62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Pigeoncoin (PGN) – a cryptocurrency network with a new X16S (shuffle) algo on: March 30, 2018, 09:54:37 AM
A reminder for those that don't read all pages:  the ANN itself says this:

Quote
On day five, I asked our group of twelve to start onboarding more miners...

For 5 days, it was mined by only 12 people.  These 12 are going to get rich from your buys.

I like how people these days get out of admitting there was a pre-mine.  Sometimes it is "oh we were just testing network".  But this is a new one: "oh I was mining with 11 friends, so it is not a pre-mine".

If the 12 founders think I'm just being a troll, how about you actually either (1) explain why letting 12 people "early mine" makes for a fair launch, or (2) actually make it fair by burning everything you mined in the first 5 days?

If your answer to (1) is "we posted a discord link in one place, anyone could have joined (even though only like 100 people look at the place we posted the link)", try again.

ALSO:

Quote
The next day, last night, a GPU randowhale nearly burned down the network.

The difficulty on your network adjusts REALLY slow.  How many blocks did this "randowhale" take?  3000?  5000?  Why shouldn't investors be *TERRIFIED* of this guy dumping?  This is the REASON every coin should make a fair launch: if the network had been public from the start, your CPU hash would have been a lot higher than 20 MH, and other people would have been working on a public GPU miner sooner.

EDIT: More math:

Blocktime is 1 min = 1440 blocks/day.  Yet at the time of this ANN, over 23,000 blocks were gone.  So no, it wasn't just a "six day premine".  16 days' worth of blocks were taken in those 6 days (because of how slo your difficulty moves).

Raised the same thing a few pages back. Only thing you will be met with is silence.  All it is just a pump and dump scheme for the 12 friends to make some BTC

Was hoping there was something more. Anyways all the best, not worth the effort
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Pigeoncoin (PGN) – a cryptocurrency network with a new X16S (shuffle) algo on: March 29, 2018, 11:42:18 PM
Besides a slightly updated algo which frankly is not much. [ ... snip ...]

To be fair, that statement could be used to describe Raven as well. They didn't create a new algorithm, so much as they combined a bunch of pre-existing algorithms. Sure, Raven has promised to do something more than simply x16r in the future, but it's just a hope and a prayer at this point.

It is much more than hope and prayer.  They have an entire team with active development(not in public repo yet). RaveCoin could replace ETH and how tokens are issued completed.

Besides the fact that PigeonCoin was not a fair launch at least bring something else to the table.

Quote
On day five, I asked our group of twelve to start onboarding more miners...

The above alone has tainted the project in my opinion, dare I say just pump and dump for those guys that premined  for 5 days before making the ANN public
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Pigeoncoin (PGN) – a cryptocurrency network with a new X16S (shuffle) algo on: March 29, 2018, 10:23:17 PM
Besides a slightly updated algo which frankly is not much. What does PigeonCoin plan to do that RavenCoin is not doing? Will PigeonCoin just be merging in RavenCoins new releases that are planned?

If it is just to prove that x16s could be more effective for miners then it has no long term value

What are your plans? Is this just a clone that copies as RavenCoin innovates?

Can someone from CryptoBridge confirm or deny if this thread about MadCoin MDC is real or a scam:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3156614.0

As far as I know, MDC is a stable coin with a real developer, who is still planning to actively develop and promote the coin. Original MDC thread:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2605658.480

The new thread claims that CryptoBridge is complicit in a takeover, with all deposits after block 120,000 being rejected and only the "new" version of MDC will be allowed. But this version looks shady, controlled by a few people from a private chat channel. As far as I know, the original developer is against the takeover, and I see nothing on the CryptoBridge website that supports the idea of a takeover or swap.

Please let me know what is the truth.

As far as I know CryptoBridge remains neutral at all times and will not be assisting in any kind of take over. You can join their discord and just ask the devs.  At most CryptoBridge will list a new coin but not a take over or swap.

Just wishful thinking from that group of few people.

I checked out the escrows in this link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2439910.0 but it doesn't seem like they are even legally licensed to run an escrow service. I also googled 3rd party escrows and found out a lot of them scams or pyramid schemes. How can I trust this? I definitely think I'll just take my business somewhere else. Thanks anyways guys. I actually learned a lot on here and how people in crypto handle business.

