I'm curious to see the difference in profitability vs other similar pools, has anyone done any testing?

Site looks AWESOME compared to others so I hope the profitability is at least comparable.
522  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: LightningAsic usb miners based Gridseed GC3355 Tech Support Thread on: February 28, 2014, 04:01:09 AM
I have the 10 miner pack (LA3M). For the past week, they average about 3.5MHs, including the reboot times. Seems like 800 is a little under, 850 is about 3.5, and 900 is a little over, maybe 3.6. Better than originally advertised (3.0), but not as good as potential (5.0).

No issues running them at 900?

Just a few quick questions from me i hope someone can help me with! I will receive 2 of the gridseed miners next week so i hope to start hashing right away Smiley

1) When i add the two miners to a windows 7 pc what is the best start script for cpuminer?
2) Will i need to start 2 cpuminers, one for every miner?
3) When using the miners with cpuminer for litecoin mining, will the btc core be down, so the power usage will be 7W ?
4) How can i mine LTC and BTC at the same time in windows 7?

Answer to #4: Don't waste your time or electricity, not worth it.

What is the format for entering multiple miners in the .bat file?  Can't figure that part out...got 1 running...

check out this image:

Can you provide an explanation of what's in that .bat file?
525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE] GridSeed Miner Support/Tuning on: February 27, 2014, 08:02:20 AM
--gc3355=\\.\COM17 instead, that should fix it. you need the direct address for COM10 onwards

Thank you!!!

I now have 5 running with 5 instances of the miner.

And Yes, they are double digit com ports...

    • Disconnected the miner, reconnected the miner, waited for about 2 minutes
    • Tried again with COM2: => this time, it worked  Shocked  Huh

So it might be worth trying this, although I'm still not getting it 100%

    This is the key!!!

I need some help with Gridseed, I'm running cpuminer and when it starts

    C:\Users\mining\Desktop\cpuminer\cpuminer-2.3.2-GC3355-win32>minerd  --freq=600
    --gc3355=com17 --url=stratum+tcp://litecoinpool.org:3333 --userpass=XXXXXXXX.
    XX:X
    [2014-02-26 18:15:31] Starting Stratum on stratum+tcp://litecoinpool.org:3333
[2014-02-26 18:15:31] GC3355 chip mining thread started, in SINGLE mode
    [2014-02-26 18:15:31] Open com17 failed, GetLastError:2

Any idea on what to do? The virtual com17 say is working properly.

    thanks

This is the same issue I reported above.  At this point nobody knows what the issue is it sounds like...
529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE] GridSeed Miner Support/Tuning on: February 27, 2014, 01:57:22 AM
When I try to run a single 5 chip unit via USB to my PC I'm getting an error "Open COM2 failed, GetLastError:2".  Any ideas?  I can see it connect to the pool but no hashing.

I am also offering a .025btc reward bounty for the first person to post a rpi image to get these mining.

Can someone please post a rpi image for everyone?  I will offer a .025btc bounty.

533  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Introduction to DualMiner USB (could mine both BTC and LTC) on: February 25, 2014, 06:21:44 PM
Are there any recommendations for USB HUBs?

I have several D-Link DUB-H7 7 Port USB HUBs but it does not seem to be possible to let them run stable with more than 1 Dualminer.
If I attach more than one I always get "Comms error"s (Failed to open dualminer on //.//COMXY.

I should mention that I use the bundled dualminer version of cgminer directly with these parameters:
    Quote
    cgminer.exe --scrypt --lo -o stratum+tcp://global.wemineltc.com:3334 -u User -p Pass -S //./COM22 -S //./COM24 -S //./COM26  --dualminer-pll 850

I would appreciate any help, currently I am not able to get more than one dualminer running stable for more than 30 Minutes (on Win 8.1).

I have had 4 running in each of my 3 d-link H7 hubs for a couple weeks no with no issues in scrypt mode.  Win7 with cgwatcher/cgminer.

Are you sure they're 2.5mm and not 2.1mm?  I've seen varying reports...

I've got 8 boards running at 170gh/s+.  If you're using a miniplane or backplane try running them powered up individually.

I just got a deposit from "POFMined", but for 0.00 BCX.  Is this my first proof of stake payout, but it's just too small to register yet?

Too small to register, period, not "yet".

OK, my miners showed up. No power pigtails though.  Huh Didnt realize that they were optional. Oh well... so much for getting up and running tonight. Sad

I see a trip to Fry's in my near future.

Heading to Fry's tonight, I'll let ya know what I find.
539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NRS] New Crypto Equity NoirShares on: February 25, 2014, 12:12:31 AM
Want to know what the true value of each coin right now should be?  1 NRS = $7.74USD = .014btc (based on mining on 8 cores at DigitalOcean)

    8 cores cost per hour = $.238
8 cores (12.86 hashes per minute) = 771.6 hashes per hour
Network hashes per hour (currently 558 per second) = 2,008,800
Probability of mining 1 block (80 coins) in 1 hour (network/personal hashes per hour) = 1:2603

So, theoretically it will take you 2,603 hours to mine 1 block of 80 coins with 8 cores on Digital Ocean.

    2603 hours * $.238/hour = $619.51 per block

    $619.51 per block / 80 coins per block = $7.74USD

    $7.74USD = .014btc

Please feel free to double check the math.

For those of you in the US I believe this one will work: http://www.amazon.com/SUPERNIGHT-TM-100V-Switching-Adapter/dp/B008FKDK2M/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1393220001&sr=8-2&keywords=ac+adapter+12v+5a

Based on suggestion below, looks like this is a better option: http://www.amazon.com/AC-100V-Switching-Supply-Adapter/dp/B00DGOAWAA/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1393223439&sr=8-12&keywords=12v+6a+power+supply

    Can someone confirm?
