DMDv3 will have 10000 DMD masternodes at a existing coin amount of 2.2 millions
if u expect 50% of coins in MN
(which is a high rate because u need coins active at POS too for security and u can expect also a high rate of passive users dont run POS or MN and leave coins at exchange)
then we would have just ~ 80-120 masternodes which is very low compared to most masternode coins
if i do the same calculation with VGS then i see 240k where optimistic just like 200k will be successful converted in the close 30 days window
when u estimate 50% of them be in active MN then this is just 20 MN
in my opinion that is not enough to be save against DDOS attacks and some of the normal masternode services like coin mix might not even create results that make sence with so less amount of MN
i strongly suggest u rethink the MN collateral amount towards a better suiting amount of example 1000 or at max 2000 VGS
did i miss the split rate of blockrewards between POS and MN?
how u take care that enough wallets are running in POS mode to secure the chain?
wouldnt be static block rewards like DMDv3 will use the better choice
basically because the rewards POS wallets earn will become more and more if less people take part in POS
this give incentive to run coin in POS mode even if u could fill a MN if to less people participate in POS
a annual 25% POS engine dont increase rewards if less people participate and so dont take care always enough POS securing the network
beside this little flaws which u might be able to fix with design changes i like to see move towards MN codebase
we from DMD Diamond team also did evaluate this as best path for future
just like they say the devil is in the details
so make sure u get the fine tuning of VGS the right way to not miss the opportunity of this relaunch
last but very important point for get community confidence in this coin relaunch
a very clear statement what happens with the unclaimed premine after the 30 days swap time is over
(i clear expect to read a answer that include "burn" anything else seems to me a no go
)
