What do you mean with your comment Max? What has changed?

Hello to all, i have read a lot about lisk, i like the ideas. I would like to ask, is there a whitepaper or the roadmap is the guide to the teams plans ? If the second is truth can somebody tell me if everything is going as planned or nearly so ? Thank you

Take a look here: https://blog.lisk.io/lisk-development-roadmap-5afc4cd0612e#.329d84tc6

Everything is going according to plan. The roadmap however will need an update over the coming weeks.

Well, as you progress you see that some things are more important than others. Also, some might not be needed at all while other features need to be added.

Very normal in dynamic processes as software development.  Wink

I urgently ask everyone to make their own opinion instead of listening to random Bitcointalk users who's only purpose is to bash and troll other projects.

Is there at the moment any offical statement how Lisk will proceed with the earned Byteball amount?
Are there also some numbers available how many Byteball Lisk controlls at the moment?

Many thanks in advance!

The statement so far: for on-going operations and long-term storage.
But I think Max will comment on it in the near future.

On December 31, Lisk published the Financial Report 2016.
There you can find all the details about the financial resources of Lisk, including Byteball.

Thanks Poly, as always!

We won't dump them. I think we found a very fair method for everyone, currently discussing with Tony the details. After that we need to find a legal framework with our lawyers. Expect some news in February.

Dear Max!

Will we have some updates from the team?

There is no blog post in January, no reports, no community meetings. Last time you said, that the team will hire 2 devs till the end of January.

So how the processes going? You and Joel are very silent in this month.

Tomorrow we will start posting our weekly summaries again and at the end of the month we will conduct our monthly community meeting as usually.

https://lisk.io/ website not working... "Your connection is not secure"

DDOS or something else ?  Huh

ssl certificate expired.

Hope Max will fix this soon as possible.

Oliver is on it. Should be renewed soon.

Sorry for the inconvenience, we are focusing on daily meetings right now for our sidechain framework. So we lost track of the SSL certificate.

^n00Bs can't even mitigate a ddos attack to save their lives?  Cheesy *vapourware*

Lisk is a lucky project like Sasha's waves, they don't have the best technology, but they raised ridiculous amount of investment. Waves seems a little better, they released product, like full nodes, but lisk has not released any real product. The project looks another Crypti and will fail very soon. Fortunately I dumped my lisk on poloniex after launched, all the price was more than 0.001 BTC.

We released "full nodes" months ago. Wink

Problem is not the price, but the fact that nothing has been done properly for a year.
At this rate by 2018 will see the SDK, programmers will write the first dapps close by 2019.

Testnet, mainnet & foundation... a lot has been accomplished in 1 year despite the limited team and access to the funds until few weeks ago. Remember it took about a year for Ethereum to release their first wallet and to blow away all their funds... Lisk has all it funds and the real stuff is now going to happen.

SDK release is planned for this year (2017, not 2019) Wink

^so what you are trying to tell us they are that stupid to not cash out any btc in the 1000-1100 dollar range?  Grin  *very suspect!*

You are trolling again... Focus one question at the time: how old are you?

^yes mr. banksy i find it very odd that any and all inquiries i've made to the team has been met with silence!!! Obvious trolls are obvious!  Wink

I got exactly one private message from you, asking me for my email address. Just use our contact form or support center. Thanks.

^what's YOUR email Max?  Cheesy  *you shady bruh*

Ok cool will do:

Hi all,

From my (very limited) understanding it seems like smart contracts will be a big thing for Lisk and if companies see Lisk as 'the' smart contract application to use then the press / authority it would give Lisk would obviously be great.

Based on some research into Ethereum, Lisk etc, am I right in saying (in a very simply way):

- Smart contracts built via Ethereum are built on the actual Ethereum blockchain, meaning all smart contract applications are all connected to Ethereum, meaning if there's a vulnerability in one / in Ethereum, it could potentially affect all smart contract applications and Ethereum itself? AKA the DAO hack?

- If the above is true, I assume there's work arounds for Ethereum to solve this type of security issue?

- Whereas the plan for smart contracts being built on Lisk is for each smart contract to have it's own side chain which would increase the security in relation to the above example?

- @Max / Lisk team: Seems like smart contract dev is due to happen in phase 3 (Expansion). Obviously it's incredibly hard to say when we'd get to this stage but as rough estimates are we looking at 2018 for this stage?

Apologies for any mistakes! Thanks all.

Max, is there any way to calculate growth rate of LISK blockchain size in MB? In a year, 2 years.

Thanks

You could take the blockchain growth (in MB) of the last months and project it to the following months with a probable growth rate (of users = more transactions) calculated in.

However, the user growth rate is incredible hard to predict. Especially, with the SDK coming this year.

my node is running.

now i have two questions.

1. sometimes my IP changes. where do i have to put the url of my dns-service? e.g. liskon.duckdns.org.

2. what does this 96% mean?

is my node still catching up?

Do you know this tutorial? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TiiUf87s2Ho&t=96s

this video does not answer my questions. sorry dude.

1. Best to use a VPN with a static IP address to login.
2. Your blockchain is at 96% of the overall consensus height. So you are still catching up.

is there an how to? i want to run a node on one of my raspis. just for fun. i won't be looking for votes. thanks for the links.

It's honestly just one command.

https://lisk.io/documentation?i=lisk-docs/README

Use the binaries.

1.) Setup your Raspi
2.) Install the prerequisites
3.) Download the installation shell file from our servers
4.) Execute the command and start Lisk

If something doesn't work, go to Lisk.chat and ask either in #mainnet, #delegates or #technical-discussion. Smiley

You don't have to be a delegate to run a full node. If you want to generate blocks, try out our testnet.
