1201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Something Like This Happen To You on: June 05, 2022, 08:14:55 PM
We experienced unexpected events or moments in gambling like this one, you are calling it off a day in a session then you're suddenly on a winning streak thinking that it's your time to get back what you've lost will you go or will you stop and come back the next day.
Those moments are always so tempting and it happens to me once i have had streaks of losses and managed to see a single win boom the urge to play one last chance with that assurance of winning back my losses will set in and most times it ends up taking everything from me.

Quote
I'm sometimes tempted to continue but I know you cannot beat the house, so most of the time I just call it a day and just wished that tomorrow or next time it's my lucky day. What about you what's your take.
This is the reason i abandon physical casinos and bet-shops to stick to online crypto casinos where i just fund and play immediately and once i exhaust the fund that is simply the end of it for that day. Most times it takes extra discipline to tackle this so for me i just fund an amount i can lose for that day
1202  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Education as the bed rock of a country on: June 04, 2022, 11:14:06 AM
Africa should understand that education in this era has grown beyond the four walls of a modern day structure of bricks and architectural buildings we live in a society where knowledge and skills can be earned right inside your bedroom. If the government fail to provide quality education to it's citizens then the cloud is the best alternative. Instead of the lamentation why not embrace civilization by taking advantage of the numerous online learning platforms and universities at once own comfort

This is a polite way of saying give us back your privacy. If they so claim that "Any system where you forget your password and you lose your life savings is not a safe system."  Then what will be said of a system where you can always reset your password but can be logged out of the system anytime or froze your account because they think the have control of your funds. In this era and age i choose to be the main custodian of my key and coin
1204  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 8 Mistake People Make When Investing In Crypto on: June 04, 2022, 10:41:43 AM
Every thing listed as mistake narrows down to making quality research before making any investment decision. Shit coin investment is ponzi in disguise, If it must be included in a traders portfolio then knowing when to withdraw is part of the investment plan same with Bitcoin. for non researchers its best to Hold on to Bitcoin and if diversifying portfolio should be considered then real estate, metals is best.
1205  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID had widened the gap between world's richest and poorest on: June 03, 2022, 02:31:47 PM
The pandemic was an open avenue for the medical, pharmaceutical and information sector to build up new billionaires because the world depended on this three sectors for health tips although the period. To meet up with this demand the government had no choice but to print more money which resulted to high inflation rate which could possibly  result the predicted poverty rate but what is the way forward then?
1206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kenyan energy company entices Bitcoin miners with geothermal power on: June 03, 2022, 01:54:36 PM
Renewable energy is the best as it saves energy cost and consumption. This will mean more miners and less cost for transaction validation and confirmation. Miners could consider this invite worth considering so that the high electricity consumption and carbon emission as Kenya happen to be the crypto hub of Africa miners can make a worthy use of this offer

In everything Liverpool want to do this summer, they can't ever afford to lose both Salah and Mane. Without those two, the club will struggle in the league. Salah and Mane are players that are difficult to replace. If they lose those two, then probably they have to change the strategy in order to get results.
During play for Liverpool these players has been showed fantastic performance and help Liverpool to get trophies and indeed i admitted if Salah and Mane leave the club this probably big lost for Liverpool and will have an effect on Liverpool's performance for next season especially besides them there are several players who possibly will leave too such as Firminho and Origi but Klopp is smart manager and i think he already considering this possibility however seems Liverpool have started looking for new players to replace Mane and names like Jeremy Doku or Darwin Nunez were linked to them
I think keeping up with Liverpool's performance for next season is upto Klopp to figure it out. Mane and Sallah will be a big loss to the club but the too have to move on. Their performance in the last season was second to none but at the same time Liverpool can still do better without them it is just for Klopp to figure out how.
1208  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: No such thing as Too Big to Fail on: June 02, 2022, 11:41:20 PM
Comparing Altcoin crash to bitcoin is somewhat incomparable. LUNA crashed to -100% with no support to hold the price below any major support zone. Of a truth no project is too big to fail but on the part of BTC it looks a bit more difficult to happen that is the chances are slim. It is best to put all eggs in a single basket(Bitcoin) if the investor is lazy about doing their research or diversify their portfolio and do a steady research. Having all coin in  a single altcoin project is unwise. Crypto is working but it requires your research
1209  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the golden rule of investment? on: June 02, 2022, 11:26:51 PM
I agree with you @ OP because most financial advice can be used against the adviser it is best every investor does their own research and be held accountable for their success and losses. To be on the safer side it is best to introduce people strictly to bitcoin and avoid shit coin if they insist on shit coin investment advice then their own research will be needed for that.

In a third-world African country, Nigeria operated by Female CEO. Hello, friends am from Nigeria a country where government regulation on cryptocurrency is flexible according to the law,
I think you have forgotten when the Nigerian government placed a ban on cryptocurrency transactions on the 5th of February 2021 and revisited on the case on the 23rd of February where the then Nigerian CNB governor  Mr Godwin Emefiele, explained reasons for restricting financial institutions from engaging in crypto transactions. Crypto is not flexible in Nigeria because personally i have seen cases of crypto operators arrested and prosecuted.

