Hi Giga,

Have you any plans of adding Email notification on idle miners?

That would be great.

There's a checkbox for idle miners notification under workers -> your worker name. Haven't tested it yet though.

Super Flower 850w Golden Green. Saturn + BFL Single.

Not sure if it matters but my WU/m is down with the new update. From 40xx WU/m to 37xx WU/m.

Pool hashrate is around the same and HW errors have dropped alot.

I'm running 0.93. Just tried to upgrade to 0.95, and it seems to work, but after restart the web interface still says that the current firmware revision is 0.93. I tried to upgrade (downgrade) to other versions but it's the same.

It is possible that the upgrade was successful and the web interface displays the wrong version number? Is there a way to check firmware version through ssh?

at least you can access the miner page/tab....I cant... i get "ERROR 500 Internal server error"

When I added my backup pools in CGMiner itself, I broke the web interface. I'm assuming that's the common cause for most people.
hmm, i have to physically start cgminer thru ssl because the workername was input incorrectly from the factory, which may be the cause then?...  it's catch22, because i cant change it on the gui...lol

Yea it is a catch22 situation but at least I have backup pools setup now.

That part of the web interface didn't really give much info anyway.

My Jupiter is scheduled for delivery today. Of course I bought a Corsair HX850 - is there any *safe* way to use it, or should I not even plug the thing in?

What if I power on the HX850 and plug in the PCI-E connectors one at a time?

NO! Never plug one at a time whilst on. and please step away from that PSU if you are even contemplating that!!

So even with the much better FW .95 you still wouldn't chance it?  How about the 1250 series?

Would you pull out a ram stick or graphics card while you're computer was still on?

I meant using a common PSU like the HX850 in general.  I'm not refering to whatever the hell people are talking about with connecting one pci-e at a time.

Excluding this PSU sounds silly.  It still isn't safe with FW .95?

Sorry my bad.

You need to shift+refresh probably to see the updated numbers.

Cypherdoc - FUDcaster General, coming to an unrelated thread near you very soon.

Actually if you look carefully, I never came into this thread to criticize or spread fud prior to now. That really doesn't make sense if I was trying to disrupt their business. In fact I was one of the first to congratulate them a couple of weeks ago after the demo video.

Buy yeah, you know what? I am a big protector of bitcoin in general and when I see any company screw up the economy after having collected so much money and behaved so arrogantly Imo,  I'll let them have it.

Did you let BFL, "have it" then?

Good point. No.

But the KNC warrior bunch was a one of a kind virulent bunch of trolls that tried to destroy Hashfast and my reputation based on nothing except to try and protect their investment.

They also kept this thread pushed up to the top for visibility.

Now things have gone terribly wrong.

Well what about Avalon then? They are currently doing a few bad things.

Wow, thread digger.
533  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: KnCMiner Jupiter Miner First Impressions on: October 11, 2013, 12:31:01 AM
you are proving what I initially thought.  That the Saturns were a safer bet on being stable (power/heat) and that is what I bought at first.
But then I upgraded both to Jupiters when they said it wouldnt affect my place in the queue

here's a good chart showing early sub 500 hashing and how it has been stable since modding airflow and using .93 firmware

I wonder if the Beaglebone can't handle the load of 4 ASIC chips.

270gh/s Saturn. 0.93 seems to give me the most stable result so far.

50c for both boards when I upgraded to 0.94 with no cooling mods.

CGRemote is reporting wrong values for shares and current hashrate for the KNC though.
536  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [~85Th] Semi-private mining pool on: October 10, 2013, 09:22:38 PM

Look at that winning share.   Smiley

You should send back that 53gh/s single. Mine is barely hitting 55 gh/s.
537  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [~81Th] Semi-private mining pool on: October 10, 2013, 01:06:19 AM
Here's my thread regarding suggested difficulty settings. Read it carefully for there is no right or wrong value and you will not be losing money or efficiency regardless of what the setting is.

Thanks that's quite informative.
538  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [~79Th] Semi-private mining pool on: October 09, 2013, 09:36:12 PM
Pools can certainly dynamically increase the difficulty as they please, my Jupiter's difficulty is 640 at the moment, but why arbitrarily change the settings for all my workers ?

I changed your settings to be inline with the best settings for the miners. You are welcome to change them back.

Can you change this for me aswell? I have a Jupiter and it mines at difficulty 640 atm.
Can you change it to 256 please? Also there is some issue with the reported hash rate, cgminer shows 550-580 GH/s, Pool shows 420 GH/s. someone else mentioned this also (scroll up).

Nickname is jeroenn13.

Thanks!

No issues running my saturn at 256 shouldn't the jupiters be higher to be more efficient?

Has any Day 1 unit not arrived at their destination? (excluding hosted units)
540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 08, 2013, 10:11:55 PM
Other than those that chose hosting, have any 1-500 orders not arrived in customers sweaty hands?

I think it sort of sux that the hosted miners haven't started hashing.

Maybe the folks at KnC 'listened' to the folks that were whining about Sam working on the Data Center instead of hardware.

The 1-500 thing muddies the waters because pre-registered is a hidden number and some 4 figure order numbers I think are shipping because of it.
If you are a 1-500 you probably know.
If not, it will show up on the Order History page, as the device(s) will be labeled as such.
"Jupiter 1-500" for example.

There is no muddy water, here.
1-500 orders made a pledge to KnC to purchase their product.
Without the pledge, Mr Kennemar and Mr Cole (the K and C in KnC) couldn't receive ORSOC's blessing to move ahead.

I will reiterate; are there any 1-500 orders of non-hosted equipment that are not hashing in the wild?

I'm order 3xx and I've been in progress for about a week as well.

You're order 3xx but are you in the Day 1 or Day 2 group?
