521  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is anyone saw mempool right now? Mempool spam on: November 10, 2023, 01:57:32 AM
The Ordinals are still probably to blame? I think they are still playing a big role in this latest spike in transaction fees. But I think it's not just them that caused this. We notice how the price of Bitcoin has been rising for several days now. There's an increase in the volume of transactions. Many of them are probably legit transactions and not just related to Ordinals. Or are there bad actors at play also? Like those who are just trying to spam the network to make it congested?

I’m not really sure if Ordinals is really need to blame here since the stuck transaction volume is much lower when Ordinals spam network which around 500K Tx compared to current one that is just a 200K+ yet the transaction fee is much higher compared when the pending Tx is around 500K. Ordinals use dust transactions to flood the network while the current abnormality is just many transactions is purposely use insane transaction fee that makes other transaction with lower fee become pending.

I believe this a pure manipulation which I don’t know who to blame because mempool will be clear if everybody will calm down on using higher transaction fee and just wait for the mempool to clear this transaction with higher fee.
522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hot take: Your crypto portfolio should have more than just Bitcoin. on: November 09, 2023, 04:55:19 PM
• By diversifying your portfolio with other cryptocurrencies, you can reduce your overall risk. Some altcoins may be more volatile than Bitcoin, but they may also offer the potential for higher returns.

I highly doubt that diversifying on different altcoins aside from Bitcoin will reduce risk since altcoins is more volatile than Bitcoin if we view the percentage of price change and not the value itself.

You can suffer a massive 50% loss on altcoins in just a day which you will not experience on Bitcoin. You can always use a leverage trading if you want to increase your profitability in short term instead of diversifying in altcoins that is more risky due to volatility.
523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What impact does the BTC price have on your gambling habits? on: November 09, 2023, 04:50:35 PM
What impact does the BTC price have on your play (gambling both in casino/sports betting/binary options etc)?

Bitcoin price pump makes play less since I’m more focus on holding my coin and accumulating more instead of risking it on gambling which I knew that I will just lose later on. I experienced painful lesson before when I gamble all my holdings before during bull run for a chance to earn more but the result is the opposite.

I believe regular gambler doesn’t much affected on Bitcoin price since they are only gambling what they can afford to lose while casual gambler like me typically wants every penny count.
524  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whatever happens, hold on to your Bitcoin. on: November 09, 2023, 02:37:29 PM
There have been bull run without Bitcoin ETF and there will always be bull run even if the ETF is rejected. So even when the market temporarily nosedives if the ETF is rejected, do not panic. Once again, hold on to your Bitcoin and do not panic.

This is right approach when the market suddenly change momentum. Keep buying when everyone is fearing about the dump since you will have a chance to purchase more token on cheap price. People who always win on trading are those who patiently wait for the right price to sell since it’s just changing of Bitcoin from less patient to more patient people.

This is why DCA is always the best practice on trading since you can average your buy price no matter what happened in the price. We should keep holding on that Bitcoin price grows parabolic in long term while we are just starting that curve.
525  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: The SEC Struggles to Recruit Crypto Experts, Report Says on: November 09, 2023, 02:27:40 PM
They should just invest on training someone to become crypto expert rather than hire from crypto community that despise them badly.

Imagine freshly trained crypto experts quitting their government jobs to FOMO into crypto Grin

This is madness but I won’t blame them if they don’t since they can get more income when they FOMO in crypto especially on bull market instead of being a dog by SEC with a fix salary.

I wonder if someone will took this job from crypto community then become a mole on what’s the SEC plan inside to early counter it by crypto project. This will be a very good plot twist for this job recruitment.  Grin
526  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: The SEC Struggles to Recruit Crypto Experts, Report Says on: November 08, 2023, 03:14:16 PM
Karma is a bitch.  Cheesy

SEC is the reason for many FUD on crypto which every crypto holders is affected. I doubt that someone in crypto industry will help this department that main goal is to suppress anonymity of crypto.

They should just invest on training someone to become crypto expert rather than hire from crypto community that despise them badly.
527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What’s your strategy on high volatility slot game? on: November 08, 2023, 01:29:52 PM
Well... a common pattern in slot machine gambling is that players often experience a win in the early rounds...then followed by losses after that initial victory.
Then, after a significant loss, there might be random wins and losses. Personally, I prefer taking advantage of the initial wins when the game starts. that helps me save money when I spin the slots. Maybe it's worth x2 the amount of money we put in (at initial win). After taking profit, I use that gained advantage to play other games.

This kind of pattern is possibly common on low volatility slot games like play’n go since their games often a frequent win but small amount on early rounds then make you in loss in the long run since the frequent small win is below the bet amount.

High volatility slot games is different like what the subject in the OP since they often give a consistent loss even in early to mid game without winning anything even medium win. The only good side on this game was you can recover all your huge losses with just one lucky big hit since they often have an insane maximum multiplier up to x100,000+.

