61  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sports betting arbitrage on: January 13, 2024, 03:04:19 PM
Sports betting arbitrage is a strategy in which a player takes advantage of discrepancies in the odds offered by sportbetting sites to obtain profit. Have any of you tried to make money this way? what difficulties did you encounter? What bookmakers did you use? Have any of you had problems with bookmakers because of this? Why does it bother them anyway?

I have been arbitraging for over 2 years now. I only use regulated sites that are available in my state.

62  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about luck? on: January 13, 2024, 02:59:28 PM
Most of gambling is about luck. But if you're looking into sports than its really about statics.
63  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: January 13, 2024, 02:58:30 PM
Sometimes I would gamble before work because some baseball would start before it. Either made the day really fun, or bad. So I stopped because there is no point going into work mad because of a bet.
64  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A brief advice for the newbie gamblers. on: January 13, 2024, 02:57:31 PM
Best advise is to not bet what you can't afford to lose. And tbh if you're looking into more strategy games like sports, you should gamble with play money first and see if you could be successful over 100s of bets before you attempt to use your own money.
65  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NFL Playoffs & Super Bowl Prediction Thread on: January 13, 2024, 02:56:09 PM
I would have to assume the 49ers will win, but could see the ravens as well. Bills don't play consistent enough.
66  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You'll be a discipline gambler in sports if you have a real bankroll. on: January 13, 2024, 02:55:27 PM
Everyone should be disciplined with their gambling budgets. It really depends on how you like to play. Some people could stretch 50$ for the month doing small parlays, while others would rather bet $50 on 1 game and just sweat the game for fun. Either way, you shouldn't gamble what you can't afford to lose.
67  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do not gamble with Loan Money~otherwise you will be in danger like me on: January 13, 2024, 02:53:43 PM
You shouldn't gamble what you cant afford to lose. It stinks but is a good lesson to learn, so hopefully you don't make the same mistake twice.
68  Economy / Gambling discussion / How to manage gambling winnings on: January 13, 2024, 02:52:55 PM
If you're a profitable sports bettor or any casino player, you should make sure to save money for tax time.

Every 2 weeks I calculate my profit on and put 30% away in a ALLY bank savings account that earns 4% APY per year. This way I can earn a little interest on my gambling tax payments.

I also will preload 15% of the prior years winnings into the account, so that I have a good baseline for expected tax. For example, If I made $100k the prior year, I would put $15k at the start of the next year, so that I am earning 4% APY with the money I expect to pay in taxes when I make another 100k. (I will also add 30% of the profit per 2 weeks like mentioned above)

What are your strategies?

If you're in the US and wanna learn how to make money sportsbetting without making risky 1 sided bets, PM me and I would be glad to help free.

Few things:
I don't use crypto sites.
I only play on sites that are regulate in the United States and available in my state.

Arbitrage betting will not get your funds stolen if you live in the United States and are only using books that are regulated. If you use crypto sites, then you would be risking the sites stealing your money.
69  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your thoughts on VIP Programs in casinos? on: January 13, 2024, 02:48:15 PM
I only bet on regulated sites. You can make thousands a year in the VIP programs, especially if you're hedging the free bets and promotions.
70  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a means to an end, Do it for fun and don't take it as a job on: January 13, 2024, 02:47:44 PM
The only way I would turn sportsbetting into a job, is if you actually have an edge over thousands of games. If you can be profitable over thousands of wagers, then it would make sense that you would focus on it and make a run for it.

72  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know when to stop on: January 13, 2024, 02:46:12 PM
its important to not gamble more than you can afford to lose
73  Economy / Services / Re: SELLING enrollments into sports arbitrage course on: January 13, 2024, 02:03:08 AM
Definitely would not recommend this to someone who has a gambling addiction. For everyone else, this is less and less about gambling and just risk management. You're generally not holding a bet for more than a few seconds, and the objective is to actually sell the bet off, so you're not holding on to a volatile betslip.

76  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🏆⚽🏀🏈Learn How To Arbitrage and make thousands a month🏆⚽🏀🏈 on: December 26, 2023, 06:11:36 PM
If anyone wanted to arbitrage, why doing it in a casino and using bookies which will likely ban you permanently when they find out? If one has a big enough budget to invest it would be easier and less risky to try to arbitrage using the differences of price of Bitcoin amoung different exchanges or even between different countries. It is less risky, but requires more set up and the same big bankroll to effectively get some gains.

For example, if I had family living in countries where Bitcoin has more demand and it is more valuable in FIAT/USD, I would try to send some, get back the FIAT and use it to buy more BTC here, until the prices eventually equal themselves, which would signal the time to move onto a different market or pair.
If arbitrage was so easy to perform in a casino then the dynamics and the knowledge of it would be more widespread, instead, nowadays it is rather a gimmick.

My thread isn't talking about bitcoin sites.

In the USA, only Ceasars does not limit, but if you play, you will still be limited without playing arbitrage
there the law is against the users as long as it allows this fraudulent activity on the sites

I'm not exactly sure what you're saying here. Ceasars does limit, and arbitraging isn't fraud.

It doesn't work the same way for everyone, and there are a lot more risks than you've mentioned, I think you forgot to mention that it's against the terms and conditions of the casinos, and any casino or sportsbook would ban or block the account of the gambler without a delay, and confiscate the funds immediately if they suspect they are doing something like this. So, I would say that it's better for a gambler to simply place one side bet instead.

I cannot risk $20k by depositing it in two different sportsbooks and then doing arbitrage betting because once one of the two sportsbooks suspects what I'm doing, things will get out of hand and if they confiscate the funds and lock my accounts, there is nothing I can do except contacting them and they barely return any money.

If you're using a regulated book in the US like I have mentioned they can not simply steal your funds. They can decline your bets, but they can not steal your money.

You would want to use as many books as you can, I wouldn't suggest using 2 books. however if those are the only you have available, then you could deposit like 2k on each site, so that you can make a bet and arb out. And then you could deposit more if another bet arises. With ACH your account is credited before the funds are actually taken, so its important to know some bank management before continuing with this.
