Thanks. I download the V3 wallet and got my keys imported and send 10000 DMD to another wallet and start a master node. Seems like it is up and running now just waiting to see it I get some rewards.

It's one key per address, not per transaction. Ideally, you want to send all coins to one address before exporting the key.

So the other method to use directly the wallet.dat of DMD 2 is no longer valid ?

I am sure the network will be fine.

My worries are that very few people will get 300% return per year for their MN, while the rest will get 25% for normal POS, which seems very unbalanced. As you said, just crazy, but I don't see this as a good thing, it could lead to a "rich get richer" scenario and more centralisation.

And yes, there are 7 days to set everything up, but as I said, for someone who has a few hundred or even a few thousand DMD it is pretty much impossible or at least very expensive to get enough DMD for a MN in that time.

I know there was talk of having distributed MN, which would solve the problem, but unless that is implemented I am sceptical.

I was just thinking that it would make more sense to have a wider adoption of masternodes.

Needing less than 2000 DMD would open the door to more people and help increase the price more, so even if there were more masternodes around it would increase their income since the price would be higher.

Since there would be a bigger chance of a price increase due to wider masternode adoption, it would in-turn increase the incentive for normal user investing.

Sounds like a win win to me.

OK. Also i noticed that the paper wallet link is gone. Any currency thats stored in an offline wallet wont be effected by the upgrade correct? considering there is not address format changes.

a snap shot which took place today is a scheduled activity in transition V2 to V3. After V3 becomes active on 15th, there s no point keeping V2 (old wallets) online since any minted or mined blocks will not be transferred to V3 chain. Please be patient for these last 36 hours or so until we get V3 version active.

Again, everything goes as planned ATM.

I think this is incorrect statistics.
Each DMD Wallet running must have at least 3 connections to the network.
If I see 107 connections, then it means three times less than the number of wallets, but no more than 107

I am utterly perplexed.

1) was there a POS wallet for windows? I never saw any POS options in mine! Or were they hidden because of the miserable 2.6 DMD I mined?

2) Why has the website been update with a 3.0 link that does not link to a 3.0 wallet? Why not add the info "on the xx of September click here"

Obviously the "migration"  on github does not help, with the official account forked and reforked.
