5841  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who is currently losing money on bitcoin? on: January 25, 2018, 10:32:40 PM
You are not actually losing anything. Say you have 1 bitcoin, even after the price drops you will have 1 bitcoin. So technically you will lose some money if you sell it in fiat, but if you are holding you are losing nothing. This is where most newbies make a mistake. They see the price of bitcoin dropping, they start selling in loss. And when they see the price going up, they start buying and thus have less amount of coins.
5842  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally Bitcoin is becoming normal on: January 25, 2018, 10:25:38 PM
I think it will stay like this and it might even get better soon.
It isn't like it was back when Bitcoin was 1000$ but I guess you cannot really have both. I like the confirmation time got shorter now, that was a pain in the ass if you wanted to send fast, you would have to pay the fee more than the transaction to get in time.
I am assuming it will not be staying like this. Just few more days and after bitcoin recovers in price we might see the fees sky rocket along with the price as network load starts to increases. Feels good to pay only 11 sat/b (approx 28 cents fee) when doing a normal transaction and getting your transaction included within next 3 blocks. And you don't have to pay more than your transaction. Use https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/ to get an estimation on how much fee to pay to get your transaction included in a given fixed amount of time/block.
5843  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: In this down market how your doing? on: January 25, 2018, 09:37:35 PM
I know we all can make a good profit when markets are going up but since last, one-month markets are down. So how is your portfolio is doing and are you selling or holding?
In case of crypto currency when you start investing when the price goes up, you make minimum profit and the chances of suffering loss is greater since the price may fall down drastically after you invest. But when you invest when the price is down there is a better chance of making more profit with less risk. So i am not selling, but buying and holding for a while  Smiley.
5844  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin need to be taxed? on: January 25, 2018, 09:32:16 PM
if Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency want to be acknowledged by the state then the tax should be enforced
and all companies that provide services exchange or buying and selling Bitcoin too.
In order to tax bitcoin, you will have to regulate and put on policies on all the crypto currencies. Once you start regulating, it becomes more like a centralized fiat currency and loses its features like anonymity. You lose full control of your coins and thus the main goal of crypto currencies such as bitcoin are destroyed.
5845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: With which coin would you like to wager in a casino? on: January 25, 2018, 09:29:51 PM
as BTC Price is quiet high and especially the fee I would like to ask

With which coin a player would like to gamble in a casino?

please let me know (serious) if you want me to add another coin

With the current network situation, i would suggest Ethereum, Litecoin and Dogecoin. Transaction fees are very high in bitcoin, so i don't think you will attract enough "regular" users who are willing to  gamble just for fun. Dogecoin seems to a very good addition in this case. It is very cheap and fun to play with. Never heard of RBIES though.
5846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is a ripple? Should you invest in ripple? on: January 25, 2018, 09:22:58 PM
I found out a lot of information about Ripple and I decide now whether it is worth investing in this cryptocurrency or not.
Ripple is more centralized due to all regulations they are compiling with. You can invest on Ripple and join the hype to make some quick profits. But do remember that the currency is "centralized" so it may not be able to compete with the current crypto currencies. You could also try investing on Stellar (XLM) which forked off from ripple protocol and is more decentralized.
5847  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best Time To Buy Bitcoin!! on: January 23, 2018, 09:00:49 PM
Yeah, now is the best time to buy. Investing your money now on bitcoin and other huge crypto currencies will actually give you good returns. This happens every year. We see a price dip on the beginning and then a price rises significantly on a mid year every year.
5848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have $20K USD to invest - What do YOU think i should go for? on: January 23, 2018, 08:58:29 PM
Hi guys,

I'm a lurker, but decided to post today. Reason for not posting before is that there seems to be a lot of 'fear' on this forum.

Anyway, I have $20K USD waiting to be invested in ALT Coins. What would be YOUR coin to invest in?

I am already deep in TRX and I'm up over the past month. So I don't really want to buy at the price its at now.

I was thinking NEO, after reading the white paper, taking into account the supply, market cap and ETH profile.

Your advice / views is much appreciated.

Please bear in mind this is no guarantee I will decide to invest on the back of the advice given. But it might sow a seed for further due diligence on opportunities I may have missed.