Quote
the CBN which is the apex central bank warns against the risk involved in it and advise Nigeria to be careful, but Nigeria is one of the highest in terms of cryptocurrency adoption according to statistics. With the decentralized nature of Bitcoin that have Thousands of Nigeria Citizens who have knowledge of blockchain and digital currencies and have adopted it,
Nigerians had to adopt the risky investment option from crypto to held stand up to the high inflation rate in the country

In December 2021 I launched a campaign among crypto friends to adopt Bitcoin as a mode of payment in our venture and outlets, on 31st of January I open a Coffee shop and the Capital City Abuja for Bitcoin and none Bitcoin customers. This is aimed at promoting Bitcoin adoption and, as a newbie member here, I wish to see your advice and suggestions.
A nice risk taken but ensure you to make enquiries on how safe it is to carry out Bitcoin transaction in Abuja. Campaigning about bitcoin is the ultimate at the moment because it gives total privacy to the holder but staying safe while doing what is right is more important
1211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: June 01, 2022, 08:18:17 PM
Somehow Erik ten Hag will make a difference for Manchester United, because if I consider the other teams they look better. Therefore, I'm not sure Erik ten Hag will quickly bring success to Manchester United, but if Erik ten Hag can really make good and fast changes then surely Erik ten Hag cannot be underestimated. Because at this time there is still no solid evidence, then I personally will not have high hopes and will still wait for the results when the new season starts.
I read today that Manchester United have formed a transfer budget and it is about 140 million, Erik Ten Hag also wants to sell some players to increase this budget. I also don't think that should expect quick results, but I like his style, he likes fast attacking football and I think it's appropriate in the Premier League. I watched his interviews and I like his attitude, I like that he is demanding on the players and demands the maximum return on the field. Let's see how that plays out.
It is best and safer we don't raise high hopes yet. success is a gradual process. I just hope Ten Hag will be allowed to manage the team without interference. In the main time some players need to be sold off so he can have the best of Manchester united i am glad Cavani and pogba is leaving i hope the likes of Rashford, Maguire, Elanga even Mata and Matić should be sold off. The club needs complete recycling
1212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: June 01, 2022, 07:22:09 PM
The rivalry between Real Madrid and Barcelona in this season was very interesting. When Barcelona had Ronald Koeman, they were struggling a lot because of his system mostly. This was a big opportunity for Real Madrid to win an El Clasico in Camp Nou and they didn't turn it down by winning 2-1. However Barcelona's revenge was really hard.  Grin  Thanks to Xavi, they started to play completely different and way stronger than before. As a result, they destroyed Real Madrid in Santiago Bernabeu as well by 4-0. It was a shocking result to me frankly. I believe the rivalry will continue to get fiercer by next season.

The team's performance has improved since Xavi took over as Barcelona's coach. First, he changed the team's match strategy. Secondly, he has bought some talented players for his team. He has added players like Aubameyang and Toress to his squad. With their cooperation, Barcelona is becoming more stable and strong. As a result, they won El Clasico. If Barcelona can take Lewandowski in next season, they will be stronger.
Going for Aubameyang  was a nice move because even before Xavi took over from Ronald Koeman Barcelona was lacking strickers because Dembele was only a supportive striker in which He hardly scored. Aubameyang was a perfect complement for the team. If  Robert Lewandowski closes his deal with Barca then Barcelona will become too formidable in the laliga
1213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 winner - Real Madrid! on: June 01, 2022, 07:04:56 PM
I don't know who sold the " Real Madrid are so lucky" idea to everyone. I understand the English media wanted Liverpool to win so bad.  Although Real Madrid do take few shots and score in most games even in the final too. All tactics and formation are valid provided you can win your game. It's not Real Madrid's fault that their opposition will take 10 shots and none will enter back of the net.
Real Madrid only had 3 shots on target in which  one was offside what else will you call such win if not luck? LFC made a total of 29 shots and 9 was on target i will rather give credit to T.courtios not the full Madrid team. Madrid played nice game in the second half but still couldn't make much attempts. If Mane's woodwork and Sallah's attempts had gone in the story we are telling will not be the same
1214  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you using trading indicators? on: May 31, 2022, 09:23:27 PM
I have used RSI, Bollinga band and Moving Average but i came to discover i interpret moving averages and RSI better. Although sometimes this indicators move faster or slower than the trend which will require setting back this indicators to suit the market formation. But in all indicators are helpful it either support a trend or show a possible reversal which might not occur immediately. I see indicators as a key part of market analytical tool
1215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: May 31, 2022, 08:05:06 PM
ST Etienne this season was relegated after staying in ligue 1 for more than 17 years, so far we know ST Etienne as a club that is quite elite and has many achievements in ligue 1 and it is not uncommon for ST Etienne to be able to end the season in the European zone with no star players, but this season, bad luck has overshadowed them because they have only been able to win 7 games out of 38 matches,  so minus the points they get them to  be elegated through play-offs, while Auxere seems to have had quite a lucky this season, with their hard work they succeeded  securing a one position to be in  ligue 1 next season, despite facing a stronger team, but auxere were indeed much better in that match and they deserved to be in the one place in the french league, but frankly i'm a little doubtful if auxere will be able to stay in league 1 for several seasons.
Existing more than 17 years is not easy and I think best performance with St. Etienne how come he can stay on Ligue although have over in this season, but bad performance in this season from 38 games played only get 32 points i think very poor performance from St. Etienne. Just getting 7 time winning, 11 match draw and 20 match have loss make St. Etienne have to face with play off round against Auxerre. Right now after relegation they have prepare for next season and soon as possible back to Ligue 1 again with more stronger than this season.
ST Etienne might return back to league 1 after the relegation stronger and better i really can't lay hold of what caused their poor performance hovering around the relegation zone right from the start of the season and achieving only 7-wins, 11-draws and 20-loses which landed them 32 points for the season. Auxere  might come with surprises their dedication and team work has earned them a slot in the league 1 and they might fight harder to secure this even for a longer season
1216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 31, 2022, 07:48:47 PM
Kylian Mbappe certainly has a strong reason to stay even though Real Madrid offered the same thing

