501  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you think should I buy for 1 year? on: July 28, 2019, 02:14:00 AM
After 3 months I will be in the army for a whole year. And I came to the conclusion that I need to buy something for $1000. This is not an important amount for me, but at the same time, I want to come home and with probability to raise this amount. I want to hear the opinion of experienced people, it will also be interesting to look at this topic in a year. Who advised what)

$1,000 is not really a nice amount for 3 months investment time on Bitcoin. I would have advised you to choose Bitcoin on top of other coins. But given the condition, I guess the best choices would be ETH, LTC, or XMR. These are the coins that are going to be the best performers when the altcoin pump will occur a month or two from now.
502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: hardware wallets safe? on: July 28, 2019, 01:41:40 AM
Hardware wallets are the best, in terms of security most especially. There cannot be any wallet safer than that. Unlike hot wallets, hardware wallets cannot simply be accessed by anyone through the internet. That makes it effectively unreachable to a certain extent, most especially during these times when hacking is becoming a bigger problem.

504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Refusing to pay bounty hunters is a red flag. Scam- KNT as case study on: July 27, 2019, 03:05:13 AM
There are actually a whole lot of them. Others have their own schemes to just shirk responsibility from the people who help them reach whatever success they have. Some are devising disagreeable set-up for their own advantage even if disadvantageous to their marketers. If they fail, it is largely due to their being dishonest. If they are dishonest to their own bounty participants, they could be dishonest to others. Perfect recipe for failure.
505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Advise Newbies To Enter Bitcoin Now? on: July 27, 2019, 02:35:02 AM
I will introduce Bitcoin to them first. I believe an introduction to Bitcoin is enough for them to decide to invest some on it and perhaps shift from fiat to BTC in their purchases. Newbies should not be made to invest immediately if they do not yet know the reality of Bitcoin. After they know Bitcoin, no less than the technology itself, its advantages and disadvantages, its risks and benefits, only then will they decide whether to invest or not.

507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin & Lightning - Would you pay for coffee instantly if it was possible? on: July 26, 2019, 03:13:31 AM
I will spend it. I have no doubt about Bitcoin designed primarily as a currency. If fees are going to reduced to a reasonable amount and transaction confirmation time is also increased to almost instantaneous, I am very much positive that Bitcoin will rise more as a currency rather than as an asset. As a matter of fact, that is the main concern of a lot of people why they choose not to spend their BTC. A fee for a cup of coffee is worth another cup. That is unreasonable.
508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The only safe haven currency is Bitcoin on: July 26, 2019, 02:41:11 AM
Bitcoin is the safest haven currency because it is absolutely yours. You own it. Nobody else has access and power over it except yourself. And when a world war breaks out, your fiat is going to be intercepted at the airport. There's only a maximum allowed. Your gold and silver and other jewelries have to be registered and taxed as well, and there's probably another maximum value. Your Bitcoins, however, are unknown to whoever is screening your belongings.

510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO's has cause more harm done good on: July 25, 2019, 02:47:41 AM
I will not agree with the OP. IEO appears to be much better and much safer than ICO. This is one fact we cannot deny. And so on this basis, I would say that IEO has caused more good than harm. If there are people who ended up losing in their IEO investments due to their laziness to investigate the credentials of the projects before investing, that is already beyond the IEO mode of gathering resources. The fault is not on IEO in general but on the part of the investors.
511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You don't loose if you don't encash on: July 25, 2019, 02:11:26 AM
I'd like to tell you that this is my mentality, at least I'm convincing myself that I will not loss money if I will not encase and even if my total portfolio now is only worth 10% of its original value, but I'm still optimistic the market will recover, especially the altcoins market.

There's the strongest hand. But I am personally taking this as a very risky strategy. In fact, a lot riskier if you take into consideration the altcoins market. Many of them are severely affected by the bear market so much so that they seem not have moved on a bit in their development. Volumes have turned into zero.

My decision regarding this will always be on a case-to-case basis. I will never sell a portion and encash my Bitcoin at a loss. But as to some shitcoins I am holding, I am very willing to let go of them even with a loss.
512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You don't loose if you don't encash on: July 24, 2019, 02:54:11 AM
Hey  Smiley

I once came across a time when I was unsure where the market is going to take us , thus I brought at a very high price , unfortunately the price came down as quickly as it climbed up.

