581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you in profit? on: November 19, 2023, 05:08:43 PM
Trust me, even if you spend years in gambling there will always be time where you will question everything, that's gambling for you, and that's why I keep saying that it's not compulsory to gamble, when you have the money that you can afford to lose then you can gamble but losing is the most accurate thing in gambling.

I pity those who aims to make daily income from gambling, they won't know what will hit them hard, the moral lesson of this is that money can't be made easily, you need to exchange a demanding skill for you make money in return.

My gambling journey so far as been unprofitable, more like what you've experienced, but there are days where I get good rewards for gambling, and I just know that I haven't make enough to cover all the past money I've spent on gambling, I am less worried because I have been using what I can afford to lose.
582  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gambling and Invest in gambling. on: November 19, 2023, 04:13:03 PM
The only option you have is to invest in casino company stocks, I have come across such investment online but this isn't the most lucrative investment in the world, it's not as if you will make tons of money going this road, buying Bitcoin and holding will net you the best reward ever, I don't see anything that does it better than Bitcoin, this is why Black rock and others want the piece of the pie, right now crypto is the most lucrative investment.

If you don't like gambling or you feel like you are not making enough, the best advice I can give you is to build your own casino or just invest in Bitcoin, mind you, if you keep using what you can afford to lose on gambling your luck days will still come, you are free to make your own choice.

If you can't do any of this then find something you can invest your money on, most times I prefer something I can control but since Bitcoin is decentralized I don't have any problem investing my hard earned money on it.
583  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Letting the cat out of the bag on: November 19, 2023, 07:25:41 AM
The day a gambler admitted that he is addicted to gambling the problem is already solved, most gambling addicts don't open up easily because they don't think or see themselves as the problem, they believe that they are not just trying enough, if you can think that you are addicted to gambling then you found the problem already and you will or should be able to get yourself fixed, you don't even have to involve someone else but telling your close friends or family could speed up the recovery too.

There are other things that's not gambling or drugs that I became addicted to, but I always know what enough is enough, I believe I am always in control of myself, when I was new to crypto I spend some money on crypto HYIP projects, some gave me a lot of money in just days and weeks and some turned into scam and I lost money, but it get to a point where I consider myself to be addicted to HYIP and I need to stop, mind you I needed a lot of money at the time which was why I started the HYIP thing but it doesn't took me a second thought to put an end to everything myself.

Some people have weak mind and some have strong mind control, if you can't see problems as problem it will be difficult for such person to even know that they are doing something wrong, it's not bad to question yourself, it will increase your state of awareness,  ask yourself if you are doing something wrong, it has been always helpful.
584  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not perfect, and that's okay. on: November 17, 2023, 06:07:49 AM
Fire can take a life and we use it for making food and other good things, water can take life too and we drink it for health benefits, guns are good for protection and hunting yet it's capable of taking lives, I think the problem is the user, and in generally everything good can be use for bad things, I can remember a woman using a glass cup to break and cut his husband neck in the neighborhood, we use that for drinking water and tea.

If Bitcoin doesn't exists today people will use Fiat to fund their illegal activities, and even till today, smart crime lords prefer Fiat than anything else because they can easily get away with it than using the block chain, lack of knowledge is why criminals will prefer to use Bitcoin for anything because it can be trace back to them.

Bitcoin is not perfect and we don't need it to be perfect, I can see many people complaint about it's transaction fee, well I am affected as well, I can't send my BTC to any exchange and I will have to wait till the amount I want to send is worth the transaction fee.
585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How discipline are you in managing your bankroll? on: November 16, 2023, 09:58:09 AM
The dangers of gambling is all about luck and getting lucky isn't going to happen every time, how can someone not understand this? I take this very serious that I am so focused on using only what I can afford to lose, I have seen how many lives turned miserable because of gambling, and till this day it still scares me, I don't want to have a string relationship with gambling and I put all my attention in investment more, I do gambling when I don't have anything to spend money on.

