521  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 06, 2023, 11:13:22 AM
Of course, he needs to train harder, if that is what you mean, Tapales has been in a lot of tougher fights though, and I think some of us here might not heard of him until he make that upset and win the other 2 belts that Inoue needed.
I think all boxers considered all their fights tough the reason why they are training hard to win the fight.
We can only compare have more quality fights, and I think on that matter Inoue is ahead, because he won many division than Tapales.
Actually, Tapales name just came out, became popular because he fought Inoue, when he won the championshiop, nobody is talking about him.

And I do agree, training is going to very hard for him, and his trainer could have been pushing him to give more than 100% in training because he will need it in the actual fight. Sparring with bigger opponents or at least with good and solid punch to measure himself against the power of Inoue.

He doesn't need to overtrained, he had his own style, as long as he'll be able to initiate it, he should be able to give Inoue a good fight.
As to winning, that's another story.
522  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk - February 2024 in Saudi Arabia on: December 06, 2023, 03:48:13 AM

Tyson Fury odds on 1.61 is very good, I reckon.

That's actually a good odds, X that close fight with Francis and fans would easily take that.

I like that some have doubts on Fury as the odds have improve for him, I doubt, if Fury were able to KO Francis, he'll be like 1.30 ML against Usyk even if it's a unification fight.

The Sacramento Kings lost. Ouch! Moving on.

I like those picks @stadus, I think I am tailing that.

Over should be the easy bet, ... But we still have the 2nd half of the game, hopefully Bucks would be able to pull away with a big lead and bring us the "W"...As they say, no big lead is safe as anytime a team could have a big run and beat their opponent with the spreads, Bucks should be able to deliver that to us.

Halftime score. NYK 72 .. Bucks 75.

I expected this game to be the lowest scoring one of the the knock out round, at least at half time, as I've got them on the Under for the first half, but that's a lost cause already.

Despite the being quite physical both teams playing some great defensive plays, I'm extremely surprised by the offensive effectiveness of both teams too, Milwaukee with quite of 3pts shot fall for them, Lillard 4/4 3PT, A.J. Green 3/3 of 3PT as well, the high scoring nature of this fixture is literally about the extremely great scoring percentage from both parties so far.

It ended more than expected, turns out it was a dominant win by the Bucks outscoring the Knicks by 24 points.

Now, let's focus our attention to the next game, I'm adding more money on the Suns moneyline as I'm too confident they'll beat the Lakers on their home court.

525  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading advice for newbies on: December 05, 2023, 09:59:20 PM
My greatest advice in this market is learn to be patient as much as you can. There is no shortcut to success, so always chose to take a harder and tougher way at first so you can see the sweet fruit of your labor in the end. In life, learning takes a lot of time and even requires a lot of experiences before you will be able to learn, same what we should do in this crypto market.

Learning takes a lot of time so you have to be patient and calm as much as possible. And don't be greedy for quick and immediate profits, but always seek the long term profits that will give you satisfying results and profitability.
526  Economy / Economics / Re: Luxury and spending lifestyle fastest way to poverty rich kids on: December 05, 2023, 09:21:04 PM
Of course kids who are doing this end up being poor and struggling in their finances in the future. No matter how rich they are, as long as they don't value their money and just waste their money on partying and buying unnecessary expenses, the consequences will be they will surely be struggling in their lives trying to live their lives like how they used to live it.

Parents are mostly to be blame seeing how these kids have grown up but have never learned something. This is the reason why we should teach our children earlier how to live life the hard way and overcome them, instead of giving everything all their luxury needs and end up seeing them living falling apart on their lives.
527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $40k Price Target Achieved on: December 05, 2023, 08:48:05 PM
Bitcoin is currently priced at $43k and I must say that the market is very positive right now that those who have invested at $25k are already in good profits if they decide to sell. But definitely, now is not the best time to sell but to buy more either because there are high chances that bitcoin price could even grow more until bitcoin halving comes. Hopefully, we will have a very merry Christmas weeks from now as long as the market continues to be bullish even more.

However, what we see right now does not guarantee that bitcoin price has no chances to drop. Of course, we should be always open for that, but it would be more advantage for us if what we see is price continuously moves up.

I think I'll be joining you guys with the Kings, it's also a -4 for me.

NOP has 60% overall ATS record, higher compared to Sacramento kings, but looking at the road record of the Pelicans, they are only 3-6 which are concerning, so I'm sticking with the home team since they have a 6-2 win although 4-4 on ATS at home.

