541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: February 04, 2024, 02:32:01 PM
I don't usually gamble while working but I do make price predictions on freebitco.in once a month and I don't see if it's a working day or not.
So that doesn't count I guess since I am not actively gambling while at work. It should be an prohibited act though.
Work is worship and people should focus on work rather than entertainment at work.

Yes, gambling is entertainment, we should agree on that in the first place. It's not your additional job where you make extra money, it's just entertainment, that's all. Now, we have a certain amount of time for our entertainment each day, and it's not during the working hours. I'm not trying to say that one should gamble each day, I just want to say that each day you have time for that besides your work.
542  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Alter Ego In Gambling on: February 04, 2024, 12:26:25 PM
~
A simile explaining the situation indeed. Gambling does bring in a rush of emotions and thus a number of neurohormonal changes in the body. This leads to a primal state of the body to reawaken which has been kept in control by years of civilization. It should be kept in control though, because the bad effect is that the casino is taking the control over you if you lose yourself in such manner.

It does not happen to everyone but it happens to many and not just in gambling, but in games involving a lot of emotional flow, these things are not uncommon.

And surely it was kept in control for a reason. Those individuals that are too risky could die without giving birth to offspring and their genes wouldn't be transmitted further. So, if our Alter Ego in gambling is some unhinged character from the distant past, we better keep him in control, just in case. Smiley

Right, right, and that's what I'm afraid of at the moment. I don't want to tumble down from the heights I've climbed through such hard efforts. What I want is climbing further up, and, I can't believe it myself, but I did manage to make that one step up recently Smiley

Yeah and I'm falling down once more with that Union crap haha. We all deserve where we are, and I'm at least able to say I'm losing to some of the really veteran players in this forum. Just wish I could wring a bit more out of Freiburg, I think the problem with them and Union is I have an unshakeable bias with their players. And when I go against them, as I did with Union, they actually win. Goddamn =)

And now I'm one position down

I've noticed that it's especially hard to hold your position when you are a the top. I hope today's games will improve my position

I've just changed the score from 2-0 to 3-1 in the last game, but whether it was the right move we'll only see later today.
544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take time to read the terms and conditions of casinos before registering? on: February 04, 2024, 11:35:59 AM
Basically, I don’t spend time on this because it’s one thing to find a specific answer to the question that interests me (deposit deadlines, withdrawal deadlines and other utilitarian things) and another thing to read sheets of text in legal language, which are written only to correspond to what something to the norm. For me, the reputation of the casino is much more important and not what they have in their ToS.
Plus, in general, I don’t understand what you can find in the ToS (except for really utilitarian questions) - there are notes everywhere * about changing conditions, the right of the casino to change the ToS at any time, and so on.

It means you do read the terms and conditions, you don't ignore them, right? And that was the question in the OP. As gamblers, we could be ignoring ToS completely, relying totally on luck, hoping that we won't suffer much from not reading them. But that wouldn't be the right approach. You are right, maybe it's boring to read the whole text at once, and it's better to look for the part which interests you at the moment, but at some point it may be too late, so, maybe it's better to read all that in advance.

Seriously? you get maxwin up to 5x a week? that's crazy guys. Now it's very difficult to get Maxwin on PP, the last time I got maxwin was about 2 years ago. Pragmatic slot machines are now brutal

Yes I did, maybe you can find the screenshot in this thread because I believe I've shared it here as well as in duelbits ANN thread since I won it at duelbits before the pandemic if I remember it correctly. You are right that it is getting harder now to hit max win on Pragmatic games, but I think my luck is already over on this provider so I hit no more max win for so long time but of course it is also because I played less than before. Basically Fruit Party can be said as the game which give more frequent max win, in one casino there are at least 2-3 players who get max win every day based on the lucky win information. I hit max win in this game as well once long time ago at rollbit.

Hey, thanks for your post! After reading it I decided to play Fruit Party a bit, and I won Free Spins immediately and won $6.47 out of my 20 cents bet:

But then I saw that there's Fruit Party 2

and I decided to try it. Again, I won Free Spins within the first couple of spins. And then with these crazy multipliers within the free spins

I won sensational $39.12 in the end:

again from only 20 cents bet. Here's the re-play:

https://replay.pragmaticplay.net/ONg9pc7Jlm

almost 200x of my bet. I'm happy. Smiley

547  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one did you use to gamble with more on: February 03, 2024, 02:42:16 PM
I have been involved in both pre-match betting and in-play and I will say my preference is on pre-match betting. The reason is that I prefer to research and check the stats of a game before making an informed decision about the game to get the best odds. I also don't have the time to bet on live games my time is always planned so I place my bets before the start of the game. In-play is characterized by changing odds and a gambler may not get the best value for his stake compared to betting before the game.

