761  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi? Why did he hide his identity? on: September 08, 2017, 08:45:03 PM
Why did Satoshi hide his identity? Has anyone seen Satoshi in real life?
Is Satoshi one person? Or is it a community?
For me Satoshi is one person, that probably created a revolutionary invention which is bitcoi,.And he was aware of that and knew that anyday soon bitcoin will affect financial system worldwide. He probably prefered to hide his self as some potential governement that wish to shut down bitcoin may want to force him to somehow act against bitcoin developpement.

Others say, that a group of people that are against being not anonymous in there daily life, they are named cypher punks may be behind bitcoin creation.

We are not ready to discover who is Satoshi anyways  Smiley
762  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: careful with electrium wallets ( my one got hacked bitcoin stolen) on: September 08, 2017, 08:35:48 PM
I doubt that it's electrum wallet fault.Think of other possibilities such as someone took your private keys or someone used your laptop while you were absent.
Also I'd advisey ou to post some screenshots of your wallet to emphasise your situation some part of your story is unclear to me.
Anyway if you have some hope on people tracking down the "potential' thief, post a thread in the marketplace service section.
Good luck mate and sorry for your loss  Smiley
763  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-09-08] Caixin: China is said planning to shut local bitcoin exchanges on: September 08, 2017, 03:03:19 PM
This will have a huge effect on bitcoin market.I already smell a huge dump too, bitcoin is already dipping back to 4200$.Hopefully chinese people react to this.
However I was wondering why China would destroy bitcoin market in their country?I mean I can understand that they got ride of ICOs scamming people but there is not valable reason to try and break down mother of cryptocurrencies. An aswer would be appreciated thanks
764  Economy / Services / Re: $25 task, need to register somehere on: September 07, 2017, 09:45:30 AM
Guys,Becareful when dealing with this user.He had a thread where he was seeking to buy users ID/Passport to register on ICOs.
Here's the thread link:https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2129205.0

Now he is asking for linkedin account. He will probably need access to your linkedin account to signup on an ICO.That mean you will expose all your linkedin informations to be registered on the ICO.I wouldn't take that risk for 25$ guys,Who knows for what this user will use your account or how the ICO company will deal with your personal informations...
I repeat myself Be careful.
765  Economy / Services / Re: Will People Buy This ? on: September 06, 2017, 08:41:29 PM
Knock. Knock. Knock. Anyone ?
Well if I was located in one of the countries mentioned above in the OP (Which I'm not part of) and I see potential in your offer/project I would pay that 1.99$ in bitcoins without any problem.
However my opinion may vary depending on how my intuition goes with your offer,If I smell some sketchy/shady behavior I would easily change my mind even for 2 bucks.

Good luck mate  Smiley
766  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-09-06] Trojan Virus TrickBot Targets Coinbase Users on: September 06, 2017, 07:23:33 PM
Quote

A new version of the famous banking Trojan TrickBot has expanded the circle of potential victims to the users of the popular cryptocurrency account Coinbase. This is reported by BleepingComputer.

The discover was made by security researchers from Forcepoint. According to their data, TrickBot can impose a fake login page when a user visits Coinbase through his browser. Having received user data to enter the account, scammers transfer cryptocurrency from the victims's wallets to their own.

Troyan was first discovered in 2016, and then its purpose was the data of online banking users. Today, it can "infect" users' devices and impose fake login pages on banking portals in more than ten countries. In June 2017, the Trojan targeted PayPal accounts and login pages of several well-known CRM-systems. A new version of TrickBot with "cryptocurrency support" was discovered in late August and was contained in documents attached to the spam mailing allegedly on behalf of the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce.

As the world of cryptocurrency is expanding at an amazing pace, so do the ability of many hackers and phishers to victimized innocent and sometimes hapless people. Their main business is always to steal from vulnerable sites and to inflict pain on as many humans as possible. These hackers are the best representative of being heartless and guiltless there can ever be.

