Native C++ Miner Update 1.1 R4

binaries and source available here : https://github.com/uraymeiviar/burst-miner/releases
for osx, linux64 and win64

  • capable to read large stagger plot, with manual limit option on memory usage
  • Fix thread race condition, which reported to less nonce read
  • add option of buffer size (MB) in mining.conf to limit memory usage

and also, github automatically give the project website : http://uraymeiviar.github.io/burst-miner/

So, is this only for pool mining at your pool? Or can this solo mine also?
524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient POC Mining | New version 1.1.2 on: September 24, 2014, 12:59:28 AM
For the people that support Burst, please vote at hitbtc and bter. Also, do forget about Cryptsy: https://www.cryptsy.com/coinvotes .

Please stay active in positive promotion of this coin...

Can somebody help me. I'm newbie.
My plots folder is:
6875908045611806854_0_163820_1000
6875908045611806854_163821_163820_1000
6875908045611806854_327642_163820_1000
6875908045611806854_491463_163820_1000
6875908045611806854_655284_163820_1000

Are this plots ok?

I will help you.  Save yourself the aggravation and frustration of trying to mine this crap coin.  Look at its price chart on C-CEX exchange.  The party was over several weeks ago.  Find another coin to mine.

Tim, why the hell are you still here? If the coin sucks so much, leave already.

THIS GOES FOR ANYONE ELSE WHO WANTS TO TALK SHIT ABOUT THE COIN IN THE COIN'S THREAD OR DEDICATED FORUM.

SHUT THE FUCK UP, OR GET THE FUCK OUT.

Leave the coin for the people who actually care to make it better, and do something about it, instead of you idiots who cry about everything and offer nothing in return to assist.

The coin is NEW. The whole system is NEW, the mining style is NEW... there ARE GOING TO BE SOME ISSUES that need to be worked through, but we will get through them.

This coin WILL succeed, and you fools talking shit will realize your error, but honestly, if you think the coin sucks and the time of BURST is over, then sell me your coins, I will buy them all at 50-100 sats and get you out of the game. PM me.

+1

fabula should join him too and who ever else is negative. Out of the 2 years of crypto I've been in, I never understood these Fudders. First off, your just in for profits, so why do you bite the hand that feed you? ie. the dev made a coin you don't even know how to develop and/or code for yourself. Secondly, why do you try to impose this ideal that you can convince people to stop mining/investing in a coin if they believe in it? It's not like your a prophet, money managing pro or anything like that. Come back when your a millionaire, then you can talk all the 5h1t you want. Lastly, you fudders need to know how to be humble and have respect, that goes a long way in life. If you have the understanding that team work is better than "me me" mentality, you will be more successful in life in general. This coin started around 80 sat, you would only know this if you started on day one.

I mined about 350k in coins and still mining until I can't get a block in two days, then I'll just invest/buy only from that point on. I'm in the long term and I also invest in other coins, I will agree that you need to have diversity in cryptos and should have more than one coin invested. This is the same idea in the stock market also with shareholdings.

Who would want to listen someone that plays devil's advocate? Negative people like you need help, there's enough negativity in this world. Go find something positive to do with your time.
527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient POC Mining | New version 1.1.2 on: September 22, 2014, 08:29:37 AM
according to:

https://bchain.info/BURST/tools/calculator

Code:
Coins per hour	361 (0.001 BTC)
Coins per day 8664 (0.013 BTC)
Coins per month 259926 (0.392 BTC)
Estimated network size 4737 TB

never see this reward!!!
so, i think to stop mining too...

and i think this coin never see 500sat again...

the dev have not a planning for the futures..
EXCUSE ME!!!

The dev is planning LOTS of features!!! Don't even think of putting this on the dev, he is AMAZING!!!

hem hem... but if dev is planning a LOTS of features WHY HE DONT GIVE US A SHINING PLAN WITH FEATURES AND ETA!!!!

he did give it, on the op, you just only know how to complain but not willing to take a look at op, and i can bet that you didn't take a time give a vote to bter or hitbtc, right? you just want to wait the price grow and sell , but not willing to give a little time to promote or vote..

Advanced transactions(escrow, subscription, reserve funds then transfer not yet known portion later)
BurstId authentication system
Allow linking BurstId to burst account for transfers with spending limits.
DHT for off-chain services
Off-chain encrypted messaging and voip between burstid accounts
File storage(disclaimer: still figuring out a good way to do this. this will take a while.)

If 2 or 3 market makers can be convinced to vote Burst onto hitbtc, that would get it on there faster than regular voting. I just don't know who are the market makers on hitbtc.
528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient POC Mining | New version 1.1.2 on: September 22, 2014, 07:08:49 AM
ANNOUNCEMENT:

I have stopped mining this piece of shit crapcoin.  I hadn't had a payout for DAYS with 10.43 TB of disk space pimping away, I was tired of the piece of crap Java miner hogging 9 GB of ram for two instances of mining, I'm tired of the developers' half-assed miner and having to do half the programming work just to compile and run the damn thing.

My 4 3TB Seagate Barracuda hard drives are on ebay right now for a VERY fair $340 and free shipping in the USA.

Furthermore, I predict that this crapcoin will never see 500 satoshis again.  Anyone who tries to talk it up by saying things like "to da mooooooon", is a fool, an idiot, and a moron.

So screw this crapcoin and everything about it.

Basically whe you say screw everything about this coin you are telling us all to f*ck off...
Thats not very nice of you.

This dude it funny, it's like 99% of the time complaining and insulting the coin. I hope he doesn't treat his customers this way either.