I too prefer pre-match betting, but sometimes betting on live games is so much fun. Like, look at one of my recent bets:

When in the second half of the game the score was 1-1, I bet on the weaker team winning in the away game, and they won! I will be still doing pre-match betting most of the time, but once in a while I'm gonna spoil myself with live betting too. Smiley
548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does casino streamers have influence in your gambling life? on: February 03, 2024, 01:27:36 PM

~ It is difficult to trust people like that, because one clearly always looks for the best, so that one can be trusted to play but no, there is always something that does not add up and that can be treated in a bad way. So sometimes it is better that you do the relevant research yourself, and that there is no other way to do things, because when we are looking for something to do and how we can face a casino, to comply with its KYC and everything, well we have We have to do the respective research, but of course in the forum things will change, because there are threads Ann, because we realize that the casino has problems, what are their problems, how they treat players who have drawbacks, all this is based on that we are thinking people and that we can easily go to bitcointalk and look for reviews that are really worth it.

You mean like what? Like that they are winning big amounts while we ourselves are always losing? It's just chance, you know. We see the videos where they are winning, while there were many others where they were losing, but those videos are not that interesting to watch. They could be wrong about this or that with NFT, because those were predictions, and no one can predict everything accurately, but I think those influencers play slots honestly, and what we see in their streams is we can expect if we were playing ourselves.
549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: February 03, 2024, 01:03:48 PM
There are many disadvantages of excessive gambling that we need to talk about, and I do hope that newbies who plan to start gambling will learn something from this thread.

Gambling is not for everyone, some people tend to always get attached to whatever they do in their lives, too caring, too foodie, too protective, all these comes with disadvantages too, because I believe that too much of everything is bad.

Playing for fun, that's the main point!

The problem with young people today is that they are starting to play with the wrong mindset about games....
Even before they become addicted, they already have problems with games because many are seeing them as a source of income, a possible way to survive for the rest of their lives with gambling alone.
~

Not only young people are like that. Although according to stats pathological gambling tend to decline markedly with age, there are a lot of people above 50 that are problem gamblers. I'd say about those people that they haven't grown up. That even though they are above 50 by physical age, their mental age is well below 20. All these years haven't given them any wisdom. That's a shame. It's never too late, though. You can start educating yourself after 50 too. Wink
550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another health benefit of online gambling on: February 03, 2024, 12:30:22 PM
~ Betting with online gambling firms will shield you from contracting communicable diseases because you are all alone in a comfortable atmosphere. My neighbor's behavior has made me focus only on crypto casinos because I am scared of my health. Don't get me wrong there are many well-built and very comfortable physical casinos that offer quality services, but when you are an online gambler you will not need to worry about the health concerns of fellow gamblers.

I absolutely agree with you, in the current situation with all those pandemics around, an online casino is the best choice. Besides, you are not lured to gamble more by nobody. No one gives you more alcoholic drinks, smiles at you seductively and stuff like that that often happens in the land-based casinos. I wouldn't recommend going even into very comfortable physical casinos, let alone those stuffy places that you described.

We have only 4 days left until 31st of January 2024. I placed two bets on Bitcoin price this time

~
These are good bets, but I am still hopeful for the price between $40K to $45K because this bounce back which bring price at this figure is good and things are also looking favorable to keep this figure for long time now we are in 28th January with again we are above $42K mean very rare chance for this price to touch again because my personal feeling is now this is going to stay here, and we are going to be better in coming days.
Now we have Sunday, and then we will have just few days left and weekend could be not near which mean things are favorable to stay above $40K, now it's time to wait and check how things gone for the punters which are expecting it's going to be under $40K in coming days.

And you were right while I was wrong. I lost both of my "good bets". It's good I wasn't betting too much.
I got the consolation prize though:

It happened 3 days ago

and I was so happy to win this rare prize from the Wheel of Fortune! I really hope to win one the even more rare prizes on the WoF one day, like that Amazon Gift Card or iPhone or Rolex, why not? Smiley

Since we already can bet on Oscars on Sportsbet.io, I made my first bet yesterday:

I think the chances for Anatomy of A Fall to get the Best Picture are small, but not that small as the multiplier would imply.
Great movie but I'd be shocked if it won the Oscar for Best Picture.

