521  Economy / Gambling / Any more Skill-based services like this? on: November 30, 2015, 02:57:48 PM
I am really into gambling because it's fun to test your luck, but I have been playing that Battlecoin game, which is a game where you bet money and other players bet too and make a pot, then you play a match of Bomberman and winner takes it all. Are there are any other games like this that aren't 100% luck? Also what do you think of 100% luck games (pure gamble) vs skill based games? I just like some variety sometimes from dicing and casino type games.
522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Guns from the Paris Attacks, bought using Bitcoin ? on: November 30, 2015, 02:54:15 PM
It's simply propaganda to try to keep people away from Bitcoin... pay attention to mainstream media, you are going to see more and more stuff coming being negative to Bitcoin in this fashion. Of course they will never address the fact goverment distributed fiat money is an absolutely scam and that it is the real ponzi and not Bitcoin. You should use this to keep taking advantage of the early adopter phase which will be extended to at least 2 more years.
523  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS BETTER THAN WESTERN UNION ? on: November 30, 2015, 02:41:20 PM
You are right when it comes to localbitcoins. But what if in many places in the world there are ATM's that support fiat to Bitcoin and vice versa. If you send some one $1000 worth of Bitcoin with a 0.0001 BTC fee, and the receiver can cash out his coins for fiat in a Bitcoin accepted ATM against a 0.1% fee for example, then it is definitely cheaper.

you actually think that ATM's are only 0.1% fee..
seriously check them out and do a example calculation, especially checking out the spread.. as that is always a hidden difference.

for instance
lets say the prices of bitcoin are:
$330 - bitfinex
$320 -btc-e
$325 - coinbase.

an ATM allows you to buys at bitfinex rate and sell your bitcoin at BTC-e rate..remember, spread is not fee.. so they can play with spread and not even mention fee.. but then separately add on a 0.1% fee after

so say you had $330.33 you would get 1bitcoin.. but then sell it from the exact same ATM machine. you would only get $319.68 back ($10.65 loss) and thats before playing with the volatility of different fiat currency valuations

Let's not forget here that the ultimate goal and point for Bitcoin to exists is for merchants to accept Bitcoin so you don't need to convert to any other currency. This is the whole thing and the real deal: Once you are able to get paid in Bitcoin, and once you are able to buy anything you need with Bitcoin anywhere in the world, it will be pointless to convert to fiat currencies. This is where we should be aiming at.
524  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Economists suggest small Bitcoin reserve on: November 30, 2015, 02:37:22 PM
I have been under the impression for a while that the entire Chinese nation being filled with the best farms in the game can't be a coincidence, and that those big farms are basically state funded undercover mining operations and the goverment is keeping a certain % of the gains made in those mines as a reserve vault. These guys are too smart to miss on the up and coming Bitcoin race.
525  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in 2015: Why did bitcoin fail? on: November 30, 2015, 02:34:16 PM
I don't know exactly how it works but if there's more like me who only sells bitcoin and has no plan of buying then it will probably fail.

The more people that are interested to buy the more the price will increase, from the past week i see that the bitcoin price has been increased for more than 60 USD

Yes, that's what I thought. I can't figure out exactly if bitcoin applies under the law of supply and demand but I know having more sellers than buyers will eventually drop the price of it. As of 2015, price maybe not good as 2014 but bitcoin did not fail.

Supply and demand also says that if the buying pressure stays the same within the next months (next 6 months until the halving) then the price in theory should double as the release of new coins will shrink by getting divided by 2. I would advice everyone that is a hardcore Bitcoin believer to have at least the equivalent of the next halving reward (12,5 BTC) by June.

Something I don't understand is: why are you asking for people's Bitcoin address if you are going to pay them on the actual website?
I would rather get paid on my address directly btw.

How do you know that the address the people is giving you is an address generated on the website on generated on their local wallets? For example I gave you an address that I generated in my wallet to get paid directly so I don't have to withdraw. I don't really know what you are asking when you said "Bitcoin address" anyway. Im under the impression that a lot of people gave you addresses that they generated on their local wallets and not the site's wallets.

Im interested to know this too.. I gave an address generated on my personal wallet, not on fastdice's wallet. I don't want any problems in the payday.