It didn't go well; after a promising start in the first, Sacramento lost control of the game. What I witnessed was the complete Pelicans team from the past, capable of providing tough competition even against a team with a top standing.

I guess will be focusing on the upcoming games hoping for a bounce back after a loss. With that said, I have some early leans.

1st game Bucks -4.5
2nd game Suns ML.

Good luck everyone!

Sorry but it's not the right time for you to win bigger. Grin

Try and try again mate, maybe next time you'll hit bigger, just don't dig things that had already happen, you can't undone what happen, so just be thankful you won your bet as it's not easy to win in parlay, some said even thought that parlay bets are just totally wasting money, but you prove it's not on your end.
531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Keeping Numbers Or You Allow The Machine To Pick Your Numbers To Bet on: December 04, 2023, 07:52:16 AM

Overall, the lottery game is currently one of the gambling games that is often gambled on in my country, regardless of age, especially now that lottery games are easy to access online, without having to bother buying the right numbers to bet on.

In our country, accessing the lottery isn't available online; instead, you need to go to the outlets to purchase tickets. I think many bettors enjoy buying tickets in person as that adds more excitement, especially with the hope of winning the jackpot. The lottery in our country typically has only one draw per day, and people make a point to secure their tickets, eagerly anticipating the live draw in the evening.

Just imagine the thrill if your combination were to win—the prospect of a life-changing, instant millionaire, as they say. However, personally, I lean more towards options with higher percentage winning probabilities rather than low percentage with high rewards, like the lottery.

Among the millions who bet, your ticket wins the combination is extremely lucky. You know what they say that you are more likely to get hit by lightning twice than winning a lottery but it happens to lucky people. Sometimes there are even a number of them which they are to divide the amount.

Therefore it's not impossible to win in the state lottery but you gotta be lucky. Allowing the machine to pick your numbers is the luckiest. I don't play the lottery can't imagine how the machine would do that but it must be random.

We may use a different approach in our lottery bet but we all need to be lucky to win. Actually, it's not a big deal though, what's the big deal here is if we could continue wasting our money or will be addicted on lottery as we would keep chasing til death. Whichever come first, but in life, we try to risk to get big reward, it's just that lottery is the easiest way but only once you are extremely lucky.

Yeah, many people inside the arena seem to not like the new style of Ryan Garcia, for me he seems afraid on the brawl type of fight, had he not connected that left hook, that booing would have continued until the 12th round.
Yes and if Garcia won by decision fans would not like it, because he just keeps on running and refuses to engage, not the Garcia that people used to see.
This is not surprising since he has a new trainer and his trainer has mapped out a plan for Ryan, he wants Romero next but he doesn't want the money being offered to him by The Golden Boy promotion, let's see who will Garcia fight next I like to see him get a rematch against Gervonta.

Maybe we can blame the fans for chanting the name of Duarte, that was probably the reason why Duarte got so aggressive and forgot to pay attention to his defense, disrespecting the power of Ryan Garcia. What Ryan Garcia showed was something new, I never thought he'd be so fast that Duarte could not catch him despite the latter was the one who keeps attacking.
534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who says you can't be a millionaire in sports betting? on: November 29, 2023, 02:26:45 PM

Probably this guys is a high roller for placing that kind of money to an insane x1000 odds because that’s almost a sure loss if luck hits hard on his bet that time. This post might encourage many Filipino bettor to pursue more risky bet since everyone in there is very crazy when it comes to copying someone insane win.  Cheesy

An $18 bet a high roller to you? To me it's not yet, he/she is probably just a typical gambler who have a good feeling on that day and bet his $18 on x1000 odds. Maybe he's not doing that on a daily basis, you know, sometimes when we are consistently gambling, we have the feeling to try to take a higher risk and bet on crazy odds, that's probably the scenario and his luck also came just at the right time, so voila, JACKPOT!

You probably don’t know how to manage your bankroll for saying this kind of comment. Show me a screenshot that you place a bet with this amount on a x1000 odds multiple times maybe a 100 times then reply to me like this.

I usually have a bankroll above 1000$ but I never place a bet like this on an odds that is too good to be true since it’s just burning of money real quick. It’s very hard to hit a jackpot like that on few try so your assumption is low chance to happened compared to mine realistically speaking if we will talk about stats and probability.

Chill out dude! Let us not compare the amount of bankroll we use as this is not a contest.

I was just making a reply on a specific statement of yours about $18 bet you probably thought a gambler is a high roller.

Maybe we need some help from wiki to define the meaning of high roller. And it's the definition below.