Whenever I get paid I remove very small amount for gambling and it's not even every time, I know about the dangers and the warning signs in gambling, you don't have to be told or you don't have to get caught in gambling addiction, it's something that's openly affecting many people around the world,  there isn't much to expect from gambling, be careful..

I know a friend who use 5,000 to make 750,000 and he decide to make it 1,000,000 before he withdraw his money but he lost everything, this type of losses have happened to many gamblers and it's because of greed but how will you even be able to control your greed if the way you are making money is luck.
586  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What would you tell your younger self to learn this space efficiently? on: November 16, 2023, 08:16:23 AM
I have my regrets and if I have a chance to turn back the hands of time I will advice myself not to run after quick money, I was there in cloud mining and hyip and it result in many losses, I don't regret too much because all those experiences is why I know better today, I was like most beginners today who want to make passive income online and I later learned that long term investment is the way.

With all the money I've lost to high yield schemes online I would have use it to buy good amount of Bitcoin, even if I have sold it I would have use it to do something better but honestly mistakes are made for humans to learn lessons, nobody was born perfect and there is no way to get rid of mistakes from your life, it's just like committing sins, we really can't escape it completely.

Still if I have to give advice to beginners today I will tell them to be prepared, and some are naturally stubborn at heart, even when you know they are doing it wrong and you advice them they will still follow their mind and make the mistake, but after making the mistake what happened after? Learning from the mistake is the best and walking way because of the mistake is just stupid.
587  Economy / Gambling / Re: QuitGamble.com - Free Help for Problem Gamblers on: November 16, 2023, 07:47:03 AM
I've once saved a brother who lost everything to gambling and he was able to confused me that he is done with gambling because of his regrets, he really regret ever becoming a gambler, as he was just a beginner, he got addicted right after he won twice and he used money he was not supposed to have use, I just end up taking pity on him, so I gave him back some money, almost half of what he lost after he got no one from his family to help him, they all blamed him for making such decisions but they aren't ready to help him.

I sat him down at my place and give him some advice about gambling, and I showed him some screenshots of people that have lost a lot more than he did, I tried to teach about how to be a responsible gambler but he said no that he is done with gambling, I think he got the wrong advice about gambling and him winning twice also made him lose his mind.

I believe that becoming a addict and able to voice out about it is the best thing you can do for yourself,  some people end up in worse situation because they keep it all to themselves and when the battle it all alone and fail to conquer they will lose their mind completely.
588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Casinos with Online and Offline version, Are they the same? on: November 16, 2023, 06:48:31 AM
Online experience is always different to offline experience, generally about all things, you can't expect the experience to be the same just because it's the same company, online has it's advantage already and that's why I become a gambler today, if there is no online casinos I will never visit any casino nearby to gamble, doing such thing in the public is not my way.

You can also start a business offline and it will fail over the years and bring the same business online and it will be way better, the thing about running a business is risk, you will never know what the result you will get will be like, not until you give it a trail and see what happens, this is why you will see some project will very good utilities that still fail.

Everything is risk, you won't know what you will get until you try, mind you, this casino you are talking about might not belong to the same person, just because they are sharing the same name doesn't mean it belongs to the same person, this days it's getting harder to form company names, that's why new projects are using...-... Between their names.

As we all believe that 1xbit or 1xbet is a scam on this forum, someone somewhere might decide to use this same name for his located casino offline and that wont stop the business from doing well.
589  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inquiry about FortuneJack - KYC and Withdrawals on: November 15, 2023, 12:35:25 PM
Every online casinos works differently, they have their advantages and disadvantages too, I don't think that fortune jack is a scam casino yet, until it's been proven to be it's an old working casino and I don't see any bad reviews like you claimed, can you share link to where you get the angry reviews? Even the crappy trust pilot still rate this casino 3.1 out of 5 and the majority of the reviews under have good experience on the casino.

The minimum withdrawal is quit high which is 150 dollars and it's still fine I believe but the chances of winning on Fortune Jack is way better than some casinos out there, most people claimed they lost money on other casinos but it's quit better on Fortune Jack, as they win from time to time, if you can spend time on the trust pilot review you will see that the fortune jack customer services are replying to peoples problem and this makes them very reliable at what they do.

