The link you posted is broken, and I cant find any app by searching "bitcoin forum" on the google play store

I believe the link he wanted to post is https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.elbandi.forum.bitcointalk

I am not sure if this was discussed in the thread previously. But the transaction sent to fsh had a note attached as this link: https://privatepaste.com/e49b2d1ebf.

Yup, it has been brought to our attention in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=745422.msg9180655#msg9180655 Smiley

Kudos to the people doxxing DMF. I am 99.99% sure that is the only reason you got (part of) your bitcoin back.
hey i'm the one who started the witchhunt on behalf of steve & others at moneypot so if ya'll wanna shoot me some dust it's much appreciated!
If I have invested money in the site and lost it, I would probably be happy to share my refund with you.
Unfortunately to you, fortunately to me, I am not an investor and you'd better wait for tips from the others. Smiley
523  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular Bitcoin Game |1% Edge | PVP | Jackpot | Faucet on: October 13, 2014, 04:37:27 PM
Stunna, have you done analysis on the faucet claims like how many claims are made by real bettors (those deposited and played regularly) and how many claims are made by leechers (those never deposited but just played with faucet again and again)?
524  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★ MultiDice ★ Multi Coin Dice Game Temporarily Shutting Down on: October 13, 2014, 04:22:04 PM
Not a good way to handle left over balances, multidice. Many people have dormant accounts with balances > 0, I imagine.

Why? How would you handle this situation then? We said we will cover all leftover balances from our own pocket if users come and claim them, is that not good enough?

Well when Seketsuna and marcotheminer made their posts, I am afraid you hadn't said "we can cover that from our own pocket" yet.
Instead, you had only said "All coins left will be donated to developers." at that moment.

With your new clarification, it is definitely good enough IMO.  Smiley

Update: I just had 0.5 BTC show up in my emergency address

https://blockchain.info/tx/58bc687c2da304bb5d3dee003c8cebb9366fb2373a8c3b2b7857ff8960eb7b4b

This is 1/100th of what they owe me...

I received 10% of my balance (roughly) to my emergency address:

For those getting refund, are the bitcoin coming from 1QAitJvHj5GqzLW6pmheGXTctEwCWR9sNi as well? If so, they have only prepared 30 btc...
526  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just a question on: October 13, 2014, 04:06:38 PM
Its the early adopters you gotta worry about.

Early adopters getting a significant % of coins isn't a problem IMHO as long as the launch has been published in advance.

I mean, quite a number of bitcoin early adopters have (or had) a good amount of bitcoin in their hands, but is bitcoin premined? Nope. Grin

Well done LB for hitting the 10000 btc milestone.

BTW, I didn't expect to see a pizza pic in the thread and now you make me want to order a pizza lol.
528  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Coin-Profiters - HYIP Bitcoin Investments Done Right on: October 13, 2014, 03:55:33 PM
While I appreciate that you acknowledge your site as an hyip rather than claiming to be a gifted trader, I wouldn't try it myself or suggest others to try it.

Good luck promoting your "service" and good luck to those gambling their bitcoin in it.

530  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Online or Desktop Wallet? on: October 13, 2014, 03:46:22 PM
I'm new into crypto currency and was wondering which wallet I should use in terms of security.

Desktop wallet are far more secure, well that mostly depends on you, but I use blockchains wallet. It's secure, simple and I'm not changing it. What wallet are you using atm?

I am using poloniex and block.io for now. But I was getting paranoid as my coins starts to grow. Additionally, I was having a trouble to log in on poloniex and my password was (or that's what I think) resetted itself or something.

Storing your coins (especially when you have a significant amount of them) on an exchange is a bad idea, as you don't have the private keys. The exchange could have disappeared at any moment like mtgox, and so it is better to store your coins in a personal wallet.
531  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiBear Faucet: Win up to 10,000 Satoshi Hourly. on: October 13, 2014, 03:40:41 PM
I tried this and entered my Coinbase wallet address and when I submitted it, it told me that it was sending 66 satoshi to my "micro wallet" address.  I'm not sure what that means, but it was close to an hour ago and I never received any kind of notification that anything went into my account.  I will also not waste my time on this anymore since even 66 satoshi is just a fraction of one cent.
whats the minimum, you need to withdraw.

Microwallet (official thread on bitcointalk https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=348060.0) is a system made to group your faucet payments together.

