521  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: July 13, 2016, 02:19:38 AM
Oh there is a big difference between both:
You can actually produce gold :3

I mean btc is all virtual whereas you can physically produce gold.
Ok it's not everyone but you got some jobs that do exactly that!

the same of both of them is we can use it as investment, i think the real answer is "Where would you choose to invest your money gold or bitcoin?"
522  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin worth to you or not... on: July 13, 2016, 02:14:36 AM
Yes it will always worth for me
Cause in bitcoin we dont need to store any private info not like using bank or another online pament, also when i send fund to someone in another country, it takes only small fee imagine if send it using wire transfer
LOL i cant imagine that

Well for sure all of us will say that bitcoin really worth for us and I don't know if someone is going to say here in forum that bitcoin is not worth at all as they are already in the bitcoin forum and going to waste their time just to say that here.
That's the good thing about bitcoin is the security.

maybe he just want to troll and make people doubt with bitcoin then panic sell and he can buying bitcoin at lowest price Roll Eyes

this is how pumper work
523  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-13-07] Blockchain company SolidX files with SEC for new Bitcoin ETF on: July 13, 2016, 01:56:40 AM
SolidX Partners Inc., a New York based blockchain technology company, today announced that it has filed a registration statement on Form S-1 with the Securities and Exchange Commission relating to the proposed launch of the SolidX Bitcoin Trust.

The ETF will seek to provide shareholders with exposure to the daily change in the U.S. dollar price of bitcoin, before expenses and liabilities of the Trust, as measured by the TradeBlock XBX Index.

The Trust’s assets will consist of bitcoin, an asset that can be transferred among parties via the Internet, but without the use of a central administrator or clearing agency. The Trust will occasionally hold cash for short periods in connection with the purchase and sale of bitcoin, and to pay Trust expenses.

The Trust will not be actively managed, and will list on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “XBTC.”  The Shares will trade on NYSE Arca and provide shareholders with indirect exposure to the price of bitcoin.

524  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-07-13] Belgian Authority Warns Against Using OneCoin on: July 13, 2016, 12:09:15 AM
A press briefing published on their website reads, in part:

Certain people have recently been promoting OneCoin, said to be a virtual currency based on cryptography, in Belgium. The FSMA wishes to warn the public that OneCoin has not received any form of recognition whatsoever from the FSMA. The same is true of the persons who are promoting OneCoin: they do not hold an authorization or any other form of recognition from the FSMA. Generally speaking, there are no specific rules governing virtual money that the FSMA could enforce.

The FSMA didn’t stop there, of course, but went on to in so many words indict all cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin included, as “risky,” saying:

The FSMA wishes to remind the public of its warnings, issued jointly with the National Bank of Belgium (NBB) in January 2014 and in April 2015, and emphasizes that the risks associated with the use and the holding of virtual money such as Bitcoin which are mentioned in that warning are still relevant.

525  Other / Off-topic / Re: If i give you 10 BTC what will you do? on: July 13, 2016, 12:08:44 AM
I think that I would on to them because I can earn money with them if I sold them in the future.
I can also spend them right now but that would not earn me as much money.
i think i would hold it all too, thats the most intelligent thing to do right now as so much people expect a big growth in price, i hope these will not be just expectations

for me i will withdraw 5btc then hold 5btc for future reference, we need fun, we need pay some cost like internet cost, buying new shoes, t-shirt etc.
i think 5btc enough for it Roll Eyes
526  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: July 13, 2016, 12:05:13 AM
invest is bettter for "growing" our money, we must thinking again about saving money, because inflation make our money value decreased each year..
i will choose invest if i have more money.

Like you said, you'll choose invest if you have more money. That means you have to save first before you can invest. There is no investing if you have not saved anything. You cannot choose any because you have to choose both of them. Saving amd investing should go hand.and hand.

For me, I'm going to just to save my money at all as we all know that's the benefit of bitcoin even you are just going to hold or save it.
When the price moves up you can already get profit out of it.
So, saving bitcoin is just like investment. That's my opinion.

hold and save bitcoin it's same as invest our money at bitcoin.
for me saving money = wave our money at bank, so the chance to lost our money is very small...
the risk like be zero, not like save at cryptocurrency
527  Economy / Economics / Re: Where did you first heard about Bitcoins? on: July 13, 2016, 12:04:59 AM

528  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you like to receive your salary in BTC? on: July 13, 2016, 12:01:38 AM
This crazy volatility must be mitigated before that can happen.
thats true, no one will ever want to receive their salary in bitcoins right now as the price of the bitcoin is going up and down all the time, i don't think that it is a really good thing
but I not sure no-one will want to receive their salary in btc. everybody has different intentions and interests. maybe, for example, the signature camp manager is who the people is want to receive their salary in btc. but sure there are another person have the same wish too.

