581  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Having losses? Or people are not going the right way on: August 27, 2022, 03:00:15 PM
its not about the results.. its about the timing of the survey
The survey was conducted last month which means the investors that claimed their crypto punts are worse than expected believe once they invested in crypto the next is bullish or maybe they invested in that meme shitcoin.
This will always be the criticism of inexperienced investors.
582  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Dugin's daughter killed. Did she really say this? on: August 26, 2022, 10:33:33 PM
Dugin's daughter: 'Ukrainians are not humans. They all deserve to die.'
Trying to check the tweet but it appears to be deleted.

It could also be Putin himself, you know, to transform the 'special operation' into 'war', nukes, full mobilization, etc.

He did a similar provocation to justify the Chechen war.
I agreed and I never trust that man because when he has an intention in something he can do extra just to achieve it.

Next?
War against cryptocurrency privacy transaction users especially now almost all reputable crypto-based casinos are enforcing KYC and the US Feds sanction privacy provider platform.
583  Other / Politics & Society / Re: War in Ethiopia, why is everyone silent? on: August 26, 2022, 09:16:24 PM
In this country, the interests of 2 countries China and the United States clashed. China was friends with the current government, and the US supported Nobel Peace Prize winner Abiy Ahmed, whose actions led to a civil war with heavy losses.

If you do not want democracy, then you will have a war in your country .. how many times will this story be repeated?
I never hear about this matter until now but it is sad that storyline of how the Covid -19 generated from Wuhan became a global issue is not enough for our political leader.
What we are seeing is the mistake caused by political differences and the same thing led to Ukraine's invasion will is going to a year now.
I think we need decentralization in our political scheme.
584  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I Disliked Bitcoin on: August 26, 2022, 08:09:14 PM
I have this kind of thoughts too when I was a newbie here but that doesn't discouraged me to explore more about Bitcoin specifically Blockchain because this is th technology that makes Bitcoin unique. It's not too late to start accepting Bitcoin because it’s just in the initial stage which many ups and down. More important is you realized its worth and its better than ignoring it completely for the rest of your life.

Whenever its first impression is bad, I was also against the bitcoin. But eventually I learned and realized its importance. Less awareness or knowledge and our prejudiced attitude are the major reasons for disliking bitcoin in the initial stages, but it changes eventually.
@Eternad Blockchain is not the only thing that make Bitcoin unique. If it's the blockchain most altcoin with better TPS would have dethrone Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is unique because of it fundamental concept, consensus and it's the only true decentralized coin.

@lucates It's normal to have negative feelings about something good when you're naive. I believe every Bitcoin enthusiast once feels like that.
585  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How is Merit Gotten? on: August 25, 2022, 07:27:30 PM
I need some orientation on how Participants get merit.

If it is shared, how is that done too?

Please let's help each other out.
What you need is basic knowledge of cryptocurrency and an understanding of how this forum works but merit giving to posts that are useful, quality or solve someone's issue.
Meanwhile, making useful posts also doesn't mean you'll be giving merit because merit is given independently. However, you can report your unmerited useful posts here
Welcome to the forum.
586  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why it's so hard to rank-up? on: August 24, 2022, 10:51:43 PM
As much as I know at this young age. Actually ranking up is not a difficult matter. To rank up, you have to have a lot of knowledge in all subjects. I see bitcointalk forum, except for altcoin board, you get a lot of merit if you post or reply with good quality. We who are juniors always wait for good quality posts from senior members.
Having a lot of knowledge in all subjects is not what's needed to up in this forum besides, it not possible to have knowledge in all subjects and most high-ranked members are also learning more at this moment because the crypto ecosystem is changing every day.

