61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to identifying GPUs in EthOS on: May 29, 2018, 08:45:29 PM
You might try posting in the proper forum. This is for bitcoin mining only. EthOS has its own thread down in the altcoin section where this should be posted.
62  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 17.2TH/s, 1570W Innosilicon announces the most powerful and efficient BTC Miner on: May 29, 2018, 08:41:26 PM
Translate this  and you are saying let bitmain  keep its secret asic boost on its own pools.

Anyone against halong or inno_silicon  using asic boost is supporting bitmains covert asic boost.

This is just pure ignorance.

1. Nobody has EVER proven they used 'covert asicboost'

2. It doesnt work with seg-wit so it would be dead already.

3. I am against halong and inno because they scammed customers by not releasing the GENERALLY ACCEPTED FACT that bitcoin miners can run all sha256 coins, and waiting until preorders were over to tell people they cant.

I really didnt expect you to be one of those tin foil hat people but this is just sooooo ignorant I had to say something. So much misinformation is put out by people considered experts on here, its kind of depressing.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: HELP , been blocked on: May 29, 2018, 06:24:36 PM
I told you in your other threat to read the rules. This is still a bitcoin section, please open your eyes and read.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: HELP , been blocked on: May 29, 2018, 05:42:03 PM
First step would be to post in the right forum. Please read the rules for each section, this is for bitcoin only.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Innosilicon A8+ How to connect? Fake Psu ? on: May 29, 2018, 03:57:06 PM
I dont know of any PSU with 16 PCIE plugs by default. It looks like you just need some splitters.
66  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: I share my installation with you - what do you think of this small farm on: May 29, 2018, 03:48:56 PM
The only recommendation I can make is find a way to run the miners without AC. Profits are not the best right now, and running that AC basically costs what one of those machines makes in a month. You can improve youir profits by like 20% just by not having to run AC.
67  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 4in Shrouds vs 6in Shrouds what makes a miner cooler? on: May 29, 2018, 03:43:01 PM
My opinion is you shouldnt be shrouding and ducting these machines, they were never meant to be setup like that.

If you have to, there have been many people on here that can confirm 6 inch ducts lead to much lower temps than 4 inch.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Deception & Misdirection by ZEC co. Forking ASIC Resistance Bitmain Antminer Z9 on: May 25, 2018, 04:22:56 PM
And another Bitmain proxy shilling the grand illusion.

Tell me, how are all of you with the L3 doing now?  Hmmmmmm?

Tell me, how are all of you with the S9 doing now?  Hmmmmmm?

Now you want the Z9; thinking it's the future of mining.  Ever heard of this thing that repeating the same thing over and over again while expecting different results equals this thing called, "INSANITY?"

I can tell you my s9s are still making millions. You and your lil shit GPU farm are nothing, yet you act like you are so great and your shit dont stink. My farm makes more in a week than you have in your entire career with crypto so stop talking like you are something special. You are just another deluded idiot that cant even offer a legit argument to support your wild ass claims.

You are so far up your own ass you cant look at anything objectively and your only response is to just call everyone Bitmain shills or insult their english skills. You are truly a toxic piece of shit, people like you are nothing but poison to the crypto community. There are 15 pages of people pointing out flaws in your arguments and you have done NOTHING to prove anything you say is true.
69  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: May 25, 2018, 03:53:17 PM
Has anyone tried putting the S9i firmware on a S9 yet?

Until it is know what the actual differences are, this seems like a very high risk action with almost no reward.
70  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 175 asics, how much AC? is it worth? on: May 24, 2018, 10:48:42 PM
I dont know what kind of regulations you have there, but I have seen many mines us simple double sided foam insulation to build cost effective barriers. Just cut squares and stick the exhaust side of the miner through.
71  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 175 asics, how much AC? is it worth? on: May 24, 2018, 10:40:56 PM
Also, you machines move over 3x the air you have for intake and exhaust. You should look into having a much larger exhaust setup with a proper hot/cold isle separation, which I cannot tell from your drawing if you have.
72  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S7 Fire on: May 24, 2018, 10:32:23 PM
The documentation for testing s7 boards from bitmain clearly states never leave a hashing board plugged in for over 5 minutes even when at idle or testing, and I can confirm they will melt right through the table.

I accidentally did it during my bitmain training....whoops!

73  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 175 asics, how much AC? is it worth? on: May 24, 2018, 10:28:48 PM
The mistake in your calculations is that your air conditioner is not even close to big enough to handle that many units
74  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: May 24, 2018, 10:27:32 PM
Those of you who paid top dollar for the S9 in December and January are beginning to wonder if my assessment is correct now, aren't you?

No because most of what you say is misinformed and ignorant.

Ill put any thousand of my S/T9s against your dumpy lil GPU rigs and we can compare profits.
75  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S9 back fan cable melting on: May 24, 2018, 08:41:33 PM
104f ambient intake temps? How do your machines even run?
76  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Need Opinion - PCB Protective Lacquer/varnish hash board on: May 23, 2018, 03:12:12 PM
If you are going to apply it, follow bitmains example for what they have, just cover components and not go crazy dunking the whole board in it.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can you run a Linux mining distro inside a Windows virtual machine? on: May 22, 2018, 04:48:06 PM
Teamviewer works in linux if that is your only connection method. Running a linux miner emulated in all cases will be worse than just mining on Windows if that is your only option.
78  Other / Off-topic / Re: Router with many devices on: May 22, 2018, 04:44:32 PM
I assumed when you mentioned all those wireless devices that you had standard users too, since mining on wifi is usually doesnt work out so well
79  Other / Off-topic / Re: Router with many devices on: May 22, 2018, 03:53:07 PM
You sure are asking alot of an ADSL connection.

I didnt even think they existed anymore.

In my experience ADSL doesnt have enough upload to support that many devices, not even close.
80  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitmain registers S11, S11+ and F3 with Russia FSB Protocol on: May 22, 2018, 03:51:36 PM
With a new antminer i hope they return to a previous design with a solid heatsink with actual thermal paste not thermal adhesive like they have been using since the s5+ miners. I know it will take up some more space but the ability to use high quality thermal paste and have quieter fans with more even heat distribution (since the heatsink will be 1 solid piece all the gaps between the current design would help evenly spread the heat over all the chips instead of just that 1 chip) would deff make up for that added space in my opinion. I know others in data centers r more worried about density and the more they can pack in the more they make everyday but in my care im strugglin with findin enough power to run all my machines...i have the space...tons of space but not enough breakers in both locations to handle the load of more machines so i have to figure that out or stick with the 2 locations i have now :/.

A solid heatsink is a terrible idea. It holds its thermal load much longer than individual heatsinks and has less surface area to dissipate with. Go check out the Avalon6 if you want to see exactly how NOT to design a heatsink.
