1061  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traders paradise on: July 13, 2022, 12:19:26 PM
Now I decided to start trading after many persuasion and am beginning to have a rough experience but all the while I have only viewed cryptocurrency trading as an all good venture
But your story isn't clear enough did your friend teach you how to trade or you chose to embrace trading with no prior knowledge
if you truly learnt trading you will understand patience is the first step to conquering the market.

Loses is the first profit in every traders adventure. It takes from your mistakes to pay another who had their analysis right. One thing you felt to learn from your friend is patience to start making similar profits.

1062  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why is bitcoin price important? on: July 13, 2022, 12:11:03 PM
Bitcoin was intended to be a p2p cashless digital money transfer system and it still is. But the moment volatility came along with the asset many shifted more attention to making profit by constantly trading it for other commodities as prices kept fluctuating. But how does it sound that an asset that has the potential of giving back a high ROI is spent like a common token. Bitcoin deserves some respect so i keep and make more funds for myself.
1063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: July 12, 2022, 05:38:35 PM
It was not Benzema, it was team work, it was proper management, it was organization and coordination of the entire Los Blanco's team.
Karim Benzema wouldn't have excellent performance without all of those consistency without the fans and the staff's. It's a good memory looking back at how they achieved everything last season.
What's with the new season ? Barcelona wins.
At least Real Madrid are kings and lucky because their key players last season can maintain good fitness, so they can consistently play with discipline. Speaking of competition next season, I personally can still believe that Real Madrid will still be able to be ranked at the top of the La Liga standings. But the competition will probably be tougher, as Barcelona continue to make efforts to build a team with a better squad but that doesn't mean Barcelona have a guarantee of winning the title.
I can smell the toughness that comes with next season already. Madrid still has the squad to remain at the top but this time it won't be as easy as it was last season Barcelona remains their biggest treat, Sevilla and Athletico might not be much of a treat but Barcelona will be their biggest nightmare. Karim Benzema would have done nothing if not of team work. One unique style of play Madrid has is team work and the discipline and this favored them last season
1064  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: July 12, 2022, 05:29:16 PM
Good response from Manchester United, United fans are very very happy with the results from first half. Tour games prepare clubs ahead of the new season. Liverpool didn't get a chance to add a single score to the game. But Manchester United should take it more seriously the season will start in the next three weeks.
Will Eric Ten Hag be the one to take Manchester United back to old ways ? Premier League will be very interesting.
With the kind of performance I saw today from Manchester United preseason match against Liverpool it is very clear Manchester United will be so different from what we had last season,  the performance was so outstanding,  it shows that Erik Ten Hag is doing a great work indeed. It will be so good if Manchester can keep it on with a good play like this .
I pray this doesn't end in high hopes. United performance was impressive. The pre-season performance has added a badge on Ten Hag making his fans trust him with what ever technique he might chose to adopt for next season. Liverpool created lots of chances but it seems united defense improved i am overwhelmed this an indication next season will come with new surprises
1065  Economy / Economics / Re: Thoughts on CBDC's and long-term effect on the cryptomarket on: July 12, 2022, 05:03:22 PM
CBDCs is coming to place complete restriction and control on us a target on what paper money was unable to achieve. Paper money outside the bank is spent at your own wish but every dime in the bank comes with regulations and restrictions of all kinds now if CBDCs completely replaces paper money then we no longer own our currencies but the government do and can freeze it when ever the chose to.

DeFi brings this liberty to our finances, Making us our own banks, giving us rights to spend our coins without fear of having our wallets frozen or setting limits of transaction for each day.
1066  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bear markets are for building on: July 12, 2022, 04:21:26 PM
The illustration speaks a whole lot. During bull market everything seems green and many misinterpret the moment as time to build whereas building and accumulation is a thing of the bear. Bullish season is a reward season, a compensation season as well  for patience. some times the FOMO push new investors to start building when the bulls have exhausted their grip.

Just like an african proverb says you don't search for a black goat at night. Investment is appreciated when everything seems down
1067  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: waiting to buy lower? on: July 12, 2022, 12:51:35 PM
If this is the real Bottom i bet you once the bullish season starts we will start seeing series of long and longer bullish candle sticks pushing prices upwards. But if the reverse happens in this case series of long bearish candle will push price even further dip. For now i am waiting for this longer candle sticks that will indicate new trend else i will wait for the dip because it is obvious this is not the main dip
1068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Grand Lotto Winner on: July 11, 2022, 03:08:38 PM
Mentioning their cities might not be as risky as mentioning their names. congratulations to both of them, their names were not revealed by the Lotto organizers so there is nothing to worry about. I haven't tried Lotto before but will like to have an experience and hope to get lucky when i do because Lotto has changed lots of lives even as so many has lost to it as well.
1069  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People are not only gambling to win but they are buying entertainment on: July 11, 2022, 02:53:35 PM
In real sense we are actually paying for fun and entertainment through gambling. What makes this entertainment unique is the fact that chances of winning while risking our funds exist so this consciousness makes our  body produce adrenalin and endorphins
while loses surrounds each prediction. The ability to say no to this impulses is what saves gamblers from addiction. No gambler planned on becoming compulsive but their inability to control this impulses gave addiction a chance