Someone claimed that they deposit on the platform and won some money but was unable to withdraw their winnings, but when the customer service replied they claimed that two accounts have been identified that they tried to verify the accounts with the same documents, so they closed both the accounts.

This is one thing I hate about gamblers, they messed up badly and they will pretend as if they did nothing wrong, creating FUD about the online casino, they are mad for breaking the rules and they take it out on the platform and their team, it's a stupid and disgusting habit.
590  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you use multiple platforms for betting? on: November 15, 2023, 10:59:30 AM
I was curious to know what result I will be getting if I use more than two gambling platform, it was something I want to try out and finally I did, when you are a beginner in gambling you will try almost everything you could to satisfy your taste for gambling, but I get to know that it's better to use two as your minimum and maximum, there really isn't a lot of benefits using multiple gambling platforms.

Also using more than one casinos also expose you to more risks, as you will be tasked with managing more than one game at a time, it can be difficult but not impossible, I think it's better to use money you can afford to lose and focus on one casino at a time.

Now I use one casino after the other, I don't deposit on both at the same time to gamble, it's distracting to me, I use one for a whole week and use the other for the coming week, I always rotate between my favourite casinos but I still don't believe that it is necessary, I do win at times but my loss is somehow still be same.
591  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Start small and don't get tired of growing in the process. on: November 15, 2023, 10:18:58 AM
This is why it's bad to make wrong decisions in your life that will instantly turn you into an adult who have no choice but to take responsibility,  at your youth age you need to erase the idea of running after money from your mind, focus on your goals, build something new and become someone very valuable, when the time is right money will come for you.

Do not get this confused, all good things come to those who wait doesn't mean you shouldn't try to do something, some people believe that not struggling can still set you free financially, it's a wrong mentality.

I understand crypto investment because I threw in all the time I have, I tried everything practically, because there was no one who's going to teach me, and that makes me a stronger investor and also I am able to know how to manage risks myself, you need to be a better person by yourself every day.

Before you start anything related to crypto and Bitcoin investment always do your own research, you will be able to have some knowledge and you will also be able to avoid some grave mistakes.
592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most you have ever lost in one session? on: November 15, 2023, 08:29:24 AM
I've lost up to 0.2BTC gambling in 2018 and the value was very little at the time, I got greedy and I let gambling to get the best of me, but that's it, every other money I've lost in gambling are so little to none, from $1 to $40 in months now, and it doesn't cost me a thing, I would be happy if I can get my 0.2BTC back but it's not possible.

In 2019 I remember losing some money to pyramid schemes too, it was over $500 at the time too, but I later recovered it through other source, I have lost a lot of money but I gained a lot of knowledge too, so it's worth all the trails and risks.

With gambling I am used to losing money but I have my winning moments too, but I stick to my normal plan and I won't increase the amount that I am risking yo gamble until I start making more money from my work and business place.

The best thing you can do for yourself as a gambling fan is to know your limit, your life is more important that gambling, be a happy person and avoid going in debt or getting broke because of gambling, only risks what you can and your happiness won't be stolen from you.
593  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Client Executives Kidnapped, Forced to Empty Crypto Wallets on: November 14, 2023, 04:09:31 PM
To look at it from another angle, cz may just be saying this to boost customer trust in Binance by claiming that they were able to intercept the stolen funds and recover nearly everything. If you follow the thread on X, many people there claimed they have lost funds in Binance, but the exchange were not able to recover anything, even when the stolen funds was sent to another Binance account; so is there a chance that this story by cz is made-up?
This story is targeted at promoting Binance. CZ is using the story to showcase Binance as the protector of customers' funds by claiming that they can trace and recover stolen funds. He is showing that his platforms is an option because they can recover stolen funds when he said that stolen funds can only be frozen if they are send to centralized platforms.