Im going to break this down for you.

The amount of money offered to Mbappe is not the same. God knows what PSG offered him behind the scene thats not including what they offered to his family. Also the fact that PSG willing to do anything for him show that he has better spot in PSG rather than in Real Madrid for sure. Aside from that, He is still young and by the end of his contract he will only be 25-26 years old and he is free to go another club.
Mbappe might end up regretting why he didn't leave for Madrid He just proved to his fans he value money more than his career. I don't care what PSG might have offered him judging from last season's performance he should understand they hardly played as a team and him been a game maker and game changer needs a club that plays as a team and not some bunch of self driven players.  you might think he is still young but remember career can be altered at young age as well
1217  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Before Bitcoin education, teach your children cyber security education. on: May 31, 2022, 07:18:52 PM
It is a nice move but there are stages of education. There are some sensitive information that should be withheld while introducing school aged children to monetary system. They get exited too easily about new things and will always want to boast around their friends (a thing of pride for them) i cases like this they can get cartoon like concept about Bitcoin learning a broad concept in a fun way without really knowing how much knowledge they have been able to grasp.

It's not weird letting your kids know about bitcoin at an early school age range but making them go through the stress of conversion and monetary evaluation might deprive them of their childhood fun. Instead a Bitcoin cartoon or animation can be used instead to pass the information in a fun way
1218  Economy / Economics / Re: Food crisis coming? What's wrong about it? It could be good on: May 31, 2022, 07:05:25 PM
There is no challenge currently under the sun that doesn't have an alternative. I admit food crisis will be severe  in underdeveloped and developing countries particularly Africa. But one thing about food scarcity is that it opens way for improvised form of survival.

My problem is not with the increase in population but rather the negligence of Agriculture. Increase in population is meant to equal increase in man power and productivity but it seems the reverse is the case. But once an outright food scarcity sets in there will be need to return to Agriculture which has been the original source of African sustenance before civilization set in
1219  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Silent payments on: May 30, 2022, 05:30:17 PM
My layman summary: Silent payments allow me to post an "address" on a public website, and someone can pay me without anyone else knowing they paid me. If that's correct, this is brilliant!

That is correct, but remember, it *only* works if the address is received from exactly once (and is marked as "spend immediately in the next transaction").

Otherwise, it just becomes a fancy method of generating a single, normal, address from a privkey, nothing else.

Does it imply if there are multiple transaction on the address even when the sender and receiver alone knows about the transaction there is still no privacy? I was thinking if no one else knows about the transaction since it's silent payment then a strong privacy is established. I will like to know more about the "fancy method of generating a single, normal, address from a privkey, nothing else."
1220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA Finals 2022 - Warriors vs Celtics. on: May 30, 2022, 05:09:00 PM
Lets discuss game 1.

Current point spread now is -3.5 for the Warriors, they are playing at home and have never lost a single game. I think it's an easy call, even if they are the public play, I still think they'll win this game.

Also, the total is only 211, over is easy here, hopefully not a trap.

It should be an easy win by the goldenstate Warriors at home but Boston Celitcs have already won several times at away games in the playoff series so i wouldnt be surprised much if they won again. Also that line for over/under will be rough. Celtics are good at defence while Warriors are deadly in attack
You feel it will be an easy win sake of the home-court advantage? The last game Goldenstate Warriors had with Boston Celtics was in 1963-1964 season when  Golden State Warriors were the San Francisco Warriors. This will be a big time revenge for Boston Celtics even as the play away and has you highlighted they have won several times in away games in the playoff so there is possibility Celtics give their all to win