What every newbie actually needs to rank up is to understand the forum, know the section merit source focus, and have basic knowledge about BTC, wallet, and transaction.
587  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is suicide the best option? on: August 24, 2022, 10:31:56 PM
The question here is, how can we stop this from becoming a norm?
Ever since the issue of covid-19 happened which also cause the world economic break down it has been hard for common to survive but the sad thing is that those that ought to help the less privileged are not doing anything and when people are depressed and couldn't see a shoulder to cry on its easy for them to commit suicide.
The only way we can stop this from becoming a norm is let people who are having a hard time know they are not alone and we should be ready to help others.
588  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I have bought Bitcoin ? on: August 24, 2022, 09:51:41 PM
I'm glad and happy a Monk is using bitcoin and he's quite positive and have the mind to spread about bitcoin. Nowadays more charities have started to accept donations in the form of cryptocurrencies. This doesn't mean they accept bitcoin alone, altcoins were also accepted. Already with the help of forum members there were more charity programs being run by individual members who have dedicated themselves for the social service.
well it is not their interest but instead the availability of donations,  so whether it is in Bitcoin/altcoin or money but it is how they are needing the funds for sustainable organization .
but this is one good thing to promote bitcoin.
Yes, some charity donations may help promote Bitcoin which I believe Ukraine and other private donations are already doing. However, we should not forget that the charity operated by the members of this forum as mentioned by n0ne is operated in a way community involvement was not the type of donation with no tangible information.

590  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Pretending Binanace to Scam People! on: August 22, 2022, 09:21:31 PM
This is the reason why it's good for people to understand and be familiar with how their exchange operates because there's no e-mail sent by Binance that you won't have a copy of it in your Binance account inbox.

No Bybit exchange isn't as generous as Binance, they only send advertising e-mail's (we added a new futures contract)
Good security, customer service, and a user friendly ecosystem are what is important not the generosity of an exchange
591  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price of bitcoin rise again? on: August 22, 2022, 03:51:16 PM
One thing to mention in particular was the bear market a few days ago. Then the price of Bitcoin has decreased due to the market being down. But now, despite being in a bull market, why is the price of Bitcoin decreasing now? Hope the experienced will tell.
First, some slight pump in the price of the market doesn't mean the market is in a bull market we're still in the crypto winter market.
The bear market season also doesn't mean the BTC market won't experience some pump in price but it said that whenever the market experience some dump in price which is expected what people do is complain or panic.
592  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The government of my country always blame Bitcoin for their failure. on: August 19, 2022, 05:54:20 PM
It might be true that Bitcoin can be misused or abused by some individuals or organization which might affect the economy, but portraying Bitcoin  as one of the major cause of the country’s economic woes is untrue.
This may happen in Bitcoin and it also happens in fiat currency but the blockchain makes it easy to verify and track the individual that did it (if no privacy service is used just like how Bitfinex suspected hacker was tracked down ). This cant is achieved in fiat currency and that's the reason why a lot of political leaders can freely steal the nation's funds.
593  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin bull run 'getting interesting' as BTC price hits 6-week high on: August 19, 2022, 02:35:27 PM
I believe the current surge in price is just a normal slightly grow in the price of the market which was impacted through the ETH merge and once it is over there will be huge selling.
What ETH merger do you mean?
If you mean the ETH 2.0 merger already seen on blockchain.com, then I think there will be a better Bitcoin and Ethereum price hike next month after that is done. Although it is still very possible for a decline to occur in both in the market. But I don't think it will happen to a very large extent in the market, because that is very good news and there could be an increase in buying in the market.

Yes, I was talking about the ETH2.0 merge.
If you follow notice of the decision of crypto investors you'll comply with me, when an event is coming up on a certain blockchain investors always follow the crowd due to FOMO, and once the event is executed there will be a major sell. I could remember when BCH did some fork 2-3years ago.

This is why the crypto market is interesting, you'll never know what will happen next.
But in any case, we need to be ready for what's to come.
Either we can earn from it or just wait for the price to be above your buying price.
The Eth 2.0 has long been delayed, but I believe, it will have positive impact in the market later on.
Yes, some of the occasions make the crypto market to be interesting to those that already understand the market while naive investors will down by the market trend.
About the ETH2.0 merge, I don't know if I am the only one that has the feelings that Vitalik did the delay of the event on purpose because after the delay is when other dApp project started going bullish.