The min withdrawal limit for microwallet should be 5825 satoshi.
532  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just a question on: October 13, 2014, 03:36:13 PM
I've never understood what premining actually does and how it affects the coin. I know it's bad but what it really does? Cheesy

In simple words, "premining" means the developers mined a certain % of coins before launching the coin to the public. Those premined coins may be used for giveaway, bounty, or the developers just want to get rich when the coin is listed in an exchange.
533  Other / New forum software / Re: Newbie Restrictions Should Return on: October 13, 2014, 03:31:03 PM
The newbie 'jail' has to come back, at least for sections such as lending and gambling (or even the entire of marketplace).

The number of brand new users who ask for loans, claim giveaways or post carelessly in these areas is getting over the top.

I suggest the following:
- You must be a Jr. Member with an activity of 42 to post in the above sections.
- You may still browse the sections but not post in them until the requirement of above has been fulfilled.

But then we shouldn't block newbies genuinely asking for loans with suitable collateral, or lending out bitcoin to the others, or advertising their own business (selling goods, services, a new dice site, whatever), or asking for/sharing advice in service discussion right?  Huh
534  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie All-Day - Ask All Your Bitcoin Questions Here! on: October 13, 2014, 03:00:29 PM
I am new to bitcoin and I am trying to pay my activation fee for v-m in usd. I need help

Welcome to the bitcoin world.

Could you be more specific about your problem?
Are your v-m provider accepting bitcoin payment and you have problem buying bitcoin or sending bitcoin?
535  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitcoin core (qt) question on: October 13, 2014, 02:51:31 PM
One more question. Is bitcoin-qt just another bitcoin wallet, or does the client also make your computer a node on the Bitcoin network, thus offering your computing power and memory as peer-to-peer resources for the network and extending its backbone?

Bitcoin-QT is a wallet, a very secure wallet. It downloads the entire blockchain has a stronger backbone compared to other wallets.
It is not a node though.

If you want to run a full node, just run bitcoin-qt and forward port 8333 on your machine. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=128122.0
The CPU usage and RAM usage would be pretty low, but then you should notice a big jump in your bandwidth usage. Smiley
536  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Online wallet ? on: October 13, 2014, 02:43:54 PM
yes bitcoin core is the BEST, (correct me if i am wrong)
BUT
you have to download more than 20 gigabytes of data (blockchain) and
ALSO
every time you want to send or update your wallet to see how much you own (except for checking it online) you need to update bitcoincore and it might take a while

I would say bitcoin core is one of the best, because some people value security the most while some prefer to have a convenient set up.

The current blockchain is over 26 GB already.

We have about 140 new blocks a day, average block size is about 300 KB (https://btc.blockr.io/charts), and so if you open the bitcoin core program once a week, you should prepare to download roughly 294 MB of data every time.

537  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If bitcoin was real coins, Would you pick 1500 satoshis off the ground? on: October 13, 2014, 02:25:16 PM
Same here, I would bend down to take the coin as it is just going to cost me a few seconds at most.
Now the question is, when are you going to drop your bitcoin in front of me lol? Tongue
538  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: i wanna download electrum (HELP!) on: October 13, 2014, 02:17:10 PM
Electrum may NOT be the most secure, but it's one of the most convenient Desktop Wallets.

Great for daily spending (1BTC stored at most)
what are the risks about it? why is it not the most secure?

The answer is simply because there are wallets more secure than Electrum.
For example, your bitcoin on Trezor will still be safe even if you use it on a compromised computer.
539  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie Here :) on: October 13, 2014, 02:09:22 PM
I can also recommend to use signature campaigns for some Bitcoins:)

This will help you:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0

Signature campaigns are great once you get to a Member level or above, but they're not very profitable for newbs. It's worth investing some time into this site so you can achieve a higher rank to join in with some of the others. Once you hit senior 0.1 for 50 posts is very good imo.

But then it is not as easy as in the past to find a spot in the signature campaign as most of the campaigns are full already.

Good Morning everybody Smiley
I am new here in this forum and I just started earning bitcoin last week.
Here are my sources of bitcoin:
tf.org
bitlanders.com

I just wanna have some more faucets & PTC sites(bitcoin) to earn some decent amount of bitcoin.
Please comment all your legit reccomendations.
Thanks in advance to those who'll help me.

Wow... What a scam!
It's not a smart way to promote websites like this. At least you can be honest and just list the advantages of tf.org and bitlanders.com. That will do way better than this.

I don't think he was trying to promote the two sites.
He doesn't use ref links, and haven't mentioned anything about the site (like saying they pay great). Smiley

BTW, what exactly is that tf.org site? It just shows me a blank page.