Wallet service providers should be doing everything they can inorder to protect the money of the clients who trusted them so much and must fix all the possible leaks and bugs as soon as possible while at the same being always advanced in thinking and decision making.

The problem, these days people click on every link they see without paying attention to the possible phishing.
Keyloggers and such viruses doesn't fall from sky. They come through downloads or through phishing websites.
Paypal has implemented a security system that I honestly fan of.Whenever a foreign IP logs to your account, the account get locked until the owner confirm that he was the one that logged in his account by confirming it by phone number and email verification.
This has to be implemented in exchanges or atleast encourage 2FA to all users.
767  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-09-03] Bitcoin By 2020 on: September 06, 2017, 04:24:53 PM
price may be up morethan 10000$ or down less than 0.5$
I don't think that it's possible that bitcoin goes down to 0.5$.Not now anyways.

i think it will back to 600$
Bitcoin now is over that stage. It won't go under 4000$.

By now, many Bitcoin enthusiasts are trying to work out a realistic projection for Bitcoin over the next few years.

From analyst Ronnie Moas who sees a $15,000-$20,000 value by late 2020 to independent views that point at $1 mln per Bitcoin, some of these predictions seem outrageous and outright impossible.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-by-2020
I don't think Bitcoin could reach $20k in only 3 years. It will probably take like 5-7 years before it could go that far.Keep in mind that technology doesn't upgrade that much in only 3 years.
768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fees are too low! on: September 05, 2017, 08:27:37 PM
Transaction fees are getting bigger and bigger. I don't see where bitcoin fees are low.

proof?
Here's the proof dude:

The fees are too high.Do you imagine 10-15$ per transaction buddy?
The miners doesn't need fees anyways, the block reward is already decent.

Hopefully that now when SegWit take fully effect, transaction fees get snowballed soon.Just to say that 20 sat/byte is not the fees you think we spend at the moment.
769  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed by mofo1989 on: September 05, 2017, 08:16:49 PM
Hello, I was scammed by mofo1989.

he was giving me PaySafeCards at a discount. I was a fool to not use an escrow.

He remains offline on Skype now. DO NOT TRUST HIM.

Can you provide some evidence/proofs that he scammed you? That will make the process way easier.Default trust members will ask you to do this before tagging his account anyways.
He has a junior account, you should have thought of using escrow with non-established accounts.
This is a lesson to you, always use escrow.
Sorry for your loss if it's the case and good luck  Smiley
770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Xapo and BCH on: September 05, 2017, 07:57:31 PM
I finally contacted them, and they told me that they will update users within 2 weeks. However I'm skeptical about this. Why the took that much time?I mean today we are 5th September and they need 2 more weeks to come out to users with a good reason.
What do you think of this guys? For sure,I'm leaving that Wallet after they give out users bitcoin cash, found out that electrum wallet is way better.
771  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The DEATH of Bitcoin Surfaces Again on: September 05, 2017, 06:50:02 PM

Is this the beginning of the death of Bitcoin? Well, the topic is now resurrecting again now that Bitcoin just experienced one of the biggest bloodbaths ever in its trading history. And this the trend right now for the whole cryptocurrency market...we are seeing waves of red all over.

No wonder the FUD community is now having a fiesta...they think that this can be the start of the end of the world...I mean the end of Bitcoin and that it can crashed soon towards the $100 price.

Are they kidding me?
That's bullshit.
Bitcoin dropped in price because of China banning ICOs which resulted in chinese poeple panic sell their bitcoin to fiat. However if you see the charts,Bitcoin is recovering the dump gradually.

Bitcoin cannot die even if the price goes down, there will always be people that wills till have faith on it.Only 1 thing can kill bitcoin.Disabling Internet, which is technically impossible.
772  Economy / Services / Re: ZacharyK's Uber Referral Service || WORLDWIDE || CHEAP on: September 03, 2017, 03:32:07 PM
Today I claimed the vouch copy from OP

Hey OP,
Why those claiming vouch copy did not take place openly ?
It is always good to have open conversation for such activities so that the credibility of service providers will be shown to this community.