Thanks again
Looks like you are doing your own research before investing your money on alt coins. This is indeed a good thing to do. I would suggest you to split your investment into some portions. Keep a portion of your invest for long term profit such as Litecoin and Ethereum and the rest for quick short term profit.
5849  Economy / Economics / Re: Which crypto-currency do you prefer? on: January 23, 2018, 05:41:38 PM
At the moment I prefer Bitcoin, but I am looking for an alternative. Can anyone suggest me some alternative cryptocurrencies except Bitcoin ?!
P.S: I'm so sorry if I post this in the wrong board but I don't know what is right board for this question. If I post this in the wrong board, please move it to the right one, thank you.
Try investing your money on top currencies. You can find a list on coinmarketcap.com . Keeping BTC your first choice, you can then invest of Ethereum and Litecoin. You can even try investing on some new coins but make sure they are legit and not some shit coins.
5850  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: KFC now accepts Bitcoin! on: January 23, 2018, 05:39:30 PM
Well I think this is a pretty good start for payments using bitcoins. People should actually use bitcoins to buy things using bitcoins now because if they actually use bitcoins for such payments, more and more people will start accepting bitcoins as payment. I think this will eventually increase and get better over time.
Not sure if bitcoin was the best option right now. Look at the fees and let us not forget about the transaction time! Pay $20 + $5 + another $20(fee) for just a bucket of chickens? Or pay less fee and wait for hours for the delivery?
5851  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin prices dropped, should you buy? on: January 20, 2018, 01:46:55 PM
You should invest in bitcoin whenever you can. You should invest more when the price drops. Just investing when the price drops isn't efficient enough to maximize your profit. You will have to wait a lot for the price to drop. But since the price tends to go up always, you can invest anytime to get your profits.
5852  Economy / Economics / Re: Nova exchange shutting down on: January 20, 2018, 01:26:43 PM
ahh this news is astonishing,  I don't believe this at the first site. Anyway confirmed now,  but will there be a chance  to recover?
I did hear that they are going to reopen. But the ownership has been transferred with new partner along with share holders. So that means the old owners are no longer related and the owners has been changed. If you are trusted the old owner, this does not mean that you can trust the current owner. Just keep an eye on the exchange for a while and if everything seems smooth use it.
5853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GREAT CRYPTO DEPRESSION on: January 20, 2018, 01:23:48 PM
I wouldn't say this was a great crypto depression.  It would have been a great crypto depression when the price actually falls less than 80% and stay on that point for few weeks. The price fall we had (which went to almost $9,000 USD) was only for a day and recovered soon enough.
5854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you ❤️ crypto??? on: January 20, 2018, 01:21:28 PM
I believe that blockchain technology can change the financial system of the world.  I believe that we are at the first stage of great changes and will be able to become participants in this revolution. I would not want to miss this
You do know that bitcoin and blockchain are two different things? Bitcoin is a crypto currency that uses blockchain technology. They are not the same but are related to each other. Blockchain is used for storing all information about the currencies in a public ledger which can be verified.
5855  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I already want to buy some coins. Do you still need to wait? on: January 19, 2018, 09:09:37 PM
The decline is continuing. But I'm afraid I may not have time to reach the bottom. I feel this is a good opportunity. What do you think?
This question has been asked in the forums several times during price fall. Why do people hesitate when it comes to invest money on crypto currencies after a price fall despite the same thing happening several times before with a same result? Keep investing on smaller amount, the more it drops, the higher you should be investing. Once the price start to recover, sell or hold on further to maximize your profit.
5856  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Altcoin on: January 19, 2018, 08:53:56 PM
Bitcoin investment is safer and altcoins investment can give you more profit but it's riskier.
Not all alt coins are risky investment. You can hold some of the alt coins for long term to make some sweet decent profit. And also, the alt coin market follows the trend of bitcoin market. When the price of bitcoin rises we can see price rise in alt coins too. Same goes for the opposite. When the price of bitcoin drops, the price of other alt coins also starts to drop.
5857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CryptoCurrency market is crashing on: January 19, 2018, 08:38:50 PM
The fall of the market is always a chance for someone to buy coins at a lower price. Some people are eagerly awaiting the fall of the market to buy coins and then sell them with great profits.
This is what usually happens in crypto market. But buying based on this is actually quite more risky than it looks. You might buy coins at a certain price after a fall but then the price might fall more thus keeping you in a negative position even after the price rise. You can't always expect the market to rise back higher.
5858  Economy / Marketplace / Re: China calling for a wider ban on Crypto currency trading ? on: January 19, 2018, 07:48:13 PM
And sadly, they aren't giving any official statement of what they are going to do. All they say is that bitcoin trading "could" be banned in China, which results in spreading FUDs only. But even if they do ban, it will affect the market shortly but will eventually recover in its price like the same thing that happened last September when the Chinese government banned all domestic exchanges.
5859  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie should trade or not? Please give me idea. on: January 19, 2018, 07:37:30 PM
Hello every body.I am a Newbie. I joined Crytopia about two months ago. I hold CMT and TRX in the Binance and now i want to trade with some coin about: ADA,ETC,... Please help me give some idea i should trade or not? Thank lots of for all.  Tongue Tongue Tongue

Since you are new  I would suggest you to learn first. Learn how the market works. Learn about the coins. Do researches on the charts. Get to know more about the coins you will be investing on. Use your own instinct and try to figure out how the coin is going to be different from others. And always keep this in mind - invest what you can afford to lose.
Thanks for your advice,Besides Hold I also invest ICO, what advice do you have for ICO lending now?
To be honest, most ICOs are shit and they end up scamming people. They raise money from people and then runs away with the money. Most of the ICOs fail to give a working platform, thus the community loses their interest and as a result the project dies. If you do invest on an ICO, make sure there are topnotch and well known developers on the team. Read the whitepaper and see what they have to offer.
5860  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dip over? on: January 18, 2018, 06:05:04 PM
Do you think we've seen the worst of this dip for now?
Bitfinex cryptowatch shows the lowest deal on BTC for this time was 9,231$ which was just about a Fibonacci retracement (almost on point). I am not using TA normally, but I am considering it when thinking about the market. For now, it looks like the worst is over. This dip might be a healthy thing for the market, and CAN be the catalyst for another run-up.
What is your take on the situation?
None of us can say with full guarantee that the price dip is over and the worst we reached was $9,000 USD. But look at the market and the charts right now seems like the dip is over, at least for now. Bitcoin and other alt coins are in green and gradual recovering to its initial state.
