I've been told by support that my gridseed's (5 chips) should work... seems not to show up for me....

anyone try them yet?

@crackfoo, stand by on the gridseeds... The developers are refining the configs for them and hope to push them out today or early tomorrow. As soon as you see the gridseed option in the dropdown, you'll be good to go. Sorry for the delay.

sounds good. thanks

A big feature now would be the ability to mine separate pools with separate hardware devices.

Thanks!
5582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRS]Denarius|Scrypt|NoIPO|Block Explorer|Games|Giveaways|No Block Halving| on: May 30, 2014, 02:57:10 PM
Hello

I've been mining Denarius here today http://denarius.fedaykin.us/ because I really like this name and like the idea that the block contains 10 coin, not thousands, millions or billions to "make you reach faster than you'll realise it"... The diff changes are strange, the pool statistics showed me from about 40 to about 10 thousand Denarius a day changing in minutes, the diff was flowing up and down 10x a hour, with not very much change of pool and net hashrate. Finally none of my coins mined today (first autopayment from the pool was 10 hours ago) have arrived to my deposit address on allcoin.com for several hours...

Maybe its a perfect coin and too little miners are mining it... sure it's a good name and idea.

I have noticed this as well, It is being investigated, with the Allcoin Exchange Problem I couldn't tell you, Maybe they are on the Wrong Fork or holding them.

The problem is too little hash rate to move the block chain. KGW works great when you have lots of miners hammering at a coin, but when the hash rate drops to nearly nothing, it can cause problems moving the block chain. If the block chain is not moving, then the coins are not being confirmed at either the pools or exchanges.

Yesterday, for example, it took just over 21 hours to solve block 30955 with a difficulty of 4.6171. By the time the block was solved difficulty had dropped to 0.0008. Six more blocks were quickly solved and now the block chain is setting on block 30973 waiting for it to be solved with a network hash rate around 300K or so. If you do not get more hash power on the coin, it will die completely.

I thought about mining this coin (and I still may) but there needs to be something to get people excited about mining it. Sure, the logo is cool and the website looks great, but what are the long-term goals for Denarius? If you are just creating a coin for the sake of creating a coin, then it will never generate the following it needs to make it succeed.

Develop uses and applications for Denarius and spread the word about the exciting things to come and people will stop to take a longer look and mine it. Follow through with those plans and it will become a success.

Just my two-cents worth... I really believe Denarius has promise, if a few features can be added to it to create interest, value and a community.

Might want to look into using DigiShield instead of KGW...

anyone else get stuck paying for shipping. I had to pay the DHL guy 20 dollars to get mine

It not a shipping charge. If you're in Canada, we have the joy of paying import fees.

Guys, is "theminingpools.com" a scam pool?? I couldn't find a reliable pool to mine CGA, so started mining with 'em with more than 780 kH/s and it is more than 5 hours of mining (now stopped!) but I didn't receive a single cent in my coin wallet, though as stated on their website payouts are made every hour. So is there something wrong with this pool??

Thanks

Check out the P2Pools, they are on the right chain and working good:

Thanks for your input, coinflow. However I prefer MPOS/PROP pools. Smiley Do you've any reliable and stable pool(s) to suggest that mines CGA based on my search criteria??

Thanks

Mine has been stable PROP but not MPOS but not P2P either Smiley

Crackfoo, the website you referred isn't loading for me. Sad Any other alternative??

Thanks

it's my pool... its up and running...not sure why you can't get to it...

Like I've got 3 of the raspberry pi units...one of them controlling 3 Black widows, one controlling 2 furys and the other is basically testing 1 fury...any idea as to whether I can control all the units from a single account?  OR do I need 3 zenminer accounts? :/ I sent a support ticket, let's hope they answer soon! lol

Why don't you have them all hooked up to one zenMiner?

Glad to see pics going up

Got a favor to ask. I am meeting with the CEO of ZenMiner tonight. I would like to talk about the features our customers want and the order of priority.

Is someone willing to make a form that will allow people to add features and the ability to vote? If possible, we need to do it asap. This way I have it in time for the meeting.

