5561  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook and blockchain on: May 12, 2018, 03:31:44 PM
Only rumors, but I see that this can be real (unicorns taking over crypto).
This would popularize blockchain and crypto to a new level, I think we are not so far from that anymore.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/facebook-exploring-making-its-own-cryptocurrency-media-report
Don't you think it is weird that they banned anything related to crypto currencies from their platform saying that they are all "deceptive" and now they are trying to make their own? I guess those are just rumours as the article says those are unconfirmed information. Or it might have to do something with using the blockchain technology but not making crypto currencies.
5562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy low and sell high is very tough on: May 12, 2018, 03:22:52 PM
It is hard for you to execute it and not making profit because you are doing it on the wrong time. It is always best to start investing smaller amount as soon as the price starts to dip. Slowly increasing your investment as the price drops further will actually reduce your risk of making loss and maximize your profit.
5563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it true that Google & Facebook launching Own Coin ?? on: May 12, 2018, 03:15:49 PM
Any reference or site where you heard that they are going to bring their own coin so we can read and verify it? I did a little bit googling and found nothing about facebook or google trying to create their own crypto currencies. Assuming how they started banning all crypto  related advertisement from their page, I doubt they will me making their own coins.
5564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why didn't Warren Buffett invest in Bitcoin? on: May 12, 2018, 11:18:51 AM
Do you really think he hasn't invested on bitcoin or any other crypto currencies? No investment on bitcoin but still showing a lot of interest (negatively) on it sounds fishy right? Most people believe that he have invested tons of money on bitcoin and is using his popularity to manipulate the market to benefit himself.
5565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in BTC, Altcoin, or ICO on: May 11, 2018, 09:22:04 PM
I would say avoid ICOs. They are too risky and most of them are just shit scammy ICO whose price will eventually fall as the tokens starts to get dumped once people realize how bad the ICO is. Best is to invest on Bitcoin or altcoins. Just spread your investment between this two and hold for a long time (or unless you have reached your profit goal). Less riskier than ICO.
5566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Learning Cryptocurrency in Universities? on: May 11, 2018, 09:14:56 PM
Do you think that cryptocurrency should be taught in schools or University? Specially in the field of business management?

As a student, I believe it will give us an advantage to this so called cryptoworld, right?
Would be more better if they teach what blockchain is and how the technology works. If they get to learn about blockchain, they can easily get hold of the concepts of crypto currencies. But still, crypto currencies are in their infant stage, so what we study now might end up changing rapidly in the future.
5567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where can I learn trading ? on: May 11, 2018, 09:11:08 PM
The forum wasn't like this before. It was filled with information and people genuinely wanted to help others in the forum to learn new things about crypto currencies. And then came ICOs and bounty programs which eventually led the forum to be a spam box. Tons of new shitty ICOs and airdrops are coming and most of the threads are all about those. You can learn from here, just google the specific topic you want in bitcointalk or you can create a new thread and ask questions. Also you will find different resources on the internet which will actually help a lot.
5568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty rewards Sell Immediately? or HODL! on: May 11, 2018, 02:13:22 PM
I have participated in a bounty campaign as of now. I am curious that when every ICO bounty rewards I join when it hit on an exchange after a day, the price of the token goes way below its price. As for me a bounty hunter, what is the best decision if I received my bounty rewards, do I need to sell it immediately? or hold it for more 2-5 months.
It depends if you should sell or hold. If its a good ICO project, then hold those coins. Do not sell them, even if the price starts to fall. The reason of the price starting to fall is many people are not aware of the potential of the project and ends up dumping their tokens. If it is really a good project, better you start buying when the price is low. The price will eventually recover and go up.
But if its a shit project, sell as soon as possible.
5569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bill Gates: "I will short Bitcoin if I could” on: May 11, 2018, 02:11:14 PM
👍👍

Recently, co-founder of Microsoft has stated on CNBC's "Squawk Box" :
-" kind of a pure 'greater fool theory' type of investment"
" I agree I would short it if there was an easy way to do it," Gates replied.
-Gates also added that someone once gave him some bitcoin for his birthday, but he sold it a few years afterward
- " As an asset class, you're not producing anything and so you shouldn't expect it to go up. It's kind of a pure 'greater fool theory' type of investment, "Gates said on CNBC's" Squawk Box. "

His statements made on CNBC turn out to be the truth according to financial research firm Autonomous Next. The firm said that Bitcoin price has an impressive rise from $2000 to $19,000 in mid –December but then lost more than half of its value and it was trading near $9,300 recently. Therefore, trading Bitcoin or any others cryptocurrency in long-term doesn’t seem to be a good ideal.
Like many critics of the increase in Crypto value, Gates did say the underlying blockchain technology had its merits.
It seems that Bill Gates is supporting the development of the blockchain but not so much for Bitcoin and digital currency. He even wants to shoot them if it’s possible.
What do you think?

Just sounds like another scheme where billionaires are trying to manipulate the market. Every statement he is saying expresses how badly he wants to manipulate the market. Didn't microsoft accept bitcoin once? Not sure if they do, but they used to. Just do keep in mind that whales are the one that easily manipulates the market but spreading FUDs for their own benefit.
5570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: HODLing will get you nowhere on: May 10, 2018, 11:20:23 PM
The past week, as I've been looking to invest in recently finished ICOs since most of their prices are way below ICO price, I noticed the same thing mentioned over and over in their telegram channels.

People screaming: HODL!!!  It will moon someday!!!!

Another one that is common: When BINANCE!?!?! If only we were on Binance!!!

