501  Economy / Economics / Re: Does engaging with bitcoins put you at risk? on: July 13, 2018, 10:53:02 PM
We, as physically and intellectually healthy individuals, strive and survive to achieve our dreams, establish our roles in the society and fulfill our needs and wants. But in order to do this, we are also required to be financially healthy. The lingering fact is that money is not achievable as a single candy you can buy in the store. Sometimes, people risk their lives and reputation just to get a handful. Bitcoins are not officially a currency that you can just see in a certain country, that are being utilized and used. So, is dealing with bitcoins and other things related to it also puts us in a risky gamble?
The risk is real, not because Bitcoin is not officially a currency (most people consider it as an asset ayways) but because your home country can anytime decide to ban it or take serious action against it that may lead to difficulty while sleeping or difficulty in keeping hands at it (finding difficulty at selling it locally). An investor should consider these facts before even talking at speculative character of it and such things.
502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Fake binance pump? on: July 13, 2018, 06:14:12 PM
Every other time we see a coin get pumped badly on binance, recently being the case of sys coin. My question is, Should we take part in such pumps ? How much risks it involves? How long should we hold that coin?
Most of pumps you see in binance are leaded by some Pump and Dump groups, these are very risky if you get involved in the trade and you didn't sell in the right time (Greediness,or lack of skills). Therefore I don't recommend participating in those,I'm highly convinced that the owners buy a large amount of the coins before they get pumped and then dump them on members.
503  Economy / Economics / Re: hackers becoming smarter than exchanges? on: July 12, 2018, 09:22:31 PM
Well most of us here are already aware of the hacking activities of binance and bancor. They are taking practical measures to track down the culprits but the question on my mind is why could coincidentally both exchanges be hacked? Now it appears that the exchanges are not moving at a faster and innovative ways to upgrading their systems and allow these hackers time to study their systems well, identify the loop holes and cause the problem. In my opinion, exchanges should always move in an unpredictable way so as to always confuse these scammers .The scammers are scaring new investors away and this must stop.Exchanges must be up and doing so that we can attract new investors into cryptocurrency else our efforts are going in vain to attracting new investors.
Exploits and security holes are constantly found no matter how the systems are upgraded.Even Youtube got hacked;though cryptocurrency related organisations are being focused by hackers more than others.
But in the other hand you are right, some exchanges just don't do enough effort of protecting the funds, this reminds of Bitgrail who was hacked 12 millions of nano coins (that coin got heavily damaged from that hack, investors lost alot of money because of it)
504  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: WhaleLend - EARN INTEREST on CRYPTO HOLDINGS -- Risk-Free and Trusted on: July 12, 2018, 06:07:29 PM
It smells fishy to me.I usually never participate in ay kind of program that promise X% of interest. But let's suppose it's legit, why the expiry date is January 2019?It looks like a planned exist scam.
Source:whois.net

PS:I'm just having a critical mind, trading is not stable and there is no way you can guarantee the interest profit for investors.
505  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading bots on: July 12, 2018, 05:37:47 PM
Go and learn something.

Don't worry I am Smiley that's why I'm interested in open source bots (should have been more specific). And would also like to know what people here are thinking about bots in general.

I have read in some comments here where people saying the exchanges are run by bots. But I had a hunch this is not exactly true. Even a very smart neural network would probably not be able to predict fluctuations like that...or would it?

I don't think there is decent trading bots open source most of the good ones cost a fee (not that expencive I believe). But in my humbe opinion bots are not that useful if you are not already a good trader;it surely helps but it won't make you rich out of air, skills are required no matter what.
506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I will never join AirDrop programs any more on: July 12, 2018, 05:13:34 PM
I wonder why so many people expect so much from airdrops anyway. They are just a way to create awareness and not to get anyone rich overnight from whatever they are given. The idea is to have those who can simply just hold all the way due to the low value which I call easy hold, and then forget about it. It is free money, but the only thing I detest about it is how people just opt for anything, regardless if it is even a scam project.

