin never experienced a recession during its lifespan and the world will go through a big one in 2023. When everybody stops spending money, we may take a look back and say that $16k/btc was "expensive".

You can only add a set of additional layer if the price will go on that channel in different time span. Base on the structure of this pattern, we might see another color below like what you said in case Bitcoin price recover on the current bear market. The price going out of the rainbow channel only tells us that the channel is already broken and a possible new channel will be form which we don’t have any idea anymore.

Yes the chart itself shouldn’t be use to predict the Bitcoin future price. It’s only purpose is to graph the previous price while the author incorporate a fancy figure to make it attractive.

Inflation is maybe the key factor that will make this rainbow pattern finally construct the downward curve of this rainbow and stop the euphoria of never ending upward movement. This is good in long term because it’s a shake down to remove all the weak hand.

1467  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it possible to get bitcoins for free? on: November 26, 2022, 02:25:58 PM
Okay so earlier I came across a site that claimed that it's possible to get bitcoins for free by just; playing offline and online games, watching ads and videos, participating in airdrops and so on. They also recommended apps that give out bitcoin for free  like coinbase. Bitcoin, ranked as one of the most expensive cypto currencies can be earned for free by just watching ads? Nah I just find it hard to believe cause I've seen a lot of scam related schemes that claim to give out bitcoin for free. I don't know, I might be wrong cause I'm still a newbie that's why I brought this here, to see if I can get some clarification on the matter. Thank you.

Definitely a waste of time. Much better if you focus your time on finding a job to get stable income that you can use to purchase Bitcoin rather doing time consuming things in exchange for a penny worth reward. Newbie should stop giving away there time and effort to owner of this kind of apps that surely just using traffic for there own profit and just share small portion to worker like you that do most of the job.

If you are just using free time, why not focus on freelance job that will reward Bitcoin. There’s a lot of freelance job vacancies available on LinkedIn from crypto company that in needs of additional work force for there project. Find a decent job and stop looking for free stuff. Free stuff like faucet, airdrop and etc is not worthy anymore because crypto market is already grow.

It only works before because a penny back then is now more than a dollar now due to the price growth. A price growth like that is very hard to happened on current situation.
1468  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should I invest in cryptocurrency or start my business? on: November 26, 2022, 11:32:29 AM
I have been working as a freelancer for years, and I have saved some reasonable sum of money. now knowing the full potential that cryptocurrencies have, I am now confused on what to do if is to invest in cryptocurrencies or to establish a business while still working as a freelancer, I don't know the one I should do at moment, if to invest in cryptocurrencies or to establish my business.

I’m on this same scenario before https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5405285.msg60516153#msg60516153 but the only difference was I already have the Bitcoin to start my business but I’m hesitant to sold my Bitcoin due to the potential of pumping since back then was the first wave of crypto market crash. I ended up selling part of my crypto holding and save some for my crypto savings. I decided to just split my asset just to make sure I can start my business and generate profit while still involved on crypto investment.

I’m currently have a stable income on my buy and sell business while my remaining crypto assets only lose few amount since I’m not holding huge amount compared before. I’m now slowly DCA on Bitcoin using part of my business profit. My target is to exceed my old Bitcoin holdings slowly using my business profit only.

Securing a stable source of income in the form of business first is best way then just enter on crypto if you are already generating profit. Bitcoin investment needs a lot of time commitment for your money to grow since the current market will give you high risk of losing more to your original holdings value. If you have the capital to do both by splitting it then I suggest to do it but don’t all in in crypto if you have a business plan.
1469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Zero KYC tolerance gambling platforms on: November 26, 2022, 03:35:13 AM
this is why it is always advisable to just submit kyc if it is indeed necessary. some casinos here don't require kyc even if it is stated on their terms. however, you should always be ready in case they ask for it. but as much as possible better play and spend significant amount of wagering funds in a reputable casino. so in case they need kyc, you won't feel that they are just asking it for nothing.
Maybe those who don't want to do KYC should strictly limit their use of money for gambling and not do anything that would raise the suspicions of the casino against them.
Never gamble with a lot of money if you are not prepared for the risk behind it.
And try to play at a reputable casino so that if you have to do KYC, your data will be safe with them.
And you also have to be prepared to do KYC in the future because this is probably what all casinos will do if the regulators force them to do it for all their users.

No. It’s still absurd to play in the casino at the first place even with this limitation just to hide from the eye of Casino for a possible KYC since all the casino ToS stated that they can imply it whenever they want it. A non-KYC fan should not play in the casino because they are just limiting themselves by playing with risk of exposing there privacy.

