521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v3.0 on: April 19, 2016, 09:15:25 PM
[
Plugged in a MSI R9 270X 4GB , cleared the DAGs, shutdown booted up
getting 14.5 MH on vers 3.

Starting to get there.

Are you using any special settings? Overclocking?

Sorry, working while trying to add third card, took me a while to get back.
Nothing special at all, only the switch to run 3 cards.
All box stock

The MSI R9 270X 4 gb running 14.605 ~ 14.610 each
The old MSI HD 7850 2 gb running 12.590~12.602

Man I wish I'd never sold the other three MSI HD 7850's, just had single 6 pin and seem to do oK mining ETH.
Running out of connectors to run these newer cards each two six pins.
Also, don't remember having to connect the risers to power....there goes another spot on the PSU.
BTW, PSU is Seasonic 850W Gold

@gagana - when the miner boots it identifies GPU "0" in the beggining...next software start look for it.
522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v3.0 on: April 19, 2016, 07:10:21 PM

I tested v2.0 and v3.0 on stock 270 and v3.0 is faster in both dual and non-dual modes:
v2.0: mode -0 11.5MH, mode -1 12.8MH.
v3.0: mode -0 13.2MH, mode -1 13.5MH.

Probably you use not 15.12 drivers.

Just got my other two cards in, pulled the asus R9 270X 2GB from the riser.
Plugged in a MSI R9 270X 4GB , cleared the DAGs, shutdown booted up
getting 14.5 MH on vers 3.
Just have to hook its brother up....(now where's those other risers)  Tongue

Starting to get there.
523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v3.0 on: April 19, 2016, 06:12:40 PM
@Claymore:

What exactly is the effect of the "-etha" option on mixed rigs? I have a mix of 270x, 7870 and 7950. Are these all slow or are the 7950 "fast" for being Tahiti?

Or is it better to leave the miner in the default configuration to autodetect the optimal settings?

I just installed, cleared my dag files. Left everything default.
Miner started in etha -1 for slower cards. (auto is default)
results
asus R9 270X 2 gb 13.327 to 13.308
msi HD 7850  2 gb 12.283 to 12.600

mining at ethermine.org and mining ethereum only

So I'm kind of meh.
New to ethereum mining ( but to gpu mining and tweaks that can be done) in just last few days.
Going to try some different pools and such.
524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v2.0 on: April 18, 2016, 05:36:00 PM
The bat file must include:

Code:
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

Good luck

Thank you for this. I'm working so it took a little longer.
Made the changes and the first time same result, the set X commands worked. But dag file (even though I had cleared both) still had buffer size problems.
I cleared again and shut down and rebooted system (I had read somewhere that changes to the bat file a restart was needed)

It not only started with miners connecting and now showing work (connected before but didn't start hashing).......
but the dag files both built 100%

Everything is stock on gPU and out of the box basic on the miner software.
eth speed 11.23 mh
dcr 168.2 mh

Running over an hour and 0 rejects.

At this point I wasn't so concerned with speed but getting everthing working
After I get the two R9 270X 4 GB in ...we'll start some tweaks.
Again,....Thank you so much for your help!  Cool
525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v2.0 on: April 18, 2016, 03:03:57 PM
Thought I would get things working with a single HD 7950 2gb. Have two R9 270X 4gb on the way.
When adding :

"GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100"

The miner loads but says none of the cl commands are recognized.
Then the dag file buffer cannot be created and dag file runs out of space.

I've searched and searched. it seems to be connected to a memory limit on the card. One that would be corrected by the commands above.
bTW AMD drivers are 15.12

At this point I'm out of ideas.
Thanks for nay help or opinions.

@ giantkin True dat....obviously, like many others that just wander in.....HeroCat doesn't know verge's history.
Just another BCT user with a scammy banner ad in their sig promising big profits trading binaries?
Yeah right.  Roll Eyes
Prolly doesn't own any verge anyway.
527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XVG] Verge - Speculation & Discussion on: April 17, 2016, 01:14:51 PM
By break out I meant at least go back in the 28~35 sat range, Cool
... then in 6 months?. Who knows?
528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XVG] Verge - Speculation & Discussion on: April 17, 2016, 11:23:38 AM
Well, the sells this morning are finally down to total 10 BtC or so at 20 sats and below. I hope were done bouncing from 16 to occansional 20. I'm totally freaking bought out mostly 16 and 17.
Today ....just might...be the day XVG will break out.  Grin

Awesome! looking forward to trying x17 mining. Have a great weekend Dev!

Me too....Have a few cards coming next week and going to split between eth and verge on X17. Used to do gpu's in the old days.  Cool

Already has a long coin list....many mainstream.

edit today @ 4:25 EST.....and another newer one gaining popularity.....old exchanges are so loaded with whales and bots....this might be the best of the lot.