This news might be true or made up but it is good that we have a chance to choose between Cex and Dex. Binance and other platforms will only showcase their strength and hide their weakness. He can only deceive newbies or those who have not learned any lesson from the failure of many exchanges. If CZ likes to let him come up with stories of how he recovered funds from millions of scammers, Binance will not keep my coins.
I like this writeup, if this is a real story we should have heard more about it right now, or did he choose to keep it on the low? Maybe its really made up, but I have one time got worried about this, because me trying to teach people to invest in Bitcoin have made me realise that I could be in danger if I keep teaching new people.

I know that Bitcoin is not that popular right now in my country, but I am a bit concerned that when it's a popular thing people will start targeting other people, that's why I decide to pretend as if I don't have anything to do with Bitcoin.

There is something that happened within my family, it involved a elder sister who knew that I was into crypto for the past years and she keep telling others about it, and now I hate myself for letting her know, it's really not my fault as her children sees interest in Bitcoin and I have to teach them, now she is speculating on my worth and telling others in the family that I have money since I am a Bitcoin investor.

I don't know how to stop this but I am been careful, I have decide to move out of my location and go far distance where anyone knows about me, I mean they have placed me in a high level like a millionaire in dollars when I am not even this right now.
594  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What percentage of bitcoin investors are gamblers ? on: November 14, 2023, 03:08:57 PM
What percentage of bitcoin investors are gamblers ?  Where will this figure be if we consider worldwide users ? I think it will be somewhere between 10-20% ? Also, it is possible that most of gamblers are still not bitcoin investors ? I see  less chances of the later happening.

Its difficult to guarantee a definitive answer to your question. Even if you conduct a survey on this forum or any other platform, its not guaranteed that you will receive an accurate answer because some investors might prefer to keep their privacy and choose not to answer. We can make assumptions, but ultimately they may not be relevant.

Yeah, Exactly, and honestly, I don't think these surveys are needed. From what I've seen, there are a ton of crypto enthusiast who are more into gambling than investing. I'm even leaning towards thinking we've got more gamblers than actual investors. See, when people are all serious about investing, they usually have to throw in a big chunk of money to have a shot at a decent return. It's the opposite for gamblers, though—they toss in a little and hope for a huge payout.

Here's my guess: Out of the 100% who are investors, I figure only about 1% of them are real gamblers. And by real investors, I mean not those who bail on their investment the moment things start feeling too much like a wild gamble.

And that is where they are wrong, there is a reason why the rich will always get richer, there is a reason why investors will always have the best result,  all these requires money, I mean good amount of money, but just because you don't have the big amount for investment and gambling seem like the best solution is foolishness.

It's not easy to make money they say, and this word is so on point, this is nothing but the easy way out, if 100s of people decide to walk in this path of luck maybe only one or two will come out with good results, all the rest are going to lose their money.

Investors don't find it easy to invest, but they get used to it, they also need money but to get the best result they have to wait for years, those who don't have the money don't want to wait, it's not that they can't find the money, it takes not so much money to be a good investment, but many people just like the idea of quick result.
595  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can a gambler be a good bitcoin trader? on: November 14, 2023, 02:30:27 PM
Become a good trader before you start gambling, at least if you lose money you have a way to get it back, but I think it's not safe to be a gambler and later decide to start trading, you will need to stop gambling first or you will start mixing feelings and emotions, and that's something you don't want to do with trading.

I can't imagine myself becoming a gambler first, I would have probably done a lot of wrongful things and it would have cost me a lot of money, maybe even became an addicted gambler, it's the most easiest thing to become if you so believe that gambling is meant for you, an addicted gambler is a walking time bomb, and when that time is up, to start making money from anything else will be the most difficult challenge ever.