529  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-7-13]The Secrets Of Cryptocurrency: An Interview With Etheruem Co-Creator on: July 12, 2016, 11:53:41 PM
Previously reserved for those living on the fringes of computing culture, digital currencies are quickly gaining popularity. You’ve probably heard of Bitcoin, but have no idea what it is. Simply put, it’s digital money that is completely secure and doesn’t use traditional banking to determine it’s value. It is known commonly as a cryptocurrency.

In 2009 Bitcoin became the first popular cryptocurrency. While bitcoin is commonly attributed to the mysterious Satoshi Nakamoto, no one really knows who he is. Since 2009, many alternative cryptocurrencies have been created. Now we have Ethereum, Bitcoin, Gridcoin, Mastercoin, Auroracoin, Titcoin, among others. While these may sound like street names of drugs, these other cryptocurrencies are frequently called altcoins.

530  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to motivate women to use Bitcoin? on: July 06, 2016, 09:30:40 PM
I don't really know how to, cause i don't need it, my girlfriend, she is not interested on it and i can't change it. If someone is not interested, better not to try.

i think it's something special for me, to have "bitcoin family" . so i can give my son pocket money with bitcoin. then if my wife need money i just send bitcoin too..
531  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: July 06, 2016, 09:29:00 PM
Best way to increase your amount of money it's earn it, investing and saving is also good but only when you using both of them, cause dividing you will not get a good resaults.

we must have smart plan to both of them, Im invest and saving my money at GPU mining, im mining with gpu, and earning some money, then if i need money in emergency time, i will sell my gpu Roll Eyes
532  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-07-07] North Carolina Governor Signs Bitcoin Bill Into Law on: July 06, 2016, 09:25:48 PM
Perianne Boring, president of the Chamber of Digital Commerce (CDC), one of the strongest advocates for the bill, sought to position the law as one that had "made history" by providing an alternative, legislative-based model to industry-specific rule-making.

Boring told CoinDesk:

"The fact that this went through the legislative process is a big step forward, the bill also adds more clarity than any other state by a long shot."

Boring said that the CDC’s membership, comprising stakeholders including IBM, Microsoft, RRE Ventures and Ripple, among others, was largely supportive of the bill, which codifies proposals first published in December by the North Carolina Office of the Commissioner of Banks.

"It is a business-friendly bill and gives better guidance to businesses," Boring continued.

Other members of the industry offered a comparably more measured take.

533  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick? on: July 06, 2016, 09:24:52 PM
At my opinion it's not correct to compare this two ways of investment, cause it's so different and both of them is super profitable, but i will choose gold anyway.

but both of the is still good way to invest at this time, some people save pyshical gold for invest, that's very old way to invest but still work, and the modern way is holding bitcoin..

537  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-06-07] Startups seek to de-anonymize Bitcoin to fight crime on: July 06, 2016, 02:28:33 PM
Startups in the UK and US are claiming that they're able to strip Bitcoin users of some of their anonymity to fight online crime. Reuters is reporting that London-based company Elliptic has teamed up with the Internet Watch Foundation to stop the cryptocurrency being used to buy child pornography. The IWF is supplying Elliptic with Bitcoin addresses which are believed to be involved with online child abuse. The startup, which monitors transactions at some of the US and Europe's biggest exchanges, will check future purchases against this list. If any of the suspect addresses are found to match, Elliptic will raise the alarm to partners as well as law enforcement agencies.

538  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-06-07] Uber Switches to Bitcoin in Argentina After Govt Blocks Uber CC on: July 06, 2016, 12:06:54 PM
By and large, Uber’s customers are adapting well to using Bitcoin through Xapo’s debit card, for which Uber gave a $30 discount. Diego Gutierrez Zaldivar, President of Bitcoin Latam and CEO of RSK Labs, sees Uber’s typical customer as being willing to embrace new technology.

“In general Uber users are highly knowledgeable about technology and more prone to Bitcoin understanding and usage, fears about Bitcoin usually come from more illiterate users.”

According to Franco Amati, co-organizer of the Latin American Bitcoin Conference (laBITconf), most users have flocked to Bitcoin rather than lose Uber.

“Nobody is deleting Uber app because of this, on the contrary, I have friends that requested Bitcoin debit cards to use Uber. Most of them from SatoshiTango, since there they have an option for a virtual debit card, so they do not even need to wait for a physical card to be delivered. But others from Xapo too as card issuer.”

Amati also notes that Uber’s difficulties from authorities were what prompted this sudden explosion of interest in Bitcoin.

“Also, have in mind that Uber was not accepting these cards a month ago. They added them because in Argentina all local cards are blocked by the government from using Uber (even when these cards are used outside of Argentina).”
