561  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolinminer & Whatsminer FAQs on: January 15, 2018, 01:14:31 AM
Does anyone on this forum know where to obtain the latest M3 firmware and instructions on installing it?  I suspect I have a bad hashing board, but want to try the update first.

Your best bet is to try contacting them through their support page:

I could see this as a good feature here, especially for members who are high seniority. The question
that pops in my mind is, what about people who have to make a new account for recovery of an old
or hacked account? Are we safe to assume that theymos and Cyrus or other staff will be able to get
messages from them still?
563  Other / Meta / Re: Stake your Bitcoin address here on: January 13, 2018, 08:03:21 PM
Just wanted to post my BTC vanity Address with Signed Message.

564  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolinminer & Whatsminer FAQs on: January 13, 2018, 09:20:52 AM
We have sent all of the details to Pangolin and they have responded however it has been 10 hrs since all of the information was sent to them.

Be prepared to wait a couple of days. It's been in my experience that, Pangolinminer does not work
on the weekends. Atleast, not anyone in the "office".
565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Pci-e GPU makes all mining slow. on: January 13, 2018, 02:08:36 AM
This section is for Asic BTC mining. I suggest you move your thread to the ALT mining section.
In the bottom left corner of YOUR post there is an option to move it. You will find some answers
much quicker there. Goodluck!!!
566  Other / Meta / Re: Sr.Member Account just hacked! on: January 13, 2018, 12:41:18 AM
Your address just needs to be posted in a thread from before it was stolen. I suggest going
to the profile, and look through "last posts by this person". It does not need to be in the "stake your
address" thread. The reason an address is good to use is because, you can sign a message with the
current date. You can use any crypto address, doesn't need to be btc.
567  Other / Meta / Re: why i can't login on: January 10, 2018, 08:22:53 PM
I just posted only a couple of times the address of my other altcoins. Maybe it will help?

Yes it will help, as long as you can sign a message from one of the addresses.
568  Other / Meta / Re: why i can't login on: January 10, 2018, 09:33:19 AM
It's locked. Those are the same messages I had when mine was locked. There was an incident
where passwords got leaked, and many inactive accounts were locked, so they couldn't be hacked.
You will need to follow the instructions in this thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0

Find the account, and look through  the "last posts by this person" to find a post that has a BTC/Crypto
address you posted. You will need it to verify ownership. Goodluck!!!
569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gpu Question. on: January 09, 2018, 12:49:32 AM
It literally says no gpu posts at the top of this board. Move this thread to the ALT mining
section, and someone can help you with what you need. There is an option to move it
on the bottom left corner of your thread. Goodluck!!!

"Legally binding tax" has nothing to do with accepting payments in Bitcoin. If you account for it right, it's all the same. I do accept payment in Bitcoin for real-life services and it works for me.

All I am hearing from you guys in this thread is "Baaa". You mean you're fine with paying 4k for 11Th/s since "it's all with profits now anyway" or "it's early hence the price"? That's ridiculous.

Also see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2627311.msg27733022#msg27733022

Had you been here longer than just today you might have noticed I never said anything
about buying at this price. Is it just a coincidence that you chose only this thread to troll on?
Doubtful. Your shillings are more "Baaa" than anything. Typical.
571  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptouniverse - Official Canaan Distributor on: January 08, 2018, 08:14:37 PM
Why aren't Bitcoin payments available?

I would think because of the legally binding tax that he mentioned above.
572  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolinminer & Whatsminer FAQs on: January 08, 2018, 08:08:50 PM

Are people not bothered that these are not as efficient as the S9?

For me, no not really. I will use them until I get something more efficient for sure. And honestly, I'm not entirely sure
I'd even buy an S9. I've read a lot about the problems they are prone too as of late. Also, I'm beginning to see BITMAIN
as a corporate monster more than anything.
I have no problem giving my business to a company that's getting their foot
in the door, if it takes a little from the greedy companies. Pangolinminer is squeezing every last bit out of 28nm technology
and made a decent machine doing so. Hopefully they have an R&D working on something new, that's alittle more efficient.
573  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum-3.0.4 [PROBLEM] on: January 08, 2018, 07:59:21 PM
Did you install the update as mentioned above?
574  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolinminer & Whatsminer FAQs on: January 08, 2018, 07:51:40 PM
If you don't like it, simple solution is to use an extension or write a script that posts the form data automatically and non-stop until successful.

I doubt if a person can't clear a cache, they could pull this off. The website could be better, but it works good enough that my orders went through,
as well as many others. There are some tricks and tips to make it easier, but some people are too impatient to try. EVERYONE here that ordered
had to deal with it, and I'm sure many will be returning customers. Hell, they didn't even have the countdown when I ordered. I had to stay up for 24hrs
and keep refreshing the page!!!

Quote
Chances are multiple people are already doing that and that's why it's difficult to order.

And that's why it's like a race. If you're determined enough, you can win!!!
575  Other / Meta / Re: Account locked-off? on: January 08, 2018, 03:47:05 AM
It could be locked from the passwords being leaked in 2015. You will need to follow the
directions in this thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0

You'll need to search for the name of the account in the search feature, and look through
"last posts of this person" to find a posted BTC/CRYPTO address. You will need it to verify
ownership of the account. If you need help signing a message read this:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=990345.0

Goodluck!!!
576  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Locked out of electrum 2.5.1 on: January 08, 2018, 01:02:15 AM
The only option it looks like you have is to "brute force" your way back into it. That in itself
is a very complicated/hacker level type of action. If I was in your shoes, I'd move this thread
to the Electrum board in alternative clients. There is an option to move it in the lower left hand
corner of YOUR post. Someone there may be able to shed some light on this for you, but don't
get in a hurry, it could take awhile. Goodluck!!!
577  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum-3.0.4 [PROBLEM] on: January 07, 2018, 11:32:22 PM
If you have your seed saved/backed up on paper, uninstall your old version. Re-install and
enter your seed. Make sure to use the Windows Uninstaller. This is all I did, but I have Pro
64 bit.

Dumb q. does the existing controller that works on the 741 will work on the 821s?

Yes. As far as everyone has been saying, it can control both models.
579  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolinminer & Whatsminer FAQs on: January 07, 2018, 01:54:56 PM

Fine, don't buy, it will be more for someone else

No doubt! We get it, the site is not perfect. Pangolinminer gets it too. They have directions on
the site that tell you to clear your cache if you are experiencing problems. Also, make sure
whatever device you are using isn't a total turd as well. That way when you "refresh" your
screen, the quantity hasn't dropped dozens of numbers. They literally have a countdown on
their site. It's literally gonna be a race competition with the thousands of other people worldwide
who want these 200 miners. Be prepared not to come in 1st place, or 199 for that matter.

*throws down website and stomps away.......................
580  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S9 Not Hashing. Which step am I missing? on: January 07, 2018, 03:46:06 AM
Have you hooked up a meter to see if you are, in fact, getting the full 240v from
your main line? If you are not, it may not be giving the psu the juice it needs to
power all the way up.

Yep - main line is good to go.  Getting about 238.7 reading.

And even then - shouldn't I bet getting a red indicator light on all the hashboards when plugged in?  Especially if I only plug one in at a time...

Board 1 is the only one with a light.  Even when troubleshooting and I only plug in board 2 or only board 3 - they never light up.

Nick

I hate to say it, but sounds like you may have a couple dead boards. Try the search bar in the top
of this section. Search: S9 dead board, or something of that nature. I'm sure there's some info here.
Goodluck!!!
