When I switched to USD and entered an amount it wouldn't convert.
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC PAYMENTS FOR ICO? on: February 18, 2021, 11:10:53 PM
Maybe you could release an erc that is redeemable to the mainnet of the other blockchain.

So basically people buy the ICO via the ERC token, then when the mainnet for the real blockchain launches, you can set up smart contracts or whatever your blockchain is capable of doing and accept the ERC tokens that were sold for the new native currency.

If you're working on an interesting project that doesn't have a coin, then I would love to hear about it.
184  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How do I create and design simple website? on: February 14, 2021, 03:14:57 PM
You could use a site like Squarespace to create a simple template website. They have implementations that allow you to add custom HTML code if you want to add something different. It's only like $30 a month or so if you want to pay monthly without locking into a year deal.

You could pay someone as well if you want it to look more professional, but for a simple project the templates should be fine.

186  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: PSA: How to create a good Project Development Thread on: February 11, 2021, 06:58:15 PM
I'm bumping this as I've seen a lot of threads that could use it.

The BPIP extension quickly shows me this thread gets bumped by throw away accounts every few months or so.   I'm guessing while you took a break from the forum, you kept this thread going.  I'll also remind everyone I've verified he has investment money, and he's not an idiot that will fall for a scam.

Lots of 1 post accounts go on my threads, but I don't own any of them.

This thread was made just to help people make better project development threads, but thanks VOD Smiley

It would work so much better if you had someone proofread the text, and then used real voices.

You could even pay someone on fiver or even here to read the text.

I have built a trading platform in GoLang and crypto wallet it can handle real 12 000 transactions per minute.

I can sell you a copy if you are interested. Also, I've planned to make a white label Crypto Exchange service where anyone can run its own cryptocurrency exchange in less than a minute but do not have enough funds to do that.

I'm not really interested in this.

Looking for more projects Smiley
196  Other / Archival / Re: Is there a crypto Poker site with decent traffic? on: February 04, 2021, 04:20:54 PM
Can anyone suggest some Poker sites which allow deposit/withdraw with BTC and there are some traffic?

I have tried to play on SwC, but there are not enaugh traffic to play regularly.

I have checked Betnomi aswell, but seems there are mostly micro mtt-s. Not much for low/mid stakes mtt player.

You should try ACR. Good traffic there and Bitcoin deposits/withdraws are allowed.
197  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase IPO isn't good for Bitcoin investors and here is why🧐 on: February 04, 2021, 02:59:18 PM
I dont like to store money on exchange in general and coinbase is difinetly not the best place for it. I like non-custody wallets like ownr or exodus

No one should store on an exchange. If you don't own the private keys then you don't own the Bitcoin.

199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 6 DeFi projects to watch in 2020 🎯 on: February 03, 2021, 01:44:26 PM
This is quite a good list and I believe all these projects will do very long in both short terns and long terms. Already keeping some eye on them.

I would love to see how DeFi does In the next ten years. I believe some of these projects will be gone in the near future though.
200  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase IPO isn't good for Bitcoin investors and here is why🧐 on: February 01, 2021, 01:51:26 PM
I'm still not sure I get it, or am I failing to assume that Bitcoin investors are also Coinbase investors? I don't think that'll be the case. Exchange users do sometimes invest in the services they use but it's seldom at the expense of their Bitcoin holdings.

Coinbase users to me are quite a different species of crypto people from actual Bitcoin users. But I know I'm making a lot of assumptions, since I only know a handful of Coinbase users =)

The point I'm trying to make is that Bitcoin will be a better investment than Coinbase in the long term. I'm making an argument based on realistic views of the industry.

I'm not saying people won't buy Coinbase. I'm just saying that it won't be as good as Bitcoin.