The reason I believe I haven't lost even a single penny is because I believe you cannot loose when you don't encash.

Therefore I still believe holding for the long term can actually help you .

That's the big joke on wallstreetbets, you can't lose if you don't sell, but obviously that isn't true, if you're holding a shitcoin like bitconnect and it goes to zero you have lost, regardless of selling or not.

If you are holding a shitcoin, you better forget about this mantra. This is not absolute, after all. If you are holding Bitcoin, this applies. I am also with the preference to hold my BTC if it falls lower than the price I bought it, unless there is a pressing need to sell at a loss. I guess the OP refers to BTC since this thread is on this section.
513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scammer Craig Wright trying to scare people. on: July 24, 2019, 02:47:01 AM

That's it, let him sell if he really has it.
So maybe he has it?   Huh
I'm confused now. We know is a scammer and is not satoshi, so how can he have that many bitcoin?

Why are you too troubled about what CSW said? My hunch is that Craig Wright do not have the possession of this much amount of Bitcoin. Well, before threatening he should have shown that the amount he mentioned is in his possession. Otherwise, his threat is nothing but childish, a behavior that perfectly fits a cry-baby like him. That alone should pacify you already. And if he really does have the amount, it is impossible for CSW to let go of all of it. He knows he'll be a loser in front of the world if he does that.
514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Imagine that you're new to crypto now on: July 24, 2019, 02:12:20 AM
I will be starting from the very first step. I will be gathering as much reliable information as possible. It is better to know something thoroughly before even starting to invest on it. Probably, informational videos will be the most helpful for me as well as raising questions to some individuals who have already acquired much knowledge about cryptocurrency. And then finally, I will take a look at the price and consult the experts whether it is the perfect time to buy or wait for another time.
515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO IS WAY BETTER on: July 24, 2019, 01:44:25 AM
ICO was like a free-for-everyone universe. Every whim and imagination could turn into a project that would launch an ICO. The security level of the ICO market is almost nil. ICO investors are exposed to a higher risk as compared to IEO. IEO is way safer in that several layers of security measures are present. The mere fact that they are using an exchange means a lot. They have to convince the exchange first that they are legit.

517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Altcoins? on: July 23, 2019, 04:41:03 AM
Hi! Everyone

What do you think is best methods to increase your Altcoin.

Invest in ICO?
Trading?
Hold?
Others?

There is no better way to increase your altcoins than by buying more. That is not included in your list apparently. Investing in ICO is a bit obsolete and very risky. I would not recommend it. Trading is the next best way to increase your altcoins. But it needs a lot of preparation. Nevertheless, it is always worth learning. There is so much money in trading provided your skills will grow to an expert level. HODL is only applicable if we talk of the very few solid altcoins.
518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Trust a Project Announce BY A Legendary Member on: July 23, 2019, 04:14:56 AM
Will you trust a project that the one that announced it in the announcement thread is a legendary member even though the legendary has announced that he is not part of the team and was just part of the service he offered.

Let me know your thoughts here.

What is the connection? I cannot find any at all. I am sorry.

What has an anonymous forum member, and whatever his rank may be, got to do with a project of which he is not even a team member?

I cannot see any reason why I would trust or not trust a project based on someone posting its announcement thread on a forum. It does not speak anything about the product, goal, economic, roadmap, and so on and so forth of the project itself.

It is completely irrelevant.
519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is successful? - this one statement sums it up! on: July 23, 2019, 03:44:41 AM
Indeed! There is no one or nothing you can see controlling Bitcoin. There is no one or nothing from which Bitcoin took its direction or orders or whatever. Bitcoin is an idea. It is like an air, you cannot control it, you cannot hold it in your hands; it doesn't escape, it is simply free. And yet everyone is breathing it. And now you cannot avoid comparing it to our existing fiat currency. It is the complete opposite. No need to ask why people would prefer Bitcoin over fiat.
520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will BNB reach $50 This Year? on: July 23, 2019, 03:14:11 AM
Most probably. It might even go beyond that. It appears to me that Binance is indeed putting much significance to their marketing efforts and strategies. There are a lot of great exchanges as Binance actually. KuCoin, for example, is one of them. And KuCoin Shares (KCS) is one of the better altcoins to invest on. And yet Binance is really building the necessary hype. No wonder why the value of BNB is fast rising. $50 target is very reachable within the year.