If you are a gambler it will be hard to do something else that have everything to do with patience and time, gambling messed up this idea from your mind, you will always chase after quick answers and quick way of making money, it's better to have a source of income first before you start gambling, knowing how to trade is a good way to start, it's a good source of income if you are good at it, and from there you can start doing something else.

having a solid startup in the financial world is better for you, either learn a skill or have a business before going into gambling, it will safe you from a lot of wrong decisions, a beginner can easily find it's way if they are learning a skill just to make money but a beginner can end up losing his mind if he start is financial goal as a gambler.
596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your parent disinherit you eventhough you have not proven to be chronic gambler on: November 14, 2023, 01:48:29 PM
The most poisonous thing for children is to make them feel like they are entitled to your properties, this mentality can make them to be less active on their own career, when there is something to fall back on it's easier to get weak in everything you are aiming for, I won't teach my children to rely on what I have, they must believe in themselves and in what they have.

If I am not getting part of my parents properties because I am into gambling so be it, in the first place I was not trained to rely on them and I don't think anyone should, you are training yourself to be discipline and different and it's all for your own good.

If my parent decided to pass on their properties to me I have no problem with it but it's really not something they must do, I have my goals and dreams and with the zeal in me I believe that I will get everything that I want.
597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Low cost but effective solutions to gambling addiction on: November 13, 2023, 02:26:58 PM
Like how the hell can you say that therapy is low cost? Bro many people who are on the level of average in terms of making money can't even afford it, that's no low cost, maybe in your country but not in mine.

Also therapy can only work if the person is looking for solution and they determined to get the problem solved, most addicted gamblers are not looking for solution, they are looking for something to put all the blames on, sorry for sounding this way.

I have two people are I can consider calling a relative because we grow up together, they are both addicted to gambling and they have never for once said it's their fault for falling into addiction with gambling, I told them they need to accept that the problem is them first before they can able to beat the addiction.

If you are committing a crime and you don't see anything wrong with it, that's not a crime to you, not until you realize that what you are doing is wrong you can never be free of that habit, you will always go back and do the same thing, because to you it's never wrong.
598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler's family action. on: November 13, 2023, 01:28:52 PM
It's a big shame if you condemn something and because of money you later accept it, many people are this shameless today, and they aren't ready to hide it, they have no sense of honor or discipline, I have hated some crime ways of making money in my past and that's because it's wrong, yet it makes many pellet to be rich but I stood on my ways, when its a no let it be a no even when things are looking shiny for them.

If you believe that gambling money is ill gotten money then do not take money from anyone that's into gambling, I have seen such habit only from religion fanatics, they take everything too seriously and who I am to say that they are wrong? Maybe this is an escape for them to at least not end up doing the same thing?

Everyone has their own weak points and strong points too, for many to avoid doing bad things they use hate, I know fathers that disown their children because of gambling but generally it's for their own good, but understanding really matters, if your kids found a way to be a reason responsible gambler they are in safe hands, leave them be.
599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you want to play on casinos without KYC requirements? on: November 13, 2023, 12:36:58 PM
When trading or moving your crypto it makes sense to run after every possible privacy ways and avoid KYC with centralized exchanges all together but what is there to protect when you are into gambling? There is no way a casino will offer you a privacy service in gambling, if you see any it's an illegal casino and they can still rob you one way or the other.

It's a matter of choice if you want to be safe while gambling online, you have to use a regulated casino and been regulated means they have all rights to ask you to pass their verification system, it's just how thing should be, no casino is decentralized, live with it or quit gambling.

KYC doesn't add to any security, it doesn't mean that the platform can't be hacked but they are asking for KYC from their customers as the law and regulator asked and I don't blame them, KYC verification is almost to stop using the casino for any illegal or criminal activities.
600  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not get scammed by this, specially newcomers. on: November 13, 2023, 11:28:03 AM
Good advice and thanks for sharing, there are creepy people online this days pretending to be a victim of scam and they will lie about getting their justice back by offering people names and details on the social media and if you are once a victim you will likely the a second victim to scam too.

The truth can be very bitter with crypto if you don't know how to do your own research before making a step, once you lost your Bitcoin one way or the other its never going to get recovered, if you like hire the best computer gurus there is no way to get it back.

Forget the lost BTC and learn from your mistake, finding ways to recover what you're lost will expose you to new threats, and buckle up you will lose more money than you've lost before, they have done it before and they will keep doing it to innocent people that don't know how to do their own research.