Never been a fan of airdrop as I see no point in it as long as you have some bucks to invest, but if you feel you are cool about it and you can at least spend little of your time to get from solid projects with prospects, you do not need to stop because of the value now, but focus on the future.

Check the value of XVG when it all started (you can get the all time historical price from coinmarketcap) and then assume if you had a chance of just $5 worth of XVG airdrop back then, what you would have been worth now and maybe that would generally change your long term HODL mentality. Here is the link; https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/verge/historical-data/?start=20130428&end=20180621
Airdrops are all about luck, you may meet an airdrop that will be a success (There quite a lot of examples:Rebelious,Nano (Raiblocks),Deep onion,Ripple etc...) and earn you a lot of money and others that won't even distribute the coins or the value will be so low that it won't be profitable to send them to an exchange.
I'm convinced that those who have influence are the ones who get out airdrops the most (I'm talking about airdrops websites owners, big channel owners etc..) with referral rewards,it's almost auto-pilot and very profitable in case there is a profitable airdrop.
507  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: 🔥[TRADEBOT.LIVE]🔥Decentralized Bitcoin Auto Faucet Collector - Get Upto 1 BTC! on: July 11, 2018, 10:17:57 PM
In addition to what have been said above,I highly doubt a bot can bypass faucets security (3000 faucets lol) and even if a bot was able to do so,the owner won't make it public and would profit from it himself.
This is an obvious scam don't fall for it.

Edit:Even the live payouts seems fake, just scraping from new transactions in the blockchain
508  Economy / Services / Re: Stolen BTC Bounty on: July 11, 2018, 09:54:44 PM
Was the laptop hacked, or was it stolen or physically used to send the coin to another address?

I assume it was hacked, since no one on the room had knowledge of bitcoin at the time things happened, and besides, the for obvious reasons, didn't know my password.

I may add a few more details, since I think I've been a bit vague on the OP.

I was using Electrum as my wallet, not Multi-sig since I had had a bit of an emergency and didn't have enough time to use the 2FA. I was at a friends' house, and the moment I opened my wallet to add the 2FA, I saw an outgoing transaction that had been created less than 1 minute before I opened the wallet itself.
Inless than1minute time? Then you ought to have stop the transaction.

Nevertheless, it does matter if no one around have knowledge of bitcoin because alot of people have join cryptocurrency during the last high traffic, so in this kind of situation the only person who's clean is you cause you're the owner of the wallet. Therefore, I will ask if you're using updated antivirus, windows and wallet.
It's true that you could have stopped the transaction before it gets confirmed by double spending it.It surely happened in the past when a guy got his wallet hijacked;the address he wanted to send his bitcoins to got replaced by the hackers one and he didn't pay attention to it.
509  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: 📌🔥 [AIRDROP]Bitrewards(XBR)>>PLAY GAMES & Earn XBR 💰~"XBR City Game Faucet"🚀 on: July 11, 2018, 07:19:44 PM
The concept is very good but unfortunately the earning is not even decent  Undecided Even with normal faucet an user can make more by playing this game the entire day,I guess that current players harvest XBR hopping for it to gain value with time but again nothing is guaranteed. Also correct me if I'm wrong but since it's an economy based game, the more players play, the more XBR gain value?
510  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold & Silver are safe than bank deposits ?? on: July 11, 2018, 07:15:39 PM
75% of South African gold mines are not profitable. Does this mean they risk closure ?? Digging for gold more and more deep under the earth is getting expensive and less profitable. All those talks of huge gold finds look false. Supply of gold could fall.