Next time, when you plan up for vouch copy, let more people ask for vouches and then choose a well-known and relatively established member like Hero/legendary. Because it seems you come up with alt to vouch yourself. I am sorry for that.
Are you serious?
You are doubting me being an alt of zachary? Are you dumb or what?
Oh I see your problem now,you are mad because I acted faster than you by claiming the vouch copy. No,seriously there isn't a difference between being a full member and an hero/legendary.If OP intended to scam,it's not that hard to have an hero alt anyways.
Or you are just spamming your signature compaign?I see better the picture now.Go and attack members away from here.Good bye

Edit:Next time ask for some proofs instead of shitposting without any solid proof.

773  Economy / Services / Re: ZacharyK's Uber Referral Service || WORLDWIDE || CHEAP on: September 03, 2017, 10:21:09 AM
Today I claimed the vouch copy from OP and here's my review:
There's no doubt that OP can provide vouchers/discounts for your next Uber rides, you only need to give him your referral code and DONE!.However the discount value varies from country to another.I guess that First world countries get more valuable discounts.
I live in third world country so I only got 1.75$ discount for the next 3 rides.(1.75$ is 50% discount for my country, yes our uber is kinda cheap). So I'm not complaining.
Thanks OP  Smiley
774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More and more blocks >1M, are you using segwit? on: September 02, 2017, 02:11:34 PM
4For the last week we all read the twitter storms about segwit transactions being made between bitcoiners.
Right now , more and more blocks over 1m are getting mined.

So, are you using the new feature?
I wish I could be able to use SegWit right now.But unfortunately I'm still using a web wallet (Xapo)(which is really dumb from me).My web wallet still didn't update their software to be able to accept SegWit transactions.
I'm really hoping they update it in the near future because right now I'm paying exorbitant fees (10-15$ per transaction) which become a serious problem for bitcoin.

I'm aware that I must use a wallet which I have access to private keys,I'm just waiting for my web wallet to release my BCH and stop using it forever.
775  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In what situation would Bitcoin die? on: September 02, 2017, 02:05:56 PM
How and why would the end of bitcoin (and any other cryptocurrency) occur? Value decrease? Legality issues? Different technology/ideas to supersede it?
In my opinion,Bitcoin can die in only 1 situation.Certainly not price decrease, because people would still use it.Also  Bitcoin is the mother of cryptocurrency, even if a new potential concept superseding Bitcoin, there will still be people interested in Bitcoin no matter what.

The only situation where Bitcoin can die is,if somehow the internet shutdown worldwide (which is mostlikely impossible to happen because most of human being became more and more dependent on internet)
776  Economy / Services / Re: Donation-based mailing list for job opportunities. on: September 01, 2017, 07:14:00 AM
I liked the idea considering this is useful if you are out somewhere and not able to tap the forum due to some personal reasons and in between if opportunity comes you will be able to help them out. So is it that you will be keeping a database of users with you and if anything specific comes to them you will inform them and they can apply for the job.

Will this hunt be basically for the technical guys only like designing/programming or even for small tasks where there is earning opportunity etc. Because not many would fall in those technical field here.
Hello!
Thank you for your interest.Yes what you said is right. Not everyone has the chance to be active on the forum constantly and yes this project is under developpement and the first step is to build users database.
Also this will is open for everyone not only designers/programmers.If you see the google form I added another option "Other" so you can state freely your skills/qualifactions.

I just sumbit my skills Cheesy in case of need can show you a few jobs made by the team and I. Thanks for the opportunity it is great.
Submitted my form. Hope for your help. I am gonna to share with you 20% from every job you find for me  Wink
Thanks guys!I'll be doing my best.