1071  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tips for newbie to long-term investing on: July 11, 2022, 02:32:33 PM
Right know I'm heavily focused on accumulating as much Eth as I can. I'm almost at the goal I've set for myself in terms of how much I'd like to have before investing in another coin, since I've started investing again a short while ago. Next up I'd like to stack some ADA and BTC of course. But I can't help but wonder is accumulating ETH and ADA the right move right now? Or should I be more invested in BTC in terms of potential long-term returns?
Why not focus on BTC then spread your portfolio after heating a set target of BTC you will like to accumulate. The crypto market is very volatile at the moment any investment is riskier than you can imagine. ETH is a nice project too but your capital matters a lot because of high transaction fee. Accumulating both ADA and BTC can still be considered. But for long-term hold Bitcoin serve the purpose full time
1072  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin manage to grow over time? on: July 11, 2022, 01:58:06 PM
Price Fluctuation: Demand and supply, Price increase demand. Cost of production and number of competitors gets appreciated with high demands. Regulations and media coverage is subject to how the Bitcoin investors react to this news in which the outcome result in demand or supply . Each have this interwoven relationship making everything around prices  fall back to demand and supply which understanding how they are formed can become a powerful tool in predicting future prices

1073  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you regret buying before the dip on: July 10, 2022, 08:41:21 PM
from what you observe from the way Bitcoin price is moving now do you think that Bitcoin price will fall again before it will stand to be moving high. I'm still watching the market because it was on 21k and now it has returned to 20k is any possibility that Bitcoin price will go back to 17k and we predict that it will fall again before it rise again. If you details you can explain more about how it going to rise and fall within this month of July or we should expect downfall of Bitcoin
We are in another indecision in the market. i will not categorically tell if prices will fall further but if price continues to retest the support zone and another pin bar or a hanging man candle forms near the resistance i fear prices might fall further. But with the current pin bar formed and if prices gets to the support zone and keeps consolidating there and breaks through below the support line expect another massive sell

1074  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: July 10, 2022, 07:56:44 PM
Raheem Sterling have finally sealed his move to one of Manchester city rival. The Englishman will definitely do better in the club but I'm still doubting because of the number he is probably putting on. I'm strongly against him wearing the number 9 jersey. As we all know it's a curse in the team and someday, someone will wear the number 9 jersey in Chelsea. Sterling deal will include him as one of the highest paid players in the team and also his contract is valid until June 2027.
I think it's too unreasonable to believe in this superstition (the accursed number "9). but if we look back at the history of great players who numbered "9, most of them ended with disappointing performances like torres, morata and lastly Lukaku. surely sterling can break the curse of this number 9, he is a brilliant striker.
if there is good co-operation between the team the number 9 jersey will be a perfect fit for the Englishman. The problem with Chelsea and strikers is that sentiments comes in along the line. When Lukaku started early last season he was all over the club but along the line things changed. Sterling is a brilliant striker and will fit in the jersey number perfectly if team work is considered above self glory
1075  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Never sell for a loss - is a Myth !! on: July 10, 2022, 07:29:40 PM
This is why I think "Never sell for a loss" is a myth and we should always use a stop loss and play safe with a good risk to reward strategy.
I can't hold when my chart is pointing towards a lower highs and higher lows meaning that prices keeps pushing down. Holding is best in higher highs and higher low trends. from your illustration at $8k i should have positioned my stop loss. Close with the loss and wait for a better entry point at the bottom or check if it i can join the sell market to make some profit before closing my trade for the day. I rather stop the loss than lose it all below 50%
1076  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you regret buying before the dip on: July 10, 2022, 07:22:06 PM
I didn't regret buying.. I paid attention to my chart and knew when to sell..

The trend began from may but it wasn't clear enough where the market direction was pointing to. From the chart we see may 9th till june 10th was a strong indecision (range market), price revolved from $28k to $32k. From that point i was waiting for a pin bar because prior to this we had series of lower highs.

from june 11th a major pin bar formed at a resistance zone which pushed the price below $30k. This pin bar was accompanied by a long bear candle which pushed the price even further.

I expected price to fall this far and currently we are facing another indecision in the market (range market) and if there is no correction after this trend price will still fall further.

1077  Economy / Economics / Re: Zimbabwe resorts to gold coins as local currency tumbles on: July 09, 2022, 03:39:50 PM
This might spring up high cases of insecurity in Zimbabwe. If Zimbabwe adopt gold which a valuable and revealing metal, people who have golds in their bags and pockets might have to keep them at home to avoid theft cases and roadside robbery if they wanted fighting inflation in real sense they would have gone for CDBC or opted for Bitcoin because it is cashless, digital, no paper format and a powerful tool for fighting inflation.
1078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Payouts in casinos on: July 09, 2022, 08:40:03 AM
Payouts percentage/scale varies amongst casinos not because of any government intervention but based on how long they have existed and how desperate they are to get newer customers. When a casino has good customer base they tend to maintain an average payout rate but for newer casinos they will want to entice gamblers with Bonuses and high payouts.

But the difference between both casinos are not always much in most cases sometime the difference doesn't exceed 2-5% between both the new and already existing casino

1079  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin developer Gloria Zhao becomes first female Bitcoin Core maintainer on: July 08, 2022, 11:31:31 PM
It is interesting seeing more females getting involved in tech and this time not the regular front end or UI/UX but rather Bitcoin development(Blockchain) A big plus to the Bitcoin community. Gloria Zhao will also become as good as Pieter Wuille over time, her pull request(PR) was a bold step. Having the permission to commit to the open source project tells her good her proposal was which has earned her a place as part of the Bitcoin core maintainer is more than a huge achievement.
1080  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Better than DCA is DCAing when fear is high on: July 08, 2022, 10:33:36 PM
Those who know charts can find proper bottom and do dca there but for simple folks fear and greed index is enough: https://alternative.me/crypto/fear-and-greed-index/
DCA is better off than keeping your funds in fiat or stable coin. In market conditions when it seems the bottom never gets exhausted, DCA could be a better investment approach because it gives a new bottom price at different price intervals. I don't think DCA Requires any form of technicality since it doesn't require investing all your funds at once  understanding charts only a plus to the technique but anyone can actually make profit with this technique