528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if some country decides to pay pension to working population in bitcoin ? on: November 08, 2023, 12:06:42 PM
What if some country decides to pay pension to working population in bitcoin ? What percent of people will agree to getting pension in bitcoin in your opinion  ? What will be the benefits and limitations of this occurrence in long term on people and economy ?

I don’t know if this is a good idea if they will implement this to the beneficiaries that belongs to old era which Bitcoin still doesn’t exist because they will surely have a hard time to use it when they want to cash out. Also the safe keeping of their asset is one of the main concerns since we are talking about retired people here.

This is only possible and good idea for those people that is still young when Bitcoin created like GenZ or something young generation since Bitcoin will be just a normal currency when the time come of claiming their pension.
529  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BC.Game cancelled my bonuses and locked my account with $100k+ USD balance on: November 08, 2023, 10:10:32 AM
I’m not sure what's the logic behind BC.game to request for not using low multiplier games while rakebacks is compute base on the house edge meaning the house edge on this low multiplier game is very low and will give scale rakeback rewards.

Probably they want you to risk more due to the benefits you are getting as roller without risking much on higher house edge games. Casino obviously hate players like you that playing safe. They are not scam but rather they are taking advantage of their ToS to push you on taking more risk.

I believe you can withdraw that lock funds. Perhaps they are asking you to KYC?
530  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ BITCASINO - Elevate Your Gameplay 💎 #1 VIP Crypto Casino ✈️ on: November 08, 2023, 10:03:10 AM
Not Baccarat player but used to be a Baccarat dealer. To be honest, this game was very popular among asians, those who type with hieroglyph but I can't tell you whether they were from China or Taiwan or Japan, I don't know. By the way, BlackJack is more popular in Europe on live casino from my experience.

I’m from asia and I can confirm that baccarat is very popular here and we have our own version of it called lucky 9 which user is the one who play against dealer like Blackjack style.

Brw, Blackjack is already gain popularity here that almost overtake the baccarat in terms of the number of players playing it. This kind of game become popular because asian preferred this kind of game which they need decision making against dealer card.
531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Flip or Trade? What’s The Bigger Gamble? on: November 05, 2023, 04:29:21 PM
eventho day trading is known to be extremely risky this isn’t a fair comparison at all

gambling is played on chance purely based on luck to say that gambling is like trading might be disrespectful to those who dedicate their time learning about the market traders need to have both the knowledge and the skill which are things you necessarily don’t need in gambling anyway the point is day trading might be intimidating but it’s not a game of luck and you can gain wins by being a good strategist

Not totally true if the one he is comparing are those traders using high leverage such as x100 since no professional trader will use that tool because that is a suicide in crypto trading due to its volatile.

There’s a credit on his comparison when he is talking about high leverage trading since there’s no such indicator that help you to predict random price spike in Bitcoin that usually hit any liquidity no matter how big your position. It’s a literal money burning which I’m really sure an unethical to offer by exchange because that is already gambling not trading due to its low margin for liquidation price.
532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dangerous chasing losses on: November 05, 2023, 04:25:15 PM
Most, if not always, allowing emotion to dominate while playing in any type of gambling more likely ends with a big risk, though there might be some who can break-even or win some after gaming but most of the time the outcome is not favoring the gambler side, to the point that they can lose a lot of money.

Controlling emotion is really big part of gambling since it’s the most common enemy of gambler aside from house edge. It’s very hard to control it if you are just an occasional gambler because you are still not immune whenever you encounter a consecutive bad losses.

Most of the time, it always ended to lose since you will bet higher amount more than your usual wager just recover quickly while your bankroll will be short since your bet will be higher than usual. This is the part people will surely loss when they failed to made another  bet since their remaining bankroll is already not enough to make another bet.

And adding to that, chasing losses are always the first thing when you have that aggression thinking that by adding more money you can have that chance to recover only to find out that you will just lose it all and then regret it after.

Correct. Your bankroll will be shorter that’s why you can easily lose everything if you still bad luck on the next bets when chasing lose.
533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what if bitcoin becomes inferior on: November 05, 2023, 02:56:25 PM
I looked for traces of Satoshi on the Internet. I've read all of his posts since 2009. He is sublime. If you read his writing, you can feel his passion. I have a little bit of bitcoin. I'm pretty relieved just to have Bitcoin. But if you look back at history.. Yahoo lost to Google. Yahoo was great, but Google was even better.

No one can beat what Bitcoin achieved especially Satoshi. He is the only creator he didn’t cash out his holdings and let the community decide for the future development that makes Bitcoin the true decentralized blockchain. I believe no project can beat that since most of the project main goal is to gain profit especially for its creator.

There’s a lot of blockchain that has a better performance than Bitcoin yet no one has the feature of being real decentralized since most of them have DAO while the team or VC holds the majority of the tokens to manipulate the development of the project while Bitcoin is pure community driven project.
534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Telegram Casinos good or bad? on: November 05, 2023, 02:52:04 PM
So, the latest trend when it comes to crypto gambling is the new wave of Telegram Casinos . I'm not talking about those early bots where you could play simple blackjack games in a Telegram group; I'm referring to these new crypto casinos like TG Casino, Mega Dice, and Lucky Block. They've created tailor-made mobile casinos for the Telegram audience, allowing players to log in through their Telegram accounts and start playing instantly without the need for KYC.

