We don't show the trust rating, so we shouldn't allow advertising.

Can you explain the correlation between these two things 'trust rating : signature" ? Thanks.

565  Other / Meta / Re: Illiterate sig spammers on: July 24, 2016, 07:37:07 PM
What's to be done about threads like this one? Pretty much every reply is from an illiterate sig spammer except for my reply calling them out (which didn't stop them, no doubt because they didn't read it - I don't know why I thought they might). The problem of sig spam has officially gone from "goddamn annoying" to "fucking ridiculous". Tell me again why we don't just ban paid posts like every other forum?

I suppose that someone used that alt-account to create the thread and after reply with his main accounts, if you look most of the threads in that section/board are articulated in this way.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1563903.0

Exactly and I don't think there is a way to stop this cra*, maybe reintroduce the limitation for newbie users aka newbie jail (I don't know).

I like ETC, but isn't there a risk the attacker is going to dump coins and the price is going to fall ?

Sure. Same is true for Satoshi, or any other currency with whales (all of them). If he's smart he will burn most of them.

if the dao hacker moves his coins (which I think he should!) then he will dump and price will go down. right?

- Huge discussion for past 2 weeks whether Ethereum should bail-out
the banks (see the R3 bank ethereum clusterfuck) right after Bit Novosti
  released "A Crypto-Decentralist Manifesto"
https://medium.com/@bit_novosti/a-crypto-decentralist-manifesto-6ba1fa0b9ede

- The Ethereum "community" voted what they call an "hard fork"
basically a bail-out of the junkie banksters who invested on ETH
rolling back the last history of DAO meltdown to give the financial
stooges their money back, after having lost it on stuff they cannot
understand (ask yourself, has anyone of them read the DAO code
before putting money on it?? It's the language, stupid!)

- All sorts of G/Sachs and Thiel funded divas went announcing how
"clean" was the fork, as in a painful chirurgical operation that
went good, basically betraying their initial marketing point that
Ethereum is decentralised (ideals? what are "ideals"?). With this
operation they proved for the first time in blockchain buzz history
that with a massive media campaign and having bought some leaders is
possible to have your butt put on your face by crypto-surgery and
  still keep smiling.

- The REAL community of people behind Ethereum is now rejecting the
bail-out, probably marking in history the first time in which there
can be a bail-out rejection by grass-roots movements??
  Ethereum Classic is announced https://ethereumclassic.github.io

- All major ether exchanges around the world (Poloniex, Bitfinex, and
Kraken) have announced they will support Ethereum Classic, starting
with assigning a wallet containing ETC for ETH, 1 to 1
Real decentralisation investors have a clear message on what is the
reliable asset and what not. If you put your money on the buggy code
you fail, and That's Life! (and the crypto market, likely)

- The banksters/spooks conglomerate sends a weak signal to the
world by announcing that since yesterday Coinbase includes Ethereum
(Coinbase is the FEDs friendly exchange which most likely handed
over KAT torrents private account details to FBI for investigation)

means journalism in the crypto-assets sphere,

Having Poloniex add the old chain is a bit of a disturbing move. I guess they're gearing up to follow in the footsteps of the likes of big vern and MK.

It's not technically the old chain, because someone is still using it so it has a value. Poloniex just added another 'coin' nothing else, from their old press news:
Quote
'In addition, for those interested in keeping their tokens from the losing blockchain as a keepsake, we will support a one-time withdrawal of the deprecated tokens, provided that the losing chain is still functional when you attempt a withdrawal. Specific instructions on how to access your tokens on the old chain to follow.'

but they ended to add directly it.
573  Economy / Exchanges / Re: List of bitcoin debit cards on: July 24, 2016, 11:31:41 AM
I just want to virtual card. not a problem at low limits for me. but I certainly do not want to share my id, address, photo etc.. which service would you recommend ?

I suggest you wirex (formerly e-coin). If you want you can register through my signature to obtain a 25% discount on all available plastic cards and obviously a free virtual card (this is currently a promotion of wirex).
574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: July 24, 2016, 11:16:05 AM
so how many of total supply this coins?

The same as ethereum hard-fork, it has the same functionality but most important is 'immutable'.

@Dargo, will you add (as exchange) ethereum classic?
Actaully you can't add something that already exists. Ethereum classic is ethereum. Ethereum forked is the new version that must be added. This trading pair should be represented ETH/ETF. To avoid any confusion with Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF abbr) four letter representation would be better - ETHC/ETHF.

Btw they now have ethereum HF (hardfork) on kraken.com, my question was if they have the intention to add ethereum classic (ETC, the same one on poloniex). Basically the original chain that didn't agree with the DAO hard-fork, just download the client from etheremclassic.org and run it together.
577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: July 24, 2016, 08:04:53 AM
It's interesting to see how all this was called 'consensus' but I don't think that there was a real consensus on the hard-fork, it's also interesting to see how also poloniex added ethereum classic and especially the pair ETH:ETC .

579  Other / Meta / Re: Ticker to show latest BTC price? on: July 22, 2016, 07:07:32 PM
Hi. I wonder if the forum administrators could add a ticket that shows the latest BTC price? Smiley

I think someone else requested this few months ago and the reply was something like 'this isn't a BTC market or an exchange, so it doesn't need a btc price indicator'.
580  Other / Meta / Re: Why don't allow us to hide also the last activity? on: July 22, 2016, 12:39:06 PM
You can't think of any way this can be abused by scammers or lead to confusion? People will use it to make it appear like they aren't active any more. If people wan't to hide their activity then just don't log in. Otherwise this info is useful for numerous reasons.

sure I can, but since you said it will be abused I wanted to read your explanation. Btw, so are you saying that this function can be abused by the scammers by make them appear like they aren't active any more? Okay that's logic.

so I can assume that this function at the end will not be added, right?

Is there someone else that have another opinion in merit? Please reply here.