License to run  escrow service for Bitcoin on the forum?  Your right it would complement the license obtained to launch and run Bitcoin

I'm in Pa but the point of this is to get bitcoin. I don't want cash. As for escrow, I will never use escrow again. It's too risky for sellers because of bunk buyers. I was burnt on bitify by a buyer because of excepting escrow. If you're interested then payment will be made to my btc address, I will ship usps with tracking. if you're uncomfortable then that's cool I understand and thanks for the reply.

No one will buy from you on this forum without accepting the use of an escrow.   To any noobs trying to get a good deal you have been warned by other users above.  This is a scam as long as he does not accept escrow.

There is no reason why you should him him payment upfront since he has no trust or history on the forums.  Was interested in the laptop but the above is a red flag

All the best

67  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN][NEW][EXCHANGE] stocks.exchange new altcoin exchange on: March 13, 2018, 08:18:06 PM
Don't waste time with stocks.exchange they have a poor response time to resolve deposit and withdraw issues. Took me more than 1 month to get my issues resolved.  If you are looking for new gems or shitcoins better to use CryptoBridge

This nonsense is constantly repeated.
Average 10 day volume peaked Jan 23 at about $2.8 million and, now, 6 weeks later is down 65% at about $1 million...

At the moment everything is down at crypto compared to a few weeks ago, and so the volume (in Dollar) on the exchanges. But if you compare CB with other exchanges it doing really well. Have a look at at https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/volume/24-hour/
CB is always in the top 110 - 90 on the uptrend. Not bad for a young in beta DEX like CB. In my opinion CB should be at least in the top 50, when I see what horrible exchanges with kyc limits, closed registrations, crazy fees for adding new coins and questionable coin delistings are listed there Roll Eyes

All of CBs volume is not tracked on Coin Market Cap since not all pairs are listed by CMC. Use http://www.cryptobridgestats.com/ to see the daily volume much more than 1 million

I just completed my test run of staking 10 BCO for 30 days. I was able to get 2 payouts comprised of about 90 different coins in very small fraction portions.

When I "claimed" my own coins after the 30 day period I was charged 0.55 BCO. That is a rediculous amount.

Maybe if you staked 1000 coins it would work out. But small amounts you will be losing money.

...users and volume grow monthly, and so do the staking payouts.

This nonsense is constantly repeated.

Average 10 day volume peaked Jan 23 at about $2.8 million and, now, 6 weeks later is down 65% at about $1 million...
From my perspective as a trader there is no reason to expand trading on CryptoBridge beyond 10 minutes/day.

Also, the profits were made by traders that did NOT stake, but sold into the ridiculous pump to $200 million cap (so I'm happy)...
Seem familiar? Yes, it's almost identical to the insane STEEM Pump of mid-2016.

Polo sold for $400 million and were doing about $150 million/day...
So if Polo sold for 3x daily volume... that puts CryptoBridge value in the $3-10 million range.

Zer0Sum is still on CryptoBridge it seems. Remembered your initial FUD posts back in the early days.   Unlike a lot of exchanges that engage in wash trading CryptoBridges volume is organic and will continue to grow.  Lets revisit this post in the next 3 months and see where the volume lands

It would have been good to be transparent with regards to the premise as indicated above. Your motives for launching the coin and not being transparent can now be questioned.  Was looking for a scrypt coin to mine but this seems like the typical pump and dump when you already own > 1 million of the coins out of ~5 million supply

Additionally not even a statement about what you will be using the premine  for. All the best

hi, all guys, be careful of  crypto-bridge.org, I mined all coins directly to crypto-bridge.org wallet, and after few days, I found that they have at least 1/3  deposits not in my crypto-bridge.org  wallet, they cheated my coins or  anything? today I send 3 times to crypto-bridge.org wallet, only received once.

hey dumbass haven't you seen all this post about not mining to an exchange address. all this new hate directed at cryptobridge seems like a coordinated attack from a competing establishment. I have been using the exchange from the first week it commenced and yet to have one problem with it, so it seem suspicious that all of a sudden all of you fucks start having an issue at the same time yet those of us that have been using the exchange from the beginning is yet to experience what you talking about.

many people same as my problem, I wanna know, can I get my coins back?

As most users know that use the exchange this is really not true. CryptoBridge did not "cheat your coins". If you have a deposit issue then simply join the discord on the support channel or send a ticket to their support email at support@crypto-bridge.org .  Try to get your issue resolved first before making accusations.

There will be numerous other users that have been using CryptoBridge and can vouch for them as an exchange.

