Everybody has contacted them......guess they're too caught up in the whole lisk thing to pay attention to their business.
Every other coin there has always been pretty low volume.

Nah i shut the wallet down before shutting down the computer.
i should be ok since i had to re sync i should end up on the correct
 block chain?

There have been times on windows wallets (of various coins including verge) when I closed them....they didn't really close. You can check by going to the lower right of the screen where it has "hidden icons" and see if the icon is still there. I will say though when doing a full shutdown any background apps are still force closed.

And yes, you should resynch no problem.

Also, I filed a ticket with Yobit ( I have a chunk of xvG there) using the link where you send them notice about updates and forks shown in p75's post. Gave them the github link, link to the dev's post and asked when we traders' could expect things to start working again.  Roll Eyes

Thank You Pallas.
Although I'm not a Linux user nor do I mine those algos, I know one day it might be something for windows or scrypt that you work on.
I join the community in thanking you.

Key word there is "IF"......they're not real good on the support side.
File a ticket and jump on their trollbox.
546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XVG] Verge - Speculation & Discussion on: April 13, 2016, 04:58:53 PM
Maybe not so much a backlog....mining now is fast and furious.
I was wondering the same thing, that before with the lockups and all.....if it didn't create some scarcity to XVG.

Anyway, things will settle down I imagine in coming days. The guys mining for "profit" will move on to the "next big thing"/
The ones mining for the future.....will keep on mining and holding.

Yep....that waves thing is just another way to seperate a fool from his BtC.

it is frustrating now that the XVG coin and network is operating smoothly and the blcokchain hangs are a thing of the past.....people are selling off cheap. Go figure.  Huh

Refreshing isn't it.

Guess I need to learn more about blockchains and pools. Some pools may be reporting "current block" as THEIR current block that the pool is trying to solve. in that fiels of their dashboard that is the number that appears...

But like suprnova, seems to be reporting current block as the current one in the chian itself. unless they're snagging and solving them faster than everyone else.

After i left a pool that I thought was "stuck".....lo and behold the one miner left solved the block but I got shares from it. it took a tough amount of shares and percentage was like 1800%+ so it took a while to solve. And the block number in its field for "current block" is the one the pool just solved.

The block explorers show block releasing nice and smooth at the 30 sec target. Oh and coin transfers are behaving as they should as well becasue the chain is moving! Yay

I dunno... Huh

Before you mine a pool, don't assume they are on the right version.

The version Dev released that had the block time error was what many grabbed and installed and missed the follow up...

For instance AIKApools, they're stuck at 340005, that update juat ran for so far after the fork, so guys are there happily mining away thinking the chain is slow/stuck like the old days. Tongue

Easy to tell, check the block numbers in your dashbopard.
Currently over 340600.

This has been a public service announcement.  Cool

Backedup up wallet.dat., deleted everything else in verge folder in roaming
wallet synched smoothly.
Pointed miners to suprnova, mined new coins, old coins in that account and the new ones
auto transferred to new wallet.

All's good and nice to be mining again.
Good Job Dev!  Smiley
Thanks

Look at the network hash rate....thats what he was talking about.
554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [$XVG] VERGE [POW][MultiAlgo][BLACKHOLE][Entire Line of TOR/i2P Resources] on: April 11, 2016, 12:44:53 PM
Network gH/s
0.00000000

 Undecided Huh

Explorers and such have trouble reading network hash when a coin is multi algo, the hash is comping from5 different algos.
At least the diff is down to more normal numbers

Very good sign on new wallet fast synching since folks were reporting the old one losing synch and taking a while to resynch.
Of course crypto being crypto and everyone's computer being different....sometimes the wallets are not at fault.
Over all I had no problems with old wallet, just transactions being slow because of "Hashinator" locking up the block chain . Tongue