Quote
A high roller, also referred to as a whale or cheetah, is a gambler who consistently wagers large amounts of money.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_roller

$18 is not a large amount of money my friend. Smiley

And this is what I found when I google search the keywords "high roller gambling range".

Quote
How much do you have to gamble to be a high roller?
Fodor's Las Vegas Compass American Guide defines a high roller as a player who is able and willing to lose $100,000 or more in a weekend; such players stake at least $10,000 a hand and have at least $1 million dollar lines of casino credit (http://www. betsinvegas.com/ vegas-high. shtml).
535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Regis Prograis vs Devin Haney (9th of December) on: November 29, 2023, 01:08:02 PM

We all know that Haney falls into the category of kinda boring boxers—there aren't many, but they're all unbeaten. Personally, I believe that boxing is as much about putting on a show as it is about competing. I mean, a boxer would get more love if they could both win the match and keep the crowd entertained simultaneously. But with Haney, it's all about that "W" – the entertainment factor is usually missing in action in most, if not all, of his fights.

Until he fights someone who has some high chance to beat him and beat that guy easily, the fans will gonna recognize his skill and he won't be like Andriene Broner who lost easily when he finally fought someone who is not afraid to take his punches and make him realized he is nothing but a rising star, not a star yet. If he can only prove his greatness and fight anybody like the old-time boxers does, he will be instantly famous even though his fighting style is uninteresting but we all know that they are more careful nowadays compared to old boxers who keep grinding on their rivals.

They know their limitations as a boxer and they are just humans too, so probably they are just playing their game to hit but not to get hit. Unfortunately with this too careful strategy , it consistently result to a boring fight and that although he is undefeated but fans does not talk about him a lot because it's pretty obvious that fans usually talk about a boxer that entertaining to watch and that he's winning as well.

Take Canelo for example, this champ isn't undefeated anymore, but I'm sure he is more popular than Haney, or other boring boxers who are champ&undefeated.

When you say yes or no? Always followed it up with a clear explaination.

Her approach was already wrong, she wants gambling be her second source of income? That's insane!
Guess, she needs to understand the risk of losing money too, being too optimistic resulting to being unrealistic will only lead to serious problems.

What will happen if she'll not fully understand gambling and doesn't have the skills to win is that her goal won't be achieve, instead of making gambling as another source of income, it will only become another source of problem.
538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: November 29, 2023, 05:37:17 AM
I don't care about this promotional video, so it's no big deal what's in it.

What matters is that this fight will happen as scheduled. In reality, this fight doesn't need much effort to market because people will certainly watch it. More marketing might be necessary if the fight were held in neutral territory, but given that it's in Japan where Inoue is currently the best boxer, this isn't needed. People will watch and support him regardless.
539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do not gamble with Loan Money~otherwise you will be in danger like me on: November 28, 2023, 12:36:54 PM
That's why it is not really advisable to use loan money in gambling. The risk is too high and you will face consequences if you lose the money on your bet, you will end up having a deep problem that can take a few months or even a few years for you to clear. You've been here in this forum for quite some time, you should practice the advice you read when it comes to gambling addiction.

OP was even lucky he didn't end up being homeless.

As long as he still has the job, he can earn money to pay his debt and survive; it's just that he has to sacrifice a bit, as his income for his needs and wants will be reduced while he pays off his debts. But the world is not over for him; it's just one mistake that can be resolved in time. What's important is that the mistake will not happen again, as we never know, he might experience worse than what he is experiencing now.

Borrowing money is not advisable, especially if you can't control your emotions and you go all out.
540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 28, 2023, 08:03:55 AM
A star-studded Los Angeles Clippers defeated by a starless Denver Nuggets! WTF!

I was not able to watch the fourth quarter as I was busy doing something else but the whole 3 quarter was all Clippers and they ended it with an 11-point lead. When I came back, BOOM! they are defeated.
That was a freaking x5.60 if you bet before the start of the game. But who would risk that team without Jokic and Gordon on the field? I don't think that is wise and many sports bettors Clippers would win that game without any resistance.
Reggie Jackson punished them for letting him be open on three-point distance. 3/4 FG 3-point shots 15/19 total FG. I guess he knows how the Clippers work since it is his former team.
That was disgraceful in front of the Clippers fans. I lost my bet but that may be one of the biggest upsets in this season.

104-113.

Forget about the stats; it's just unacceptable that the Clippers lost that game. I mean, no Murray and Jokic, who are their best players, while the Clippers have all four of their superstars, and yet they lose to the undermanned Nuggets. To make it worse, the Clippers were playing at home. Man, there's no hope for this team; the experiment failed. Let's kill that optimism already.
