541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [AM] AeroME - Decentralized Marketplace Exchange on: April 12, 2017, 01:56:31 PM
Our team obtained many of the cryptocurrencies that were frozen on Cryptsy's servers when the exchange collapsed. The AeroME wallet.dat was among those recovered.

We are now in the process of giving these wallet files back to their respective communities. The wallet has not been inspected and it's unknown if it contains any coins. If you are a developer of this coin, or a longstanding community member, you can file a request for the wallet in this thread: https://www.gldtalk.org/index.php?topic=3789.0

545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: GoldCoin™ (GLD) Thread - The Gold Standard of Digital Currency [OFFICIAL THREAD] on: April 09, 2017, 06:12:48 PM

Sunday Meeting April 09th Highlights

1.  Zendesk live chat added to trygoldcoin.com. This improves customer experience by providing live support in real time.

2.  Cometchat added to gldtalk.org replacing iflychat.

3.  Altcoins from the cryptsy sale continue to fly off the shelf. I updated the master list Exhibit B today to accurately reflect the remaining currencies.

4.  Getting requests for SPV wallets to improve customer experience using Goldcoin in desktop. If someone would like to contribute to this project, we can get a thread started on gldtalk.org.

5.  Something we've been missing and discussed before is a marketing presence. This problem was addressed this week with the addition of Steve Conley to the Goldcoin team. http://www.gldcoin.com/about/

Quote
Steve Conley serves as National Marketing Director. He has decades of experience in sales, marketing, and entrepreneurship. His experiences include owning and operating an Internet Hosting company,  serving as an agent in international boxing productions, and  international events production that includes the largest AIDS awareness concert  ever produced (Nairobi, Kenya - over 500,000 attendees).   He  owns We Care Worldwide, an entity that helps raise funds for numerous causes, and an internet-based  travel agency.

6.  Goldcoin added to the accepted currencies at coinpayments.net. Goldcoin integration underway on drgerald.net.

7.  Volume on c-cex and bittrex are down. We need to keep close eye on these levels to ensure we remain complaint with listing requirements. C-CEX is .2 BTC daily volume and Bittrex is .5 BTC daily volume.

8.  Looking into making a fork of the bitcoin insight API which will enable us to use the cryptowoo cryptocurrency plugin for woocommerce. Please see gldtalk.org forum thread for more information or if you would like to contribute to the project.

9.  The team is working with new community member dashed-slug to develop a Woocommerce solution that will utilize the coinpayments.net API.

My understanding is the developers get a large percentage of the block reward.

Is there a report available where we can learn how these funds are being utilized?

Can someone sell me some DEV please? https://www.coingather.com/exchange/DVC/LTC

We think this currency has a lot of potential and would like to have a stake for incentive. Cheesy

Moving a slab of dvc there now

Keep moving slabs please. I'd like to pick some up as well! Cheesy

It's great to see this thread returning to life. Smiley Kiss

Devcoin has a long history w/ obvious potential benefit for the entire crypto community. I wonder if getting it listed on Bittrex would be a good idea? I'd be glad to help share in the cost of a Spotlight listing.
550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: GoldCoin™ (GLD) Thread - The Gold Standard of Digital Currency [OFFICIAL THREAD] on: April 01, 2017, 03:23:05 PM
ive build my own pool for this coin and whats my suprise in 38 blocks found 19 are orphans 50% orphans....
is everybody getting this rate??!!

This is due to our 51% defense system. Hashrate must be applied slowly over time or the result will be a large orphan count.
551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★[ANN] [NAV] NAV COIN - NAVTECH NOW DECENTRALIZED! on: March 30, 2017, 10:56:11 AM

552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DIMEcoin l community take over l updated everyday on: March 28, 2017, 06:51:38 PM
Please disregard my previous post.

After further consideration, the team/investment group has decided to focus 100% on the Goldcoin (GLD) cryptocurrency. I did notice that Dimecoin is no longer marked for delisting on C-CEX.

Congratulations and best of luck to your coin and community moving forward. Smiley

553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: GoldCoin™ (GLD) Thread - The Gold Standard of Digital Currency [OFFICIAL THREAD] on: March 20, 2017, 04:56:54 PM

If you are a Cryptsy account holder and are unable to access your Goldcoin, you could get money from two different class action settlements. If you have not done so, you should file a claim immediately: http://www.cryptsysettlement.com/

The deadline for submitting a claim form is May 17th, 2017.

As part of our continued effort to support the community, the Goldcoin team has also raised money to create an internally funded compensation program that will match paid claims in the above action(s). To be eligible for this internal program, you must submit a claim at the link provided above and provide proof of receiving a paid claim from the above action(s).

There will be restrictions and limits TBD on the individual amounts paid by this separate internally funded claims matching program. Our goal and objective is to provide as much relief as possible to those adversely affected by Cryptsy's abrupt closure.

Perhaps one of the bright lights in all of this has been the valuable lesson that it is generally considered not best-practice to store funds long-term on a crypto exchange. Smiley
554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Increase Minimum Transaction Fee W/ 2MB Blocks? on: March 19, 2017, 03:37:20 PM
Anyone else with thoughts on this proposal?

The unlimited idea seems too far in the direction of another extreme.
555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Increase Minimum Transaction Fee W/ 2MB Blocks? on: March 09, 2017, 02:23:13 PM
What about this?

I was thinking that could help reduce spam (by making it more expensive) why simultaneously relieving current network congestion.
556  Economy / Services / Re: Earn .015 BTC by Testing New Mac OSX Wallet! :P on: March 08, 2017, 11:44:10 PM
Sorry for the 'spam' post but I'm really interested in testing this new wallet out.

Unfortunately I'm running 10.11.4 so I'm guessing that won't be possible, correct ?

Best of luck with your wallet anyhow!

I'm not knowledgeable in the area of MACs but I think it might be possible to update the OS depending on your hardware?

Yes, I can do so.

If I can reserve a spot I'll work on updating my Macbook straight away.

Let me know!

Okay. You are the second tester! Cheesy  You guys can just send me a PM if you have any questions.

~~

I'm going to lock this thread now and will reopen it if something happens and one of the original testers is unable to complete his work.

May I reserve? How long will it take?

It could take a couple of hours to sync the blockchain. Then sending and receiving transactions have to be tested.

ok let me know when I can do this job.

Okay. You are the first tester. Please let me know if you have any trouble getting an account on the forum.

Then when the client is synced, I can send you some GLD for testing.

Our developers are working on building a new MAC wallet and we're looking for 2 testers.

https://www.gldtalk.org/index.php?topic=3775.0

We are paying .015 BTC for a complete test (sync, transaction test, etc.) of the wallet and write-up. The write-up must be posted in the thread on gldtalk.org.

If you would like to participate, please reserve a spot by replying to this thread. Please do not begin work until I give you the go ahead.

~~

Note: You must be running OSX 10.12 to test the wallet.
