Robert Anton Wilson would be delighted. Behind every tinfoil hat there might exist at least references to subjects of legitimate interest. To be taken with a saltshaker.

None of the totalitarian characters trotted out in the "atheists have killed more people" fallacy, whether they were atheist or not, killed in the name of a lack of belief in a god.
None of those characters are atheists, because the belief in government is a theistic belief. Believing in government is believing in a god, so by definition it's not possible to be an atheist who believes in government.
THIS.
Also, the bigger they are the harder they fall. I abandoned ship on federal reserve notes years ago. They seem like slimy little unmoney debtmachines that you can only ever owe somebody in exchange for something you can either get for free or dont really need. Affluence creates a vaccumm around the affluent, preventing tech advances from benefeiting all living people. I would like to indulge my naiivety by imagining that the obsolescence of fiat will result of the obsolescence of its debts too.

Speculators who are in it soley to make themselves more USD are pumping capital into btc infrastructure. They'll realize their error.

You assume that it is an error.

I do. If they aren't putting those extra dollars back into getting bitcoins, I imagine that they must eventually change their minds or keep using fiat until they come around. Im assuming that the dollar is dying, of course. Its only an error if they sell out of btc.
It's only an error if they fail to make a profit. Speculators, believe it or not, add stability to the price, by turning volatility into profit.
It seems to me like a failure to make a btc profit is worse in the long run than failure to make a usd profit. Someone's got to determine an exchange rate, might as well be really usd-wealthy people.

Reread. Sounded like I meant pumping capital is error. did not mean that...

Note: I was directed here from BTCWorker and I'll vouch for it being awesome to the max.  Kiss
Edit: I would like to see more mobile options. Not having flash means that the 3 min bar pops up on its own, then delivers the reward 3mins later without loading the game.

MtGox is evil. Monsanto is evil in the same way. Hoarding bitcoin isnt sustainable. I feel its ultimately harmless because of mBTC and uBtc always keeping relative value.

Is LTC:bitcoin::coins:bills, or is my understanding way off base?
Branding is weird. Hail satan; evil isnt always bad.

This. Also I solve captchas for uBTC so far. Art squatting freeganism and hard mutual aid labor are cool too.

LOL, it's not everyday you witness a person supposedly retained to provide public relations services engaged in a full throated (if convoluted), public defense of her employer's use of racial slurs. Good show!

Let me go out on a limb by suggesting that MPOE-PR has never met a real public relations professional or perhaps there's just not much of substance going on in the MPOE organization.

Oh I know, I'm just a newbie nobody demonstrating my intellectual inferiority... or a scammer. You got it all figured out PR chick!

I think that according to the most recent bleedin' edgy research in the field of Internet telepathy your problem is something deep down and the cure is hugs. Or something like that anyway.

@kttn your quote is all messed up. I did not say what you quote me as saying (principally because it's a stupid defense of the entire "here is what I think on some topic I have no competence on" approach to communication).

THEYSEEMETROLLING THEYIGNORING. tryintocatchmefapping to aynrand tryintocatchme fapping to aynrand..
YOU SAID EDGY. LOLOLOLOL.

Back to the topic, Its easy to overlook what may very well be neat ideas when youre yelling at someone for using cursewords. Identifying implicit racism is more prodictive than finding explitives.

So now we're back to the topic of you making recommendations to me, while overlooking the fact that I'm by far the only pro PR on this forum and you have no credentials. Where do you get off, exactly?

I am saying that it is exactly how things should work. Everyone thinks he personally is worth two shits. Let him prove that rather than whine and solicit "empathy". The onus is on him.

Being a person is something you earn, not something you're born into.

Youre intelligent enough to see an arguement from authority here. You don't need to tell me what pro pr is, but if you did I might want to overlook some of that outoftheblue weirdness. Im tossing ideas about combatting racism back and forth. Ignore them, defeat them, whatever. Up to you. What I said about implicit ideological racism embedded in content being more harmful and more important to call out than pointing at surface cursewords is true and has no relation to anyone's credentials. Also, being a person is what you're born with. Being a happy or accomplished person is something you earn. Empathy gives us more information about something, and has helped to resolve innumerable conflicts.
So yeah. Meow.

It's not phishing.
Thx I learned something today.

There is no such thing as "meritless" property. Further, the presumption that you'd be in a position to judge the "merit" of others' property is unjustifiable intellectually and offensive politically.

What's next, "meritless" Bitcoin? He who has the key has the Bitcoin, that's the whole story. This is what property means, it is its own merit.

