PSG are having a home game against Strasbourg. I don't expect any surprises here. It should be a very comfortable win for PSG. Something terrible has happened to Strasbourg this season as they are one of the worst teams of the league now. They won only once in 15 games so far. This is the complete opposite of their effort in the previous season. PSG have tougher games later like against Lens and Rennes. They would need to play even better in those games to get a win.
Yes, nothing can be expected from Strasbourg to give Paris Saint Germain a surprise in this match. I also agree that this match will be a match that will be very comfortable for Christophe Galtier's team to win. Maybe in a match there can be very unexpected surprises, but we also have to look at the realistic side of the comparison between the two teams that will meet later. I think the best game for the 26th December games is absolutely Leicester vs Newcastle United.I think and I believe in a win from Newcastle as they have been top performers during the last games of the league and they even beat Chelsea 1-0 if I remember correctly.The odd of over 2.2 is very inviting for me and I am going to bet on them because I don't think Leicester will be able to resist that long in a season where they have been doing pretty badly overall,so while I am sure all other people are going to bet on City and Arsenal I prefer to bet on this game.
Newcastle are at a very good level right now, judging from their standings, I think I can already show that today they can be said to be better than the opponent they will face in this Premier League continuation, Leicester City. Newcastle also has a good defense this season with only conceding 11 goals in the 15 matches they have played, in contrast to Leicester who have a relatively fragile defense. AFAIK, Mbappe will be 27 years old in 2026 and 31 years old in 2030. There would be no problem for him to score several goals in the next two World Cup tournaments (assuming that France will qualify for the next two World Cup tournaments).
I expect new and talented players to appear in 2026 and challenge Mbappe for the first place. The upcoming World Cup will have 48 teams, which means more games, which means more chances to score a goal. Most of the new teams in the group stage would be mediocre, which that the stronger teams like France will have the opportunity to score more goals.
Definitely kylian Mbappe just kind of started his football journey yet he has achieved milestones like senior professional older players . He is definitely going to make more records for his country in future. I believe Mbappe has great authority in PSG but he also has great loyalty to PSG because he was able to reject the first offer from Real Madrid in last season's transfer window. so i guess he will stay at psg and reject all offers that come his way.
I think Mbappe has no desire to leave PSG. I don't think Mbappe is at PSG just for the money. Real Madrid were also ready to pay Mbappe huge wages. However, Mbappe rejected Madrid's offer. I think Mbappe doesn't want to leave France. At the same time PSG management has given Mbappe a lot of benefits. And Mbappe has been given the freedom to interfere in the club's internal affairs. To be honest, it feels like even Messi wouldn't be able to save the team by taking responsibility. Because I think it was all due to the wrong strategies prepared by Xavi. The main reason of all the big matches they lost must be Xavi's wrong preferences. Barcelona had such a promising squad actually but they couldn't make it.
What Didier Deschamps did when he subbed O. Because this season Xavi has spent a lot of money building his squad. And added several talented players to the team. Hence their performance has improved. But this performance was not enough to win the title. Barcelona need to play better if they want to win the title. And of course, 3 points must be secured against relatively weaker teams in every match. If Barcelona does not play consistently well, Real Madrid will be the champions this season. I can't wait for the Premier League to resume. The World Cup was a much needed break for some players and also the managers to go back to the drawing board. We'll see if the momentum built by Arsenal will continue or will the other contenders start catching up. The Gunners would probably get six more points before the year ends but their January schedule is going to be tough.
