Ethereum is younger than bitcoin but ethereum is doing great right now. Its price looks good. But we cant say ethereum is greater than bitcoin. Bitcoin created if im not mistaken 2009? And tested by many years. Ethereum is just started at 2014. We'll see that when ethereum atleast at 5-7 years of operation.

If the bitcoin cannot evolve and solve the block size problem, it will be replaced by more more actively coins.
That could be the reason why the Etherum price has risen so much in the last few weeks. The transaction speed is fast. you have your monitor upside down, flip it upright Did you not see the price of the Ethereum rose from 0.013 to 0.019 in the last few days. The bitcoin price also rose. The ETH price dropped from 0.019 to 0.018 now. The price is still volatile. It needs more investor support. |

Just make sure if you invest into anything ETH related that the foundation guys are also in on it. If there is an issue they will just push the fork and you will not lose anything. Pretty safe coins knowing if anyone messes up you get a do-over!
That is a good advice. The Foundation member can just propose change like you and me, if we (miners) do not agree with that, the proposal is useless. |

I think bitcoin will continue to be a leader crypto coin. however the it, bitcoin is the main initiator of crypto coin. bitcoin has the same strength as the dollar in the real world. I guess etherum not replace bitcoin digital crtpto coin in the world.

Why you all cycled on the scamcoin like ethereum?
I do not think it is a scam coin. It is supported by a big community and it is being developed actively. it might not be a scam coin but it is not supported by a big community. don't mistake a big volume and a huge market cap with support. all those numbers only mean one thing: pump and dump Market cap is a good indication of the popularity of the coin. For example, the bitcoin has $8 billion market cap. At present, there are more strong supporters for bitcoin and Etheruem than most of digital currencies. |

Don't know how this will affect altcoins, specifically ETH mining but Videocardz has a post up about 1080 specs and it breaks down Bitcoin mining vs 980TI and R9 Fury X.
1080 - 1056.438 mHash
980ti - 769.191 mHash
R9 Fury X - 857.575 mHash
If that scales, in theory the 1070 for $380 might beat the R9 Fury X in the above instance.
That is for "bitcoin" mining which does not need much memory access. The Ethereum needs a lot of memory access. |

I buy bitcoins once a month if the price is okay because I do not have a lot of money to spent so only if I can afford it I'm buying bitcoins.
Right now its still possible but if the bitcoin has hit the 500 dollar I will most likely not buy any bitcoins anymore.
at some point you have enough coins and then you can just sit back and enjoy seeing the value of your coins go up. i am doing the same right now. the only reason i buy currently is because i am a trader. this allows me to generate some extra coins while i am holding my other coins safely in offline storage. Do you do range trading at the moment? i.e, you buy at $440 and sell at $460? The price is within a range recently. |

The interesting aspect of that is a man facing some scrutiny over being connected to the panama papers,so not sure if we want him endorsing bitcoin on his way out the door. The banks love blockchain but not bitcoin and the reason they want it is so they can go back to controlling every aspect of our finances.

Although I don't own any ETH yet I think in this year it will become more "stable" regarding prices - just like currently BTC is (but let's see what halving will bring)
The halving will double the price and arouse more interest from people, so the price will rise again. |

I used to buy some small amounts when the price has fallen more than the regular small movements, sometimes the price fall more but sometimes the price recover so I consider it a good type of trading in my opinion.
I usually buy when the price drop a lot. But I keep most of my coins. I will use some I need to buy things. |

When the price going down like 2-3 days ago, i buy some bitcoins and now the bitcoin price increase a bit high and i already sold them all, for now i'm waiting the price going down again.
I think the price will not go down again, unless the Bitcoin Core team rejects the ultimatum issued by the miner and payment processors. There is no big bad news to drive the price down at the moment. Can anybody think of a big bad news? |

When I need and when prices fall  I think the price is quite low at the moment. It is stablizing after last year's big jump. It could rise further this year. |