Right, for me personally it's hard to imagine the Motion Picture Academy giving the top prize to such a movie as Anatomy of A Fall, but it happened before. Parasite, a great movie, but no one expected it winning Best Picture, and yet it won. Smiley

~
I personally have no skin in the game so I hope you win, Betwrong.

Thank you! I hope so too. Smiley

Interesting thing happened to me recently when I was betting on LIVE match Ipswich Town vs Maidstone United. Half of the game through I noticed that even though Maidstone United was winning 0-1, bettors were so confident of Ipswich's victory on their home ground that the odds for Maidstone to win were 6.03:

So, I placed a small bet with those odds, but 10 minutes later Jeremy Sarmiento from Ipswich made it 1-1, and it seemed that everyone who doubted Maidstone United's victory was right. The odds for them winning the match became 30.00. But I was thinking, since I placed a bet on them with 6.03 odds, why not to place one with 30.00 as well? So I placed one, and it wasn't a wrong bet

as it turned out. Smiley

This is an epic win! This game is from Money Train by Relax Gaming right? Their games is really awesome in terms of gameplay and effects but it’s strange that I can’t play this provider after Bitcasino update their website design to a larger tiles for the slot icon.

Can you still play on any slot game using handheld devices by just clicking the slot game icon? I can’t play any game because it’s not clickable and the only way for me to play is to open in new tab or right click on it and click open. This happened after the update on image. Just checking if this error on my side is in general or on my device only.

Thank you, that's right it's Money Train 3 by Relax Gaming. Overall, I love all slots from the Money Train series, but if to pick one of them it's Money Train 2 because I won more than 100x of my bet on that slot many times.

Yesterday and today I played Razor Shark by Push Gaming because of the unusual stats for this slot: 1,401% and 261% accordingly:

I didn't win anything big, but with those small wins

it was fun overall. Smiley

[$3,000] Royal Club of Originals Week 69|Keno

0.03 USD minimum bet amount (in any currency).

Win a bet with the exact 100x multiplier on medium risk following the pattern from our Giveaway page:

https://stakecommunity.com/topic/86368-%F0%9F%92%B03000-royal-club-of-originals-week-69keno%F0%9F%A4%A1/

This time, no matter how hard I tried, I didn't manage to get that 100x. I think it was several hundreds tries in total. There were multiple 10x like this one

but druring more than 30 minutes of playing, 100x didn't appear even once. So, I dropped it and switched to another challenge run by magnificent SanjaT,  Slots Forum Challenge | Week 27, and I've had some success there with Book of Huli slot by Truelab.

First I won 10 Free Spins

and then another 10 Free Spins within those free spins, and with 20 free spins I won a pretty good amount out of my 20 cents bet:

It was 555.50x of my bet

and I can't be not happy about it. Smiley
555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: stop the unnecessary blame on gambling whenever you get unlucky on: January 31, 2024, 09:46:28 AM

A lot of people have been clamoring about how gambling has ruined their life but same gambling has set some people up for life, just like every other form of investment there must always be a profit or a loss.  And life is so balanced that what works for Mr A might not be the same that works for Mr B. Likewise in gambling,  while some are crying about their loss they are some who are smiling and celebrating their win.
Gambling has been seen as a very dangerous thing base on some people's point of view here in the forum whereas in reality it has given some people the capital to start what ever business they want to do. My point in this post is that we shouldn’t just paint gambling all black because some people have fail to stick to the discipline of gambling.
I believe that before one make a decision in life, they should've already weighed the consequences of making the right or wrong choice, then put their fate on luck coupled with their little knowledge concerning what they're about to decide on, so why complain and play the blame game when things go wrong? "Share your thought on how gambling has come through for you if you got any".

Although for some people gambling indeed has given the capital to start whatever business they want to do and for others the money they could live from during the rest of their lives, no one should count on the same fate. We should be aware that it's possible and may hope that it will happen to us too, but we must know the probability of us losing is slightly higher than that of winning. And then later, if we lose, we shouldn't blame anyone but ourselves, because we knew that that was the most probable outcome.
556  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you blame someone for your gambling losses? on: January 30, 2024, 01:54:48 PM
Yes I agree with what you said. We are adults. We are responsible for our own decisions. Any input and suggestions from outside are only as information for us to make decisions. And when you have made a decision, everything is at your risk. Just like when a friend tempts you to gamble and you become addicted, that is your own responsibility and fault. Unless you are able to prove it like your friend is forcing you and threatening you to gamble.