What do you guys think about this new trend? Is it good or bad?

I don’t why it’s bad as an option while they simply allow telegram login to play. This same idea with login using social media and web wallet to the casino. I don’t see any alarming thing that will make it bad since you will not stumble on this casino randomly on telegram without specifically searching it on the web.

I try to access some of this casino and it’s still best to access website on web version since you can multi task using new tab if you want to do other things while gambling. Telegram gambling widget is too small to enjoy full gambling experience.
535  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin Fee Observer Thread in USD(sat/vB) on: November 05, 2023, 12:48:58 PM

536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think gambling is inbuilt, kids don't learn it anywhere, they do it! on: November 04, 2023, 03:14:14 PM
Gambling is a habit, kids can also imitate or be influenced by their friends, just imagine when your friends smoke, for instance, you guys work hand in hand, don't you think that it will take discipline and God to stop you from indulging in the acf, parents also play a major role in this, if a father gambles and the kids continue to hear him say it open or see him with the paper print out of the bet, a day will come when they will want to know the exact stuff their dads is always holding or looking out for, this as a parents we should be mindful of what we do in the presence of our kids, as younger as they are, their brain is sharp, it can accommodate good and bad and store it for a long time, check your children from time to time to know what they do when you are not around when you find them wanting advice them and make understand with a reasonable instance to prove your point.

I don’t agree that children will automatically inherit what their parents they are doing. I grow with my father gamble and cigarettes a lot but I never try neither of it when I’m a child especially the cigarette. The only time I gambling is when I discover cryptocurrency since it’s very convenient to gamble here. This is my personal and not because I saw it to others.

We have our own choice whether we follow somebody or not despite we are with them closely. It’s their choice on gambling early just because they saw it since not all kids is interested on gambling but rather on just playing. Some kids want to be just kid.
537  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What Reward for a Trading Mentor on: November 04, 2023, 02:57:14 PM
What is the best reward for mentorship? How do you think I should reward the mentor when I have one? And how often should this be?

If you guys can give me some ideas, it will help me to take charge of the conversation when I meet with the potential mentor.

Thanks.

Percentage of your profit per trade is what typically the common profit sharing to mentor but some mentorship requires upfront payment for service fee aside from the profit sharing.

I’m not sure if there’s really a legit mentorship in crypto since there’s a lot of scammer here that impersonates as professional trader. I highly recommend copy trading instead of hiring mentorship since you can have the same trade activity to professional without string attached and upfront payment. Only the profit sharing which is just minimal percentage. You can be safe this way instead of trusting someone randomly that will jist teach you what to trade.
538  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin Fee Observer Thread in USD(sat/vB) on: November 04, 2023, 01:41:33 PM
Sup guys!

Umay magtransfer ngayon lalo na for gambling purposes.
539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Demo vs Real slots on: November 04, 2023, 01:35:10 PM
So because of this, I decided to try the demo mode on the original pragmatic website multiple times, (running over 100 sessions) and in all of them I have got at least one 200x returns every 10 bonus buys. Which is so different than live mode.

My question is, why does the demo mode seem to pay more than the real mode, and has anyone else noticed this difference?

Do you try the demo mode on the pragmatic main website not on coins.game demo mode? Maybe this explain everything since demo mode on the provider website is probably tweak to increase RTP for user encouragement to try the game by winning too often. This common practice by provider when they want to market their product since no one will be interested to play a demo game which they are not frequently meaning.

I believe the demo mode on the provider website is different to the casino demo mode since I don’t experience easy win n casino demo mode just like what you said. I usually spend multiple bonus buy just to hit more than the ROI multiplier.
540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dangerous chasing losses on: November 04, 2023, 12:31:18 PM
That's true mate, I won't lie, I have also tried this before, whenever I start inquiring loses, I do tend to try to win them back but that was before during my dark days in gambling and it took self discipline for me to actually stop this habit and whenever you are trying to win back your funds, every new you play will feel like a positive win till the game is actually decided and then you will know that your thoughts doesn't control the results of the game.
This is normal for many gamblers, not just you, because when we lose, we may want to recover the loss so that the lost money can be returned and we can win. But we also know that recovering losses is very difficult, especially since we are already in a losing position, so even if we continue gambling, it will still be difficult for us to recover losses. Apart from that, we also have the opportunity to experience loss again while we are still determining whether we can win or lose. We need self-discipline to stop this habit, but if we practice it regularly, we can stop it. In the end, we will no longer chase losses because we have experienced bigger losses before.

It’s really hard to recover losses if your main goal in gambling is just to have profit since the house edge will not permit you to win consistently against the house. Human error through emotion is one of the biggest enemy of players that’s why they keep losing. You can lose everything even if you are initially winning with just one moment that will make you tilted during the game.

I personally don’t view my gambling records nor compute my total lose/win since it will will just affect my mind to gamble more instead of just gambling just for fun during free time.