Here’s some list that will trigger alarm for Casino security to impose KYC on account and at the same time things that will limit user to experience on casino:
  • They are not allowed to win huge amount or jackpot prize
  • Playing only with small amount and manage to win most of the time
  • Use of VPN
  • Multiple deposit from different address

Much better to play on decentralized casino that doesn’t require KYC rather than risk playing on casino that has a threat on doing it.
1470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Casino tokens such as BFG, OWL or TFS on: November 25, 2022, 04:17:18 PM
Well, the FTX thing is something that gave us goosebumps, about some threads that have been created in the forum about what is better? have our coins in exchanges or in a personal wallet? Due to what happened, we already know what the correct answer is,
Which is to always store our crypto assets on cold wallet, because ever since the recent FTX experience, many people have learnt the hard way, knowing fully well now that keeping crypto assets on exchange is risky, hence,  moving these coins off to cold wallets have proven to be more safer, as it give us keys which grant us total control over our funds. However, casino tokens seems to be in good shape, ever since the market crashed, which is equally a good sign this token has potential and could do way better in time

Sadly but true. People is confident enough to trust FTX or Centralized exchange to hold there coins instead of keeping it safe on cold storage. The huge factor on why they keep doing this is because of there trading nature. Most of the FTX user do a regular trade on every crypto price movement while some of them that do savings purposes are keeping there money on DeFi staked so that they can earn while waiting. Being greedy on having profit every minute is what makes people risk on holding there assets on custodial wallets.

Casino tokens is not that affected because holders of this tokens is usually a gambler. The money put on this token is mainly not for investment purposes because this is a reward token. The price history of these tokens such as BFG only shows that the price keeps sliding due to its supply is increasing overtime. There will be no harsh dump on this token because no one accumulate enough before the market crash occurs.
1471  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun | Live tables | Baccarat |Slots| InstantWithraw on: November 25, 2022, 02:21:30 PM
The user interface improves drastically but the accessibility of games is still the same to the old one. I’m always having trouble on browsing games that I like because the only way to browse it is using the search bar and the filter option. I’m looking forward to see categorized games like Slots, Live Games and House Game which I can see immediately the games under this category.

*Maybe display what’s hot or top pick games so that user can easily play what’s popular games in the casino. The current browser only shows random games from random provider based on the filter set. It will be more efficient if the games page will be categorized and search function will give another option to browse the specific game that user looking for.

*I suggest to change the Burger button to Arrow(<) when it’s open so that user can easily understand that the button is for closing the side bar.

In general, the game experience is still the same smooth but less bug on slots on the current version. The black screen error is already removed that keeps persisting on old UI when playing faster on slot games.
1472  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Rainbow Indicator drop on all time low on: November 25, 2022, 10:55:33 AM
It's just another analysis that has been broken and that's okay. In most of them, there's no perfect analysis and indicator and just as this indicator shows that it has been broken.

The others have also shown the same thing.

This is the nature and beauty of bitcoin, no one can ever predict perfectly what will happen in the future. And that's why if people are telling that it will go to zero, believe them not and just think of the unexpected price to rise soon.

I agree that this just another analysis but the only difference was it’s accurate for a long time since Bitcoin exist which means this is not the typical analysis that we see on our social media account but rather the interpretation of the bitcoin price history for long time. I’m not a believer of this chart too but since I always seeing this picture on every Bitcoin post on my wall, I start to believe that many traders is checking on it as basis for the Bitcoin future movement.

Breaking the pattern after many years of being accurate is really alarming especially on the current times when the market is experiencing uncertainty due to the recent shit event. I will view this as warning but not a financial advice. It’s still good that we do safety precautions while we still have time.
1473  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hello Im trader i do binance futures trading see what i can Do here on: November 24, 2022, 02:26:07 PM
What kind of partnership are you looking for? Can't you trade yourself and make money in the background? Or are you going to attempt to sale your signals? However, futures trading is also much riskier than spot trading. Because you appear to be a newbie here, it is more risky to follow your signals. I am not a futures trader and am not interested in becoming one. Those who wish to follow your signals must tread cautiously. I'm not going to follow a newbie's signal anyway.

Judging on the nature of his post and how he construct. It’s either he will sell his signal or do a commission based on the profit user have on his signal. I saw this kind of scheme on telegram about random guy offering signal service which charge customer a membership fee or commission on there futures trading.

Also he is providing a literal future trading because his target price is the all time high while he didn’t provide leverage multiplier on his call. Definitely this is just a spot trading with a target future price.
1474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: November 24, 2022, 01:53:12 PM
I've seen fan pages earlier that have posted their roster prediction and it is obviously edited and pure speculation but I'm amazed that the speculative poster where the exactly the Blacklist international roster which were posted 6 hours apart. What an amazing community predicting who will be the Blacklist roster will be. This will be a sure hype for Filipino fans since it's a Filipino made team and yeah the communication isn't a problem and addition to that 3 out of 5 players where competed in the TI at the same team which is famous for the OG upset in 2016. I'm pretty glad that they signed kuku and others Filipino members to build that kind of team.

Typically the rumor on the social media about this kind of news is came from a reliable source since Filipino always want to spoil everything even though it’s not officially announced publicly. People on Kuyanic pages has connection on different PH Esports Team and probably the one who started this leak has an insider connection. 60% of the rumor on the PH social media chat is always tho.