So the campaign is over. Can we remove our signatures safely? I don't want bullshit later about how I changed my signature so I don't get paid. The campaing ended yesterday for it's last term. Btw, the google spreadsheet is still empty for the last term 21st to 27th November period)
530  Economy / Economics / Re: What's your guess on the price of bitcoin for Jan 2016 and July 2016? on: November 25, 2015, 03:27:27 PM
We are headed towards a massive pump by around june 2016, I am afraid we are under the last chances to get sub 4 figure BTC's and it's only around 7 months away, so what im going to do is continue to buy BTC monthly hoping that the price stays under 4 figures for as long as possible so I can reach my goal.
531  Economy / Economics / Re: Thoughts on "holding" Bitcoin on: November 25, 2015, 03:09:23 PM
The people that get paid in Bitcoin directly tend to use it way more frequently because it's simply more convenient, but all this convenience of use goes to hell when you have to buy it with fiat. Therefore, to see more daily Bitcoin usage we need people getting paid directly in Bitcoin, they you will see it being used everywhere.
532  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Armory vs Trezor on: November 25, 2015, 03:06:41 PM
The point of Trezor or any hardware wallet really is that you don't have to worry about keeping your OS secure, up to date and with up to date firewalls and antiviruses (if you are using Windows).

With hardware wallets this is isolated, so you aren't at a constant risk.
533  Economy / Gambling / Re: Battlecoin.org - Multiplayer bomberman clone on: November 25, 2015, 03:01:30 PM
I just played my first game and this is absolutely fantastic. I can see the potential games like this has thanks to the new paradigm BTC brings, we can make tiny bets, or insanely big bets instantly. I would love a way to keep up with updates, to see what's being improved. From what I gathered, the first priority should be to make the controls feel more responsive due lag issues.
534  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you buying bitcoins? Why? on: November 25, 2015, 02:55:39 PM
If you see the potential you have to why, is not even an option not to buy, it's obligatory that you do so. If you aren't buying Bitcoin right now, you are the idiot that doesn't see the elephant in the room, and it does feel good being in the minority of the people that see the obvious, it just means we are ahead of the dumbed down pack.
535  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin ever goes mainstream on: November 25, 2015, 02:53:55 PM
The true Bitcoin economy is p2p, that is, creating an address and start accepting payment yourself directly from your customers, fans, or whatever that is that you do. That's the whole point. I couldn't care less what those payment processing companies do or if they go bankrupt.
536  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Former bitcoin companies are erasing their embarrassing 'bit's - The Guardian on: November 25, 2015, 02:52:17 PM
The banking industry is suicidal about Bitcoin disrupting their status quo ponzi scheme and want to make Bitcoin as irrelevnat as possible. To bad that a blockchain without Bitcoin is as stupid as a car without wheels. They are just dealing with it the only way they can: by pretending it's not happening, but when they realize it's happening it will be too late.
537  Economy / Exchanges / Re: OKCoin locks U.S. customers futures trading accounts on: November 25, 2015, 02:04:51 PM
Well that sucks, that's why I never leave coins outside my wallet. Also I couldn't take the mental pressure of dealing with leverage, yes you can make a lot of money but you can end up in debt and I got into Bitcoin to get rid of debt for life so I will stay away from anything that can put me in such scenario.
538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best investment? on: November 25, 2015, 02:01:38 PM
I think right now the best investment anyone can do is buying Bitcoin. Unless you know what you are doing chances are you will screw up trying to find for a legit IPO specially in the crypto world. By investing in Bitcoin you indirectly help everyone involved at the same time so you have more winning tickets in your hand.
539  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] COINUT.COM ★ Signature Campaign ★ Pay per post ★ Weekly ★ on: November 25, 2015, 01:52:37 PM
Withdrawing is way too slow. The fact that it requires manual processing is laughable in the Bitcoin world where things are supposed to be automated. You should consider making them faster, it has been 2 days since I processed a withdraw and im still waiting.
540  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10,000usd/btc or bust on: November 23, 2015, 06:02:26 PM
If the price is not at $10k in 10 years, it means the experiment with bitcoin has failed. So the price will be 0.

It should be way higher than 10K if it's a success.. there's way too much money out there that could flock into the BTC ecosystem that would drive it absolutely nuts. Right now it's very small marketcap which means the price can go high really fast. When governments kill cash BTC will go to 100K+ per coin.