595  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why all the Bitcoin has to be in the Blockchain ? on: August 18, 2022, 09:22:56 PM
Hello Everyone's !
I am a Monk. Recently I have heard of Bitcoin. I am learning now. I want to know why all the Bitcoin has be in the Blockchain ? I also want to learn about how Bitcoin really work ? Is there a good teacher , who can teach about Bitcoin and Blockchain ? I want to buy some Bitcoin but do not know how it work ?

Please teach me !
Thanks.

Blockchain is just a digital ledger used to keep track of all crypto transaction records.
It is not that all Bitcoins are in blockchain.
Bitcoin is stored in a wallet and the wallet's private keys or seed holder controls/owns the Bitcoin that's why the crypto community said this catchphrase "Not your key not your coin".
596  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Is there a problem with Mixabit mixer? on: August 18, 2022, 07:28:56 PM
It's hard for any of these community members to tell you what really happened to the crypto mixing site because it was never a recommended site from the beginning and I will advise you not to use it again, be careful in the future, and use the crypto tumbler site we have on this forum.
Chipmixer appears to be the most trusted one though.
597  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Be a Bitcoin believer on: August 17, 2022, 11:28:24 PM
Altcoin scam comes from coins that are mined before a project is launched, the coins are sold before listing the it on exchanges, the developers can leave the project on the day it supposed to be launched and take away all investor money. Some developers can just list the coin and sell all their coins which they have from the beginning, making investors to lose in the dumping process that can make the project become useless and having no future. Going for bitcoin is better to avoid scam.
Yes, Bitcoin is the safe haven in the crypto investment scheme but the altcoin scam happened in many ways not just only those you listed because the dev team not keeping his promises is also a scam which we can also list Vitalik among them when the ETH2.0 roadmap was released.
I know some ETH enthusiasts won't like my statement but it is the truth.
598  Economy / Speculation / Re: Industry experts believes BTC is primed to hit $106,000 on: August 17, 2022, 11:01:27 PM
There is a new report notes that Bitcoin will cross the $100k in 3yrs time by industry experts.
Don't be deceived by the influencers that just make announcements of whatever they wish just to get notice or make name for themselves. Who are the industry experts? If not the crypto community.

The Fintech firm which consists of 53 industry experts noted that investors should expect BTC to soar to $106,757 by the end of 2025 -468% of it's current price of $21,795 as at press time.
I believe this shouldn't be a piece of news anymore since people already know BTC always maintains its 4cycle and after a block halving is a new ATH price.  These people are just selling themselves to the crypto industry.
599  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: advice for who are witnessing this market for the first time. on: August 16, 2022, 11:15:42 PM
My advice to newbies who are witnessing this for the first time is to never look at the chart always and always make your investment priority to be on BTC.

This is an innovative way to get profit i think that a person at the beginning of trading has to face certain issues but as you become familiar with it so the percentage of issues reduces.
The percentage of the issue crypto traders experience is specified by the market trend and there's no reason it will reduce even when a trader is not beginning.
The only difference is that the expert knows usually knows what to do when the market is not in his favor.

600  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Can mining be relied on for financial stability? on: August 16, 2022, 09:42:03 PM
As a miner, can you say mining is fairly profitable for you and can be completely relied on to give financial freedom from acquiring bitcoins, Or have you considered involving yourself with other methods of acquiring bitcoins like trading and DCA?
Crypto is volatile and mining not always is profitable and so is crypto trading either.
Meanwhile, for your mining to be profitable it will be determined by your mining rig, maintenance, what you mine, and the cost of electricity while trading solely depends on the market price and your trading decision.
Both mining and trading have their own risk but solo mining is not that profitable anymore and I will advise you to evaluate using whattomine before making your decision.