Yes, but I think it's more of a psychological and emotional behavior in their part that's why they tend to blame someone, and can't take their losses. But there could be also others to take their responsible for their losses.

Or it could be something that we call self-preservation. I mean it could mean that individuals will likely protect themselves, not just in gambling, but anything in life and not attributed the bad decisions they made to themselves.

I think it's more more complicated. Engaging in gambling is not like jumping out of the bridge, you know. Someone might think that he wants to gamble because of self-preservation. If he owes someone $1,000 and is told that he'll be killed if he will not pay by tomorrow, but he has only $200 at the moment, he'll try to make $1,000 through gambling "out of self-preservation". I'd suggest to pay $200 and promise to pay the rest later, But, of course, if he cares about his self-preservation he shouldn't be dealing with such people in the first place.
557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What You will do in this situation? on: January 30, 2024, 12:12:43 PM
We all love a good thrill, right? That's why we dig sports. The competition, the unexpected plays, the chance to see our team pull off an underdog victory – it's like a rollercoaster ride, but with the potential to win some cash on the side.

Now, I'm not saying ditch the slots entirely (although, your wallet might thank you later). But what if you guys mixed things up? Catch a game together, grab some beers, and throw down a friendly little bet. You can explain the odds, the strategies, the whole shebang in a way that's fun and informative. Who knows, he might just discover the excitement of outsmarting the bookies instead of chasing Lady Luck on those spinning reels.

Well, as far as I know, no one has found a way to outsmart bookies so far, so, his chances are slim. In fact, luck plays big part in sports betting, a much bigger part than many gamblers want to admit. It's understandable in a way. When you win you want to think it was because of your skills rather than luck. Because your skills are always with you and thus you can win more in the future, while you can't keep good luck around forever.
558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: January 30, 2024, 11:48:36 AM
~ People lives and opportunities gotten in life varies. Some people are just more lucky than others and it’s just the way life is. There are people who have won considerably more than others, there’s no doubt about that and I agree. But I don’t think an individual could be so lucky and go on to have more wins than losses through out his entire gambling history.
No matter how lucky you a gambler is, I don’t think it could happen and I haven’t really heard anyone who actively gambles having more wins than losses. If someone like that happens to exist, that’s a lucky person for sure.

Why, of course there are such people. It's a known fact that there are many of them in poker, but some people succeed in even purely luck-based games like lottery for example. Some lucky people win millions in lottery, but it's hard to imagine that the same people lost millions during their gambling career. Same happens to some gamblers with slots. And slots and lottery are not the only games where this is possible. You can win more than a million on minesweeper or Roulette.

You are welcome! Here's another one:

You won't get every prize, but frequent participation will bear fruit one day. Wink Good Luck!

Yes, it's true that this time it's much more interesting, it's no longer guessing slot games which sometimes I can't follow because I've never played slot games so it's not difficult to guess, but this giveaway looks like Roobet is in the comments of @MrBeast's Tweet which is holding a giveaway too and It seems very easy for us to take part in both events at the same time as @MrBeast and at the same time take part in the free money giveaway from Roobet, at least we have the opportunity to do two events at once.

Even though I've never won this at least I often try to participate, after all, I don't sweat, just do the conditions which are easy to follow, anyone can take part, just by following and reposting, including commenting on Roobet posts there, happy to participate again in the Roobet event, they should do it more often. like this and not guessing slot games too, so everyone who doesn't like slot games can also follow and participate in the giveaway on their twitter. whoever is in this forum community who participates in this event, I wish you luck

Exactly. Like I said above, it's a free lottery ticket, that is. And how much more you can win playing with those money on Roobet is unimaginable. Smiley

I'm wondering, can there be a casino that survives thanks to advertisers and keeps the house edge at zero?

I don't think so. As you well deduced, I was thinking about expenses when I said that, but not only: all business is meant to make money. A casino where income and expenses were the same wouldn't be profitable, and I don't think that would make any sense, except for a non-profit project, very atypical in the gambling industry.

That's why 50/50 wouldn't work for most casinos.

But it could work for those making money on advertisement, no? If a big company like Coca-Cola was paying a million USD per year to a popular gambling site, I think they could survive without the house edge. They could arrange the creation of 100% RTP slots with known slot providers, the same slots only with higher RTP, and imagine how popular that site could be. I'm not saying that all people could make money there, in fact, only slightly more than usually, but 100% RTP would attract many gamblers, I'm sure.