The type and degree of privelige one has is based only on peer's preconcieved ideas of an individual's cultural or group traits, and expectations thereof.

One can never and may never be judged by recourse to a group. This is essentially what racism is, judging one individual by recourse to a group.

Very valid point! Meritless property is an oxymoron. Unearned credit gets the idea across more clearly. Thx for pointing that out. I was less refering to owned posessions and more to traits.
Racism is a system that promotes unfounded gaps in privelige without always intending to. Much of it comes directly from racism- however there are many more types of traits that can cut someone off from the privelige of trust that are not related to race. We all have some sort of advantage in the eyes of some, of course it works the other way around too with disadvantages.
Im not condemning the system of privelige wholesale - good judgement of character based on educated assessments and sound values are great. I'm saying many of the factors that go into it are results of flawed thinking- like racism or bigotry.

572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Poll: How do YOU use Bitcoin? on: May 14, 2013, 10:54:50 AM
I'd say I hoard, but having less than 0.01BTC to my name isn't quite hoarding. I'm attemptimg to collect enough little by little to be able to use them.

574  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's your favourite Exchange and why... on: May 14, 2013, 10:26:34 AM
I have not and do not intend to purchase any bitcoins with dollars. If I were to buy btc for some currency Im not boycotting I'd avoid MtGox because it looks like a weak link. I like bitstamp I suppose, they seem somewhat off center target for attacks. Trading with someone Im friends with IRL would be ideal. Ruble exchanges are intriguing too. Blockchain.info has a cool looking buy btc feature. Speaking from ignorance donchaknow.

576  Other / Politics & Society / Re: This is the thread where you discuss free market, americans and libertarianism on: May 14, 2013, 06:08:51 AM
In after hitler.
Socialism is fractal. Naziism is macro, within a eurocentric framework.
Globalism is an extention of this macro scale. Statism is the object being measured.
The state itself is also fractal, the micropart being the mechanism of consent.
Kinda like metric divisibility once one identifies with a value.

You're going to have to bring that down and talk to us on our level  Undecided

RAGETROLLHITLERLIBTARDMURICADERPDERP

My admittedly probably flawed understanding:
At every level, Statism is self-resembling. The State:the citizen::The Nation:The State::Globalism:The Nation
Everything is sorta self resembling. Globalism with nationalistic subdivisions treats consent differently than a globalism where the nation's influence on a global scale is less powerful than guilds of freely organised individuals (concievably a non colonialist hypernation) does. We can have a globalist state, defined by military power and industrial complexes or a global nation based on mutual aid and technology.
As can be seen during wwi, borders define international conflict. These borders will be reconcieved i think. Military, legal, and police powers, and their inherent subversion of consent justified by those borders will need to be rethought too.

Anarchists are sexy.
Would have been funny if OP had attached the same address to both 'parties.'

I'm not actually an anarchist. I'm more like a manic dictator. Still sexy though.
Very interesting.. Dalí had a similar viewpoint. It's strange to understand that anarchism and automonarchism are mutually inclusive. Max Keiser (godlovethelilguy) recently claimed dominion over Scotland for example. Also, LaVeyanizm requires that I be my own God. Relegating oneself to a position of someone else's subject is setting oneself up for victimhood. Voting for people to think and act for you takes your own power away, don't you agree? Grin
579  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [REPOST FOR NEWBS] - I of Mems list Encourage boycotting SatoshiDice [RACISM] on: May 13, 2013, 10:58:57 PM
Again, privilege.

"Privilege" is what the consciously lazy call other people's merit, skill and accomplishment. Get off your fat ass, do something useful and forget about all the deep envy over other people's success. You can have a little piece of it too, one day, maybe.
Words can't define themselves. There is a big difference between revisionism, and reclaiming & rebranding. Privelige, as per my understanding of the word, refers to the meritless property unrelated to skill that all individuals come to the table ov life with initially. The type and degree of privelige one has is based only on peer's preconcieved ideas of an individual's cultural or group traits, and expectations thereof.
To get a fair judgement of someone's ideology, vocabulary must be considered but content and motivations are not overlookable.

umadbro? put the flamethrower down kthxbye

The unstable fiat price of bitcoin is due to hedgefund brokers totally not 'getting it' and defaulting to flailmode. Ultimately a bitcoin is always worth more than any amount of fiat. If those folks want to pump capital into the btc community, that's neat, yo. You wouldnt catch me giving up BTC for $.
I think its the bank-smelling-like scummy faith in fiat folks' carried over sketchyass behavior patterns that make crypto seem so scary.