I think the premier league is going to be in full action on Boxing Day thats 26 December. Arsenal have really surprised everyone by holding up their position on the league table but i think if arteta doesn't make any significant signing to the team during this January transfer window before its closes, it going to really have a great effect on the team performance next year because most team are now ready to take on arsenal on the second leg of the premier league and one or two signing to the team will just give the team an extra edge in maintaining their stand in the league table. I would propose for arteta to make a signing towards an additional striker added to Gabriel jesus just to strengthen the attack for them because in other for arsenal to secure the title they need to be in all the goal scoring form they can get, why? Because goals win matches and winning matches gives your 3point which is needed to win the league. Arteta needs to strengthen the club ahead of what awaits the Gunners has the season resumes on Boxing Day. Maintaining their current standing position will require adding more strikers to assist Gabriel Jesus, in which Jesus is currently undergoing treatment after sustaining an injury at the world cup. Arterta is working on occasionally featuring Gabriel Martinelli in center-forward roles, but this might not solve the absence of Jesus if nothing is done to find a future replacement it might cost them relinguishing their current position, even Eddie Nketiah been deployed to play the center-forward will not be as productive compared to when Jesus is playing the center-forward. |

Haaland definitely resembles Ibrahimovic with his playing style. Even his amazing goal against Dortmund in the Champions League directly reminded me of Ibrahimovic's similar goals in his career. Ibrahimovic scored so many very impressive goals like that so far. It feels nice to see Haaland sharing a skill with one of the best strikers like Ibrahimovic. In the end, this kind of great players are getting close to the end of their careers on one hand. It would be really nice to see them in younger and talented players as well.
Haaland is a candidate to be one of the legends already now. He needs to keep this level for many more years to be called as a legend. His finishing skills are amazingly good and I don't see any match for him among the players who are playing football actively now.
For me Haaland still need to be studied more before drawing a conclusion on whom he is mimicking in his goals scoring skills. Haaland is indeed a great striker and good finisher but he still at the prime of his career when he has gathered all his achievements and goal scoring history we can then say who his style of play resembles. |

Hope also to not see Mbappe at PSG the next year, I don't like the way of how they built this team, he deserves a team like Real Madrid, not a petro-dollar team. (But I can understand also, that there are some political pressure about his permanency at PSG).
I think Mbappe would remain in psg, he should have gone to real madrid last summer but psg convinced him to stay with them, he has signed a new and big contract with psg, and it would cost a very big sum of money for any team to take him away from PSG now, the fee PSG will ask for will be too much, and that will make many clubs to lose their interest for Mbappe. Real Madrid is also a rich team like PSG and I do not have any problem with how PSG chooses to spend their money, every big team spends money and that includes real Madrid, that is the only way they manage to stay on top of the others and win trophies. No matter how long mbappe remains in PSG when the time comes he will leave. A club will still buy him. With time, PSG will fade up from spending much money cuz as time goes on, other affairs that need financing will arise. in the nearest future, mmbappe may likely leave on a free transfer. I believe he is in PSG for a purpose, and when he achieves it, he will leave just like Ronaldo left Real Madrid. by then his market price will reduce. Mbappe isn't leaving PSG any time soon. He has to wait until his contract get expired which will be in three years times been 2025. He is but a young player who has so many more years to develop his career. Some players have proved unworthy in past years after been purchased on the basis of one season or one world cup outing wonder, they flop the next season. I won't blame any club that decides not to sign players because of their one off outstanding performance,it is not good for business. Manchester United need to sign players who will stand the test of time and stay consistent year to year not just in the world cup.
I agree about this with mostly players came from World Cup performance not able to give as clubs needed which mean it is just waste of funds but now if few clubs looking for suitable replacements surely they can go with the players club performance because with this better results possible and clubs can take good performance from the players instead of having just based on world cup performance now Manchester United looking for few players so better for them to have just based on their previous performance from club statics because this could be more helpful and will give them good result as well. Hopefully now we will have suitable players for Manchester United from good performance based on their overall performance because as someone gives example in above post this could be not ideal buying. The FIFA World Cup and club side games have different performance sometimes because these players get too relaxed after they get signed. Club performance should be a better criterion for signing players not world cup because at their various club level if they keep up with their super performance despite their allowances they will maintain them no matter which club the move to but the world cup is the reverse. |
