541  Economy / Services / Re: EdenDice Signature Campaign | Earn Up to 0.1btc for 50 posts | [CURRENTLY FULL] on: September 08, 2014, 01:04:02 PM
As above, this campaign has been full for quite some time and is nearing the end of the term too.
when payment is made .?  Grin

As far as I'm aware it will be on the 12th when the term ends. I'm sure we won't have to wait long for payment.

I've always been a Celtic fan but am looking forward to the Old Firm derbies again in the future.

I've got a free bet to put on the football this weekend and was going to put it on the Barca vs Athetico and Madrid derby. Any suggestions? Hard to say who will win but I'm thinking the games will be close. Thoughts?

Lava looks cool and I'm sure it's cool to do personally, but I wasn't that impressed by it.

It is soo fake!  Angry

Is it? Or are you just one of those youtube cynics who writes fake and gay on every youtube video  Cheesy.

Don't know if it's been asked or if you'd want to answer it (which is fine), but how much personal bitcoin wealth do you have?

Do you intend to ever make another Bitcoin business?
Yes.

But surely not under this name or handle, right?
545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Debit Card is NOT the solution to decentralized currency on: September 03, 2014, 07:10:16 AM
I don't think there's anything wrong with bitcoin debit cards. I think they'll spread more adoption, particulary those who are not experts with the technology or comfortable using a wallet on their smartphone etc. I think they'll definitly be beneficial.
546  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: OpenBazaar - decentralized eBay on: September 03, 2014, 07:06:43 AM
if they think they wont hold any responsibility for counterfeit items or any other wrong illegal activity they are clearly wrong and shouldnt go about it this way.  wasnt piratebay kinda decentralized also and look what happened to it?
Exactly what happened to it?
I'm using it this very moment.
The point of decentralized here would be that they don't hold responsibility, which is great (based on some sort of trust system from what I've read).

but that means they cant collect no profit from it whatsoever?  Also if they wanted to advertise on the site that might be the only way they can make money am I right?  But still they will have to have a team of lawyers and they will have to share or hand over the network, also it can be shutdown by the higher ups is the next question.

Who cant collect profit Piratebay or Openbazzar? I think the point of the latter is not to make any money but it be a free exchange with no fees they people are free to use.
I think the point is to be a place where people can buy illegal things from. To say that they do not take responsibility is crazy when they market themselves as being a place to buy and sell illegal items via TOR.

They made it clear it is not targeted for illegal usage but that they also have no mean to stop people doing so. I think people will mostly stay on SR for illegal purchases as a lot of vendors already have their reputation built and will not want to start over.

But surely it's inevitable that people will use this technology for a Silk Road-like site? I think it's a good thing. These eschnages need to be decentralised because they still charge rip off fees and are always getting 'hacked'.

I don't understand your choices  Huh What do the x1 x2s indicate etc?

You never did betting? Because when you pick X2 it means you go for draw or visitor's victory. Do you get it now? Smiley

No not really a gambler, but I've never seen that sort of stuff on betting forms. Usually just tick boxes. Can you just bold them for us easily confused gambling newbs? lol.

Maybe it's just my local thing because I was checking William Hill right now and they don't have that format for that kind of betting. Here, this is how betting site looks in Croatia: https://www.supersport.hr/

Yeah never seen anything like that before and you wont on William Hill. I think the system you are using may be like the old school gambling system or something before and now its just simpler.

I hope we can win tonight against Arsenal.

I think you've got a chance. They only scraped a win the other day and might still be tired from that game.

Yeah, glad with that win, though I don't know enough about current international squads to make any bets on the Champions League. Might put a max of £10 split between a few accumulators on next weekend's Premier League games though.

What's everyone's picks?

Aston Villa vs Newcastle
Chelsea vs Leicester City
Swansea City vs Burnley FC
Crystal Palace vs West Ham
Southampton vs West Brom
Everton vs Arsenal
Hull City vs Stoke City
Tottenham vs QPR
Sunderland vs Man United
Man City vs Liverpool.

I bolded mine.
551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I hope the price sinks on: August 19, 2014, 04:33:36 PM
No true bitcoin believer would ever wish for the price to sink or tank. The problem isnt with bitcoin but its users. People need to learn not to care too much about short term profits and more on the long term gain/game.
552  Economy / Digital goods / Re: 3 hero member on: August 15, 2014, 02:46:29 PM
Can't believe accounts are actually bought and sold here...

I cannot believe that mods allow this to happen. This is one of the reasons bitcointalk sucks.

Why would anyone want to buy a forum account other than using it to scam newbies?

You see those ads everyone has in their signatures? For them. No one is gonna shell out money on a hero account just to scam some bitcents off a newb. You can just create a brand new account do to that.
553  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Latest investigation about coins stolen, hacker's information on: August 15, 2014, 02:36:39 PM
As above, plus how do you tie where the money went to that user. I think this belongs in scam accusations too, but you should provide what evidence you have.
554  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTS] Bitcointalk account on: August 15, 2014, 02:33:40 PM
You don't care that the account could become ruined even before you've had a chance to sell it? How much money do you need because even if someone buys it it will be for peanuts.
555  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTS] Bitcointalk account on: August 15, 2014, 02:26:58 PM
You wont get much at all for a newbie account, not to mention you'll probably get bad feedback for trying to sell it.
556  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice vs Dicebitco vs Edendice on: August 12, 2014, 04:42:05 PM
I'd say PrimeDice currently for several reasons. It's an established site, is very trusted and the faucet and promotions are great. I've only just come across EdenDice but I really like the profit sharing that gives back. I think that will be a great draw to the site. Good luck too all of them, though.
557  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-08-12] CD: Reviewed: Xapo’s Bitcoin Debit Card on: August 12, 2014, 04:19:47 PM
Wow, the fees are ridiculous for this:

Quote
When it announced the card, Xapo promised a $15 one-time shipping and handling fee, but the company did not reveal any information on other associated costs.

The fee schedule, however, revealed the following card charges:

A monthly service fee of $4.95, or £3.95/€3.95 for European customers
    An international ATM transaction surcharge
Declined transactions costs of $1, or £1/€1
Domestic ATM transaction costs of $3.50 per transaction, or £2.50/€2.50 in Europe.

Monthly fees? What? These cards have the potential to be great, but looks like this isn't going to be a success. Many problems reading the article.

Is it possible to mine using a smartphone? Ive seen some mining apps and curious if anyone has actually tried it

i think it's possible to mine using a smartphone, because a smartphone has a lot of applications which are developer by programming developer. i.e : android, ios (apple) or blackberry ...

Roll Eyes. You obviously have no idea.

Yeah, the possibility of chargebacks is no good.
