i would not answer to people who cry with me

BLA BLA BLA BLA

dont reward bad habbit

ask nice and polite if u want to get answers

the answer where given by magic already
that joe is working on a wallet upgrade that address issues
and that being able code part time on magi is the reason things need time

want things done faster get a additional dev join the team or pay joe a salary so he can quit his job
542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ¤ DMD Diamond 3.0 | Scarce ¤ Valuable ¤ Secure | PoS 3.0 | Masternodes 65% on: April 26, 2018, 10:25:05 AM
Thanks a lot for that, however! I am going to try to explain this in an article and i still dont understand completely even after reading your answer like 50 times and analysing Smiley hehe funny! Its quite complex stuff and hard to put into simple terms and understand.

its the dust part i dont quite understand correctly, so if someone has lets say 10 coins in their wallet and is staking active on the network.
does the network actually give out a "find" winner per block 640 times per day in total?
does the "dust" mean a wallet with 10 coins would try to gather "dust" in order to grow bigger? what does dust mean and where does it come from exactly?

or should i just go fishing again? and try to understand differently? are we talking about coin blocks? hmmm
when i see in the blockchain that each block has like 300 coins, whats the actual size in kb or mb per block, like 50 mb?
whats the chances of someone with 10 coins in wallet finding a "win" vs someone with 200 coins?, and how big is the win? 2.5 diamonds? heh...

if u enable coin controlo in ur wallet options
the u can see in send coins the new button inputs

there u can see ur unspend transactions

thats what i call a coin pile

each unspend transaction try on its own to find a block

but the chance to find a block is bigger for bigger coin pile

when i say dust merge by itself i mean

when one of the small coin piles find a block he merge into the blockfind transactions other small unspend transactions
this way reduce dust (very low size unspend transactions) in ur wallet

as i said there is no way to cheat the system or have some kind of advantage if u do micromanagement

so dont invest to much time understand the mechanics
focus on keep wallet active in staking mode 24/7 and try have as much DMD as possible
and this will increase ur DMD earned by staking

u can enjoy game of thrones on ur nice big LCD flatscreen without beeing able to explain in details how the pictures are created by ur flatscreen

its the same with DMD staking

Anyone else stuck on syncing at "13 days behind" after installing the 3.0.1 update?
I tried editing the .conf file per above, but no difference

install the update alone if u missed the upgrade timewindow is not enough u need to resync from zero

544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE][ANN] ArTiS [ATS] First Ethereum codebased POS Blockchain with Airdrop! on: April 24, 2018, 08:19:46 AM

There is too much airdrop. 250 million people - it's funny!

this is the way most new coins are generated in ARTIS
by new people joining the network

this is the most logical way
because users is what give a netwok value
so its just fair to give the users value in return

545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ¤ DMD Diamond 3.0 | Scarce ¤ Valuable ¤ Secure | PoS 3.0 | Masternodes 65% on: April 23, 2018, 09:24:54 PM
Hello, thanks for clarifying my questions.

Could you elaborate a little on the staking difficulty, i understand it is based on the standard difficulty for 1 coin and then divided thereafter depending on the number of coins one have, 2 Coins half, 4 coins a quarter,  whats the limit of number of coins vs how much the base difficulty can be reduced by? kind of curious about these things, maybe it would be more suitable to discuss in the slack channel?

each unspend transaction try to find a block on his own

i call a unspend transactions a coin pile

the chance to find a block is bigger if the coin pile is bigger

still have to big size coin pile is also bad because once a coin pile find a block he become inmature for 640 blocks (thats a whole day)

the sweet spot in coin pile size is between 200 and 400 DMD

but lucky u thats exactly the coin pile size the DMD wallet will cut and merge ur coin pile automatic over time

because each time u find a block bigger pile then 400 get split in 2 parts

and if blockfinder pile is smaller then 200 he try to merge dust with himself to become bigger
(this is some unique behavior of DMD wallet no other POS/Masternode coin can merge dust in this way)

long story short

the more coins the better in ur wallet
the rest the wallet handle on its own
just make sure u stay 24/7 in staking mode active

i noted that for me that run mac os and using atom.io editor there is nothing in the diamond.conf file when i open it!?! in the wallet DMD diamond core 3.0.1.0. its empty! lol

How would i go about opening this file in mac? with what editor could it be done, or is the conf file just empty anyways?

diamond.conf by default is empty because wallet is coded in a way that default settings are fine

it u want to support the network allow more connections enable listen and make sure port 17771 is open for incomming coinnections from outside

who like to support DMD network and strenghten backbone interconnection
should add this lines to diamond.conf
(to be able connect to onion nodes u need a tor proxy running and a onion= line with the proxy data in conf
questions about this advanced stuff in slack please. nodes who able talk with onion nodes too are most valueable for avoid network islands)

Code:
listen=1
maxconnections=50
#use 200 maxconnections for VPS node
#onion=127.0.0.1:9150
# enable onion proxy if u run a tor client by remove # from onion line adapt port as needed

another question, the maximum connections are default set to 16, is there a difference if i increase this number to a higher one? whats the difference? does it increase my chances of staking coins if i have more connections and process more data? anyone that could clearify this would be awesome!?

more connections is supporting the network more
the more connectiosn people have and they allow incoming connections
the more interconnected the network becomes
it provide no advantage in finding POS blocks

anyone in the team, i attempted to signup for the invite to the slack channel, but it does not work, please send me an invite if its still open for people, would be interesting to see whats going on the inside!