Hello pals,

This forum goes crazy fast.

New threads get started, and before you know it they are already on the second page.

Somebody has seen these clients crying for help!

They are already taking advantage of the situation, and they are crafting their proposal to convince them that they can solve the problem, and provide the solution.

YOU could be competing with them!
YOU could provide more value to these clients!

However, the problem is, you are missing out on the opportunity, by not having a person dedicated to tracking, categorizing, and informing you of relevant opportunities.

With me, you find the solution.

I follow these forums, day and night, and come across many opportunities for which I cannot personally compete. Instead, I send them to my friends, whom I know can offer something to the clients.
Use this link to sign up to my mailing list, and become my friend to whom I send relevant opportunity reports.

sounds great,  this will help out more users who are hunting for jobs here in the forum. but what exactly is your primary porpuse of doing this kind of service?
Well,I'm very active on this forum and I see alot of people that are seeking for someone to help them for their project like a designer or a programmer but don't find the right person easily. With my service,I'll be the middleman between employers and employees this will make things easier because I'll be  sorting the perfect employee that will fulfill the employer needs. And if employees finds my service good and helped them to find jobs, they can donate/tip me!
I hope I clarified things out now. Thanks! Smiley

779  Economy / Collectibles / Re: WTS old casascius bitcoins from 2013 (used) on: August 31, 2017, 08:06:52 AM
Hey, anyone interested in buying real physical casascius bitcoins from 2013? they are claimed, but cool relics from the past. If there's any interest at all i'll upload more info with pictures. throw me some suggestions how much could they be worth if i were to sell them here or somewhere else. i have no idea if they are worth 1 sent or 500 euros, what do you think even if your not buying what could be a proper price for them? i have 4, want to sell 2.
I think it depend on how much bitcoin they were loaded.I would advise you to put some photos here and post the coins specifications along with all informations you have in mind when you purchased it.
(Without these information it will be hard to estimate the price)

There may be people interested in buying this for decoration purposes incase you are offering a good price. Also,I have a question.Do you ship worldwide? You accept using an escrow?I'm asking you this because sooner or later interested people would like to know.

Good luck mate  Smiley
780  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-08-29] Dark web finds bitcoin increasingly more of a problem than a help on: August 31, 2017, 07:14:08 AM
If we want strong coin,he must be supported by the government not by criminals.

First of all, only idiots blame the tool for abuse by criminals. Secondly, it was just a matter of time before people dealing in dark webs would make the shift to something like Monero. Bitcoin is a horrible currency tool when it comes to the privacy aspect, and for that reason, I expected the shift to other crypto's to pick up sooner. I some times stumble over the stupidity of people around me, where they talk about how anonymous Bitcoin is, while in fact they completely ignore (due to a lack of knowledge) that everything they do can be easily tracked. And another thing, governments don't actually support Bitcoin at all. In best case scenario, they just regulate and legislate its usage.

Agree, Monero offers more anonymity as compared to bitcoin. Bitcoin is pseudo-anonymous and everything can be track in blockchain, although a mixing services can be used, still its very easy for government to seize the server and get all the necessary logs like I.P. address and relevant info.

Monero on the other hand is different because every transaction is always private. hide where the money comes from. Spent inputs in a transaction are hidden among several others that also appear to be spent. Thus, no one knows which source of money is actually being spent. So if I'm a criminal I would rather use Monero than bitcoin.
Don't forget that criminals using deep web don't use their local IP,they use Tor browser which makes them totally anonymous by having a strong proxy system and features like disabling Java/malicious ads/files/cookies/Html5 etc...
In other words if criminals use mixing services even if the government seize the servers they won't be able to track the criminal if he used Tor browser to use the mixer service.

However it was obvious that they will switch to another cryptocurrency more  anonymous than Bitcoin and less fee consuming. This may be a good thing since Bitcoin need government support, not criminals support.