I see Gold at $2100/ounce.
No profit no continuity. If it's true then supply of gold will probably fall as you mentioned.I wonder if the supply fall could the price get a decent pump in value.
Regarding banks,Those who tell that banks can collapse/bankrupt.But what if the bank belongs directly to the government (national banks I guess?) It's nearly impossible that it go bankrupt because they won't take risks like other banks can take to make more profit.
511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How useful is bounty programs to the overall success of icos? on: July 11, 2018, 05:39:03 PM
In my humble opinion bounty programs impact is negative.Simply because the community is made of spammers that find loopholes, multi claims, multiple accounts to receive the highest amount of tokens possible more than what they deserve and the final goal of these is to dump the tokens,in the end investors get damaged (UCash is a great example for this,Rebelious too).So in conclusion, projects needs healthy bounty hunters who will contribute to it and not just harvest the tokens to dump them.
512  Economy / Services / Re: Stolen BTC Bounty on: July 11, 2018, 04:45:11 PM
I found a kind of github list that contain the address your coins where sent to.And for some reasons all the addresses present there contain around 53BTC seems really sketchy though.
Here it is:https://raw.githubusercontent.com/userghost123/BTC-Address-6-7-18/master/README.md
Edit:I know it doesn't lead us to anywhere, just trying.
513  Economy / Services / Re: Stolen BTC Bounty on: July 11, 2018, 04:15:38 PM
Can you recall the version of electrum you were using? Because I think that there was a vulnerability on old versions (patched on new ones edit:here) especially if you didn't encrypt your wallet with a password (Please tell us if it's the case).I think it's just a coincidence if it happened in your friend's house, have you dowloaded something just before opening the wallet?
I think for now it's almost impossible to recover the funds but if you give enough details of what happened someone may able to determine how the funds were stolen and maybe track the thieft.
514  Economy / Economics / Re: Facebook now joining btc? on: July 10, 2018, 09:15:33 PM
When he banned the crypto adverts the whole market experienced a bad situation and uncertainity and for sure if a such company make payments in crypto the confidence on market would skyrocket.
Facebook banishment of crypto advertisement didn't matter at all.Simply because 90% of the advertisements were scam pozis/hyips/doublers (especially after the bitconnect fiasco).I still see some adverts related to cryptocurrecy mainly ICOs that looks legit,so yeah it's more a process of filtering than a banishment.
515  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: What are taxes in Belgium? on: July 10, 2018, 08:54:15 PM
Hello,
I'm a tourist in Belgium and I want to sell some BTC.I'll probably receive the money within a family member bank account (Belgium account) with SEPA wire.
I wonder if I'm subject to any tax? If there any Belgian here please shed some lights on my concerns it would be much appreciated.
Regards

As far as I know, if you're a tourist and receive money in another country, you're subject to your local laws. That's because your tax residency hasn't changed.
Since someone in Belgium will get the money for you, it would be the most beneficial if that person reported gains, especially since:
Belgium does not tax capital gains on personal property. Capital gains on personal capital assets and investments (that are not used for a business) are tax exempt if they are realised within ''normal management of a private estate consisting of securities, tangible assets or real property.'

If I were you I'd ask the family member to sell and report gains in Belgium, where it's tax free, and give you cash.
Right,if I understood well I'll ask my family member to receive the money in his bank account and give me cash and report  "gains",that's the part where the issue is.What gains?I didn't buy Bitcoins in Belgium so what gains should him report?Should he report the amount sold or...?
516  Economy / Economics / Re: Facebook now joining btc? on: July 10, 2018, 08:33:36 PM
I don't have idea about what Facebook , is doing.. ?
Then why are you commenting about it in a language you obviously have no idea how to use?

It's crazy how Facebook exploded.  Their stock tanked shortly after their IPO, and I wouldn't consider buying it (doesn't pay a dividend and probably never will), but it's gone up a lot since then.  I'm sure that accounts for a good part of MZ's wealth.  I just never understood the maniacal appeal of the service they offer.  But they're a pure tech company, and I'd say it's about time they embraced crypto.