I got 3x 3TB used for $120 on CL and they are still running fine. I average 2 to 3 blocks a day with 25TB solo mining. This isn't a crap coin, go look at CNL, that's an example of a crap coin.

If certain people don't like this coin, then get out of this thread and go make your own dam coin then.
529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient POC Mining | New version 1.1.2 on: September 20, 2014, 10:23:21 PM
Could someone please point me to the code in the published pool miner which allows the pool owner to submit a reward-assigned block to the local wallet?

Id/nonce/passphrase is submitted the wallet with submitNonce.
submitNonce takes 2 or 3 parameters: secretPhrase, nonce, acctountId
If solo mining, secretPhrase and nonce are sufficient.
If pool mining, the pool's secretPhrase is submitted, and the miner(who is reward assigned to the pool)'s accountIt is sent along.

The wallet returns json with 1 or 2 fields: result is a string. if result is "success", deadline is also present

The wallet will store work submitted to it, and automatically create a block when one of the deadlines it has reach 0.

I have a couple questions: How do we know what deadline time we have when we find a block solo mining? I guess what I mean is, where can we find details on each block found with the deadline time?

As long as the AMD has AVX/AVX2, it should do very well with the optimized cpu plotter. Very impressive that it does gpu plotting speed on certain cpus.

It's been a while since I posted this, but if people want to contribute to data mining data and/or look at peoples results: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uaXMLjLt90Ms1oRjcjz-eYPOkARtNS8JdrKFKOJdg4o/edit?pli=1#gid=0

I just updated the spreadseet with my recent changes, and put in a freeze header and colums to make it easier to navigate.

I did a similar sheet, concentrating on plot generation speed, cpu and cores etc.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1XxyQ1eH2oL4QKfxHkSFHHCGOGaE1FEPDnBt2WbA_oE4/edit?usp=sharing

btw. got a block this morning at 39s, that was a fast one, now i have 3 since i started solo mining. 6,8TB plotted now. 5*4TB USB3 disks on its way from the retailer, that ought to increase my blocks/week.

I should have freeze the row with the usernames, forgot about that and thanks for doing it. I never got a block with a time lower than 101s.

Burst will likely fall to 50 satoshi by Saturday and then 0 sat by the end of next week. Cut your loss now before its too late
Feed the whales and regret your decision in few months

You are so right in all what you write here. I was very close to just selling ALL my burst and buy some more harddisks.. but then i decided just to buy some more harddisks. This is the most expensive coin ever i mined - i mean - 20TB doesn't come cheap, and the CPU power cost from plotting is staggering. Before You know it, you are trading with other burst users directly from your wallet and that is where the world comes apart for good ;-)

Everyone please sell and scare the weak miners away due to no apparent profitabillity, so i can get some more blocks before it gets too difficult.

Haha, your funny....

10.43 TB mining and I haven't gotten a GODDAMN single coin in four days!!!  WTF!!!

Pool or solo ?

I have 25TB, I find between 2 to 3 blocks a day on average solo mining.

what your stagger optimization?

I didn't run the optimization yet, since I have two incomplete plots and my plots are larger than 4TB. I split one with 5.5TB, because the PC rebooted when the miner crashed and had to make the second part starting at a new start point. And the other I split 8TB and 6.5TB, same issue and solution. I get a few errors with the incomplete plots, but still finding blocks ok. Maybe down the line, I'll redo the incomplete plots and do the optimization afterwards.

Could you join http://burstpool.ddns.net
We need more miners there. The other pools are overcrowded.

I might join your pool or uray's once I get less than a block a day....

I really dont get it ... why dont the bagholders buy the coin at this price ? I have already buy more then 300k BURST ... it is the first coin that can be mined with HDD and looks like nobody care about low energy bills ... everyone like to pay a lot of $ ...
because look how many coins are produced every day Wink

BURST will never come back to 500 satoshi.
My 2 cents.

lol, no offense, but your 2 cents are WAY off.

I will be buying as soon as I possibly can, Just had to shell out 4 thousand dollars, so my cash is a little low right now. But trust me, I would totally be buying if I had extra btc lying around.

fabula doesn't understand that Alibaba IPO has Chinese investors selling their cryptos for the stock. The stock open 40% higher than the IPO price and rising.

To fabula, are you a professional analyst and/or a business economics professional? You can never foretell the rise and fall of prices, if it was easy, then everyone would be rich.

And where this new version of dcct merge for windows? )

+1 on this

The windows-binary "optimize.exe" is now included in the archive. Look in "bin".

Where's the link for the download please?

https://bchain.info/dcct_miner.tgz

inside "bin"

Thank you...

Burst isn't the only coin on a downtrend, BTC and others are too

It's worth remembering some of the EPIC crashes BTC/USD has gone through, too. Smiley

I've been through a couple and I'm still here...lol

It's no different than the Stock Market, downtrends and up trends happens constantly. Just like cryptos, people spread the same type of Fud in the Stock Market too.
540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient POC Mining | New version 1.1.2 on: September 18, 2014, 08:38:37 PM
if any clone apeard we need to build plot again?Huh Grin Grin

Probably yes.
BURST was a good coin. Let's look forward for a new ones with better features.

I'm getting tired of you and timk225 Fudding this coin, or anyone else. If you don't have anything positive to contribute to the coin, then please leave the thread. Burst isn't the only coin on a downtrend, BTC and others are too. Was a good coin? It's still is and will be a good coin for the future. I wouldn't want people like you on a team, quitters and selfish. Help yourself and go get some self improvement lessons about humanity and being humble.