Turn off the auto and confirm with pool operator they're on new wallet.
THEN test with a thousand or so to confirm works.
That's what I would do.....don't be a slave to an auto setting.  Roll Eyes

@ Zied RF

Welcome to Verge/XVG......originally the coin was started as doge-dark or doged back in Oct 2014.
The name change came earlier this year.
As you see different different pools and exchanges you will see some that have not done all their name changes in parts of their site. The name is pretty much interchangable.

Just be SURE that they have migrated to the latest wallet, as the old wallets don't work anymore.

Keep on minin'  Cool

@Dev - several days since the hard fork, and not one block chain lockup. Thank you, thank you Thank you!  Smiley
Mining is smooth and transfers fast.
Closing in on next update.
Who do you suppose "Hashinator" is bothering now?

Take  look at yobit's BCT thread......it isn't pretty.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=914975.msg14538855#msg14538855

quote from above post -
"Stay away from YoBit. They stole my DCR which is now stuck in a forever pending "withdrawal". No reply from support.

It should also be noted that many of their wallets will go into perpetual "maintenance" leaving you only the option to sell your coins at a loss, or to lose them entirely. I ran a bot that traded from/to yobit and had to manually disable many coins that are in "maintenance". Enjoy the list:
         blacklist = [
"CUBE", "XCO", "NKA", "GENE", "8BIT", "SUPER", "BSC", "TES", "SONG", "MND", "RMS", "IOC", "SDC", "DNET", "OK", "CIRC", "DROP", "XVG", "GSY", # wallet maintenance
         "XQN" # delayed
         ]

Their site is basically unmaintained and waiting to die. In the meantime, they're trying to squeeze all the money they can out of the few users that are left with shady practices (ponzi coins, selling LISK IOU's against the will of the developer)."

536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Introducing Francs FRN. Leading the Revolution. on: April 14, 2016, 09:16:43 PM
@LawBC - just a heads up. I also mine and invest in Verge (XVG). After a recent fork, yobit has been totally unresponsive to the dev and the verge community leaving a bunch of coins stuck on the exchange as their wallet is now on the wrong blockchain.

Reading the yobit thread here on BCT.....you'll see alot of problems that seem to go unanswered.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=914975.msg14538855#msg14538855

my advice...fwiw....find at least TWO other decent exchanges...before problems at YoBit hurt your coin.
yobit was always a rather secondary exchange.
Take a look at what happened to many coins that had just cryptsy as their exchange.
Please make it a priority to do what ever it takes to get at least two if not more exchanges.
537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [$XVG] VERGE [POW][MultiAlgo][BLACKHOLE][Entire Line of TOR/i2P Resources] on: April 14, 2016, 08:58:12 PM
i've removed yobit from our OP and website.

again, please do not try to withdraw or deposit verge on yobit. they never updated, and are on the wrong chain, and they are oblivious to their customer support tickets, emails, and tweets.

Good move Dev, I dumped my verge there and was able to withdraw BtC.
Hope others do the same, dump it and move btC or buy another coin and move that.
I'm done with them.
538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [$XVG] VERGE [POW][MultiAlgo][BLACKHOLE][Entire Line of TOR/i2P Resources] on: April 14, 2016, 06:57:08 PM
Let us know if you get the BTC out. GL

Well, that went well. Sold into buys from 26 down to 20 sats. BtC withdrawal went as expected and is confirming as I write.

Now I can buy more at a REAL exchange.

@giantkin - exchanges that use 2fA will send a text with code or some you  use the new code from Google Auth. Yobit was the only one I use that didn't have 2fa setup. Just way down my list of exchanges I use.

@DeadBirdzz - someone in the exchange trollbox told me the wallet was in maintenance and suggested selling and withdraw BtC. Remember cryptsy he said?.....That was all it took. I lost my butt trading things at crapsy to coins I could withdrawl. 50 LtC, a little BtC and others I can't remember. Mostly to potcoin....you could get it out at a big loss. Bastards.

All things considered....went pretty well. Cool
539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [$XVG] VERGE [POW][MultiAlgo][BLACKHOLE][Entire Line of TOR/i2P Resources] on: April 14, 2016, 06:23:58 PM
OH shit, I have 500,000 there....I better sell and convert and gtfu out

-edit sold 'em all , didn't want to risk losing all, of course now its a question of getting $40 bucks worth of BtC out.
Rinky dink exchange anyway. Grin

I hope the buyers aren't screwed.

Oh, and this IS an exchange that confirms withdrawals by email ....don't forget, its easy to do.
