When Argentina managed to score 2-0, I thought the match was already over, I trusted the Argentinian defense will be enough to avoid french goals. I was wrong, this match was not suitable for those with heart problems.
In the end, France showed its value and anyone could win this final, I am glad Argentina got the cup.
This is a big accomplishment for South-american football, Maradona would be proud.
It's indeed one of the best football final ever. The french first half substitute really made a difference and help to bring them back in the game and Mbappe was terrific, the player of the game for me. Mbappe fight messi and the person that give mbappe room to perform well is coman and without that mbappe wouldn't have perform well, so France players was not playing well for the first half but immediately the second half and substitution start, it's when France had a relief and started playing well, how i wish they played well in the first half either they would have defeated Argentina, because the second was very terrible to Argentina. despite Mbappe score a hatric but this all went in vein . . he was so sad that it was hard for him to walk up the stage to get the golden boot award. If France didn't make that magical comeback this finale was going to be a really boring one. Because very interestingly Argentina dominated the whole game until a point. France had their first goal attempt after 70 minutes. But despite this horrible performance, that penalty brought them back to life. Mbappe's very quick second goal changed everything. Argentina could have still finished it in extra time but there was another penalty.
If Argentina didn't still defeat them by penalties, Otamendi and Montiel were going to be at fault for that result for sure. The goalkeeper Martinez also deserved to be the player of the game I think. Because he saved two penalties in the penalty shootouts.
It really was a match of penalties. First it was that Argentinian foul that was completely unnecessary and got France their first goal and then they had a second one after that "Argentinian hand job" by Montiel which also was a bad, unneeded mistake. It felt like Argentina was working hard and then giving away the advantage by making stupid fouls and getting penalized. In the match between Morocco and France, Mbappe and Hakimi face each other, normally PSG teammates. There seems to be a very good midfielder in Morocco, he is also compared to Modric. Whether he is really that good, we will see against France. That's a good measure of strength. Absolutely agree with you that Argentina will beat Croatia and will move to final but the opponent will not be France according to view, because Morocco got a momentum by winning continuously, and they Morocco player has high moral and confidence because they beat the big name in world cup like Spain and Portugal, while France are not in his colour because against england they are off colour and didn't show any aggression but due to bad luck of England they won.

It's insane, I know, but seeing so many "favorite" teams lose to teams that we didn't even imagine would make it this far, I see that the dispute of the final between these two teams is not so unlikely asism to happen. Morocco is currently beating Portugal, so this is no longer an unlikely scenario to happen. Croatia managed to dominate the first half of the game and demonstrate superiority to Brazil, managed to hold the score in the second half. With a lot of determination, they tied in overtime and took the decision to penalties. There are no more small teams in this world cup, anyone can lift this trophy.