Sorry, new to this. How do I run a node/gateway? The github only has the webUI code and "cryptobridge" is empty there.

I'm looking to do this because it's unusable as-is due to any nodes near me having too-high latency.

I can only sometimes view the deposit/withdraw screen.

Edit: nevermind. Realized it's the BridgeCoin on github. Which presents its own problem. I have to compile from source since there are no releases.

I'm willing to do that but for me it's a full-day project due to dependencies not always being clear. I'm willing to spin up a VM and do it but...

If there's any official compiled versions that anyone knows of, please let me know.

What you could do is run a local BTS node. You can then join their discord chat and look at the channel that goes over setting up a  bts node.

You can also build https://github.com/CryptoBridge/cryptobridge-ui and point it to your local BTS node.

Hi, i'm new to DEX and i'd like to know if there is API to trade at CryptoBridge?

And how to recieve 50% BridgeCoin profit? I can just hold BCO at exchange or in my wallet?

See their tutorial https://medium.com/@cryptobridge/tutorial-how-to-stake-bridgecoin-bco-on-cryptobridge-to-receive-50-of-profits-ce3fea3fad2e

I have the same problem, I have sent BCO from my personal BCO wallet to crypto-bridge and the coins didn't arrived (350 confirmations).
Also another problem is that I can't generate a new address in the platform platform, neither desktop or web one. I get this error:

Select another node and try again. By now you were already able to process a deposit/withdraw and forgot to update your post

Now, as long as the deposit is 0.18bco, we lost more than 40 BCO before the deposit. After that, we didn't earn any fees even after staking. We just want to say that the loss is large and we don't know what the developers think.

All early stakers paid 40 BCO to create a staking position. It is not a lost since we all knew the cost then. The BTS committee  recently reduced the fee to create a staking position. They also have a blog called CryptoBridge Fees explained. Scroll their blog to find the info
https://medium.com/@cryptobridge

Payouts are bi-weekly, there has been no payout in January as the next one is the 15th of January. What is your username?  Please post it for everyone to help you on the forum, you can see if you got payouts or not since it is on the blockchain.https://cryptofresh.com/

Bts already had a decentralized exchange, so why there was a need to create another dex based on same bts model, i know it is doing good but looks same as the bts dex.

If you spent any time at all reading on their website, their blogs and looking at their roadmap you would understand the differentiating points. DEX uses the BTS blockchain and starts with launching using the open source UI while they complete their deliverables and items on the roadmap,

Educate yourself before asking pointless questions

But i don't understand, for cancel an order i have to pay fees ??

They wrote a post that discussed this in detail. https://medium.com/@cryptobridge/cryptobridge-fees-explained-8731e8a4ded9   It is due to the decentralized nature of the DEX. All transactions occur on the blockchain.  You can look up your trades and other activity using any BTS explorer by just putting in your username at  https://cryptofresh.com/

is it possible to download the whole history in CSV or at least see it?
I couldn't access my past payout history, for example, wanted to compare this payout with last one but I can access a max of 15 days in the past. not more than that.

You can always see all your payments on the blockchain. Simply put in your user name at

Hi..I have over 400 Bridge coins and my wallet isn't syncing for i don't know how long. Can anybody tell me how to fix this? Or at least put some Addnode so i can start the syncing so i can stake. Thank you

The Devs are maintaining the blockchain however it may be tough to synch up depending how long you have to go.
Anyone have a bootstrap of the latest Chain for him?

Leave it open let it catch what it can when it can. then move to DEX and you wont have a problem.

It is just not moving and i have had my computer on for days on end now. I tried installing the new client from the site and get my wallet.dat file and put it in there, but nothing happens. Maybe i have a really old wallet?

or maybe someone could add some addnode..........add  files/nodes.  Thanks for all the help. i really feel like i am missing out on staking rewards Sad

It's syncing fine, have 5 peers... and just did some transfers.

104.237.2.189:6333
178.63.104.7:6333
45.79.151.135:6333
95.85.50.70:6333
176.9.24.230:6333

The explorer says 1.5 Mh...
Which is like a $50 scrypt gridseed mini pushing the chain... if that is correct = zero security.

As discussed numerous times the BCO blockchain served its purpose of distributing BCO fairly via public minning from July - December 2017. This has nothing to do with security, good fud effort however.   It is only maintained to allow anyone that might need to transfer BCO to the DEX to do so and nothing else.