How to start mining ? i cannot see the getting started page on multipool.

multipool convert incoming BTC to DMD
so u can mine on any profitbased multialgo pool that pays out in BTC

and use multipool.bit.diamonds to easy get that BTC mining payouts from ur prefered mining soloution converted to DMD

its just a convinience service we provide for free towards people who prefer gather DMD over gather BTC

and i know a lot of this kind of people  Grin

nice market movement broke 0.00100 btc price now i guess next step is break 10$ again

thats then 1/2 way back to a stable 20$ where we did come from and 1/4 of all time high 40$
so u see still lot room to gain still

Will there be a free distribution of tokens to the community? Maybe an airdrop?

read the whitepaper
up to 250 million people can take part in the airdrop

These figures are fantastic! Do the developers really plan the airdrop among so many people? I thought it was a mistake ....

i think artis has 3 main features/big goals that make it special:

1st goal: being able to offer everything that ethereum can do (even smart contracts written for ethereum can easily be adapted to run on artis, too) but without wasting energy due to POW mining

being the industry’s first full POS-secured coin and benefitting from the big advantages of the tendermint consensus protocol like faster block time, finality of transactions in seconds, and so on

2nd goal: have, as industry first, invented a new transaction type called ‘streaming’ that creates streems which are coins-per-time transaction types (this is optional – you can also use normal transactions, too) for some use cases, streems are clearly better suited than standard transactions. they also act as a solution to scalability issues by reducing the blockchain load. this way, it’s easy to handle more users on a blockchain

3rd goal: be the first coin that really aims to reach millions of users with the easy incentive that nearly all new coins are created by new people joining the network. we think that trying to give as many users as possible access to services on a blockchain by giving them a few coins so they are able to use the chain, is a great way to become one of the most widely used blockchains in the future

suppose in 2020, you start a new project that involves an ico and it creates a token and it provides users an interesting use case, what blockchain will you choose as your base?

one that requires users to buy native coins first (eth) to be able use your token, or

that blockchain that has millions of users who have native coins already to be able interact with your tokens and use your smart contracts?

i think ARTIS really can, by the mere strength of numbers, beat many of the earlier blockchains because in the end, it’s the amount of users that decide over the success or failure

and the first project doesn’t have to be the winner. i can think of many examples where later projects were much more successful than the initial ones:

myspace existed before facebook

ibm before apple

walmart before amazon

netscape before chrome

yahoo before google

nokia phones before android phones

and still, the solutions that came later did beat the earlier existing ones because they did attract more users and made life easier for them

i see no reason why artis could not be one of the top 50 blockchains by 2020

and i think this aim is very low; even being among the top 30 or top 20 could be within reach

While this project might have been promising, I am starting to have serious doubts given the blatant use of newbie accounts to bump/promote the thread.

I have seen the same newbie accounts posting one liners then deleting their posts in the past hour alone. It's not a one-time thing and these deleted posts are then followed up by posts from brand new accounts which are then deleted. All of these accounts were created on Apr 16.

Whether this is sanctioned by the ArTis team or not, such blatant abuse of the forum system does nothing but hurt the reputation of the project.

i full agree
i wouldnt give much importance to newbie account postings too

but its out of my control who post here what
we run a unmoderated thread here

but some of newbie account might be real new users
as i understand special in austria we did attract many people new to crypto too

thats also the reason its pretty silent on bitcointalk
which is in my opinion a old school cryptocoiners place that lost a lot of importance
and many new people not even register a account here

senseless thread pushing doesnt make a project bad or good
the quality of the project make it bad or good

wallet is 100% up to date.
So now I should expect new staked coins every 2-3 days like it was on old wallet or there was some changes in staking algorithm?

staking engine is same just the rewards per block are slowing decreasing

less new coins = more value for existing coins

and we working on projects that will generate additional demand and give DMD purpose
554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE][ANN] ArTiS [ATS] First Ethereum codebased POS Blockchain with Airdrop! on: April 21, 2018, 01:02:21 AM
Even though the name of the tokens is artis or let just say artist.
But it seems that this doesn't have the concept about that.
Just hoping that there will also pekerjaan.

artis is not artist........

its the ability to craft something with skill

which some artist do but also some software developers
special ours  Cool