I’m surprised that Kuku is still being given value to still form a team like this. I think should just do coach role instead of doing offlane since he is not effective anymore on competitive play. He is just a burden most of the time if his hero feed on laning phase. BlackList surely expanding now to Dota2 right after dominating the ML.  Cheesy
1475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin survive the apocalyse? on: November 24, 2022, 10:27:52 AM
Bitcoin is least of your worries when the apocalypse happened. Probably people will stop thinking about any material things or money when apocalypse or catastrophe hits humanity hard. Even if Bitcoin survive after an apocalypse, I doubt that people will be interested on it during the initial days since human instinct will tell us to secure necessities and slowly develop again. Bitcoin might be revive again but it will take time or it might be belong to the loss technology which old civilization always experienced when there is a reset in humanity.
1476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I Am So Done With Betting Until.... on: November 23, 2022, 01:35:49 PM

Argentina is a big disappointment, It's still hard to believe, I quit betting until I am able to forget this experience entirely.

It's all over the news you're not alone on this because no one will think that Argentia who is the third-ranked and one of the favorites will lose in a 51-ranked Saudi Arabia nobody will think its possible, you can think of an upset but never with a name Messi in the team, but it happens and this is the biggest shocker in the history of World Cup and there's a possibility that it can happen again, so invest what you can afford to lose, or you will lose everything again.

An upset match can happened again in this world cup because every team is playing for there country and for a possibility to bring home the trophy. Even a low rank team can improve on this kind of tournament due to the morale boost given by representing there country on this big event. Messi did his best but not enough to break Saudi Arabia defense despite they are in possession of the ball most of the time.

I think too that not only OP lose big time on this upset match because I’m sure that many bettor include this match on there parlays bet since this match can be considered as sure win already for Argentina.
1477  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bad economic situation always create more crimes on: November 23, 2022, 10:08:17 AM
it is common knowledge that if the economy is bad the crime rate will be high, but this will always happen if the government of one country cannot solve its economic problems in a sustainable manner, and they never measure the economy of the lower middle class (poor) they measure only the top,
Talking about economic problems will never end, for now survival is the key to dealing with increasingly high inflation, keep trying and developing ideas in your brain to create jobs for those in need so they can help the economy someone

In a 3rd world country, crime rate is still same no matter how bad the economy or not because the majority of people living on this country already experienced the worst due to the government corruption. I think this ideology is only applicable to rich country that the distribution of wealth is fairly distributed or the government can give assistance to its citizen.

The only time crime rate increased on 3rd world country is when drugs that affects the mind of people to do bad things due to poverty increase too.
1478  Economy / Gambling / Re: Neodice.com | Futuristic Dice Platform 🎲🌌 on: November 22, 2022, 12:39:01 PM
@Neodice. I want to suggest something. It might be better for the game to have the music always on by default, I reckon. It will certainly give the players a more relaxing experience if whether they are winning or losing hehe. Also, because your faucets has been gamefied, it might be good to add some sound effects for them. This will certainly make everyone more interested in playing them.
bbc.reporter, your idea sounds great.

It's hard to say what percentage of users would prefer to have music on by default. How do we know that players will get a more relaxing experience out of it? Maybe the user will turn down the sound on their device or make it louder? Perhaps it depends on the connection of the user's associations, at first glance the style of the gaming platform should match the music(retrowave, synthwave, etc) and the accompanying mood, but this is more individual than it seems. A good consensus has therefore been to leave the choice up to the players. However, if there is a high demand for it, we will implement it.

Oh please don’t do that because some gamblers like me usually have separate background music on my spotify while playing. The sound effects of dice game is really annoying since some casino have this and I always turn it off because it’s just repetitive same as what I’m doing when playing.

Just add an option to turn it on/off when the game starts like sound icon near the bet button. Only few player listen on the bgm on the casino especially on dice game.
1479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Do You Rate The Casino's Support You're Playing on: November 22, 2022, 09:56:43 AM
I’m also not in favor for casino that attacking there customer personal information just to retaliate and prove there point. It’s too unprofessional because they can just answer the question with faqs that doesn’t need to include emotion to prove there point. I only saw this unprofessional response on new casino here in the forum.

Casino like sportsbet, stake, duelbits and other old casino with good track record always handle there customer with care and don’t attack them nor disclose user info publicly just to degrade the user.
1480  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Rainbow Indicator drop on all time low on: November 19, 2022, 04:32:02 PM
I do not know much about the rainbow pattern, but I do know that it is good to DCA now which would be profitable in long term. This is not also about trading, it is about investing and about bitcoin price speculation, it would be good if you move this topic to speculation.

As for me, if bitcoin price will decrease further, it will not be significant before the next bull market, DCA now would be profitable.

My initial plan is to put this on speculation but I want to receive a reply base on trading discussion aspect aside from speculation since this pattern is an indicator and I don’t have any idea about this same as you.

I will start to DCA once the pattern is confirmed to be invalid to make sure I will get the best position I can get. 10K is the next major support while we are already halfway there. I already learned my lesson a lot when it comes to this waiting game on buying the dip. I will be patient this time.

I want to know how the heck this pattern can be view using tradingview. Is it possible or anyone has the customized code for this indicator?