This makes me laugh inside.  Crypto is not a magical place where all coins will eventually rise in value if you just hold on to them.

Most ICOs did very poorly the last 3 months.  The ones that did the worst were the ones that started in January
Now, a lot of these startups are underfunded and could only list in low volume exchanges and seeing their prices crash to ridiculously low prices.
And everyone is crying on their Telegram.

Listen very closely yo: The price will never rise if everyone HODls!

Prices are boosted through supply and demand and if a vast majority of people who own the coin are not trading it, than you are severely cutting in to that chain.

Instead of Hodling, you should be buying and making strategic trade choices.
You are just contradicting your own statements in many ways. First of all ICOs whose token price end up getting dumped and falling is usually due to the project being a total failure. Just look at all those successful ICOs. Their token price has rose significantly.
Next you are actually talking about supply and demand while also stating that if vast majority holds the price will never rise. Well, holding creates less supply which in turn creates higher demand. So you have to admit the fact that even after holding and creating shortage the price is low due to it being a shitty token.
5571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Long-term investment. on: May 10, 2018, 11:14:27 PM
How do you feel about long-term investment? Do you see the priorities in this? What do you think is the reason for this? Where to invest in your opinion?
I don't know how some one can "feel" long term investment. I guess you wanted to ask "what do you think about long term investment".
Well i think long term investment is quite better than short term and is less associated with risks in case of bitcoin and other crypto currencies. This is because, in the long run, the price of bitcoin will always tend to go up where as in the short term it will fluctuate up and down.
5572  Economy / Economics / Re: Stock Market and Bitcoin on: May 10, 2018, 08:58:11 PM
The concepts from stock market are applicable for trading Bitcoin ? Or I have to study crypto market specifically?
Those who are saying that stock market and bitcoin trading is the same thing actually has no clue how differently both works. It is true that few of basic principles are followed but not all. In terms of market, various factor affect the prices and volatility is an issue which changes the whole way of trading stock vs bitcoin.
5573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook banning All crypto ads!! on: May 10, 2018, 06:46:21 PM
It's not the first time facebook is censoring, this isr eally sad.  Undecided
With all those fraudulent ICOs and shit coins filling up facebook advertisements, they have no other option but to ban all advertisements related to crypto currencies. All those HYIP and ponze scheme  advertisements making innocent people fool is not something facebook will want all over their page.
5574  Economy / Economics / Re: A government can create a cryptocurrency ? on: May 09, 2018, 08:57:05 PM
Why would you use a crypto currency created and controlled by the government? We already have fiat currency, we will not be needing that garbage to be honest. The main reason people are using crypto currency is because it is decentralized and free from government control. As soon as the government starts controlling the currencies it ends up being a centralized currency, something everyone is trying to get rid of.
5575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will you sell litecoin, ethereum, ripple ?? on: May 08, 2018, 08:02:36 PM
At what price will sell litecoin, ethereum, ripple or when will you sell litecoin, ethereum, ripple ?

Post here even if you do not have litecoin, ethereum, ripple and you think the price at which litecoin, ethereum, ripple should be sold.
It actually varies from person to person. Most of them will be willing to sell their coins when you have reached their target profit. Others  who has no "target profit" will keep on holding until they see the market starting to fall, in order to max out their profit. They starting buying again as soon as they see the price going up.
5576  Economy / Economics / Re: Future of Cryptocurrency on: May 08, 2018, 07:44:19 PM
The future of currency is depend in people who can hold it and on how they can manage it and how they planning to make their currency or their bitcoin growing up.
If you thing that the future depends on holding the currency, then you are wrong and actually one of those guys who will eventually destroy the true use of crypto currencies. Bitcoin was made so that we can use it as a form of decentralized currency. Not just use it as an asset to store your value. The true potential of bitcoin will be seen by the whole world once people starts to use it as a currency.

5578  Other / Off-topic / Re: Isn't crazy how much does bitcoin exchange earn? on: May 06, 2018, 04:28:54 PM
All those money and they can even invest some on their support system? Most of the exchanges have the shittiest support system you will ever see. Just employing few more staffs to handle their customer support won't actually hurt them, but nope they won't do that.
Anyways, they do earn a lot, but they also spend a lot to cover their expenditures like upgrading their system, security and what not.
5579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to BUY? 10K $. on: May 06, 2018, 04:22:55 PM
Guys what is your suggestion for investing 10K$ in ALTCOIN?
I already Bought, BTC, ETH, NEBL, (75K$) Now I want to invest 10K $ More, What to BUY?
Stop taking peoples suggestions when you are about to invest your money on coins. This is your money and you decide how you want to invest. Most people will just tend to be biased towards the coin they have invested and will make you invest on that coin no matter how shit it is.
All I can do is give you some suggestions: Look for coins that are under values, coins that have great potential with good team and coins that are trending as top market.
5580  Economy / Exchanges / Re: TradeOgre on: May 05, 2018, 02:49:56 PM
Not seeing a thread here for TradeOgre.com so I though I'd start one.

Newish exchange, seems to focus on privacy coins, mostly cryptonight alts with tiny volumes.
Biggest markets are ETN-BTC and GRFT-BTC at this point. Seems to cater mostly to miners.

No email address. No way to contact support. whois shows whoisguard was used to hide registrants email address.

Anyone have any experience on this exchange?
You are saying they have no email address and there is no way to contact them? What do you think is going to happen? Obviously they are out there to scam people. A new exchange hiding all their information from public and does not even have an announcement thread anywhere is just waiting for unfortunate people to join their exchange and run away with their money and no way to trace them. Best is to avoid them!