Start some voting here if you like

You can add your own suggestion as well. Just fill it in, in the "other" section and it will get added.

Seem XenCoin.com site has expired.  I'm going to update your http://coinwik.org/XenCoin

coinwik.org is a wikipedia listing all the alt coins to help anyone quickly find facts and links about their favorite coin. If you guys also want to add few facts in your page, please do. Feel free to update it.

Guess you could add that the coin is dying?

Anyone have some screenshot of the zenMiner in action, hashing away with GAW hardware?

This guy did a neat job.

Thanks!  I rushed through it to get it up but I'm impressed with how easy it was.  Definitely a 1.0 product but I like it so far.  Here's what I would like to see:

1) Active Pool notification - I don't know what pool my miners are pointed at.
2) Hashrate graphs
3) Notification center if a miner goes down (even if I have 2-3 connected to 1 zenminer)
4) Multi pool support for multiple miners - The ability to point different asics at different pools within the same zenminer device.

yeah certainly very basic at this point. I was hoping you could already assign pools to devices...

You should be able too. I understand that any limitation would be at the raspberry pi side. Just  visit the raspberry pi at http://www.raspberrypi.org/ for some research and get back to us on how we can also do this Smiley

If we had access to the Pi itself with the zenMiner software loaded, sure.

Here is the exact quote from the email that I should have just tossed into my last post.

Quote from: Eric
In our effort to maximize quality control and the overall experience of our customers, all zenMiners are setup and configured at the seller's facility and then protected from alteration (root access) to ensure security and reliability. We did not include support for wireless devices because a wired connection to your miner is always going to be more reliable than wireless. I'm sorry if this causes any inconvenience to you.

Thats interesting my zenminer controller sd has the noobs image on it.....I am trying to figure out what I need to do at this point. Any suggestions? So much for plug and play with this.....

oh so even if we had a wireless usb.. we couldn't add it... thats a big drawback....

anyone in Canada know if you get charged import duties? Mine is now showing:

Awaiting authorization of/or advance duty payment from customer.

This is as far as I got:

http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/import/postal-postale/duty-droits-eng.html

But the page on GST reads that you owe import tax:

Any item mailed to Canada is potentially subject to duty and taxes. Although the GST was designed as a tax on the consumption of goods and services within Canada, imported goods are also subject to the GST because this ensures fair tax treatment for domestic products. Therefore, unless specifically exempted, you must pay the 5% GST on items you import into Canada by mail.

Wish I could give a more direct answer, the US has no import duties from China/HK on computer hardware so we're safe.  Hopefully the above site helps!

Thanks. I sometimes don't get hit with it but sometimes I do. Not sure why sometimes there's nothing, thought maybe it was who ws delivering it as I never had a DHL deliver before. For me they if they get me they hit me with 15% I guess since tax is 15%  where I live.

Had to pay $20~ per fury to get them released.

5600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚒[CGA] Cryptographic Anomaly - The Elusive Coin⚒ Update to 1.3.4.1 ASAP! on: May 28, 2014, 10:28:11 PM
Everyone please update! The most current version is 1.3.4.2 but the only difference between 1.3.4.1 and 1.3.4.2 is a checkpoint. The hardcoded nodes are still down so please share your peer info with others to help others sync. Any 1.3.4.x version should work but anything less (1.3.3.x) will be the wrong chain! UPDATE and resync if needed!

Do we have to BEG for this update?  Where can we find it? It's not in the site. It's not in the first page.

It IS on their website. Scroll to the bottom you'll see the links for all the platforms.

No it's not.  It's 1.3.4.1 . We already have this. Is it a kind of a game? Do we win something? Or just confusion.

That version is fine. If you pull the SRC you'll get 1.3.4.2

I need the binary!
I downloaded and ran 1.3.4.1,,, says "no block chain available".... what' the deal?
If you present a solution to a problem, make sure it SOLVES the problem and doesn't create a new one!
What is the correct solution?

some posts back they mentioned the hardcoded nodes were still down.

addnode=192.99.35.133

should get you moving a little.
