im sure u know we are great supporters of ur project jason

that we dont follow up what to do with a few diamond have the reason we are very busy at multiple projects
same as u are

we just wanted to give u as we hope valuable feedback to improve the service

bitpay is a good example how a service can handle any possible issues that happens when u use it

its not time over just the path to first masternode might become a bit longer

crazyivan u have a very good overview of dmd
just some little detail can lead to missunderstanding

example coins can act as masternode collateral or participate in pos
but same coins cant do both at same time

amd the pos in dmd v3 is not the same as the pos in dmd v2

the new pos will act like mining that mean
the blockreward is the same no matter who find the block
and more coins is like more hashrate
and provide a higher chance to find a block
there is no annual interest and no coin age that influence chance to find a block or the reward of the block

over all still the calculations we made show that a active pos wallet will very likely earn more via pos in dmd v3 compared to dmd v2

interesting concept while MN requirements are low this device suit the needs for sure
but make sure u run this MN like a VPS masternode without real coins inside keep the coins at control wallet
that someone just steal ur solar panel that is outside ur house including the raspy is a possible risc
but with a empty wallet.dat inside the loss is less dramatic

in 1 or 2 years it might happen that DMD MN get increased requirements like bigger hdd space or some minimum compute abilities
because its a possibility we add some kind of  decentralized storage ability onto the DMD masternode network too
as basis for additional services

this just as a warning that we cant guarantee forever that a raspi will be strong enough to be a MN

for sure it will be always strong enough to be a POS node

the rewards change from per anno % reward towards static blockrewards for POS

but still the effect will be around the same as u estimated
just add the dynamic part that if less coins that the expected 25% of total coins
take part in pos then u more ofen find a block


so the rewards are designed the when 50% of total coins active in mn
and 25% of total coins active in pos

then there is only a small advantage for mn vs pos income