From what I've read on bitcointalk, it's not bitcoin they're talking about but their own coin, but I think even if that's the case it'll still be good for bitcoin, since it gets people involved in cryptocurrency.  Once people learn the value of cryptocurrency in general, they'll see how dominant bitcoin really is.
The service they offer is very good for advertisers but it may hurt privacy of members. It's good for advertisers because the targeting of advertisements are high-tech like you've said (Quick example, when I started getting interested in cryptocurrency even if I never do any activity related to cryptocurrency inside facebook itself,I started getting ONLY advertisements about cryptocurrency). It does sound good but if we think behind the scenes...That means facebook stalks every single user activity even outside it's plateform...? Huh Embarrassed Scarry.
517  Other / Off-topic / Re: A car will cost you $700/month to $4000/month on: July 10, 2018, 07:33:55 PM
Let's say you buy a $20,000 car and you have this car for 7 years. So $20,000/7 = $3000/year.

You will change all the 4 tyres every year plus fuel expenses every month plus maintainence/garage expenses for 7 years.

So your monthly expenses for a $20,000 car = $700/month (approx) and for $200,000 car = $4000/month (approx)

How about monthly parking fee? Fuel? Monthly service? Annual taxes? Yet another car bill/car payment? Yes, that's why i sold my car. And there is a new way to commutting nowadays.. it's called ride sharing. I prefer this, it's much simpler than owning a car.
It is true that if you add up the parking fee which is about 5$ per night in my country it would cost hella lot.But I guess that most of those who have a car does have their own garage or there is space infront of their house where to put their car.The problem of ride sharing it's not convenient if you want to hangout with your family elsewhere,it is only for going to work or such plus if everyone thinks like you do even ride sharing will become less usual.

519  Economy / Economics / Re: List of useful materials on economics on: July 09, 2018, 11:27:09 PM
With the arrival of newbie to the forum, I consider it necessary to push them in the first place, to learning and self-development. Many coming to the forum think that making money on the crypto currency is very simple, you do not need any knowledge, skills. But this is not so! As with any other business here, one must learn, develop and be educated. After all, every year, the Crypto-currency increases its capitalization and more and more large companies and states accept it as a means of payment. Digital currencies are spreading wildly. They are not inferior to the functional financial system and even surpass it. Here there is a need for knowledge of the economic part. Therefore, I want to create a list of necessary literature for everyone, from beginners to already experienced users of this forum.

1. Daron Acemoglu and James Robinson. «Why Nations Fail»
2. Ha-Joon Chang. «Economics: The User’s Guide»
3. N. Gregory Mankiw. «Principles of Economics»
4. Robert Pindyck, Daniel Rubinfeld. «Microeconomics»
5. Olivier Blanchard. «Macroeconomics»
6. "Sheep in wolfskins", Walter Block
7. "Capital", Karl Marx
8. "Economics of everything", Alexander Auzan

I call everyone who knows what useful or cognitive materials, books or articles for self-development in the economy, write in the comments will add to the list. So we help each each other. At the moment I start reading the book "Capital", Karl Marx. In advance I express my gratitude to all who will not pass by and add their opinion or fill this list with material.

The literature you have mentioned is based on the traditional economy where Banks and governments play the major role. However, the world of economy is quickly changing. With the introduction of crypto currency in to the sector, has taken the game to another playing field. Soon these books need to be re-written or they will loose their significance.
You are right,I did read some economics books I've found in my local library classified as "popular" and yeah when involved in cryptocurrency world it's hard to keep up with these kind of books because it simply changed your state of mind. It's unfortunate but I don't find alot of books about economics integrating cryptocurrency. The day when we will start seeing local libraries selling books about crypto will be the day that a lot of people will become aware of what's happening because in my opinion books can reach people more than internet.
520  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Please help me test my new faucet script on: July 09, 2018, 08:34:48 PM
I just tested your test website.Overall it's working like a charm, even if the rewards are low considering the fact that the page will be full of ads + the shortlink, but I guess it will be fully customisable by the owner. Also add an anti-adblocker since I can use adblock without any problem. One last thing is that the "Dashboard" button and "Home" lead to the same page.It would be good if the "Home" one lead to a kind of splash page introducing the faucet features.
